The Taliban of the modern American left

The American Civil War ended a long long time ago, but the American left has now decided to refight the war when slavery has vanished and racist attitudes in the US are at an all-time low, of course absolutely forgetting that it was only Democrats who were members of the KKK when the KKK was a force to be reckoned with. World War II ended in 1945, but the American left seeks to refight this war as well in its march against fascism which disappeared seventy years ago only to re-emerge during the 1960s among the New Left. The Cold War against Russian communism ended at the end of the 1980s, but the American left has decided to refight the war against Russia now that it is no longer a communist state. And, not to be forgotten is that the slave states were all Democrat, that the left was utterly opposed to entering the second World War until communist Russia itself was attacked by the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, and that during the Cold War the greatest defenders of mutual coexistence with Russia – that is, appeasement – were Democrats. Now they are revisiting these ancient long-settled issues in the midst of our present battles conveniently forgetting which side they were on when these issues were actually current. And what is the big issue of our time right now? Radical Islam. And who are its friends. Why, once again, it is the self-same Democrats who have been the perennial enemies of freedom, as they most certainly are again.

In the whole of the United States at the present time, there would hardly be as many as 100,000 “Nazis” or members of the Klan, who would have about as much political clout as a modern prohibitionist. Their sole value in today’s world are as background props for Democrats to parade themselves as soldiers of virtue, when they are actually America’s greatest danger. Here is an interesting take on it all, from a source who knows, truly knows, where the enemies of today really are. From Criticism grows over Netanyahu’s response to US neo-Nazism.

Criticism grew Thursday over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s limited response to a US white supremacist rally and President Donald Trump’s controversial remarks about it, with calls for him to speak out against anti-Semitism. . . .

So far, Netanyahu’s only response to the weekend white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia that ended in bloodshed was a tweet on Tuesday that many saw as vague.

“Outraged by expressions of anti-Semitism, neo-Nazism and racism. Everyone should oppose this hatred,” Netanyahu posted in English.

A Facebook post by Netanyahu’s son Yair further raised eyebrows.

He denounced “neo-Nazi scum,” but added that they were “dying out” and seemed to suggest left-wing counter-protesters “who hate my country” were a growing threat.

So where are we now? To show how anti-whatever they are, Next on Liberal’s List for Destruction- Confederate Carvings at Stone Mountain Memorial. Which reminds me of the same deranged mentality displayed by the Taliban in destroying the Buddhist statues of Bamiyan. Sickening vandalism but ruthless displays of an arrogant disregard for anything other than their own will to power.

Who are the actual fascists, the actual brown shirts, the actual Nazis of the moment? They are by close analogy the Democrats and their violent “Antifa” allies. And there are millions who will take their path as they are guided on their stupefied way by our ignorant and historically illiterate modern journalists whose vacuous writings are little different in their truth content and direction than the average weekly postings of Der Stürmer had been in the 1920s.

Rather long, rambling and desperate attempt to defend Trump’s pathetic response to the murder of a young American woman and the public promo of Nazism in the US. Give it up. Trump is a list cause.

There is some middle ground on this issue by selling the statues rather than destroying them. It removes the imprimatur of the state (if that is important to you) with destroying the art or history.

I recall when the Buddha statues were destroyed, an apologetic argument was attempted that this country was just exercising its right to “take out its own garbage”. It was countered by offers to buy the statues, if they considered them garbage, which were ignored.

For years I have been amazed at the number of Australian Leftards who are utterly convinced that Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat, and that it was the Republicans (or their forebears) who fought to retain slavery. When you tell them that it was actually Obama sin Laden’s Party which was the “slavers’ Party” during the American Civil War, they look at you as though you are almost as demented as they themselves are.

Similarly with the “White Australia Policy”. Ask a rusted-on Leftard which Party introduced it into Australia, and they will tell you that it was the Liberals or their forebears.

Steve well said. I thought about the Taliban actions of distroying history ehen I read about the left democrats in USA. The latter are the fascists who want to dictate the rest of the population. Tnhey are also here in the guise of Greend and the union controlled ALP .

