Sounds like something straight from the Politburo. The meme is obvious – everything is created by the collective. All that is missing is “we are Borg”.
This reminds me of the insane suggestion that individuals are not responsible for the great inventions, on the basis that “someone else would have invented them anyway”.
The big problem with such ideas is that they are normalized in our institutions such as universities, such that it becomes conventional wisdom. Be prepared for our collectivist, state-sanctioned future. You have been warned.
