Haters will hate

There is now a Facebook page dedicated to hating Tim Wilson.

A day to denounce, fling hate at, and generally express our contempt for Tim Wilson, the new freedom commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Organised by Tim Scriven.

    Colour me surprised, not!

  2. Tracey

I’ve never been near a Facebook screen in my life but I’m tempted to join just to give this putrid bastard a serve.

    Rafi Alam on twiiter:

I don’t hate Tim Wilson because he’s a libertarian, I hate him because he’s not a libertarian, because HE LITERALLY WANTS TO TAKE DOWN OCCUPY SYDNEY WITH WATER CANNONS.

Is there still an Occupy Sydney turd unflushed on the streets? Bring out the extra big water cannons.

  4. Steve of Glasshouse

He’s copping a gob full in the comments page. The campaign might get him a cheap shag with an infatuated follower, but that’s about it..

  5. .

    “Inspirational People”

    Rosa Luxemburg…err, no.

Don’t worry folks, “thinking” is a favourite pastime of Tim Scriven.

  6. JC

Leftwingers preaching hate because someone supports free speech. Color me shocked.

    Fisk Doctrine. Now!

  7. Ken N

Dopey people say dopey things. Not really “hold the front page” stuff.

Wonder how Tanya Plibersek would react had such a statement been aimed at her or one of her fellow man-haters?

Still want to know how you ‘fling hate‘? Must be a leftward thing.

Got to be a pisstake, re “muh”, poor spelling and general illucidity.

  11. james

Man that is one big head tilt on that boy.

Naturally he’s a communist and studied philosophy.

Remember this next time these parasites start talking about “tolerance”.

  12. iamok

Jeezuz Keerist these walking dead really are useless.

This is the REAL fear I have for my children and their children and their children’s … you get it … not the other crap that gets coughed up daily by the commentariat and twitterati like yet another hawk of sticky, rancid phlegm.

We just have to soldier on folks knowing that this will be a long long battle we have to win, but know also that we may not win.

  13. James B

The fat, unwashed, smelly communist who started that group has a few good points.

Actual change is best accomplished by radicalism. Incrementalism has utterly failed for the right, you should all know this. Tim needs to call for the complete dismantling of the state itself in order to advance debate.

    Taxation is theft.

  14. .

I love how these people are so committed to “human rights” “other than” “”free speech”".

Basically you know they are closet totalitarians from that.

Fortunately, they form a tiny minority.

Unfirtunately, they are very vocal and the long march was decades ago.

  15. Gab

    Ben Pobjie ‏@benpobjie 16 Dec

@timwilsoncomau I read once that there are other human rights apart from free speech. Have you been briefed on this possibility?

There are a few comments of this nature on Wilson’s T feed. None of them appear to understand that without free speech all other “rights” are in danger.

  16. Andrew

I see the misogynists have launched a page to heap misigynistic abuse on Sophie as well.

    James Wilson

So instead of attacking a policy or ideology, you set up an event that goes out of it’s way to bully someone online and slander them.

    This event is a joke.

    Tim Dark

You know Tim Wilson is the best choice for comissioner when the communists get upset

    James Warne

Nothing like the vile, derogatory hate speech that comes out of the left when something they don’t like is announced by the government.

Maybe you’d be able to stay on your high horse if you didn’t stoop to this level, but you do EVERY TIME.

The Left is about being a child when they don’t get their way. It is immoral in both action and to the future generations. It is about being irresponsible by ignoring consequences.

When you get down to it, its fundamentally about envy of others who do better than them.

Slander is all they have left when they have nothing else worthy to offer the world.

Hmmm…Human rights and free speech….but only if you agree with these leftard, fcuktard, hatefilled, scum. Nice…….very nice.

  19. And Another Thing

Geez, but I love the smell of burning leftard busybodies in the morning.

  20. jumpnmcar

Facebook is a shit filled swamp.
    But very popular it seems.

  21. candy

I guess Tim Wilson will have to be dignified about the hate attacks, after all he has an important public job and shouldn’t get rattled by this stupid nonsense.

