    (Sigh) you are trolling aren’t you, Sinc? But I will bite anyway.

    Being together with family and friends is not unique to Christmas, in the same way that it is not unique to say Anzac Day or the Queen’s Birthday holiday, although it is central to events like weddings, funerals and birthdays.

    But it is not the primary reason for this season, which is to commemorate Jesus’ First Coming, as I previously quoted from Lukes’ Gospel in relation to the angel’s announcement to the shepherds.

    And like the Queen’s Birthday holiday, the date of December 25th is unlikely to be correct, but is insignificant compared to the actual event itself.
