So the genes that give women more stereotypically feminine features might just be ones that also tend to make for personalities that prefer conservative political views.

You may have a point re genetics. Prettier women learn early that men like them and want to secure them in marriage. Uglier ones have to try harder, often at something else, perhaps with a focus on ‘unfairness’ in gender politics (i.e. not born beautiful, boo hoo). This ‘easier marriage, easier appeal’ factor may induce a more conservative response in women committed to the marital ideal, who, ipso facto, are married or have been so and might be so again.
But it is a fairly tenuous linkage, with many other intervening factors and confounders to the causal pathway.
As for the research, it’s just a bit of fun, folks.

Putting aside the fact that this type of research is spurious crap, if you do take it seriously, another piece of social psychology research this week found that more attractive women are more conformist and supportive of the status quo. That aint risk taking.
