What they said 2014-02

Craig Thomson:

Turning to credit cards and escorts, I have consistently from day one denied any wrongdoing in relation to these issues.

Julia Gillard:

I have complete confidence in the member for Dobell.

Julia Gillard:

There is only one member of Parliament who’s been charged with a criminal offence – it’s not a member of my team.

Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg:

Guilty.

    As was said with Rudd:

    “Goodbye and fuck off”.

Hope you enjoy the food, and their own “red room”.

Judgments of Julia and Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg. Who next to face a Magistrate?

By the time the dust settles and all the court cases play out, including those that haven’t even begun, the Rudd-Gillard-Rudd government will put Whitlam in the shade for both criminality and incompetence.

    This is just the beginning.

One day we may find out more about Lionel Murphy.

Everyone who voted for Gillard because “they could not vote for Abbott” should have themselves declared incompetent and as a civic duty, have themselves struck off the electoral roll.

…even some avid readers of this blog who now have seen the light. I don’t care. You’re a disgrace and not fit to vote, serve on a jury etc.

  6. steve

Agreed, for people to say that they voted for Labor until this happened or that happened. That’s like saying “I used to be an idiot, but I got better”

  7. Bill

I hope I can have I can have confidence in the current Member for Dobell?

I may be mistaken but I have a recollection that Thomson stood up in Parliament at one stage and tried to blame Abbott for all this.

You know, Thomson’s defense had a subtelty to it which may have been lost beneath all the salacious evidence that was presented to the Court.

Let me try to explain. Assume for a minute that rorting was rife within this union. Assume further that all the union officials knew it was going on and that everyone preferred to turn a blind eye. It follows that, in a way, this kind of rorting was regarded almost like a perquisite of office. So when Thomson argued that what he did with his credit cards was permitted by the union, in substance, that may not have been too far off the mark.

On the other hand, given the extent of the rorting and all the surrounding scandal, it would have been very tricky for a judge or jury to accept that kind of defense, regardless of the logic behind it.

Another interesting point is that Kathy Jackson was howled down, if not persecuted, by so many lefties when she blew the whistle on Thomson’s activities. It would be interesting to see if any of them will now apologise to her.

Imagine all the recent things that wouldn’t have transpired if Rudd had been re-elected.

  10. Docket62

    …and so it begins……
The first in many to bite the dust. Sentencing is irrelevant, proof of guilt is. Documents obtained from the locked storage in WA together with the timely release of the Wilson file currently held by Melbourne magistrates court will coincide with evidence being given in a Royal commission! and number two will go down like the proverbial bag of shit (Gillard). The collateral damage from just those two will tip the scales. Gillard won’t take the fall on her own, she’ll plea bargain, as will shagger… And when THAT can of worms is entered into the annals of the commission, the fires will burn for years.

I have my popcorn, and Dan Murphy’s on speed dial.. (Oh alright, I have the app on my phone.). I’m ready to watch this and enjoy the most spectacular destruction of both unions and the ALP to occur. It’s a once in a lifetime event, and if want a ringside seat

  11. Docket62

    &$@ing ipad keyboards!

  12. C.L.

    Perfectly summarised.

Let us never forget that Gillard attacked a clinically ill woman and compared her to a man who stole money from the poorest female unionists to pay for prostitutes.

That’s the measure of Julia Gillard.

  13. Leigh Lowe

I have my popcorn, and Dan Murphy’s on speed dial.. (Oh alright, I have the app on my phone.).

    Oh?
Does the app having tasting notes like “complements slow-roasted stool-pigeon” or “partners well with lard-coated rump of pork” or “great accompaniment for pork-pies”.

  14. In October 2012, Mr Thomson promised to sue anyone who said that “he’s had sex with prostitutes”; in my “Craig Thomson Is a Crook”, I asserted that he did indeed have “sexual congress (or some other form of sexual relations) with prostitutes”.
I’m beginning to think now that I shan’t be sued.

Oh yes… It does allow for notes to be added. The newest release “HMP Port Phillip “shaggers private red room” shiraz has the added release date of ‘never’ (and appears it can only be ordered using a company credit card by the look of it. whilst the more reasonably priced “ditch the witch” Chardonnay which is from a new winery in Adelaide called TLS, has the unusual annotation that whilst it can be ordered it is likely to be lost in unusual circumstances and then the order is likely to be denied ever being made. Still worth a shot

  16. JC

I asserted that he did indeed have “sexual congress (or some other form of sexual relations) with prostitutes”.

No shit. Alternatively he could have been playing backgammon with the hookers.

  17. C.L.

    But shagger’s innocent!

And he WILL beat the charges, according to Monster.

  18. Carpe Jugulum

I’m beginning to think now that I shan’t be sued.

Unless shagger suddenly proves someone stole his penis i reckon you are safe. ;)

Heh, heh. Labor knew everything about that dog Murphy and they crowned him as a Justice of the High Court.

I’m just loving today. Anyone seen Craig’s lawyer McArdle stick his head up anywhere?

    Docket62 at 4:51.

    Superb.

This is going to be magnificent. After so many years of living in a fantasy land, reality is going to slap Labor and the unions in the face like a wet whale’s tail.

I am going to love every minute.

We won’t ever get the lost years back, the $500 billion back, nor ever get rid of the 50,000 fucking country shoppers that these fucktards let in.

But at least we’ll get to see them fall into the abyss that they have made for themselves.

    See you at the bottle-o.

    Missed one.

    Yeah. GUILTY.

Now we want the money back, a parliamentary comtempt finding and jail time.
