Bolt on Suzuki at Instapundit!

In its own way, the ABC may have done its own cause more harm than good (and why does the ABC have causes of its own anyway?). I have now seen David Suzuki’s session on Q&A posted at a few international websites but now Andrew Bolt’s post David Suzuki proves he’s pig ignorant about global warming is linked to at Instapundit. This is all that’s written . . .

REVEALED: Climate Change Activist David Suzuki Doesn’t Actually Know Anything About Global Warming Data.

. . . but the story is there underneath for all to read and many many will.

Still, for the know nothings of the environmental movement knowing nothing is not much of a disadvantage amongst its leaders. It may even be a positive advantage.

CAGW and the attendant fact and evidence free, anti-scientific hysteria seemingly has more heads than the Hydra.

Will we ever witness the death of this scam?

And another international ‘expert’ has been felled by the Australian community of bloggers, scientists and interested citizens.

Every jerk the ABC and Green Labor bring out at great expense to inform the ignorant populace flees back to their home country in ignominy, their reputation and credibility in tatters.

First Tom Watson, now David Suzuki.

Cant wait for the next hapless celebrity expert they bring out, we are sharpening the axes already in anticipation.

This is precisely why the Right doesn’t want the Left to shut up. We want them to keep talking and expose themselves for the numpties they are. Recall that Suzuki and his ilk have often called for “denialists” to be imprisoned and democracy “suspended” in order to force people to buy into their beliefs. Most of us defer to reason, logic and evidence. “belief” is not science.

Ezra Levant uses excerpts from “Q&A” to prove what a fraud Suzuki is to Canadian viewers. Tony Jones, no doubt, will be pleased that his show has been useful for once.

It really is worth a watch. The ignorance is staggering to everyone there.

It would seem that Australia really is a hotbed of climate skepticism with a very well informed population. No doubt as a direct result of trying to ram the worlds largest carbon tax down our throats. People tend to get educated when they are being asked to open their wallet up for thousands of their cash in the name of saving the planet.

Suzuki is okay. He’s a level 10 mega!

He is also in the pay of Big Salmon. Who’d thunk such a cabal actually existed!?

  6. Cold-Hands

    He’s a level 10 mega!

    He’s a scientologist?

  7. Leo G

To his credit, Dr Suzuki was up front about his ignorance of the science supporting climate change, and told Tojo and the audience on air that he was qualified to speak neither about the causes of climate change, nor about its physical manifestations.
So clearly, when in the past he was recommending judicial punishment of those who didn’t conform to the IPCC ticket, he was acting under the authority of others.
Even so, how ethical has been his condemnation of non-warmists?
Perhaps he intends to apologise before he passes into the greenhouse. Just don’t stop your personal greenhouse emissions in the meantime.

Will we ever witness the death of this scam?

I think the answer is, no we wont. I know some highly intelligent people with PhD’s in engineering and material sciences who will argue till their black and blue that CAGW is real and catastrophic.

Credit where it is due, Q&A was a least partially successful:
. Effect on public opinion – Nil.
. Damage to ABC remaining credibility – inestimable.

  10. cuckoo

Oh to have been a fly on the wall of the control room during that instalment of Q&A. Not too many zingers or gotchas for next week’s promo, or rather, too many of the wrong kind.

Extraordinary stuff – in a forum where an “expert” cannot duck answering questions any one of the barristers I’ve had briefed over the years would dismember Saint Sukiyama Barnum-‘n-Bailey in minutes. No – not minutes – I’d send them a note to do him slowly.

What’s an ostensibly mature audience doing applauding “generational negligence (?)” as a proposition?

I can assure you there are way too many baby boomer faux activists who have no appetite for objective debate or for bearing responsibility when it smacks them in the face. Their blame and the burden they demand is invariably “for thee, not for me.”

“To his credit, Dr Suzuki was up front about his ignorance of the science supporting climate change, and told Tojo and the audience on air that he was qualified to speak neither about the causes of climate change, nor about its physical manifestations.”

… which raises the obvious question “Why was he there holding himself out as an expert on matters in which he has no expertise?”

“To his credit” and Saint Professor Doctor Sukiyami PhD Tug Tug are mutually exclusive terms.

  16. Myrrdin Seren

Somebody on the Q&A production team is probably being given the thrashing of their lives in a struggle session about how hardball questions were allowed through to Pukey Suzuki.

Maybe they thought he was an expert too ? Suckers !!

  17. JC

You can’t blame the suzmeister that the show turned into an abortion. He is what he his and there’s plenty of evidence that clearly demonstrates he’s a first rate clown. Blame their ABC for putting the idiot on there.

I can’t believe the reaction of the audience though. The were eating out of his hand. Irrationality is a serious problem on the left. You can be a the biggest buffoon in the world and still be admired as long you belong to a cult.

Are we seeing the beginning of SnowCone melting?

Yep. Ice-caps doing fine, but glowball warming is finally hitting SnowCone hard.

  19. kae

Suzuki didn’t get the brief from Porky ManBearPig about not being ambushed by sceptics.

It appeared to me that Suzuki withdrew into his zoological shell to avoid being the focus of a controversy. But Tone Control and the audience were only interested in the controversial.

Will we ever witness the death of this scam?

Yes and the sooner the switch is flicked to ridicule the quicker it will end.

Any rational person with access to these AGW believing idiots in the media e.g. Bolt, Minchin and Kenny need to scoff at the prize twits every time they speak crap on this subject.

  26. … which raises the obvious question “Why was he there holding himself out as an expert on matters in which he has no expertise?”

Because like all the other Warmenista High Priests, he has always sought friendly venues in which the converted might be preached to and the dissidents conveniently squashed, and on the basis of past observation he saw no reason why Q&A should have been any different. But the skeptics got past the defences for once, he didn’t “own” the debate-space and couldn’t completely suppress them, and it consequently turned very bad for him.

  27. The good news is that Suzuki’s fee for appearing on the ABC was only about $40,000 of your tax dollars.

  28. Then the question you have to ask yourself is this, Yobbo: was it worth $40,000 to make him look like a fucking idiot?

  29. Oh come on

Suzuki’s epic cognitive dissonance can be seen in his contrasting approaches to CAGW (“the matter is of such pressing importance that we should be jailing people who don’t follow our agenda, and the overwhelming scientific body supports us – millions of people are going to die!”) versus GMO crops (“perhaps the overwhelming scientific body of research has proven the validity of GMO crops and saved the lives of millions of the world’s poorest, but what’s the rush?”)

Using his own logic, Suzuki should be jailed.

  30. Oh come on

Perturbed: you know, if it cost the Australian taxpayer $40,000 to thoroughly discredit a grub like Suzuki, then it was worth it.

You’re welcome, rest of the world.

  31. Catfeesh?

    David Suzuki:

“I’m not a climate scientist and I didn’t know that the data sets don’t support my position, but any politician who denies AGW should be thrown in jail”.
