  1. If we make it past december 21, we’ll hopefully survive the nukular holocaust that’s no doubt coming when the Iranians get the bomb.

  2. Sorry sincers but I really hate You-Tube videos that tell me I should upgrade to HTML-5 when I already have it in my browser.

It’s just that the behind-the-scenes checking doesn’t recognise my (latest) version of Firefox.

Can you persuade your blog techos to eliminate such false messages, please?

  3. All my Christmas shopping is done, and I’m ready to wrap. I love Christmas. Happy Advent everyone!

  4. So if this is Christmas Countdown 1, the next in the series will be Christmas Countdown Zero? When’s it going up, Christmas Day?

I note in passing that it seems to be impossible now to find Advent Calendars on a religious theme; instead it’s all “Angry Birds” or Disney or Lego. The free market at work but I’m surprised that nobody is servicing the original concept as one would think that demand would still exist.

  5. Cold-Hands you have to go to christian bookstores if you’re looking for things with a christian christmas message these days.

It’s the same with christmas cards. They’re there, but you have to hunt them out.

  8. JohnA, I have zero problems with my Windows 8 PC.
Waaal, one slight problem with a driver for the Berkeley Audio Design Alpha-USB hoofadat for the Hi Fi, but otherwise this website seems problem free from a technical POV. Another matter with the inanities written here from the commie trolls however.

  9. Cold-Hands @ 6:24pm

My youngest made one of her own, a cardboard grid I helped her make out of breakfast cereal boxes, stuck over with bits cut out of christmas advertising mail.