  13. Bad Samaritan

Just picked the following up from another site…….

    Democrat Senator Tim Kaine‏ says:
“Charlottesville violence was fueled by one side: white supremacists spreading racism, intolerance & intimidation. Those are the facts”

    And then this……

“Clad in black and wearing a mask, the youngest son of Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine wrested himself from the cop and then “squared off” with him.

“Woody Kaine, 24, was among five masked, black-garbed people suspected of lobbing a smoke bomb minutes earlier inside the Minnesota Capitol rotunda Saturday afternoon.

Officers had chased him down, but Kaine wasn’t about to submit, according to a more detailed account provided Wednesday by St. Paul police.

In the end, it took three officers, a “knee strike” and a chemical spray to subdue Kaine after he was identified as one of the counterprotesters who allegedly used fireworks or a smoke bomb to disrupt a rally in support of President Donald Trump at the Minnesota State Capitol, according to police spokesman Steve Linders.”

The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree, eh what?

I lived in Atlanta for a year in the 90’s and visited Stone Mountain a couple of times. Prior to that I had never heard of it. Just incredible that some would propose destroying it.

The experience started my love affair with America and their people. Just an amazing, wonderful country.

P.S In my experience the north is more racist than the south who are just more open about it.

Time for Trump to call out the National Guard and do a Kent State job on these alt-left anarchists. Perhaps a lesson on violence will be met with violence is required before it all descends into civil war. The violent offenders are the Marxists just like here in Australia.

My favourite statue is George Watts’ “Physical Energy” in London’s Kensington Gardens. Another casting in what was then Rhodesia was relocated from a prominent site after the local populace decreed that it represented white colonialism what with a white man astride a black horse (how you can define colours from a bronze finish is anybody’s guess). Added to that, nobody bothered to check the four guys Watts dedicated his sculpture to … a quartet of white supremacists in Muhammed, Ghenkis Khan, Tamerlane and Attila The Hun.

D’Souza: Racist Democrat Woodrow Wilson ‘a Pretty Good Candidate to Have His Statue Pulled Down’

Author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Wednesday regarding his new book The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left and also the Leftist-driven attacks on monuments.
In pointing out the deep-rooted ties between the American left, Nazism, and racism, D’Souza said, “Woodrow Wilson is almost single-handedly responsible for the revival of the Ku Klux Klan,” pointing out that Republicans had all but shut the Klan down prior to Wilson’s political ascendance.

He continued, “For several years there was no Ku Klux Klan and then Woodrow Wilson in the early 20th century screened a pro-KKK movie in the White House and it instigated a Klan revival. The Klan even spread to states where it wasn’t there previously, states outside the South.”

“So, if anyone is going to be going on pulling down statues,” he added, “Woodrow Wilson is a pretty good candidate to have his statue pulled down.” Wilson was a Democrat.

Ah yes, paid for by the KKK and where the Klan reformed in 1915, and still a beacon for white supremacists. So why is it that Republicans are the ones defending this sacred Klan holy site in 2017? Is it perhaps because all of the southern racists switched from Democrat to Republican parties in the intervening decades? Did Nixon’s Southern Strategy have something to do with it?

More ahistorical nonsense from Kates. As Steve Bannon said about ethno-nationalists: you are a collection of clowns.

  47. Ivan Denisovich

Is it perhaps because all of the southern racists switched from Democrat to Republican parties in the intervening decades?

    No:

Former racists of both parties renounced their old views (as Kevin D. Williamson points out, Lyndon Johnson himself voted against anti-lynching laws and poll-tax repeals), and neither party has a perfect record on racial matters by any stretch. But it is a libel to suggest that the Republican party, the anti-slavery party, the party of Lincoln, and the party that traditionally supported civil rights, anti-lynching laws, and integration, became the racist party after 1964. The “solid south” Democratic voting pattern began to break down not in the 1960s in response to civil rights but in the 1950s in response to economic development and the Cold War. (Black voters in the north, who had been reliable Republicans, began to abandon the GOP in response to the New Deal, encouraged by activists like Robert Vann to “turn Lincoln’s picture to the wall. That debt has been paid in full.”) In the 1940s, the GOP garnered only about 25 percent of southern votes. The big break came with Eisenhower’s victories. Significant percentages of white southerners voted for Ike even though the Democratic party remained firmly segregationist and even though Eisenhower backed two civil-rights bills and enforced the Brown decision by federalizing the National Guard. They also began to send GOP representatives to the House. These Republican gains came not from the most rural and “deep south” regions, but rather from the newer cities and suburbs. If the new southern Republican voters were white racists, one would have expected Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia to be the first to turn. Instead, as Gerard Alexander notes in “The Myth of the Racist Republicans,” the turn toward the GOP began in Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. Eisenhower did best in the peripheral states. Alexander concludes: “The GOP’s southern electorate was not rural, nativist, less educated, afraid of change, or concentrated in the . . . Deep South. It was disproportionately suburban, middle-class, educated, young, non-native southern, and concentrated in the growth points that were the least ‘Southern’ parts of the south.” Rangel is peddling a libel and Republicans should say so, loudly and often.

So who owns extremist racism now?

    Difficult to say …

there’s Black Lives Matter and the deafening silence about its slogans and deeds by the leftist msm … there’s the rampant anti-semitism of Islamic communities which is ignored by the Left in Europe and causing Jewish communities to flee … there’s the selective toleration of vicious crimes against young white girls (inter alia) by Moslem immigrants in the UK by leftist local governments …

… actually, come to think of it, while condemning Nazism (which after all is National Socialism) and fascism both left and right, it’s not really difficult to see where the bulk of extreme racism and intolerance lies.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a far right Socialist or a far left Socialist, you’re always a thief.

And of course who was it who was fighting the far right of Socialism on their own from ’39-’42? Oh that’s right, that dastardly old Conservative with the cigar. Fuckwits like Monty need to understand that we defeated the far right of Socialism, they’re gone, finished, vanquished. What Conservatives need to wake the fuck up to is that the far left of Socialism do still exist and they went back to fighting us on the 16th August 1945 and they’re winning. Their only real value today is to serve as decoy jammer; a minor or spurious target whose goal is to draw attention away from a real threat. One famous example of a decoy operation was the D-Day Glimmer operation that used chaff and radar reflectors to make the Germans think the landings would be in the Pas de Calais. Everybody wants to control the public schools. Everybody wants to control public parks. Everybody wants to control coercion. Everybody wants to hold the gun and wear the be

Government coercion is what people want. They want to be able to tell other people how to spend their money. They want to benefit their special-interest group at the expense of the general public.

Southern generals have statues in parks because the South lost the war. They are symbols of the supposedly grand old cause. America loves to have textbook stories of various grand old causes, which were quite simply a series of arguments about who was going to steal the public’s money and spend it. That’s what political rebellions are all about. That’s what civil wars are all about. That’s what empires are all about. Everybody wants his special-interest group to have the exclusive right to decide who wears the badges and who wears the guns. That’s what civil government is all about. That’s why it ought to be kept small. Small civil governments reduce the incentive to risk your life in order to get your hands on badges and guns.

Southern generals led about 400,000 young men to their deaths in a vain attempt to defend slavery. That’s the bottom line. Textbooks have it right. The South seceded on one basis alone: the defense of chattel slavery. That was not why Lincoln invaded, but that’s why South Carolina seceded. The rest of the South followed South Carolina’s lead.

The Confederacy started the tradition of drafting men into military service in April 1862. The Union imitated the Confederacy in March 1863. The South exempted all sons of men who owned at least 20 slaves. The North let men buy their way out of conscription for $300. In other words, the rich did not have to fight on either side of the Mason-Dixon line. It was a sweetheart deal for the rich. As troops in the South said, “Rich man’s war. Poor man’s fight.”

The issues at hand are about common decency. People who go to public places wearing Nazi kit and shouting Heil Trump or explicit anti Semitic rhetoric are not decent people. Their clear and explicit goal is to disturb other citizens. Their express purpose is to promote racism and sectarianism. They embrace violence. All of this is openly available information.

