Good stuff in the IPA Review

Worth a good look, a taste on line here.

Chris Berg’s editorial on the array of subsidies and grant programs set up to “help” the private sector do what it should be doing without benefit of corporate welfare. The Book Industry Strategy Group, the Australian Tourism Development Program, the Biofuels Capital Grants Program (has everyone noted the inflated food prices in the Third World do to the rush for biofuels), Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business (what about simply slashing the paper work?) and about forty others.

Christian Kerr on the gigantic churning machine that is being planned to address climate change.

A graph of public servant numbers, showing that the election of Kevin Rudd did not arrest the upward slope, despite his promise to “take an ax” to the Canberra public service.

A profile of the wonderful achievements of Geoffrey Blainey, whose legacy will surely outlast history wars.

Alexander Deane on the way that Britain has evolved into the “Surveillance State”.

Sinclair Davidson on the ongoing revelations that threaten to discredit the warming alarmists beyond the capacity of the ABC and other fellow travelers to keep the public in the dark.

A parallel piece by Ian Plimer.

And much more!

  1. Good to see a big event planned for Geoffrey Blainey – Australia’s greatest historian.

  2. Thanks Rafe – the Geoffrey Blainey piece by Richard Allsop is online now: Blainey outlasts the History Wars, and a few other pieces are up here: March 2010 IPA Review now available.
