If only we had laws against hate speech …

If you listen carefully, however, it sounds like Palmer is ranting against the Chinese government not Chinese people per se. Penny Wong must have thought that too, she didn’t seem to want to get involved.

The great man tells it like it is. Inspirational stuff.

  2. Badjack

Clive 4 Evah….you are right, he is inspirational….. he has inspired the Chinese to go harder.

  3. Alfonso

Indeed, word of warning to the LibLab establishment….. the infallible saloon bar poll has Clive admired as someone who’s ‘sticking it to the shiny bums’. The pollees often add that Australia would be a different place if binding referenda existed. They resent their inability to impose majority rule on the establishment.

Fun thing about Communism is that the government is the people.

  5. Up The Workers!

Have to laugh about Labor’s confected “outrage” this morning on their Fauxfacts 3AW propaganda orifice. They are huffing and puffing that they are “outraged” that Clive Palmer vilified the Chinese and may have committed a capital offence by using allegedly “racist” language against them.

I seem to recall not many years ago, that 3AW and other such grovelling Labor propaganda doormats, were spruiking the legendary abilities of Labor’s Mandarin-speaking, superior quality master-diplomat, Kevin Rudd.

He went, at the head of a trough-snouting cast of thousands of A.L.P./Green public serpents, to Dopenhagen, where he demonstrated both his Mandarin-speaking ability AND those legendary Labor diplomatic skills, by masterfully referring to the Chinese Communist Party Leadership as: “…a bunch of ratf*ckers!”

LABOR (sic) – Without “U”, there is just something missing!

    What? The carpet?

  8. Rudiau

    Sorry, couldn’t resist.

  9. Gab

    But earlier… 2009:

THE nation’s fifth-richest man, Clive Palmer, has denounced the federal government’s foreign investment rules as racist, claiming they are weighted against Chinese companies seeking to buy into Australian resource projects.

  10. Tapdog

The guy’s a shonk. We disgrace oursleves by giving him oxygen.

  11. rebel with cause

Team Australia is a loser team anyway. They squib at the first sign of trouble and spend all their time dancing to leftie tunes. The GWS Giants have got more hope of recruiting new members.

  12. rebel with cause

  13. Geoff

Hey Clive, whats the name of your coal mine in the Galilee? Not China First by any chance…

  14. ar

The rapturous applause for Palmer diminished steadily through the show…

jesus wept, this parliament truly is beyond saving…….

  16. Te only thing worse than a bad law is a bad law that is selectively applied.

I don’t think anyone should be tried under 18c. It is a bad law. But if we are going to try some people who breach 18c (e.g., Andrew Bolt), then all breaches of 18c should be prosecuted.

Otherwise we do not have the Rule of Law.

  17. .

    Correct, Aussiepundit.

This is why we need far fewer laws.

  18. .

Like a great man once said…”More law, less justice”

  19. Elwood

Palmer in the Senate, Hanson in the slammer.

    Misogyny??

  20. Australian defence expert Jacquie Lambie: ‘Yeah, coz I was in the Army and stuff.”

  21. Thing is, what both Palmer and Lambie say is, on the surface, correct. Communist China is pretty disgusting on a human rights level. Not that there’s anything wrong with that (eg. everything we buy is made there, except for our children, who are made in Thailand, apparently).

I just have serious doubts about their motives for saying it.

Clive clearly has issues because of this lawsuit that’s going to bankrupt him (fingers crossed), while Lambie wants a bigger Defence budget because presumably she’s thought of something else expensive to sue them for.

  22. Rabz

Bluddee hell, I really have woken up in some bizarre parallel universe:

If anybody thinks that we should have a national security and defence policy which ignores the threat of a Chinese communist invasion – you’re delusional and got rocks in your head,” she (Lambie) said in a statement on Tuesday.

What are these people doing in my consciousness, FFS? Enough!

  23. Clive 4 Evah

Clive clearly has issues because of this lawsuit that’s going to bankrupt him

Dr Martyr, Clive the Redeemer will emerge from this pointless litigation in triumph. To paraphrase the good Senator from Tasmania, “anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional and has got rocks in their head”.

  24. tomix

The way Palmer is going, the A.L.P. won’t have many of their “traditional” voters left by the next election.
Maybe Abbott, the Media, and the Courts can help the Wukka’s Party avoid a collapse in their primary vote.
Or is Palmer a bit smarter than Hanson and her advisers?

