  1. Thank goodness stood up in parliament to defend the Musselman, it appears all that bile she vomited out really was a great investment for the future.

What a day for Abbott. Backs the fat arsed lying slag into a corner, only for the prick she defended to resign in fucking shame.

  5. You sort of get used to our Parliament being a circus and then something even more bizarre happens.

anyway its best for slippy’s mental health, things like a bit dire for him legally and all, his marriage etc, big strain

  10. I cannot believe that Gillards judgement is so flawed. Bad enough she put Slipper in as Speaker but then why embarrass herself by publicly defending his behaviour.

WTF is the ALP thinking? How much more proof do they need that Gillard is just not up to the job? If Parliament needed a resident banshee, she would be shoe in.

” anyone with a dick that disagrees with me”

Cause nothing else really explains the bizarre show they put on in Parliament today.

Btw Slipper was right to resign. Better for him, his family, for everyone really,, except Gillard of course.

After today’s utterly embarrassing abortion alone the answer must surely be yes.

Will race riot mastermind John “smartest man in the room” McTernan who was of course instrumental in the absurd high school level performance in parliament today leave Australia to return to the third world toilet from whence he came?

On balance I’d say he was forced to go, even 87% of respondents on a poll on The Age said so.

Not content to show she still lives in the gutter, but adds to her disgrace by dishonestly calling Tony a misogynist. No lie is too far for her. No common fish-wife behaviour is out of character.

  115. Two beautifully apt and prescient statements from Abbott as bookends to Slippery’s career as Speaker.

I nominate the member for Chisholm today because the member for Chisholm is, quite correctly, a member of the government and should take the chair as Speaker. The member for Chisholm has been the Deputy Speaker before in this parliament, from 2008 to 2010. Since that time—since the government did not re-elect her as Deputy Speaker after the minority parliament began—she has served on the Speaker’s panel. I have served with the member for Chisholm on parliamentary committees in this parliament for many years. The member for Chisholm is a member of integrity and honesty who would fill the role of Speaker with absolute aplomb. She deserves to be nominated by the government for Speaker, not by the opposition, but I will nominate her in the absence of the government following the Westminster traditions upon which this parliament is based.

Marxian theory was mathematically disproven in the mid 20th century by a Japanese economist, Nobuo Okishio.

By giving a generous assumption about wages (Marx didn’t concede with a more parsimonious model and so if true for Okishio, true for Marx), Okishio proved that one of the major “internal contradictions of capitalism” was false using properties of matrix algebra.

Marxian economics is as valid as phlogiston theory, Alice.

I gotta admit I initially thought the Opposition chasing the Government over Slippers messages was a pretty stupid tactic, I mean who gives a shit that he made references to mussels, they’re private messages ffs. If anyone ever got hold of my work emails fuck me dead they’d be in for a show, none of it sackable though, just a lot of foul language shared between the fellas.

On top of that Gillards reply was actually pretty potent (and if the ALPBC get their way will probably get more air time than the slipper resignation).

But once again its been proven that Abbotts political ability is incredibly underrated. The man must have seen the fissure opening up and knew it only needed a bit of a prod before the whole thing broke open.

Marcus Licinius Crassus: Of course not. It is all a matter of taste, isn’t it?

    Antoninus: Yes, master.

Marcus Licinius Crassus: And taste is not the same as appetite, and therefore not a question of morals.
