Cumberbatch is only a few years older than Pine... An Augment coming out of stasis is certainly a possibility (even Khan himself)... in fact the timeline would be about right for when Enterprise discovered them the first time (in original series) - but it wouldn't work as well as Wrath of Khan movie, since there's no personal connection with Kirk, as Kirk hasn't sent him to exile.

Rumour is it’s Gary Mitchell, not Khan – an esper-oriented character and close friend of Kirk from TOS – who wigged out when he encountered the galactic barrier… but that could just be misinformation.

It's hard to see Benedict Cumberbatch, the new villain, as a "close friend of Kirk". Even with the new timeline, he'd have to get to the Galactic Barrier to transform into the potential villain. If not Khan himself, he is more likely to be another survivor of the Eugenics Wars like Khan, genetically engineered to be superhuman.

Sinkers,
you would love my favourite Tshirt. All Red with a Starfleet emblem in the appropriate place and in big letters on the front “UH OH”, then there is my water bottle which has a Gorn chasing a redshirt with “Run Redshirt Run” under it

While on the subject of sci-fi t-shirts, let me put in a recommendation for the online store Last Exit to Nowhere (based in the UK) for all your nerdy culture needs. I got a couple of Blade Runner themed shirts, plus another from the movie High Fidelity.

G’Kar and Londo.

If you can make it through the patchy acting and occasionally awful dialogue in other parts, the respective story arcs of those two guys make it all worthwhile. Fantastic stuff.

B5 was an awesome show Tator, even if some of the acting and dialogue was wooden (not to mention the woeful Byron arc in season 5). But it had more than enough good points to overcome it's weaknesses, not least of which includes G'Kar and Londo.

It was torture watching it on free to air back in the day - so many delays.

MMM DS9, gotta love a show with a ballsy lil ship like the USS Defiant. The A10 Warthog of the Star Trek universe, ugly but tough. Have got the box set of DS9 and have just finished watching Babylon 5 from start to finish. Tis a good way to entertain oneself when on long road trips out in the back of the black stump when moving big mining tonka toys around. You get sick of watching Austar and Springsteens 52 channels and nothings on is a common occurance.

Just watched the trailer for the first time, and my god films these days are going overboard on the constant blue/orange contrast. It's like they've discovered a new rule of thirds and don't have the imagination to break away from it.
