    The humanity.

Wow Bolt just did a David Warner and smashed Langton to all parts…conservatives & Libertarians really need to take lefty’s on more to reveal just how unhinged they are

  3. JC

    Really?

    What did he call himself?

I think it’s that reprobate Nabakov. Sounds awfully like him.

  4. Honesty

    Hendrix +1.
    They are bullies when confronted.

  5. Motelier

    Steve,

Quite funny to watch toward the end, when they’d banned anybody who’d shown the remotest dissent toward their groupthink. With nobody left commenting on the site, they all turned on each other, quite nastily too. Bwahahaha……

This sounds like “underthetabletalk” by Bob Ellis.

I have been banned there by the looks of it and I have the use of multiple IP adresses.

  6. Gab

Second caller after Langton was an Aboriginal man and he said Langton has no idea what she’s talking about.

  7. nic

Hendrix, away from the ABC, they ‘grow an extra set’ there

Second caller after Langton was an Aboriginal man and he said Langton has no idea what she’s talking about.

i listened to her and in my opinion she doesn’t appear mentally healthy. She was also extremely inarticulate and used words incoherently at times. I think we could be dealing with a mentally ill person.

  10. calli

The deference shown to Langton on Q&A the other night was interesting and revealing. I know you guys refer to Obama as a magic negro, but could it be that we are silly enough to hush to magic Aborigines?

How silly the once pragmatic and skeptical Aussie has become.

  11. Grigory M

Hmmmmmm I took it as a statement and not a question. So from my point of view there is no need for the question mark.

Bit presumptious of you – don’t remember you being asked for your view. But, I am in a friendly mood tonight.

So, good evening Norman. How’s Mother? Why didn’t you say you’d made a video? You sly dog, you. Funny too.

  12. Gab

I’ve said the same about her questionable mental stability a couple of times tonight, JC.

She’s also like gillard and her Gal Queda coven who see misogynists everywhere.

    Langton sees racism!!11!!! everywhere.

  13. calli

Perhaps she is obsessed by her not so black skin and is overcompensating.

  14. Gab

And Abbott has appointed Langton onto his Aborigine panel.

    What an idiot he is.

  15. I think it’s that reprobate Nabakov

Nabakov never had anything to contribute, just a big wooden spoon & a contrarian bad temper.
    Highly plausible it was him.

  16. And Abbott has appointed Langton onto his Aborigine panel.

Shouldn’t an “Aborigine Panel” have, y’know, Aboriginies on it?

  17. nic

Steve, at least get one that hasn’t been whacked a few too many times on the head from a nullah nullah

  18. Makka

” Design of expats houses in Lae (and elsewhere) was an elevated house with a locked grating through the middle, escape hatch in the floor. So if the raskols got in, the family could escape thought the hatch.”

Yep, my house to a T.

We drank a lot to sleep. And we had a very good dog inside the house ( the ones outside were the sacrifices). We got our hands on a tazer that I jerry rigged with a pole and trigger mechanism. No good if they had guns but in those days that was rare. In the end we acquired a handgun from a departing expat. That felt more secure. It was a .38 snub. No kids in the house in those days.

  19. calli

Oh, Makka…I had three little ones in bedrooms down the hall and the two dogs in the yard, and a boi haus out the back where the two meris slept (they refused to go back to the village at night..in the end we had a gaggle of little girls living out there too). Our ‘security guard’ was a long long (old bloke) with a bow and arrow.

That was in the mid-late 80′s. If you haven’t lived there, you think the stories are b/s. If you have, then you know the story teller is right on the money.

  20. Gab

Langton at one stage said she had no idea she was talking to Bolt.

Yet here is her Twitter comment:

    Marcia Langton ‏@marcialangton 1h

I will be on Steve Price Show Radio 2GB at 8.30 tonight with Andrew Bolt.</blockquote>

Oops. Forget his nom de plume of Tarquin Agapanthus Brokeback-Mountain….

  24. Honesty

Is this too far for bolt v langton I think not.

  25. Leigh Lowe

Even pilot suicide doesn’t add up. His co-pilot would have to be in on it one would think.

