“I would respectfully put that the ALP should stop parachuting union and party hacks into the Senate.”

  2. Zulu Kilo Two Alpha

Can I suggest the awarding of a special trophy? The “Sarah Hanson Young ” trophy to the Senator who makes the biggest cake of themselves while trying to demonstrate their towering superiority over we lesser mortals? I’m sure Cat bloggers can come up with as suitable motif.

  3. Mike of Marion

The Trophy Title: “Fast up the Fundamental Orifice”

A trophy of “a head up it’s arse”

  4. DrBeauGan

Tbat sad cow has got into, to be charitable, her mid fifties without discovering she is stupid. That takes REAL stupidity.

  5. Andrew

This video summarises why Australia now has 100′s of billions of dollars of debt when coming from a position of negative net debt.

  6. danno

“Tbat sad cow has got into, to be charitable, her mid fifties without discovering she is stupid”

Gold Medal .. Fair comment with a difficulty degree 0f 9.2

  7. Cold-Hands

And she used to be a teacher… Pity her students.

  8. Notafan

She obviously attended the Anna Bourke parliamentary school of manners
‘how to make a complete cake of yourself on national television and be remembered in perpetuity class ‘.
It’s a compulsory class for all left wing females, optional for LNP.

  9. Docket62

I would , with the greatest disrespect intended, suggest that if the ministers ‘briefing notes’ numbered 236 on a 19 page submission, then not only is the minister bereft of intellect, but her minions whom she has employed using our money.

  10. Gab

And she used to be a teacher

Funny that. i didn’t know she’d been a teacher but was about to make comment that she struck me as being more a school marm than a Senator.

  11. Motelier

The problem with this is that the said Senator is unable to grasp the finer points of either performing to the cameras or doing a presentation.

The words pen, highlighter, sticky notes, and dot points seem to be missing from her vocabulary.

However on a brighter note she is sure to be a wiz at Facebook, twitter (JC you know you have to ) and probably makes really excellent use of an Iphone.

We had kids from the US Navy here last year while the USS George Washington. Their writing was nearly illegible.

Educators worldwide in the west are failing our children. And this bint is proof that our educators are all but illiterate in a pressure situation.

  12. Mick Gold Coast QLD

    I love Labor wymminses.

    They are homogenous and consistent.

  13. johninoxley

Senate Award: STDs (sarah two dads senate award) You know you want one.

  14. Cold-Hands

Just did the arithmetic. She was only a teacher for 12 months! (1984-85), then she was a union apparatchik until she inveigled her way into the Senate last year.

  15. James of the Glen

ZK2A’s suggestion is commendable, but could it not be called the “Sarah Sea-Patrol Award”?

  16. calli

The good senator reminded me of this. The hamster needs a decent burial*

    *nadt

  17. H B Bear

This useless woman replaced WA ALP Senator Chris Evans, who as Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, implemented the policies developed by Julia Gillard that lead to over 50,000 irregular arrivals and a direct cost of upwards of $10bn.

    Arguably she is an improvement.

  18. candy

Very ill mannered and poorly dressed/presented for her position.

  19. DrBeauGan

She may be doing less damage in the senate than teaching in a school. Small children might suppose her wise and her opinions important.

  20. Mk50 of Brisbane, Henchman to the VRWC

My God, that female object is so thick as to make pitch look like quicksilver.

  21. Mk50 of Brisbane, Henchman to the VRWC

We’re all awaiting the ninth drop…

    …any month now…

  22. Motelier

    Mk50,

I thought glass was more viscous than pitch. And that means this silly bint that is a senator from WA is see through.

    …any month now…

I might look back next year.

  23. C.L.

    Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

  24. Carpe Jugulum

Who the hell was that dribbling cretin?

  25. JC

LOL… what a complete imbecile. No doubt she’s a member of or applying to Emily’s List.

  26. will

I thought glass was more viscous than pitch. And that means this silly bint that is a senator from WA is see through.

more viscous? yes, it is a solid.

  27. JC

Seen her Bio, Sinc? Just take a look at this spectacle.

Qualifications and Occupation before entering Federal Parliament

    BEd (Murdoch).

    Teacher 1984-85.

    Community organiser 1985-87.

    Organiser, United Voice 1987-2001.

Assistant Branch Secretary, United Voice 2001-07.

Assistant National Secretary, United Voice 2007-13.

Lol, where have I have the community organizer pedigree before? Where I wonder? She was a so-called community organ grinder for longer than she was a teacher. My guess and it’s only a guess… the kids dodged a bullet. However the community she was organ grinding for most certainly didn’t.

  28. candy

I would say she’s very smart, but definitely needs retraining/attending some workshops on how to facilitate respectful relationships in the workplace, daily communication skills/listening skills and so on, to achieve better outcomes, judging by that particular interaction.

