This is not a parody

The Obama campaign team has focused grouped and researched to its finest detail just those phrases that will get that magic 50.1% of the population to vote Democrat. This is an interesting campaign ad from the Romney side (via Andrew Bolt). What I also recommend when you get to the end of this is to watch the other video that comes up, “This is not a parody”. A bit of insight into the man who is “leading” the United States at the present time, and if the polls are right, may be doing so for the next four year as well.

  1. Very clever.
And it nicely exploits Obama’s own ability to deliver a crescendo, undercutting his emotional appeal at the end and rendering it hollow.

This ad will be a template for similar ads around the world for decades into the future, or longer.

  2. The ‘This is not a parody’ ad is reminiscent of our Kevni doing the rounds of the FM radio stations or the Lying Slapper simpering and giggling to the compliant Luv Meeja.

  3. Same speeches. Same promises. Same teleprompter?

  4. The teleprompter has been a huge disappointment over this term of office.

  6. Same speeches. Same promises. Further towards hell in a handbasket. How long does it take for such empty rhetoric to ring hollow? One term? Longer?

  7. Egypt’s Islamist president tells embassy to take legal action in U.S. against makers of Mohammed film

Earlier, Egypt’s president spoke in the “strongest terms” about Tuesday’s incident at the Cairo embassy — but not against the attack.
WhiIe Egypt’s prime minister called Tuesday’s incident “regrettable” and unjustified, President Mohamed Morsy condemned the anti-Muslim film that incited the protesters.
Morsy made a reference to Egypt’s duty to protect diplomatic missions and its opposition to unlawful protesters, but did not mention those who stormed the embassy.
“The presidency condemns in the strongest terms the attempt of a group to insult the place of the Messenger, the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and condemns the people who have produced this radical work,” the president said…….

In his statement, Morsy called on Egyptian diplomats in Washington “to take legal action against those people who seek to ruin relationships and discussions between people and countries.”

  8. Hieee! Me again.
So I watched the “no change” video, then the “Not a parody” one. Both of them reveal that even the good guys, deep down, are Commies.
“Are you better off?” and “Where are the jobs?” both assume that it is the role of the government to make people better off and provide jobs.
I am the only person who can “make me better off”, and jobs are only offered, as a purely incidental side-effect of companies making a profit!
Everything else is Communism, watered down to get past the medium depth thinkers. Each of these ads, whilst I hope they help the “Anyfuckingone except Obama” party, reinforces the categorical framework that makes disasters like Obama and Gillard possible.
We would all do well to ponder this sad fact my friends.

  9. He really is a windbag isn’t he. The Reason crowd were supporting this joker, too, calling him a “libertarian”.

  10. They should have added the question from a journalist who asked…

“Mr President what has been the most enchanting thing about being in the white house”?

  12. You wouldn’t be able to do this for Romney since his positions change so frequently.