If neoconservatives and progressives truly understood fascism, they would stop using the word as a smear term. That is because both groups, along with most political figures and commentators, embrace fascist ideas and policies.
Fascism’s distinguishing characteristic is a “mixed economy.” Unlike socialists and communists who seek to abolish private business, fascists are content to let business remain in private hands. Instead, fascists use regulations, mandates, and taxes to control business and run (and ruin) the economy. A fascist system, then, is one where private businesses serve politicians and bureaucrats instead of consumers. Does the modern American economy not fit the definition of fascism?
Fascism benefits big businesses that can afford the cost of complying with government regulations, unlike their smaller competitors. Big businesses, which have more political influence than entrepreneurs or small businesses, also significantly benefit from government subsidies. In order to maintain their power, big businesses finance the “deep state” — the network of lobbyists, journalists, think tanks, bureaucrats, and congressional staffers who work behind the scenes to shape government policy.
Obamacare is an example of fascism that is often mislabeled as socialism. Obamacare did not create a government-run “single payer” system as would exist under socialism. Instead, Obamacare extended government control over health care via mandates, regulations, and subsidies. The most infamous part of Obamacare — the individual mandate — forces individuals to purchase a product from a private industry.

Yep. The Democrats are trying to expunge their sordid history. They are attempting to rewrite that history and create a new narrative in which they are good guys, the defenders of freedom, instead of the original party of Segregation, Jim Crow, the KKK, Slavery and Socialism… you could probably chuck Eugenics into that list of political putrefaction as well…. People are beginning to understand that the Democrats are not “liberals”, they are Socialists.

Socialism is the ideology of deceit and the Democrats aim to deceive…. They’ve done pretty well up until now, but the are up against an increasingly informed and politically aware population. The Internet and the vast wealth of information and communication available to the ordinary person is uncovering the Dems past deceptions, while their current violence exposes them for what they are….. This fascist behavior of the Dems and that of their cronies will get worse the more they fail too.

Trump defeating Hillary has shown them that their future is bleak. After 8 years of Obama the Democrat party found itself a spent force in political numbers. Lacking Governors, lacking States, lacking senators and out of office to a political outsider like Donald Trump…. oh, the humanity!

These people and their political party are at rock bottom…. Makes them dangerous.

The point behind my dodgy parasite/bacteria metaphor upthread, was that we have allowed these parasites to gain a deep hold, therefore we need not only to deal with the consequences of this, but also examine how we can prevent them from gaining a hold again, once/if they are flushed from the system.

It’s the USA, people have a constitutional right to speech and expression. Just because a bunch of azzholes march (with permits I might add) doesn’t mean Americans should flush their constitution down the toilet.

They embrace violence. All of this is openly available information.

You’re a fucking lying PoS. The azzholes were marching and chanting as per their permit and pre-plans with the local cops. IT WAS THE ARRIVAL OF ANTIFA WITHOUT A PERMIT TO COUNTER PROTEST THAT STARTED THE VIOLENCE FROM BOTH SIDES. The cops herded the azzholes directly into the path of Antifa, that’s what started the violence. IT WAS ALL PLANNED BY THE LOCAL DEMOCRAT GOVERNMENT. THEY WANTED THIS VIOLENCE, THEY GOT IT.
Being a Nazi azzhole is not illegal in the US. Turning up to a lawful protest without a permit IS.

By the way, who decides what is common decency, you? Judging by your comments, I’d rather believe you’re a prick, not decent at all, but I’ll bet you think you are a decent fellow eh? Do you see where this takes us? Fuckwit.

It’s so cute when Alt-leftards who believe their own bullshit post here.

So, alt-leftard, please give us your pearls of wisdom about the marvelous way Obama toasted BLM and hosted them at the White House after a BLM terrorist murdered 5 US policemen.

Staggering hypocrisy on your part, of course, and you are demonstrably too stupid to even realise it.

You do realise that you have just publicly stated that as a member of the alt-left you support thuggery, street violence, violent shutting down any speech you do not agree with, open racism, murder, domestic terrorism and ethnic cleansing? Just like the woman who died when a loon gave you alt-left some of your own back.