  29. JC

Did you work in HR ar some stage, Candy? That sounds awfully like HR slop.

The woman is a total imbecile and no amount of workshopping, outreach for the mentally handicapped is going to help her. You can’t boost an IQ from the low 70′s to 100 very easily unless there was cheating going on.

  30. JC

Candy, roll the tape again and listen carefully to what the woman says to her and what Madam Einstein say at the very end.

Senator Community organizer was specifically told the report ran for (I think) 19 pages. After flopping around pages like a clubbed seal she then refers to page 30 something thereby fucking up again. All this after she said that she had carefully reviewed the report.

  31. H B Bear

All jokes aside, when you look at that CV and consider that that is the best quality candidate that the ALP can put up and get through the factional infighting for a casual Senate vacancy you realise the level of difficulty they are in.

She then goes on to join the Nuclear Milkman, Big Bill Ludwig’s work experience son, the $106bn woman K D Wrong and Doogie “mind ma tea” Cameron. What a circus.

  32. JC

Why are you putting down circuses, bear. These fuckers would likely kill themselves putting the tent up.

“We are us”. Don’t forget it. “We are us”.

  33. Gab

Senator Community organizer was specifically told the report ran for (I think) 19 pages.

She was told that twice (I think the first time it was 20 pages) and the silly bint just talked over the top of Ms Tarrant the first time she told her it was 20 pages, but she ignored Tarrant and proceeded with her sanctimonious rant instead. The Senator is arrogant.

  34. Mick Gold Coast QLD

“retraining/attending some workshops on how to facilitate respectful relationships in the workplace, daily communication skills/listening skills and so on, to achieve better outcomes”

… dribbling down the chin, onto the stained beige cardigan and down to the colourful brown and brown checked slippers. Extraordinary.

  35. H B Bear

I think that had McSporran and the Droner’s fingerprints all over it. They were a great combination.

  36. To be quite fair to the silly, misrepresenting representative, short submissions to hearings and committees are often bound together into longer documents which are then numbered sequentially. Accordingly, the BCoA submission she discusses, though only nineteen pages, may well be renumbered in the senator’s copy as (say), pp. 221-40.

  37. JC

All well and good, Deadman. But she starts off referring to page 236, then gets help from a flunky and then goes to page 30 something. This is after suggesting she was on top of the report and read it cover to cover.

  38. JohnA

Yes, Deadman, I’m with JC on this. The video is quite clear that the Sen is speaking with forked tongue, possibly from somewhere that the sun shine doesn’t reach…

  39. Motelier

Yes, Deadman, I’m with JC on this. The video is quite clear that the Sen is speaking with forked tongue, possibly from somewhere that the sun shine doesn’t reach…

She failed office works 101. Highlighters, sticky notes, and pens.

No amount of gilding the Lilly will help this bint.

What we saw was just complete and utter incompetence.

  40. Mick Gold Coast QLD

    From Deadman at 10:52 pm:

“To be quite fair to the silly, misrepresenting representative, short submissions to hearings and committees are often bound together …”

That’s her job, she gets paid $200,000 pa plus fabulous perks to know that.

  41. Dan

    Worryingly….

    she was born in ’53

Did the university thing and graduated in…. Who the fuck knows what year. It isn’t stated.

31 years after her birth, she joined the teaching profession. I assume she had time out to raise kids. That’s very very worrying.

Having held down a job for a year in teaching, this person considers it their duty to represent people who work in hospitality, hospitals, bakeries, etc. Becomes chummy with Helen fucking Creed (nowadays working her magic in the WA bureaucracy of Sport and Recreation – Fair workplace division)

    No mention of a husband.

As an aside, how come so many Unionists have an AM?

  42. Ant

Being a community organarzer, she’s gotta be presidential material.

A little light on the requisite street cred cool maybe, but the competence level is definitely on the money.

  43. Ed

This is after suggesting she was on top of the report and read it cover to cover.

She never actually said she read it.
What she said was, “Ive taken the time to get myself across it.
That might mean someone else read it and then briefed her on it.

  44. No doubt she’s a member of or applying to Emily’s List.

She joined EMILY’s List Australia, long before her appointment to the senate, in 1998.

  45. KevFromCanberra

I despair for how these cretins are being paid serious money out of our taxes to bumble and stumble their way from one screw up to the next. Is there something toxic in the water at Parliament House that is frying their brains?

    http://youtu.be/i1FGNn2YNXU

  46. JC

She joined EMILY’s List Australia, long before her appointment to the senate, in 1998.

    Lol. Really?

  47. JC

Never thought you were Deadster. Get a load of those other idiots.

  48. Hugh

Note that this blundering person was moved to correct S-H-Y the other day who was herself off on a frolic! Who guards the guardians?

  49. mundi

PLease tell me she is the half being thrown out?

  50. Motelier

Would I lie to you, JC?

