Obama and the sound of one hand clapping

Obama finishes his press conference in Europe just yesterday and exactly one person clapped. Must have been from the Russian News Service Agency. For the rest, silence.

A well thought of man in Europe obviously. Well said Barrack.

  2. Grigory M

“The good news is that I’m very confident”

Huh? That’s good news? What a hopeless fucking joke he is. BTW – that one person was slow-clapping.

Bring on the mid-term elections. Hopefully, there will be enough Republicans elected to ensure the fool is impeached.

  3. gabrianga

Totally lost without his autocue Obama just can’t string more than two or three words together.

I suggest the guy clapping was just pleased that POTUS had finished his stuttering and stumbling address.

  4. rickw

You know you’re in trouble when even the Europeans think you’re a moron.

  5. Bruce of Newcastle

Irony. Only three years ago Obama was immensely popular in Europe. In France and Germany 90% of people polled wanted Obama to be re-elected.

Well CESMs*, you got him back. Enjoy every minute as he destroys your only defense against the barbarians.

    * Cheese eating surrender monkeys.

  6. stackja

One polite clap for the office of POTUS. Silence for Obama.

  7. Roberto

    That’s pretty embarrassing.

  8. Tintarella di Luna

Well I suppose melifluous, sepuchral tones can only do so much when the content is crapulous

I suggest the guy clapping was just pleased that POTUS had finished his stuttering and stumbling address.

I suggest there was a mozzie somebody was trying to squish.

  10. They used to love him over there. hundreds of thousands in the adoring crowd in 2008.

  11. Sooner or later, 90% of any sampled group wake up to the fact they’re being taken for a ride.

Every time I see this assclown speak, I marvel at the gullibility, indifference and/or stupidity of the human race.

Rudd and Gillard had the same effect.

Fox and Friends last night showed some American college students answering questions about their Senators in Congress.

One admitted she had no idea and then announced that she was doing a course in politics, finishing with a giggle.

Yes, that country is definitely on its way down the crapper.

Parts falling off the aircraft ‘too frequently’: by Their ABC’s Michael Vincent

“Ms Sanchez says the F-35 is currently four hours between “critical failures” rather than 13 hours as expected, and at that rate the program will not even meet its reliability goal of 50 per cent.

Lieutenant General Bogdan said with more planes in the skies, program bosses now know parts are coming off the aircraft “too frequently”.

Bwaaa…..this Mike idiot states in his heading “Parts falling off the aircraft ‘too frequently’:”, presumably in flight Mike?

What Bogdan said is “parts are coming off the aircraft “too frequently”. That means they are failing and have to replaced, Mike. Removed and replaced by ground engineers, Mike.
    Nothing is “falling” off aircraft.
    Their ABC.

better start sucking up to the winner of the cold war euroweenies. has obama told them yet that there are no borders, and no refugees, just voters that haven’t voted for equal free western taxpayer funded welfare for every human on the face of the planet, and for as many children as they can give birth to.

Same in too many places in Asia. Many in Taiwan are waking up to the reality how agressessive China is now Vlad has proven how hollow Obama is and how he makes the US so weak.

Of course the serious outbreaks of civil disturbances and heavy handed actions of the police has not made it to Australian news bulletins…

One wonders if the support for Obama is as high in Japan considering the inept way Biden & Obama have handled Chinese agressession.

Putin has got the message loud & clear, Russia will be able to ethnically cleanse all the lands his armies occupy of non-Russians as the weanies in the west will assist him in re-settling the people his cronies eject.

We must acquire the F-22, P-8 and B-2 aircraft to defend our airspace and interdict unprovoked aggression.

One suspects the statement by Biden saying that the Obama admin will get around to addressing the annexation by Russia of other nations territory in South Wales has lead to many people seeing how pathetic he & Cary are:

I know that President Obama will want to use the upcoming NATO summit in South Wales to generate concrete commitments to ensure that NATO is able to meet its Article 5 obligations to all members, which has been a priority from him and me since the beginning of our administration.

