It’s broken

Hello everyone, your friendly Ozblogistan Tyrant here.

Ozblogistan was moved to new servers on Monday night by some subcontractors. The ensuing few days have been a mess because the move was only incompletely successful. In particular, bloggers have been unable to log into the wordpress backend to write posts or moderate comments.

This morning a threw a switch and it appears as though we are slowly coming back online. I’m very sorry for the disruption.

  6. Thanks Jacques, I’m sure it’s been more of a trial for you than for us, ie intensely annoying instead of just annoying.

  7. You didn’t build that new server – it was built for you!

  9. Jacques, it comes for free and is worth so much more. Who are we to complain? Just say ‘shut up you lot’ and we’ll all be very patient. You are far too nice.

Wayne will claim credit for the massive spike in national productivity figures for this quarter.

Spare a thought for our GetUp contributers who won’t meet their quota and miss out on their August bonus.

  17. Try Ctrl+F5 to clear the browser cache.

I’ve done that, thanks for the tip, Kaboom. However I still get the websitemovers notice when clicking the Catallaxy header or the Comments RSS link. Perhaps the same occurring for other people? And still have to fill in tabs for name & email before each comment.

  20. Jacques The Tyrant of Ozblogistan -

Thanks, you (and team?) have done an excellent job, which no doubt will be causing the sock-puppets all sorts of anguish….

    Salut!

  22. Gab, I have little, very little, or no wisdom to impart to iPeople, hence I did not comment on your 5:31.

Glad it worked out. Bottom line is that you have to post with your personna/e-mail every time, and this will catch out the sock-puppets to an extent that will astound!

  23. Thanx Jacques, I can now read comments on my tablet while sitting in the sunshine smoking. Bliss! I don’t have to get on a computer to read IT,JC,CL,Gab, Lizzie and the rest of the gang. Of course I also get to read SfB so it’s not all perfect. All the same, a job well done.

  27. Previous comment from the family Minimac has gone into the spam bucket. From the Minimac running Firefox I would get the Webmovers page trying to get to the Cat homepage.

Using the daughters’ IPad running Safari, I can get straight into the Cat home page.
