There is a cryptic message on her site, pan down the Bloggies site for the winners. More here, huge results for the climate realists.
Congratulations to all the good guys who got gongs!
Updating, I should have listed them all up front. Jo for the best Aust and NZ blog, Tallbloke for the best European, Climate Audit for the best Canadian and Watts Up With That for lifetime achievement.
Hyperbole and a Half got best writing and most humourous. Must check it out sometime. If only books stopped coming in the mail. Last week a collection of heavy essays on Hayek’s legacy in psychology in a series of Austrian studies. And this week the rugby league kicks off at last.

and WUWT won a Lifetime Achievement Award
Curiously I was chosen as a nominator on the panel this year
No idea why
But nice to see Jo and WUWT win

Harry Clarke says you’re too old for this stuff, Rafe!
Oh come on

That’s a bit rich. Harry’s no spring chicken.

Not to mention the fact that this blog appears to have driven him raving mad.

Thanks for reminding me about Harry! Just thinking about him makes me feel young and laugh out loud.

Definitely check out hyperbole and a half. The art is deceptively “fake childish” which may throw you off some brilliant and hilarious storytelling. “Yarn” comes immediately to mind.

Congratulations to Jo Nova. She does some great analysis mixed with just the right amount of scorn and ridicule.

How does it companto an Oscar?
Well, if politics is Hollywood for ugly people, the next remove is that blogging is a form of politics for (mostly) faceless people – not so much the principals, but the multitude of us who go by noms de clef. What might once have been the rank and file.
The parlous state of political parties has been much discussed recently – and Rod Cavalier has been at it for years – in respect of the pathetic membership of the major parties. It seems that local branches have been dying everywhere. There may have been a time when you’d get active in a party branch to discuss things with like minded people. These days we do it on blogs.
