		<description><![CDATA[Taking up Mario&#039;s comment about the puzzlement of future generations over some Nobel prizewinners, I am inclined to nominate all the mathematicians - Arrow, Debrau, Samuelson, Nash and the others who didn&#039;t study the world that we actually live in. Some of the others are suspect as well, especially in econometrics and macro. 

I would like to see a calculation of the dollar cost of all the work that went down the drain in the Cowles Institute, Rand and the various places that sank billions into different fads and fashions that have yieded next to zero insight in the way markets work]]></description>
