Do people watch this show?
Fleeced

Dar God, why?
I’ll sum up.
Bunch of leftards bitch and moan about how brilliant they are and how the millenium dawneth under their benevolence.
One conservative demolishes the lot.
Bunch of leftards bitch and moan about why conservatives should shut up. Because SHUT UP!
Does that about cover it?
(and I only ever watched one episode)

Fleeced, three or four people watch the show and report here. They do this so that the rest do not need to be subjected to such lefty rabid TV.
Those who do such work – Carpe, Nilk, JC et al – deserve medals.

Many thanks to the team of masochists who suffer so that the rest of the community need not. Nilk, watching without the balm of alcohol seems like cruel and unusual punishment; surely you could take the night off? Good luck (with the tests or with enduring Q&A sans ethanol?)!
An especial thanks to Sven.

I am in for the rocky ride of Qanda. ON the upside, we have Barnaby Joyce on. On the downside, the rest of the panel looks rather average
David Feeney – right faction of leftie ALP.
Viv Benjamin – seems to be a leftie AID campaigner.
Alannah McTiernan – disgruntled former ALP member of Parliament.
Jeremy Cordeaux – Radio Presenter and by the looks of his bio, he seems to be a leftie.

LOL Gab, yes, I’m watching ‘cos I can ……
because the Bible says “know thine enemy” and
that’s how my daddy raised me.
This is my first viewing this year, and I actually
believe from here-say that the emphasis did change
a bit at the start of the New Year. The ABC can’t all
be headed for utter destruction in September, SOME of them might want to remain employed and retain their mortgages.
PLUS, I’m ancient (aged over 60), so I got taught once upon a time how to sort the nuggets from the dross, and I very much enjoy excercising my mind in this way still, it is a useful skill in many areas of life I find.
for nilk : it is far better to face your demons healthy and well, than alternatively. Prevention is better that Cure, etc etc.

Just like Malcom Farr on Insiders yesterday laughing at his employer News Limited’s campaign against state fascism, so Doomlord trashes his own website.
Q&A on the Cat is a magnificent railing by dissidents against the abuse of state power by an anti-democratic elite. It works best if you’re not actually watching the propaganda itself, but just reacting to the reactions of people you trust.
Doomykins is rationalising his alienation from the proletariat.

Good to see them doubling down on the stupidity and wickedness.

The current level of scrutiny that the PM faces is unprecci-precedented. It looks like a boys club, but MISOGYNY.
Viv: you are correct. It’s great we’ve got a female PM but let’s transition to a clean, clever country.
{ie. sfa about the question)
Snow Cone: Barnaby, how about you answer the question?
Barnaby: it’s nothing to do with Gillard’s gonads. It’s all about competence.
Cordeaux: the government has been shambolic, but thanks to a vigorous and observant media watching we get to see it.
Feeney: I don’t agree with it being shambolic – it’s a hung parliament.

Barnaby mentions the debt, and the Merrill Lynch and how bad it is. Nothing to do with sex, nothing to do with anything except the fact they’re incompetent.
If you had an accountant like Wayne Swan wouldn’t you look for another accountant?
Feeney: We can have these one-liners, but that’s not realistic.
Barnaby: I can expand on that.

‘the church must abandon all its core beliefs in order to do what we want’
duncanm

Feeney is a catholic and looked with great interest at the election of the Pope. “I’m encouraged by the fact he’s from Argentina, and I like Jesuits”

Barnaby: rubbish. You’re talking about censorship and centralisation.
SnowCone: what exactly is public interest?
Feeney: blather – it’s about something that’s good for the public.
SnowCone: but you can’t explain what it is.
Barnaby: the public interest will be defined by whoever’s running the show.
Viv: government has been stuck in a rut on reform, and is now rushing through, but we’re not sure if we’ll be able to achieve what we need.
Freedom of speech is good, but we need a diversity of voices, a diversity of views.

I absolutely fucking hate these lefties that think they they can tell the church what it should do, tell its followers what they should believe in, how they should care about this and that, when they constantly fucking mock and deride it at every chance they get. I mean I’m not religious, but it’s jut pathetic.
Although sometimes I think it serves them right. The Catholic Church in Australia likes cosying up to the left with all their ‘social justice’ shit. It’s kinda funny to see them smacked in the face by the left just a little while after they were standing side by side with them.

I’m not watching the show but I had presumed that Jones would ask a question along the lines of, “the new pope: Nazi or child molester? Barnaby Joyce, you’re a Catholic…”
And if I hear one more word about the ‘humility’ of the pope I’m going to puke. Archbishop Wojtyla used to be so raggedly dressed in Kraków that the ladies of the cathedral knitted him new jumpers and shirts. These pristine garments were seen on local tramps shortly thereafter.

Yeah, you’re right JC, her hairstyle really does suck. Also, she’s 43! I would have guessed far younger.
I think one of the problems in Australia at the moment is we’re not allowed to sack women for becoming unattractive, or even hire attractive women for jobs that are benefited by it. The left is EXCLUSIVELY interested in and actuated by the Church’s moral doctrines: abortion, marriage, homosexuality, human sexuality, life.
Nothing else.
Sure, they affect to be interested in and excited by variations of ‘liberation theology’ (Marxism with a crucifix) and other ‘social’ ideas. Incredibly foolishly – many prelates indulge this phony meeting of minds because they enjoy the break from criticism and mockery. Because it doesn’t matter much – they’re right about that – they get a psychic boost from appearing on the same platforms as atheists, ecologists, republicans and sociologists when the subjects are non-marital, non-sexual and non-moral. They think it shows people they have good hearts. ‘Sure, I oppose abortion but, look, I too want to save the northern bottle-nosed wombat mouse against the encroachments of the Woolworths carpark.’
In point of fact – it scarcely needs to be recollected – the Catholic Church has NO doctrines stipulating the size of government, deficit financing, affirming statist welfarism as a virtue, quantifying any ideal number for taxation or any model of wage determination. It (obviously) opposes vehemently socialised health care, education and human services.
No, it’s sex and sex alone that leftists and phony liberal ‘Catholics’ are concerned about in relation to the Church’s life. When they talk about ‘change’ they mean doctrinal re-workings of the Church’s dogmatic teachings on these subjects. The Catholic Church is the only institution left in the Western world that hasn’t been thuggishly bullied into adopting or paying sycophantic lip service to their diabolical orthodoxies on these subjects.
They will never succeed.
Perhaps knowing they will never succeed, secular critics content themselves – and very happily so – with being perpetually outraged, constantly hopeful of ‘change’ and definitionally sanctified by what they oppose (which, because this is the Catholic Church, they will always have perforce to oppose). The Catholic Church gives them what they desire most: an endless adolescence.
If they are in-house cowardly servants of the world and its fashions – think Fr Bob or Bishop Morris – they will proudly persist with a comparable invincibility of outrage. Veritable Levebrists of leftism, they enjoy both the illusion of purity and the delusion that everything their ilk foisted upon the Church for the past 50 years hasn’t been an unmitigated disaster.
This, then, is the nature of the contemporary ‘crisis’ in the Church. To wit, the Church won’t cease to be Christian. It’s a very old ‘crisis.’

It is beyond me why any Liberals and Nationals even go on the stupid show. The audience, the host and the other majority of the panel every week are invariably hostile towards them.