  22. james

Socialism is the ideology of the loser. These folks don’t have any skills that anyone actually wants, so they invent jobs for themselves, invent justifications for their jobs, and then confiscate money from the rest of us to pay themselves.

They are the boil on the backside of civilization, and yet they stoop to lecture the rest of us with self righteous contempt in their eyes.

    They need to go.

    Michael Sutcliffe
Tim Wilson will waste the excellent work the HRC has done to socially engineer equity into our society, especially with regard to white male advantage, and waste the efforts of the organisation on traditional so called ‘human rights’ like free speech. What a Liberal Party shill. We have to get beyond the notion of human rights being the same for everybody and acknowledge an equal society requires some people to have less or different rights than others.

    .
    These people vote.

  24. socrates

Well Tim wants this type of hate….good p.r

He said he is aggressive and was passionate and out there on FREEDOM

Both extreme ends of the political paradigm are getty silly and stupid.

    Grow up people….!

  25. .

Pretty sure Sutcliffe is taking the piss…or he has changed…a lot!

…Art Chernkoff was a joke blogger IIRC.

  26. james

    Andrew those people are trolling.

Or at least I hope to god they are.

Will have to try harder, most Lefties find it difficult to “get” satire.

  27. Arty Chrenkoff was a warblogger, supported Iraq war. I think he was and still is a member of the Liberal party. The post is ironically intended.

Not surprised by Dot’s revelations about Sutcliffe either. The thread has pretty much been crashed by libertarians :)

  28. I don’t know about ‘flinging hate’. But I wouldn’t mind someone ‘flinging hats’ at me. Trilbys, ahoy!

  29. Andrew of Randwick

Thanks for clarification – off to do something useful.
Spending time on this rubbish rewards the enemy.

  30. Sinclair Davidson

Andrew of Randwick – those two are trolling the thread.

  31. Fleeced

There’s also a Tim Wilson Appreciation Day made in response, which I believe already has more followers.

  32. Tom

I’m tipping Timothy James Scriven has never had a job in the private economy and believes it’s his human right that he has his existence paid for by others.

  33. Rabz

This is why I shut down my spacechook account many years ago. It’s a braindeadening, hate filled leftist infested sewer.

Still want to know how you ‘fling hate‘?

Presumably the same way the deranged howler monkeys fling faeces – about the only skill they possess, it seems.

  34. samuel j

Is there I like Tim Wilson facebook page?

  35. nic

Funny how no one looks at his ACTUAL qualifications for the job, which show beyond doubt that he is qualified to be there.

  36. C.L.

So these classic leftist nazis are now doing what Nicola Roxon wanted to make illegal last year?

  37. Tom

Is there I like Tim Wilson facebook page?

    Fleeced at 8.24pm.

  38. james

Scriven calls himself an “anarchist communist” and is employed by the state.

    Work that one out.

  39. Rob MW

Sinc – One has to just love free speech when one can see these two-handed tuggers come out and put their name to their very own idiosyncratic words.

  40. Jim Rose

why do some people forget the manners their mother taught them?

  41. Rabz

    is employed by the state*

Interestingly, I seem to remember certain “public servants” getting into some difficulties due to their particular online proclivities (this is a similar example).

The stupid bearded totalitarian hypocrite fuckwit might yet regret this.

    * Isn’t every anarchist? Seriously, how else can they smash da State, except from within, man?

  42. James of the Glen

“Scriven calls himself an “anarchist communist” and is employed by the state.

    Work that one out”.

He fantasises about himself. Likely goes home and dresses up with a Che beret or a bandana.

Also seems he has a keen interest in female hygiene products. Needs some good professional help to drag him through arrested adolescence.

  43. Infidel Tiger

In years to come people will marvel that it was once illegal to execute leftists.

  44. Eddystone

  45. DrBeauGan

Tim Wilson should be pleased about the existence of this fb page. There once was a time when the soi-disant progressives had some kind of ontellectual cachet. This makes it clear to everyone that they have ‘Loser’ stamped on their genes. Even more so than M0nty and nearly as much as SfB.

  46. dan

Now I’m convinced speech control isn’t something out of 1984, thanks to the fact we have a two-minute hate.