  25. Dr Martyr, Clive the Redeemer will emerge from this pointless litigation in triumph. To paraphrase the good Senator from Tasmania, “anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional and has got rocks in their head”.

    Thanks, Clive’s Mum.

But the rest of us live in the real world.

  26. Percy

If anybody thinks that we should have a national security and defence policy which ignores the threat of a Chinese communist invasion –

We’ve got one that seems to be ignoring the communist invasion from the south.

  27. KGB2

Palmer needs councilling on Chinese Culture.I have many Chinese friends for many years, and I know a little about the way they think. One extremely important thing is Face other peoples perception of you.You must never be seen to be weak or foolish the misuse of these funds makes the Chinese Government look weak and foolish. Foolish for trusting palmer with the money, and he must think them weak to purloin it .
This is a loss of Face that cannot be endured, the perperator must be severely punished ,as an example to others who might be tempted to emulate him Face Must be Restored,It is not the money ,its the principle.
My advice to palmer make full restitution, with huge interest, and Grovel Grovel Grovel Demean yourself totally or the consequences will be disastrous for you. The formidable resources of Chinese Security with the most modern technology will be unleshed on you And no one will save you.

  28. KGB2

Sorry thet should start ” counselling” ,got the local council fools on the brain!

  29. Clive 4 Evah

The formidable resources of Chinese Security with the most modern technology will be unleshed on you And no one will save you.

    What preposterous, hysterical, semi-incoherent drivel.

  30. .

KGB2 – whilst you are somewhat right, your diction reminds me of the Chinese spies on American Dad…but seriously…anyone got any launch codes?

  31. Rabz

    KGB2

Dot, it’s Sir Fred Lenin. I’d recognise that pattern of typographical errors anywhere.

  32. What preposterous, hysterical, semi-incoherent drivel.

Don’t be too sure of that, Clive’s Mum.

Clive’s car, house, phone, offices, bank accounts, email accounts, and daily movements are currently being watched very carefully.

You think that ‘Dio Wang’ guy just somehow fell into PUP? (PS: Dio Wang’s real name is Wen Ho Li. He’s just wearing a really good disguise.)

  33. .

…but seriously…anyone got any launch codes?

  34. Splatacrobat

Palmer tried to downplay his outburst by saying it was levelled at Chinese companies. Do Chinese companies execute citizens or invade countries?
Abbott winks and the ABC goes ballistic dialled up to 666
Palmer calls our largest trading partner bastards and mongrels and the ABC largely runs dead. Bishop now has to clean up Clive’s dog shit from out the front of the Chinese embassy.

  35. egg_

Do Chinese companies execute citizens or invade countries?

If he ratcheted it up another notch, we’d have got “they eat their children, y’know?”?

  36. Alfonso

Do Chinese companies execute citizens or invade countries?

Given that many of the giant Chinese corporations are owned by the PLA…..sure.

  37. EB

He made it clear enough that he was talking about the government, but it was also a message for the less discerning.

    Palmer’s vote increased last night.

  38. David

Clive4Evah is a first week apprentice to Hammy and still looking for the striped paint. Difference is that Hammy [very] occasionally shows some class.

Probably lots, but they are stuck on the train and it’s going quite fast now…

  41. You could hurt his/her feelings Phillipa.

Oh well. Clive’s Mum is just doing what she does.

  42. .

So…Palmer owes money perhaps to a Chinese company and our defence policy changes?

Now I know he’s got to go.

    BTW…anyone know any launch codes?

Clive is a real character. Kev upset SBY and TA got blamed . Now Clive upsets the Red Chinese. Of course TA will get the blame.

  45. Gab

Now Clive upsets the Red Chinese. Of course TA will get the blame.

True but then again it is Abbott’s responsibility to get that message out to the public and keep driving it home; and get his ministers to do the same – oh that’s right, he’s gagged most of them from speaking in public. Recall how he never blamed Labor for the 2009 spying on Indonesia and he copped all the blame, well that’s what you get when you pretend to be Team Australia. Not everyone plays that game.

  46. mmxx

Palmer has outed himself as an out-of-control sino-robotic troll.

There to confuse the masses using Tony Jones as a willing conduit (oops, auto correct kicked in with close anagram for idiot).

Crazed PUP Tasmanian Senator now pushing us to would-be conflict with China.

I blame the recent super-moon event for all the above.