Not if you lock him out when he goes for a piss.

  26. Motelier

Bit presumptious of you – don’t remember you being asked for your view. But, I am in a friendly mood tonight.

I am just telling as I see it. Do I need you permission to comment on other comments in posts here. Uuuhhhhhmmmmm. that is a no.

You see I, Mr’s M, and our two boys receive nothing from the government, and all of us pay taxes to the government. Where do you and your family stand.

If you are insulted about my point of view on this, then I do not give a shit.

My creed that I follow is easily quoted by one of your shining lights, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country”

I am not sure that you could do that.

  27. Grigory M

    Fruity, Norman. Definitely fruity.

  28. Bons

My guess is a slow decompression
Results in an immediate alarm and mask drop well before voices become blurry. Cracks, or leaks, are automatically compensated for by an increase in cabin pressure input and are noted in the cockpit. Unless of cause it is a catastrophic explosive failure which does not compare all that well with the concept of a slow leak. “Professional Pilots” – mug bloggers.

The Race Democrats Can’t Afford to Lose

They just fucking did. No help from the libertarian party in not fielding a candidate to allow the GOP to win big. Sometimes I shudder at the American libertarian party and the shit they get up to at times.

Fuckwits, the biggest job going is the repeal of Kenyancare you morons.

  30. Leigh Lowe

The deference shown to Langton on Q&A the other night was interesting and revealing. I know you guys refer to Obama as a magic negro, but could it be that we are silly enough to hush to magic Aborigines?

    It’s possible.
I know of one who can make a 13 year old girl disappear from the front row at the footy with a wave of his hand.

  31. Makka

“Our ‘security guard’ was a long long (old bloke) with a bow and arrow.”

Yes! At one place we lived, we had an old Enga guy as a guard who came with the place, lived on the property. The rumour was his arrows were all poison tipped. We never had a raskol problem there and we were really disappointed to leave when the company sold the place.

  32. Makka

“Not if you lock him out when he goes for a piss.”

    True.

  33. Leigh Lowe

    Agreed Bons.
See my post earlier today which posed the same sort of questions.

  34. Bons

We drank a lot to sleep.
Popped out of bed one morning in our Madang chateaux to a furious loved one pointing to all of the beer cans scattered around the fridge.
It was not me or my pals, we were elsewhere. They had come up trough the floor well after we were abed. Scared the hell out of me. The ‘love me, love me’ dog received a severe talking to.

Switkowski warns over telco fibre plans
MITCHELL BINGEMANN THE AUSTRALIAN MARCH 12, 2014 1:09PM
NBN Co executive chairman Ziggy Switkowski has said plans by telecoms companies, including Telstra and TPG, to connect apartment blocks with fibre networks could “severely” impact the economics of the National Broadband Network.
Dr Switkowski’s warning comes as TPG Telecom forges ahead with plans to connect 500,000 apartment blocks and offices across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth with its own fibre-to-the-basement (FTTB) network.

cool. Compettion makes for better service

Telstra has said if TPG is allowed to build its fibre network for apartment blocks then the telco giant would be ready to do the same.

underlying message. It isn’t a priority now, but heck, we can let these upstarts take government business away!

But speaking to a Senate committee in Sydney today, Dr Switkowski said allowing telcos to cherry- pick lucrative apartment blocks would undermine the economics of the NBN.
He said if telcos were to compete with the NBN then it could have an “economic impact of 5 per cent to 10 per cent”.
“If organisations like TPG capture 500,000 perhaps high-value customers, that has sort of an economic impact at the 5 per cent to 10 per cent alone,” Dr Switkowski said.
“If you amplify that with the inclusion of other infrastructure-based companies, the economics of the NBN would be severely impacted.”
But Dr Switkowski said that if telecoms companies were allowed to roll out fibre networks to apartment buildings, NBN Co would “respond in some way” with competing products.

can’t have competition can we. it might stop piggy charging what he likes. And again, why hasn’t it happened already?