  47. cohenite

What an arsehole; Scriven that is. His face would be interchangeable with the wanker on the previous thread.

  48. crocodile

Funny how no one looks at his ACTUAL qualifications for the job, which show beyond doubt that he is qualified to be there.

It is politically correct these days that all departments have at least one token poof.

  49. Aaron

Scriven calls himself an “anarchist communist” and is employed by the state.

Scriven is a malodorous presence at Sydney University. Not surprised he’s leading the lynch mob albeit from the safety of his office.

  50. Mr Rusty

“Tim Wilson must be crushed, not because this, of itself, will achieve anything, but because he is this world’s contemptuous monument to its own alienation. In bring him low, we affirm ourselves. He is, so to speak, not the end of history, but the culmination of a phase of history. He embodies the spirit of a dying age- a false triumphalism papering over a real despair so deep that it is not even felt but continuously enacted. His conception free speech is, though he’ll never know it, the death rattle of this system of being. All his prattle is a masquerade convened against other possibilities. But his despair unlike any other yet experienced, because it is not a miasma Mr Wilson cannot shake off, but rather his constant affirmation, his constant production. No doubt he feels his despair (which he will never name as such) not as pain but pleasure. His is a joyous despair, terrifying if it weren’t pitiable. “There is no way out of this fog” he shouts “AND I LOVE IT”. Even to speak of other possibilities is blasphemy against an empire extended (as far as he is concerned) infinitely in space, and infinitely forward in time, an empire whose god emperor is a trans-human market.
    Fuck You buddy.”

From the page of Timothy James Scrotum, the bearded Commie head tilting twat.

Anyone else got even the slightest clue WTF he is talking about?

I can only conclude the bellend is both insanely jealous (as all leftards are of success) and very much in love with Tim W, his signoff being more wishful thinking than an insult.

  51. Under the circumstances, I think it appropriate to suggest to the people “flinging hate” against this man that they could very easily be guilty of homophobia.

  52. Brian of Moorabbin

I note on Scriven’s Facebook page he describes his political views as “Libertarian Communist”…

Now correct me if I’m wrong, as I’d say I’m more of a conservative than libertarian, but wouldn’t the two (Libertarian and Communist) be mutually exclusive?

  53. Percy

As a libertarian (ah, minus the communist) I’m all for legalising drugs. However, this twat is a perfect example of why people should choose not to use them.

    F-R-I-E-D!!!

  54. johno

Under the circumstances, I think it appropriate to suggest to the people “flinging hate” against this man that they could very easily be guilty of homophobia

    .

It’s only homophobia when someone who is not of the Left is doing it.

If a Lefty is doing it, it can’t homophobic, because . . . well because they are Lefties . . . and Lefties don’t do that . . . or something like that.

  55. james

Brian anarcho-communists consider all inequality to be the result of social constructs. In other words if we could “educate” people out of supposedly unnatural behaviors like capitalism we would all voluntarily take up egalitarian communal living with no need for an authoritarian state to punish wrongdoing.

They have more in common with 19th century religious utopians than with the supposedly “scientific” socialists of the early 20th century.

  56. Sad Man

Gillard’s frightening legacy of unparralled division, hatred and debt fills me with sadness for the future generations of this once great nation.

  57. CatAttack

No one hates like left and they are masters of deception. If you draw attention to a minor detail being wrong like the fact that the Facebook picture of the dredging platform they claim to be Campbell Newman digging up the Great Barrier Reef is in fact a picture of a dredge off Dubai 12 years earlier it’s “so what I know he’s doing it and it’s true anyway!” This is the sort of stuff that floods Facebook all day long and some of it is going to stick. You just don’t have the time to uncover all the mis truths spread. The ALP and Greens must have teams of people in a basement somewhere producing this stuff.

  58. Louis Hissink

The real problem is the use of the phrase “human-rights”. The left created it, and by using it libertarians etc unwittingly give it credence.

    It’s “Individual Rights”.

Never ever use their phraseology in debate.

  59. Louis Hissink

    Mr Rusty

Might our Facebook pundit have used one of those Post Modern phrase compilers?