Just for your reference, this is when the South Wales summit will be:

    NATO Summit 2014

    4th – 5th September

As Wales’ leading business destination and one of the UK’s finest international conference venues, The Celtic Manor Resort will be a fitting host for The NATO Summit in 2014.

Got that. Russia invades a country in March & the Obama admin tells its allies the US will talk to them about that in SEPTEMBER!!!!

So……. This is what the morning after th’ night before looks like ‘eh?

But the love was strong? They thought it would never end…..

But upon dawns cold arrival a harsher light unveils. Political flab without clothes, the flaws without makeup, the tussled hair, the hangover….. Ah, how passion wanes and love recedes.

You better own a good Xerox that does US$s.
All best at show…..but the B2 is most essential, the others have substitutes.

  22. Jock

Do I correctly recall that the Europeans were all over Obama when he was first elected. I remember the “luvvved” him and loathed George W. Where has the love gone?

Surely they must now realise that Obama was never a real leader. Just a socialist on the make. The first time real international problem arises, he turns tail. Can you honestly see either Bush or Reagan acting this way. And while I have little truck with US Democrats, I cannot see a Truman or a Kennedy putting up with this rubbish from Putin.

Why has it taken this long for a small minded big spending left wing community agitator, to be seen for what he truly is?

  23. Alfonso

No argument there, I want to come back as a 25 yo F22 driver in my next life.
I’m a massive air superiority over Indonesia in the foreseeable future type, achievable in a number of ways.

    Alfonso,

I would also add that there should be a low cost ground defence option to. Lift the ban on semi-automatic firearms in 7.62 and .223 calibres. Introduce some variant of the Swiss military system, possibly with an angle that enrolement earns you the ability to own above.

Better to make them not even think about operations on the ground, rather than have to prove to them that it’s a bad idea.

  25. Abu Chowdah

Great speech. Give that man a cigar, Europe. You thought he was the dog’s bollocks when he was first elected, you racist old world twats.

  26. rebel with cause

If only he had worn his Noble Prize medal and blamed it all on Bush.

  27. Baldrick

Investigative sources say this is a picture of the only man who applauded President Obama’s speech. Security footage of the audience was scanned and this man, who is yet to be identified, was seated in a far corner.

But of course. Could you imagine actually invading America and being constantly shot at by guerrilla forces?

    WOLVERINES!!!

And as for Australia, Reapers, Predators and JASSMs, lots of JASSMs. That’d be a nice start.

The LDP military ground defence policy is based on the Swiss military system. The Swiss attitude to personal firearms ownership and training makes the NRA look positively laid-back.

What is a decent alternative to the P-8 Alfonso considering we are getting drones?

The S-3 is too old I presume as is the P-3 the P-8 replaces.

    Ahhhh – the Magic Negro!

How utterly stupid was America first time around? Suicidal as it turned out, when they elected the stupid little fop a second time.

I trust the dills get it some more from the talent free vacuous little spiv before he is done, to remind them of the inanity and the consequences of electing someone because he is black and for not one other reason (and for tolerating Washington which exists for the benefit of congressmen and senators courting and enriching each other).

They’ve demonstrated sufficient thick headedness to give Hilary of Benghazi her go in 2016 because wymminses. One can guarantee the lying bitch will finish off what’s left of the empire in just one term.

At the same time as The Muslim in Chief is bumbling his way through the corridors of Europe, trembling at the prospect of bumping into Vladimir, Reggie Love’s female-ish stand in, the rancorous Michelle, is spending her way through China puzzling the poor buggars with gems such as:

“talking up the value of education to Chinese students who rank #1 in the world in math, reading and science.”

    and

“As Shelley prattled on, Chinese high school students had to be wondering why the tall lady from America, the country that owes China $1.3 trillion, is encouraging them to borrow money for student loans.”

The electors of the USA asked for this pair, clamoured for them and expressed involuntary tiny wees of delight when they got them.

