It seems that the President of the United States is fed up with an arrogant, egotistical know-it-all as Prime Minister of Australia.
How else can one explain the fact that the President decided to withdraw from unilateral military action against the Syrian regime and instead consult Congress on 9 September 2013?
Fortunately for the President he can explain his decision as being in keeping with a statement he made in 2007
The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorise a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
That is a credible and defensible reason to defer military action against Syria until after the Australian election. But we know the real reason.
Ceterum autem censeo Kevinum Scardinium delendum esse.