  60. Stevec

Haters will hate. Like Larry Pickering for example?

  61. David Black

So embarrassing for graduates of the University of Sydney to see that people like Tim Scrivens are embedded there these days. He negates everything I picked up there, especially respect for academics.

  62. cohenite

    Like Larry Pickering for example?

    So, provide an example.

  63. Struth

Remember in the end Numbers, Monty and SFB are of the same mindset.
Can they seriously be argued with?
    They are brainwashed.
We need to fight the people who brain washed them.
We need desperately to fight and expose those insulated communist cretins within our education system that produce this.
    They produce the journalists.
They actively do this. They are paid for by us and we have just given them Gonski.
You can have any political view you like until you don’t believe in freedom.
    Then you are my enemy.

  64. Rabz

Another entry for the “No shit, Sherlock” files:

The commission is an integral part of our society, and not the whole of society reflects the Left

I’m stunned, stunned, I tells ya!

  65. CatAttack

Is there a I Hate Natasha Stott Facebook being set up. Ah no! Says it all. I think this FB page proves Tim Wilson’s very point and more besides about free speech.

Now correct me if I’m wrong, as I’d say I’m more of a conservative than libertarian, but wouldn’t the two (Libertarian and Communist) be mutually exclusive?

They actually believe slavery is freedom. They have also ahistorically kidded themselves that the Spainish left were the world’s first communists.

    They are slack jawed crackpots.

  67. james

The real problem is the use of the phrase “human-rights”. The left created it, and by using it libertarians etc unwittingly give it credence.

    It’s “Individual Rights”.

    Damn right Louis H.

“Humans” have no inherent rights by virtue of being human. Being an individual in a free society gives you individual rights.

  68. Aldrydd

Reading the comments on that Facebook page has given me the best laugh that I’ve had in ages, especially those asking if the organisers have arranged for carbon credits to offset the emissions caused by any effigy burning :)

  69. Robert Blair

    Louis:

Never ever use their phraseology in debate.

    Too true Mr Hissink.

Two terms that we should never use:

“Right-wing” – The left invented this one, and it means “Nazi”. The only question is how much of a Nazi you are – Sergeant, Shultz (nice but stupid), Colonel Klink (still stupid, but not so nice), Goebbels (evil) or Hitler (cthulu).

Instead of saying “right-wing” say “Conservative” or “Libertarian” or whatever is appropriate. Just not “right” or “right-wing”.

“Capitalism” – The left have turned this to mean “Evil planet-raping blood-suckers”.

Do not use this term on its own – if you mean “Free Market Capitalism”, say it. If you mean “Crony Capitalism” say that, ditto “State Capitalism”. Look how confused the Pope is – just because the Left control the terms.

  70. Robert Blair

Why are my comments going to moderation?

  71. Robert Blair

    Test of possible auto-moderation:

    “Right-wing”
    Nazi
    Goebbels
    Hitler
    “right-wing”
    “Evil planet-raping blood-suckers”
    “Free Market Capitalism”

[hmmmm, so which one got you into auto-moderation? Sinc]

    Mr Rusty
Might our Facebook pundit have used one of those Post Modern phrase compilers?

Not sure what those are but they sound like a tool for tools to make them sound intelligent. Scrotum seems to use it a lot if you look at his Arsebook page. This is what happens when you let any old nimrod go to Uni, they get Impostor Syndrome and try to disguise their inadequacies with long elaborate nonsensical sentences that no one can understand. Then they smuggly convince themselves they are some kind of intellectual elite because the plebs are not smart enough to decode their BS.

  73. Robert Blair

Well I didn’t know that: Sinc has keyword auto-moderation!
    Awesome.

Forgive me spoiling the thread with test comments. I would like to know what the keywords are, but I don’t want to clog the place up with more tests.

Maybe I overloaded on Nazi references, or it might have been the planet rape …

  74. Mr Rusty

Reading the comments on that Facebook page has given me the best laugh that I’ve had in ages

Indeed. He’s getting his innards handed to him on a platter. Very encouraging effort, even Rafe jumped in.

