Left-wing homophobia

The appointment of Tim Wilson to the Australian Human Rights Commission has exposed some of the uglier aspect of the political left. We’ve seen Mungo MacCallum express some very ugly sentiments – under the guise of warning of the apparent dangers of free speech. Then there is this tweet.

Left- homophobia

The particular crowd in the tweet run a right-wing parody trolling outfit – pretending to be right-wingers in order to put out extreme statements in order to discredit conservatives. Although, they’re not very good at it – I managed to out-troll them the other night and got them to break character. In response one of them posted a picture of me on the internet advising people to call the police if anyone saw as me as I was a well know kiddy-fiddler. All in the name of free speech they claimed.

The point is this – the attacks on Tim Wilson are not simply angry protesters or heat of the moment frustration. They have been sustained over a period of time, and have come through highly regarded lefty celebrities and been published in the mainstream media. Then there has been the filth on twitter – I have been retweeting as many of the more outrageous attacks on Tim as possible. The more that we expose the left on this, and other matters, the better.

Ask yourself this: how will the Fairfax or ABC portray today?

Entropy, Sinclair could have saved the idiot from drowning and the ABC/Fairfaxistas would say “Interfering rightwinger deprives sharks of Christmas dinner”.

  2. Gab

Yes, Ent, what you are saying is we should all adopt the Tony Abbott ‘turn the other cheek’ approach and make nice with those that despise the Right. And how’s that working out for Abbott? The Left are beginning to love him, I can tell.

  3. entropy

No, that would allow them to just run over us. Take the prick to court would be the right strategy. Getting him sacked is not.

  4. Gab

“Getting” him sacked? Please. He was the one that put out the disgusting tweets. How do you know he’s going to get sacked?

  5. entropy

    Isn’t that the plan?

  6. Gab

Is it? I’m not privy to this Grand Plan.

  7. Gab

You don’t think that if Sinclair were to take him to court the dope would lose his job anyway?

  8. entropy

maybe, but that would a better way to do it than firing emails of to his employers like a few people around here regrettably did today.

  9. entropy

After all, it is the process of court action, not necessarily the outcome, that serves the lesson.

  10. Gab

Harden up, princess :) I’m sure the petal won’t lose his job.

  11. srr

Ent. your name in the real world wouldn’t start with D would it?

  12. entropy

I hope not. And I am sure he will have a nervous night.

Now, being a princess, it’s off to find the pea under my mattress.

  13. entropy

Well I am the same age as the git, but no, it doesn’t start with D.

  14. Gab

It’s instructive you don’t see what Duncan did as bullying behaviour.

  15. entropy

Yes I do. Th is Duncan dude lost the rational argument and then tried to intimidate Sinc and set the hounds on him. Arsehole behaviour.

  16. entropy

All we are arguing about is the methodology of retaliation and implementation of justice.

  17. Zatara

rot, all that has happened is that the scumbag is now the victim loser.

  19. Oh come on

Um sorry to interrupt…but Sinclair previously said

I’m just a bit worried that you’re lynching the wrong person. There are (possibly) two individuals. (1) Duncan who weighed into an argument and who also verballed Tim Wilson (above) and (2) OzProtectionistParty who posted the picture of me with the claims.

I’m wondering how the link was made between Duncan and ‘OzProtectionistParty’? Not saying you’re wrong. Just want to know.

  20. Fisky

There is no link between Duncan Ford and OzProtectionistParty. Ford made an anti-gay slur against Wilson (and Alan Jones), for which he must be made to leave his job assuming the travel group are serious about respecting their gay and lesbian customers. OzProtectionist said something far worse about Sinc. The two issues are separate.

    I’m confused.

Still not sure I fully comprehend though.

@bradboyqld It is – oz protectionist party is a parody account which does some brilliant work.

No, they’re not very good at it at all.

Heh. I hope that revolting holder of a Carbon Diploma loses his job.

But, to those frothing about how Abbott is a loser because he hasn’t destroyed the HRC overnight, get a grip. He is not a dictator. The HRC is established under an Act of Parliament. Its funding until June 30 is also determined by an Act of Parliament (via the Budget).

Changing anything will have to go through Parliament, including a currently unfriendly Senate.

  29. DrBeauGan

There is zero risk I will become the least bit like them Entropy because I despise the slime. But I shall do what I can to destroy them. I agree it is a matter of tactics. But I was brought up to civil discourse and have discovered that my good manners are being used against me so will suspend them for the duration of hostilities. So far as the enemy are concerned.

  30. DtjW

An ABN search of OzProtectionist Party yielded ABN 67 072 250 803.
I wonder which business (or otherwise) entities utilise the mighty mouth and bloc party?

  31. Oh come on

Just saw the OzProtectististParty’s Twitter feed. Terrible, awful failure. They’re about as funny as terminal cancer. And as subtle, too. Their ‘cover’, as Sinc magnanimously described it, is about a millimetre thick.

Writing ‘they’re’ instead of ‘their’ and ‘rite’ instead of ‘right’ – clever stuff indeed! Especially when you use the word ‘negate’ in the very same tweet. That doesn’t look incongruous at all.

All I see from their pathetic trolling attempt is anger. The seething, bitter anger of people who haven’t come to terms with their post-Gillard, post-Rudd status. That anger means they’d lost before they’d even started.

This just makes me angrier about Abbott and Brandis not abolishing the HRC.

    Time for the chant:

    Shut. It. Down.

    Fire. Them. All.

    That’s me too!

I still say it’s a major error to give credence to the silly, pop-psych notion that homophobia even exists. The some people might be misophilomophylist, for all sorts of reasons, I’m prepared to accept, but I find it hard to accept that people suffer either from an irrational dread of the same thing—as the word suggests—or an irrational dread of homosexual people

It’s a tactic to undermine anyone who isn’t in lock step. I don’t see why you can’t have and respect homosexual friends, and accept the right of other adults to engage in whatever non-harmful acts they desire AND at the same time state that you find it perverse and abnormal. Just as you should be able to say, without fear of recrimination, that you find religious beliefs or political tribalism risible.

The bullying by the left, various religions (especially Islam) and gay advocates is all an assault on free speech.

Abu, I really don’t get why people do not get this. Is it because they are too dumb to have 2 ideas in their brains at once? Is it because they don’t understand the culture wars?

Dumb is forever but if the damage of the left is set straight maybe people’s views can change.

Or is it that everyone is scared shitless to even think ANYTHING about banned thoughts? Like a reflex.
