Kevin Rudd stating what Julia Gillard said in Cabinet about the carbon tax
That the Labor Party should not put a price on carbon until Mr Abbott changed his position and returned to the Liberal Party’s previous position.
Julia Gillard’s election promise
There will be no carbon tax under the Government I lead.
Julia Gillard today boasting of breaking the election promise
I’m happy to be judged about my credibility on carbon pricing. I got it done. Didn’t talk about it, got it done. I am the person who gets things done.
So how should we judge Julia Gillard’s credibility on carbon pricing?

I am the ‘person who’ll implement a tax on air, among other inexcusable idiocies.
Please vote for me, suckers, you know it makes sense…

Put that next to ‘there will be no tax on carbon under a Government I lead’ and you have the Coalition’s election campaign.
Is it any wonder KRudd is talking about the need for trust. It worked for Howard because he was an honest and decent man. It will not work for this rotten to the core bunch.

Rabz, she just don’t get it. I smell an open thread.
This government needs a soundtrack. I think we need a psych up song for each contender as they step into the ring.
My soundtrack for Gillard is: ‘Bad news always reminds me of you’ by the Triffids.
For Rudd: the Billy Bragg song that starts with the lines ‘I hate the Arsehole I become every time I’m with you’.
Song for the contest is ‘Deep in the woods’ by the Birthday Party where the killed waits for the killer, carving D I E into her skin. Deep in the woods a funeral is swinging.

Maybe Gillards song should be Neil Young’s ‘why do I keep fucking up?’

It makes you feel ill that these people claim to lead us. I am struggling to find something that they believe in besides their own righteous claim to power.
Congratz Julia. You brought in a Green policy at the behest of the Greens and two hate filled ex conservatives. Great record.
History will be very unkind. that is what keeps the smile on my dial.

ALP Rap song lyrics
‘we are us, so don’t you discuss,
Our promises, lies and and deceptions,
Whatever it takes to win elections.
We are us, can’t you see,
We lack nothin’ but credibility,
We are the mighty federal ALP,
We are the Unions money laundry.

“I am the person who gets things done”
Eh?
The Malaysian solution? The Prime Minister there didn’t even bother meeting her when she came begging to be rescued from the illegals.
The East Timor plan? Upon news of which Xanana Gusmão smiled his charming smile and asked “What plan?”
The school building revolution, when she paid CBD high rise prices per square metre for open air assembly area rooves on steel posts?
The Citizens Assembly which never assembled?
Or the Epping rail link?
The fat bottomed woman is delusional.

cause you to lose your job
send the cost of living through the roof
rack up debt like there’s no tomorrow
brainwash your kiddies
set fire to your house
flood the country with illegal refugees
remove your ability to speak your mind
feather our own nests and those of our criminal
colleagues
Etc, etc, etc…
You ungracious bastard!

I suspect that’s less a message to the Australian people and more an invitation for Labor MPs to recall the administrative paralysis that (allegedly) reigned when Rudd was PM.
After all, all this electioneering isn’t for the purpose of canvassing our votes!
Oh come on
24 Feb 12 at 11:00 pm
Good choice Gab. But I’d say that both Gillard and Rudd were born thatbway and then worked to perfect their God given talents as arseholes.