  75. Robert Blair

    OK, Sinc, one more test:

    “evil planet-raping blood-suckers”

  76. Aldrydd

Hey Mr Rusty, I saw Rafe’s post & gave it a like just so he’d know people read it ;)

  77. Robert Blair

Hmmm – I think I will go away and plant a covert operation to unearth the auto-moderation keywords via seeding innocuous comments …

At this point Sinc could completely blind-side me by publishing them of course.

  78. I’m tipping Timothy James Scriven has never had a job in the private economy and believes it’s his human right that he has his existence paid for by others.

I’m tipping it’s Steve From Brisbane’s true identity, revealed at last. Especially with the interest in feminine hygiene products.

  79. miney

After dealing with the left over the last 4 years on Facebook and recently on twitter hate seems to be a speciality of the left .
They hate the thought of free speech and will do anything to vilify or close you down .

  80. Elizabeth (Lizzie) B.

Some very good points here about taking control of the terminology. Do not let your enemy define you or the terms of the battle nor the choice of the time and place for it. In this way we will win the war. I hope Tim is set to do a lot of free speaking. Looking forward to hearing it.

  81. Struth

If you adjust your langauge to combat leftism you have lost.
I am right wing. I must be if I’m against the left.
Right wing is not what the left describe it as.
The left describe the worst of their traits as right wing.
    Case in point.
Totalitarian regime that calls itself a socialist party…..Nazis …….are exactly that.
Hitler was left wing not right.
Since WW2 the left have tried to distance themselves from this and tried to make the evil white racist right wing. He was left wing.
They are hung up about it to this day, hence the weekly grind on SBS about hitler.
I won’t let lefties be in charge of the conversation or the way I speak. I will beat them every time with truth and logic.
Better to keep pointing out Hitler was a socialist than let them make you deny you are right wing.

  82. Robert Blair

    Struth:

I was of your mind, but no longer.

Because the audience that really matters is not the dyed-in-the-wool leftists you are debating.

It is the voters watching the debate.

  83. jupes

Hitler was left wing not right.

    Yeah nah.

Hitler and the Nazis were not left wing or socialist in the way that the commies are. Hitler had no beef with private enterprise or capitalism and he destroyed German unions. Hitler nailed his colours to the mask of nationalism.

  84. jupes

    mask mast

    Where’s my editor?

  85. 'S

It’s more institutional – media, commissions, schools and unis. You can’t change things when PC lefties have a captive audience. Their views become the default.

  86. Especially with the interest in feminine hygiene products.

No, that’s not me, although there was recent interesting article on the BBC about a whole new range of female condoms available. Is the Catholic brains trust busy on working up ways they would be a catastrophe for the women using them, Philippa?

  87. Struth

It will make it harder for you to speak the truth.
I believe hitler was a socialist. He called himself a socialist.
The only difference between a socialist and a communist is private ownership.
They still govern from the top down.
    Ther is still no democracy.
    They are still totalitarian.
    He was left wing.
Just because he was against communism doesn’t mean he was not a socialist.

  88. Mr Rusty

Hitler had no beef with private enterprise or capitalism and he destroyed German unions.

    Nah, nah.

Massive, long running myth, Hitler actually Nationalised the Unions.
Check this pre-war article on Nazi-German Labor Unions out.

Read that first sentence carefully as well! If you really want a challenge go and try to find any pre-war article, magazine, statement, document that describes the Nazis as right-wing or Conservative.

Also, he DID have a beef with aristocracy and big business (he hated department stores for some odd reason!). His use of big business and limited free enterprise was a pragmatic toleration required for re-arming and the war effort. Much like Lenin allowed limited capitalism in Russia after the Civil War (the NEP), I’m pretty sure had Hitler hung around a command economy would be the norm with limited small-scale businesses allowed to trade.
It wasn’t a question of nailing colours to Nationalism as opposed to Communism, they are not diametrically opposed, that is the trick the left have played on for the past 70 years. Hitler just rejected World Revolution and proposed a Nationalistic version of Socialism, hence their name.

  89. Do you deliberately model yourself on the passive aggressive Lady Marchmain, Philippa?

  90. jupes

Massive, long running myth, Hitler actually Nationalised the Unions.