There isn’t a modern alternative to the P8, and UAVs aren’t really capable of being an ASW replacement (currently, at least). Well, Japan is playing with something but it ain’t ready and they probably wouldn’t sell it to us anyway. At least America will sell us the P8, unlike the other aircraft Dot and Alfonso mentioned.

  35. Bruce of Newcastle

Speaking of Obama and defense equipment, note this:

The White House is Defeating the U.S. Military

A March 25 article in The Washington Times was titled “Obama to Kill Navy’s Tomahawk, Hellfire Missile Programs in Budget Decimation” and on March 21, The Wall Street Journal published a commentary, “America’s Incredible Shrinking Navy.” When you add those to The New York Times February 23 article, “Pentagon Plans to Shrink Army to Pre-World War II Level”, you’ve got sufficient reason to begin to realize something very ominous is occurring.

Since B-2′s are a few billion a pop, I would say we could instead do plenty with a shedload of Tomahawks plus Hellfire missiles on the drones we are buying (since we’re already getting P-8′s). But that would be out of the picture if Mr Wimpy shuts down their manufacture. And he’s cutting both their Army and Navy. Is he totally stark staring mad or what?

  36. Old School Conservative

It was great to see the press conference attendees doing their job – reporting. Not like Obama’s minions back home who applaud all utterances, irrespective of news worthiness, content, damage to the US, or other stupid criteria. Not that Obama gives many press conferences these days.
The best part was his forlorn walk off stage, waving beseechingly to the silent crowd. Do you think he got the message?

  37. Cold-Hands

In concert with downsizing the army and navy, the Obama administration has stopped production of the F-22 Raptor after receiving delivery of 187 planes. Even if we wanted to, we couldn’t buy them.

  38. While Obama continues to lay economic burdens on his nation to avert a projected warming, someone else seems uncommonly interested in grabbing a warm water seaport and a warm southern wheat belt of enormous productive capacity. Maybe he’s heard something different about climate?

This other guy gets two-handed claps from Europeans – but maybe that’s just because he’s got a hold of their gas tap.

  39. Alfonso

No knowledge of drones, I guess that’s the future. However, too much easily missed without eyeballs on station, which the X box generation won’t believe.
The P3 is a great aircraft built on the L188, the finest turboprop that ever was. Shut down two and you get 19 hours endurance, shut down one your PNR improves. If it mimics the Electra, the depressurised CP is the limiting consideration when flight planning….. a rare thing.
P8…flash as a rat with a gold tooth, of course.
    Our problem is money.

  40. john constantine

for area denial, nothing gives bang for buck like mines. much hated, but for the wide open spaces of australia, land mine technology should be a must.

for commanding sea lanes and denying submarine predation, sea mines are what we can afford, construct and deploy.

  41. but for the wide open spaces of australia, land mine technology should be a must.

Notice how the things we badly need to battle the enemies we’re most likely to face are the ones being cut back? Land mines, cluster munitions, heavy-warhead precision surface-attack missiles, blue-water surface combatants (these “littoral warfare ships” the Yanks are building are a fucking joke; for that sort of money you could buy some sort of stretched Leander-class hull and fill it with lethal goodies and electronics) and so on and so forth.

If the Republicans win both Houses and don’t impeach Obama and charge him with basically everything, America deserves what it gets. The problem is, the rest of us don’t deserve it.

It’s a press conference Kates in front of journalists, not a speech, can you show any presidential press conference that ended with applause?

  43. Ironing Mike

That was the guys out the back in the kitchen tenderising the steak.

  44. Libertarian Yank

What was he thinking? He must have an earplug in his ear with automatic applause. It looks like he is acknowledging the nonexistent applause. As a displaced Yank living in Brisbane, I find it very hard to provide any support at all to this farce of a president.

Gees you’re rude. Your host is Steve Kates or Mr Kates.

You sound as uneducated and as pig ignorant as the Magic Negro.
