Anti-free speech activist hoist on his own petard

Outgoing Community Relations Commission chairman Vic Alhadeff has defiantly stood by his defence of Israel’s attacks on Gaza which forced his resignation and cast doubt on the government’s handling of the controversy.

Mr Alhadeff, who is also chief executive of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, quit the commission on Sunday, two weeks after he sent an email accusing Palestinian militants of war crimes and said “all options are on the table” in Israel’s defence of its citizens.

From the SMH.

We’ve had reason to comment on Alhadeff before.

As before: There is an open invitation to Vic Alhadeff to clarify his position on free speech in a guest post.

Good to see Sinclair making a stand against Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.

  2. Fisky

Absolutely pathetic. We should pass a law making it a criminal offence to support Israel, on the grounds it’s racist to support Israel or whatever, and then see if these fuckwits change their position on 18C. I bet they won’t though. They are too stupid to understand how they’ve dug their own grave.

Hey, Vic, those anti-free speech laws are doing a heckuva job of defending Jews in France, hey? (fucking moron)

  3. Fisky

Any Jew who opposes free speech should be forced to wear a yellow star. Why? Because that is what is going to come of their opposition to free speech eventually, as we are already seeing in Europe right now, so we should cut to the chase and make them confront their stupidity until they apologize for opposing free speech.

  4. Fisky

Where’s that Manny fuckwit who was opposing free speech because he thought it might lead to another holocaust or something.

Hey Manny, France is looking really good right now, isn’t it? Have you booked your ticket yet?

  5. Disillusioned

Hammy, you fail to mention Hamas war crimes like hiding behind civilians and violating the neutrality of UN facilities along with hospitals, mosques, schools and any other place the cowards can hide.

O/t, I was pissed of with the PM of Turkey talking genocide of Palestinians. At least Germany openly regretted their genocide on the Jews unlike Turkey with the Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks during and after WW2. Bloody hypocrites. Turkey wasn’t fighting for survival.

Adalheff as Community Relations Chairbitch. Someone had a sense of humour.

Suck up the propaganda you brainless halfwit. The Chosen are NOT our friends, and never were. Stop kidding yourselves.

Good to see Sinclair making a stand against Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.

I know you think the Gaza attacks on Israel are hilarious and you are using this site for your own personal belly laughs, but where does Sinclair do what you accuse him of doing?

The Community Relations Commission, Multicultural Affairs Commission etc. are all waste of tax payers’ money. How many part-time positions pay $35,000? What do they achieve for the society at large? If anyone feels the desire on these bodies, he or she should volunteer.
This gentleman has the right to voice his opinion, but there is winner in the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Paul, Mohammad’s mates are definitely not our friends but I hope you personally come to realise this sometime in the near future you leftist asshole. Perhaps you would like to become a human shield in Gaza? I will start a fund raiser for you. You can become a Hamas bitch.

Community Relations Commission? Sounds like an expensive leftard thought bubble gone wrong.

  12. Disillusioned

    Correction above: WW1

  13. Disillusioned

Why are all these Community Relations Commission and those of similar ilk always led by minority communities engaged in hostilities with other minority communities? Can’t we have an independent head for the organisations? Oh, I forgot, it will always be a political appointment. There must be some other way, like an additional vote during the state elections. If these people are going to represent the community shouldn’t the community have a say? I also agree with the suggestion above that these positions should be voluntary and unpaid except for actual costs incurred fulfilling the position like cabcharge to and from events.

  14. dan

Holy crap, they are being paid to be on this committee? I assume the payments aren’t success fees then.

  15. dan

The trick to community relations is for everyone to shut up and calm down and remember which country they or their ancestors decided to make their home.

    TROLL ALERT!

From which (anti-Jewish) planet have you just arrived, Paul?

PS: anti-Jewish is slightly more precise that anti-Semitic, since the Arabic people group trace their origins back to Abraham (through Ishmael) and Abraham was a direct descendant of Shem. So both sides of the Arab-Israeli conflict are of the Semitic line.

    Alhadeff seeks social justice!

  18. Disillusioned

    Alhadeff seeks social justice!

And what social justice would that be? All Alhadeff seeks is security for Israeli people, something that Hamas should be seeking for theirs rather than destruction of a society with which they disagree for no reason than their founder despised them. Sounds a bit like several other so-called religions of recent times. Are you implying that the Palestinians should become welfare recipients of Israel or the UN rather than building their own society by hard work? That they are entitled to handouts because of the hole they dug for themselves? If they truly want peace then give them a hand up not a handout. It is time that Islam grew up and ascended from they seventh century to take their place as equals in the 21st century, something that I doubt will happen in my lifetime or yours.

You’re arguing with the wrong person.

Why is anyone surprised that Jewish Community Organisations are anti Free Speech in Australia?

They always have been. From http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2014/01/the-jewish-war-on-white-australia-continues/
In the decades since the enactment of the Racial Discrimination Act in 1975, Jewish activists in Australia have continued to push for further legal restrictions on speech deemed contrary to their interests. In 1995 their activism, in the form of detailed submissions to the National Inquiry into Racist Violence and the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, succeeded in having section 18C inserted into the Act by the then Labor government.

I have a Frenchman staying with me at present, lovely guy, who says that their are no ghettos in Paris, he has been there and what we know is just TV.

I was astounded and had no comeback. Is this true? Is there really not a problem with Muslim ghettos in Paris?

Can anyone give me good linkies? (Good = factual.) Thanks

Those kooky francophones, they really are funny about recognising words introduced into French from other languages, most especially English.

It is probably because the word is said to be drawn from Yiddish and we how culturally sensitive the French are, especially when accommodatng the believers who would never be caught alive in any form of residence which may be associated with the Tribe of Abraham.