And in doing so he deliberately destroyed them.

I don’t have my copy of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich Reich on hand at the moment, however Shirer was explicit on that point. No doubt this argument will come up again and I will be able to quote him so stay tuned.

  91. Struth

I vill have no more argument! I Have called mein zelf ze socialist und zat iiisssss vat I am!!!

  92. Do you deliberately model yourself on the passive aggressive Lady Marchmain, Philippa?

    LOL

    Happy Christmas, pet.

  93. jupes

Hitler’s priorities were national expansion, overturning the Treaty of Versaille and anti-Semitism, not necessarily in that order. Anti-Communism was another party principle.

  94. Struth

Voting was not high on his priority!
Freedom of choice was not high on his priority.
The high level of social engineering was definitely a socialist mindset.
The control of industry, while not actually owning it, was high on his priority.
    Where is that right wing?
Again, he called himself a socialist.
All of those points raised above , except for private ownership is communism.
No one would disagree that communism is left wing.
I’m sure even left wingers call socialism left wing.
Hitler was a left wing socialist.
    He was also a nationalist.
Our socialists in Australia are anti nationalists, therefore they are different.
I wish ours were a little more nationalistic, and alot less socialist.

  95. Helen

Well, as for parallel parking I am a whizz also backing trailers attached to cars or trucks, but i did have a fellow here, 21 yo, wanted to go into the army in UK who could not figure out how to put the top together with funnel and disc, back onto a plastic jerry can.

He had several demonstrations, several lessons, and I promised him a certificate of competency in jerry can closing (which would have gone down a treat as a reference for the UK Army) but alas, he just never got there.

It was a great source of entertainment to any one watching at the time, not loudly like those Irish lads, but very similar in a silent sense, ‘comon, comon, you’ve nearly got it – aaaargh’ all in the head.

  96. Robert Blair

    Struth:

Right and left wing were first used to describe the two sides of the General Assembly set up in France after the revolution.

Initially it sorted the “cautious” from the “radical” among the revolutionary regicidal French.

It was applied to the Nazi’s in the 1930′s by the Soviet Politburo, as a deliberate propaganda tactic. Initially it meant the “right wing of Socialism” (bad, because it left the bosses in place and just milked them).

Someone had the bright idea of including non-Socialist politics under the right-wing banner, and viola! suddenly all your political enemies are evil Nazis!

That’s what we are going along with whenever we accept the label “right-wing”. It is one of the more successful propaganda stunts in history.

  97. Struth

Someone had the bright idea of including non-Socialist politics under the right-wing banner, and viola! suddenly all your political enemies are evil Nazis!

All my political enemies are evil nazis!!!
Even with this analysis you still say” Initially it meant the “right wing of Socialism””.
So Nazi’s were socialists according to everyone. Communists thought they were to the right of their socialist set up , because the Nazi’s didn’t officially own the business’, but still thought of them as socialists.
The Nazis thought of themselves as socialists.
    They practiced socialism.
They had a fascist leader who was a socialist.
I must be an extreme right winger, as are most Australians.
    Economically.
I want to give business even more control of it’s own destiny and less government control.
If socialism had not occurred, and called itself left wing, I would not call myself right wing. Just a lover of freedom. If socialists want to call any opposition to them right wing,, fine.
If they want to call opposition to them Nazis, when Nazi’s were left wing, that might be convenient for their guilty feelings but calling black white is an old trick . They just lie.
Hitler was a left wing nut job.
    He was left wing.
I’ll gladly be called an anti socialist right winger.

The trouble with a great deal of the Labor Greens Left now is that they have moved so far away from the centre that someone like Andrew Bolt can be portrayed as an extreme right wing nut job yet he probably represents the views of a great many Australians and is an absolute pussycat compared with the real right wing extremists.

    That’s just politics.
Just cause they say it don’t make it so.
The defeatism of the right to allow the left to “portray” anything without fighting it is astounding.

    John Paul Jones From Wikipedia
During his engagement with HMS Serapis, Jones uttered, according to the later recollection of his first lieutenant, the legendary reply to a taunt about surrender from the British captain: “I have not yet begun to fight!”