“The policy says NBN Co will be the exclusive wholesale provider of the national broadband network. And it’s a policy we are implementing,” he said.
“If there are infrastructure-based enterprises who want to test the limits of that policy, they take a risk that NBN Co will respond in some way as was the original construct.”
Former communications minister Stephen Conroy said the NBN Co needed to act now to protect the economics of the broadband rollout.
“[It] needs to be done relatively quickly, because TPG are in the basements of buildings in Sydney right now. And it’s actually happening now,” he said.

Oh thats why it hasn’t happened already. Underpants man was in charge. And apparently the private sector wanting to provide a service is bad. B-A-D

TPG’s plans for its FTTB network could clash with anti-cherry-picking legislation that was designed to protect the NBN rollout from competing networks.
The NBN Co is seeking clarification from the government on whether those laws will be applied to TPG’s plans.

What a clusterf**k. A big giant cluster**k we will be paying for for a generation.

  36. JessieHow long are you going to keep me here, I haven’t been unable to finish a sentence

Marcia Langton: How long are you going to keep me here, I haven’t been unable to finish a sentence
    ……………………….
in response the 6 or 7th time Bolt asks Langton the question he would like her to answer
ML: The original question in this.
Do I think you are a racist?
No I don’t think you are a racist, but I think what you do is have a business plan.
And your business plan is to use vulnerable young aboriginal people in a kind of weird game to make them feel embarrassed and humiliated because they identify as aboriginal and and you use the colour of their skin in these repeated mentions of young aboriginal people especially people that are studying. Ah
AB: That is an absolute mischaracterisation of my intention and what I do……………

ML: I am still trying to grapple with the first question.
I think there is a pattern to what you do to young aboriginal, and you use the colour of their skin to do so and that goes to race.. …racial concepts ……………playing with young peoples’ lives ….. and it is very unfair ……………………

  37. Mr Rusty

“[It] needs to be done relatively quickly, because TPG are in the basements of buildings in Sydney right now. And it’s actually happening now,” he said.

Captain Underpants and his Nuclear Milk has seriously lost it.

“There in the basement, can you hear them? Trying to install their fibre, trying to take over my precious NBN, my preciouuusss…”

  38. Jessie

    Oops,
Steve Price and Andrew Bolt 12th March with Professor Marcia Langton following her statements about Andrew Bolt on Q&A Monday 10th Vilification, Discrimination & Defamation.

What a response to the question from Bolt: Do you think I am a racist Marcia?

Finally …… at the end of the interview:
Langton states she does not believe Bolt is a racist. Langton believes Bolt has a business plan. And she believes this business plan is to use vulnerable young Aboriginal people in a kind of weird game. Langton also believes that Bolt has a pattern to what he does to young Aboriginals.

Langton has a conspiracy theory about Bolt, and it sounding like a fugly one Prof Langton. Will be good to hear more from Langton about the business plan Bolt has for young Aboriginals. And Bolt’s apparent patterns.
    Prof Langton’s background.

The Bolt -Price – Macia Langton interview is here.

“Listen to her pathetic arguments in response to direct questions put to her by Andrew Bolt after she accused him on the ABC of being a racist — shes an absolute waste of space. Apparently everyone is a racist according to Marcia Langton. She slip slides around all over the place and wont answer a direct question.”

The NBN really is a giant policy disaster. It’s coming up on 7 years since Rudd announced a$4billion spend on a NBN. In that period the cost has blown out, and the number of people connected wouldn’t fill a regional stadium. But private investment is illegal and now has to be banned to justify the billions sent.

The NBN is the Trabant of Internet policies. Ban private production, build a government version and make people queue forever, hoping one day they can get a connection.

And still people believe in the big lie of the NBN – that their suburb will ever be connected, and it will be free and awesome.

  41. Anna Barbauld

I gather from the pathetic level of commentary on this forum no one has any where near the level of education attained by Langton. That someone is not quick with ripostes and answering degrading questions isn’t a sign of intelligence. One only has to listen to Abbott to glean that fact. Langton is far better educated than Abbott but didn’t grow up in a white middle-class home where conversational acumen would be expected from a young age.