Interesting. I note from the above link that the Member for Capricornia is not mentioned.

Oh silly me. She is in the LNP.

So can it be assumed that some time in the future that all members of the ALP and Greens will be Emilys Listers?

If so, can someone suggest a country that is a “safe haven”

  51. Motelier

    Current Member for Capricornia

Correction there because the Emilys list website is still in the dark ages.

  52. Note that this blundering person was moved to correct S-H-Y the other day who was herself off on a frolic!

Hugh, are you confusing Sen. Penny Wright (Greens, SA), who sat next to Sen. Hanson-Young, with Sen. Sue Lines (ALP, WA)?

  53. Fisky

This woman is a complete nobody – a Labor hack and union stooge until she found herself a senate seat. No brains whatsoever.

    A 200 odd page ‘summary/brief’ of a 20 page document???
    Our public service at work?

  58. jupes

    A 200 odd page ‘summary/brief’ of a 20 page document???
    Our public service at work?

Well picked up Mater. That is truly astonishing.

  59. tomix

The Member for Capricornia won a seat that had been held by the ALP for 48 of the last 52
years. She has had zero press coverage, apart from joke newspaper The Rockhampton Morning Bulletin, which has daily conniptions over her victory.

  60. Mick Gold Coast QLD

    From tomix at 7:59 am:

“The Member for Capricornia won a seat …”

How come the National’s Landry (“Member for …” = House of Reps) is getting a run in this thread? Does she appear on Page 237 of the 19 page submission?

  61. tomix

How much Sue Lines can the thread sustain?

  62. TerjeP

    Australia needs more LDP senators.

  63. Sinclair Davidson

Terje – indeed. Hopefully Jim will be re-running in WA.

  64. Alfonso

Sue fell on her feet. Better to be well paid and allowanced and stupid than be poor and stupid.

  65. james

    Australia needs more LDP senators.

    Damn right.

  66. kae

    Will
    Late here.
There was a theory that glass is a supercooled liquid.
Old, very old, glass does flow (it’s said), the bottom of a piece of window glass is thicker than the top in buildings like old cathedrals.

A little research and I find that glass is something in between a liquid and a solid, a disorganised solid.

  67. Fred Lenin

I am having a great time lately,i stopped watching alpbc news, now I know a Lot mre and what I know is the tTruth.the Adults are running the government, they are srptrange people these LNP people, they dont hog the camera at every opportunity,,they speak common sense. And dont tell Lies as near as I can tell.they stopped the criminal illegal migrant. Un/alp/greendestroy Australia Plan, they have their faults,,too PCto openly condem absolute rubbish.too polite to destroyy the alpbc and fauxfacts appointing out and out narxist failures to cypushtpy jobsv comrade combet and that stupid soottdespoyer the havent attrpemptedto getrid of broberg andfinklsteen the narxist law trade aparatchiksand all the other alp apoitees in the law trade,.Academia and teaching are stoll rotten with narxist clowns on big Taxpayer funded “jobs”
It seems we need to change the wholepolitical System to cleanse Australia of greedy self serving Filth.

  68. David Black

Oddly enough, I thought she looked quite good in the official photo on her Parliament website. I wonder what went wrong since?
(Good to see the references to Michelle Landry. I voted for her just before I moved from Rockhampton and its “joke” newspaper.)

  69. Habib

Fugly, stupid and obnoxious. She’s the poster harpy for Emily’s List.

  70. Balatro

When I was a young and callow yoof, I worked in the steelworks at Newcastle. For those who failed to secure the approval of the tribal elders, the senior fitters, the most common verdict was “wouldn’t know if his arsehole was bored or punched”.
With the fifth form girl SHY and Sue “I’m across it” Lines, it seems the contagion has reached the Senate.

  71. .

What fucking costings did Medicare or the old age pension have to begin with?

Well, this imbecile would pull some number outta her arse!

  72. .

What in christ’s name do community organisers do in Australia?

    PS

The most vapid, insidious machine person in the ABC is Catherine King.

A director at KPMG for community services? A total stitch up.

She’s like Gail Kelly, Joan Kirner and the daughter of dracula. Mark my words. She is an oik with her sole purpose in life to become PM.

If she wasn’t a politician she’d a boring little fuck and well disliked.

I hope to christ the ALP get their candidates to talk to their rusted on voters a bit more. There is no way an old shearer or cannery worker is going to listen to some third rate Australian clone of a UK PPE grad waffle on about how grand their former dear leader’s Apology Foundation is…

  73. Wozzup

“Unrepresentative swill” – About the only thing I would agree with Keating on.

But maybe I would go further. There is an old and not terribly flattering joke that “If you cant do it – teach it. And if you cant teach it become and educational administrator”

Maybe we could adapt that saying. “If you can’t do it become a lower house politician. And if you can’t succeed as a lower house politician, become a Senator.”

    God spare me.
