Can you imagine of the Lib XMas invites contained a comical picture of Julia Gilliard (of the dozens that come to mind)? The screams of “Misogyny” would burst your eardrums!

Petty, childish and exactly the pathetic tone that stirs the hate in the heart of the Labor base.
No surprises the lightweight Coorey peddles it.

But Abbott won’t say a thing about it. He’s spooked. Just the usual wet Liberal Howard-like turn the other cheek mentality instead of standing up to that sleazy bastard called McTernan who orchestrates all this arrogant obnoxious nonsense about Abbott. When, oh when, is someone in msm and/or the Liberal party going to point out that McTernan has said Abbott has to be killed – his quote, not mine, on record states “you have to kill your opposition”. WHO IS THIS PERSON CALLED JOHN McTERNAN FROM LONDON ? WHY ARE WE NOT SHOWN WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE AND TOLD WHERE HE LIVES IN CANBERRA ? AFTER ALL HE IS BEING FUNDED BY AUSTRALIAN TAXPAYERS. RECENTLY HE WAS FLOWN TO WASHINGTON BY GILLARD TO ADVISE THE OBAMA RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN PRESUMABLY AGAIN PAID BY AUSTRALIAN TAXPAYERS. IT’S A BLOODY OUTRAGE !!!!

We should not be surprised.
There is a class of persons akin to looters which sprays others’ money around with gay abandon; Labor represents thia class having members who have never created any wealth in their miserable lives but would ape those they have parasitised.
And will looter Julia be sending her bogan invite to looter Bruce?

Three words – Abbott Derangement Syndrome.
It’s really amazing to consider that one man is so capable of doing their heads in. I hope the Liberals keep Abbott as leader just so I can watch all the Lefty heads spin and then explode when he becomes Prime Minister.

To be fair,Toke, I think that Coorey was calling the ALP out on it. On the other hand someone might be moonlighting as Coorey, or on the gripping hand it is a sneaky little attempt to pretend how even handed he is by grabbing onto something that at the end of the day is trivia as proof he can criticise the ALP.

Yep, as above.
Tasteless, mean-spirited, sexist in intent, and unworthy of fair-minded adults in a democracy. The producers of this vile and nasty piece personal attack at a time of Christian peace and goodwill show that they are nothing but thoughtless, smarmy, snickering adolescents at heart.
Well, that’s Labor all over, isn’t it?
Unless some of their number speak out and condemn it, strongly, and soon.

I don’t think it’s sick or unreasonable in any way. I think it’s a lame attempt at humour but fairly innocuous for all that.
I feel the same way about the “welcome to ceremony” jokes that appear to have caused such outrage. I feel the same about Jones’ “died of shame” comment, although that was a little tasteless.
I’m not sure when Australia decided to become so easily offended by humour, but I am a little startled to find it has encroached on a libertarian blog. I’m not sure what the right response to this rash of offense taking is, but I’m sure it’s not pointing and saying “they do it too.”

It’s small bikkies compared to what mcternan/gillard perhaps have planned ahead for Tony Abbott.
Probably something along the lines of Catholic/priest/p5ado stories where tony abbott’s name can somehow be worked into in any way shape or form. perhaps that’s a bit cynical but.

The standard ALP talking point for this, is just relax, laugh, it’s a joke, and anyway it was supposed to be private, no harm done, hey comedians make fun of politicians all the time, humour is Australian, mate, etc. From the party of outrageous outrages such as calling Mr Rabbit a misogynist for an hour in parliament, it’s a bit fucking rich for them to then call for a good chuckle.

Just saw Bishop on Bolt; 3 records of Gillard’s setting up of the slush fund for the crook wilson have gone missing; they were all held in Federal court or equivalent secure locations.
Think about that; 3 seperate sources of documents to do with Gillard’s past activities have gone missing.
How fucked is that?
Bishop was very circumspect; and this is the problem; the documents went missing in WA and QLD, both coalition states and Bishop is the personification of decorum.
Why the fuck aren’t those states now setting up Royal commissions to examine why evidence of a Federal court status has gone missing.
This is the sort of thing the coalition should be doing instead of wingeing about a fucking xmas card.

It is not a lame attempt at humour, it is importing a sick and dishonest political agenda into Christmas festivities which in civilized society are a time of peace, good cheer and good will.
That this gesture can be shrugged off is a measure of the corruption of the political climate at present under the influence of the toxic MSM and Labor spin.

Rafe, it’s stupid and juvenile, but such hyperbole as

strikes me as a bit over the top. If you turn the outrage meter up to 11 for an adolescent stunt like this, what do you have left with which to condemn the fact that the ALP has, for instance, bred &/or enabled a shocking number of child rapists?
I hate it when the Left starts hyperventilating and choking over relative nothing-burgers; I can hardly do that *and* condone the same thing from my own side.

Point taken. I am generally opposed to hyperbowl (sic) and definitely opposed to playing the outrage game. So I went over the line this time. Thanks!

This is my point too. I hate the confected outrage that the left masquerades as argument. It’s become more and more prominent in the last year or two and I don’t think anyone, left or right, should feel that humour can’t be a part of the debate.
Lame or bad taste humour warrants nothing more than the observation that it’s lame or bad taste.
It’s true that the humour from the left seems to be more personalised, but I don’t actually have a problem with that.

How do Federal Court files go missing?
Wouldn’t it involve admin/security staff and so on, surely a person can’t just walk in and snitch a file, presuming they even knew where it was kept?

19 Nov 12 at 9:29 am
Someone commented here a Royal Commission into missing registry files. Bit OTT. No the Registrar in each jurisdiction should be on the carpet and enquiries of his/her staff. I worked in the NSW Federal Court some years back and there was no way I could wander down to the Registry and help myself to a file. I also worked in the Family Court and was able to move more freely in and out of Registry, plus daily handling of files. However, each person who handled the files had to sign on the inside cover of the files and the date signed in and out. All files were locked away in compactors overnight, so as people like cleaners who worked after hours did not have access to these very personal files. All files contain initiating documents, affidavits exhibits etc. and are or supposed to be handled with care. This is the Registry’s responsibility. Let us see, where this all goes.

What you say is true delfino; and I would agree if only ONE source had been compromised, but as I note FOUR sources have been compromised, 2 of which are Federal court branches.

Yup Cohenite, this is getting a bit too complex for them to keep the lid on it, and there is at least one Deep Throat, perhaps a recent AG? The ALP has many honourable men, and not all of Gillard’s colleagues from S&L remember her as young and naive, helping with the filing.
