As reported in The Australian.
Investment decisions should be made by investors on a purely stand alone commercial basis and that Australian businesses, however they are owned, should be run on a purely commercial basis and not as an extension of the policy, political or economic agenda of a
foreigngovernment,” said Brian Wilson, chairman of the Foreign Investment Review Board, or FIRB.

lol, good call. Although sadly the many supporters of the LNP don’t that way.

More the point, stackja, do overseas regimes trust us to feed them given we currently export 60% of what is grown here.

Spare a thought for those that have trusted Labor to feed them and fund lavish lifestyles at taxpayers expense, stackja.

What a crock. There are many farms (including my own) that are not run on commercial terms. Moreover, I have a political motive for owning it – to avoid some of the constraints of NSW gun laws.
What difference would it make if I sold it to a filthy foreigner with a political motive?