    His name was Hans-Ulrich Rudel.

The limp-wristed pathetic losers mincing about pretending to national socialists (Antifa being the largest and best-funded thanks to Soros, himself an actual collaborator with actual National Socialists), are just the usual howling window-licking retarded socialist vermin you find in any alt-left dominated sewer.

Out of a crowd of 1200 people, there were 30 who came as Neo Nazi’s waving the swastika flag. They were not invited. The fake media plastered images of that small group everywhere, and claim the entire rally is a neo-nazi march. There was also no KKK there, but the media plastered images of a Klan rally from 3 months ago, pretending it was from this rally.

If you keep repeating this bullshit, then you are either a liar, or you are so dumb and easily propagandized.

You may as well say the Democrat party supports genociding 100 million people, because at every rally they do a small group waves Soviet flags and wears Che Guevara t-shirts.

Ivan, what Monty says is essentially true. The leadership of both parties may have renounced racism (that’s what you linked to in the NRO article). But the voting base did not, they just switched parties. That’s what Nixon tapped into with his Southern Strategy.

Up until the 60s’s the Democrats were the party of Slavery, the KKK, white only immigration, protectionism & nationalism. The Republicans were for immigration, cosmopolitanism, free(er) international trade, globalism and Liberalism. The parties quickly switched in the 60’s.

In Australia we had the same phenomenon with the Australian Labor party, who until the 60’s was for the white Australia policy, no immigration, protectionism and nationalism.

The Republicans never diminish government. Indeed, since Nixon, they are the most statist party, despite their lying rhetoric.

With a little bit of luck, Trump will end up destroying the Republican Party, which is held together by chewing gum and bailing wire. Its disparate elements have very little in common with each other. The neocons, the evangelical Christians, the social conservatives and people who think they support the free market are there only for lack of a better alternative. They really have nothing in common except a dislike of the Democratic Party.

The Republican Party is pure evil (just like the Democratic Party). It is truly the party of Lincoln. It cannot be reformed. It cannot be taken over. It cannot be turned around. It cannot be made libertarian. It cannot be restored. It cannot be returned to its roots. (Why would anyone want to return it to its roots anyway?) It should be abandoned like a ship on fire that is sinking. There are no real differences between the Republican and Democratic Parties when it comes to foreign policy, the size and scope of government, the Constitution, individual liberty, private property, or the free market.
The only limited government Republicans desire is a government limited to one controlled by Republicans.
Republicans are welfare/warfare statists just like the Democrats.

They are crooks and liars—just like the Democrats.

When will conservative Americans stop believing the lie that Republicans are better than Democrats or not as bad as Democrats?

Southern generals led about 400,000 young men to their deaths in a vain attempt to defend slavery. That’s the bottom line. Textbooks have it right. The South seceded on one basis alone: the defense of chattel slavery. That was not why Lincoln invaded, but that’s why South Carolina seceded. The rest of the South followed South Carolina’s lead.

Hi Max, have you ever checked out Lew Rockwell’s blog?

    https://www.lewrockwell.com/2011/04/thomas-dilorenzo/the-official-one-and-only-pc-cause-of-the-civil-war/

Everything about this politically-correct fantasy is patently false, regardless of how many times it is repeated in the New York Times and Washington Post. Some Southern politicians did indeed defend slavery, but not as strongly as Abraham Lincoln did in his first inaugural address, where he supported the enshrinement of Southern slavery explicitly in the U.S. Constitution (the “Corwin Amendment”) for the first time ever. Coming from the president of the United States, this was the strongest defense of slavery ever made by an American politician.

    THE BUREAUCRATIZATION OF AMERICA

The greatest single threat to liberty in the West is what it has been for at least a century: the expansion of administrative law. This system is extending the power of central governments into every nook and cranny of the West. Bureaucracies have created administrative law courts that have been substituted for civil courts all over the West. Bureaucratic agencies provide their own judges. They serve as their own juries. Then they execute the laws that they have interpreted autonomously. This process is well developed, and it appears to be irresistible. It is the overturning of the Western legal tradition, as described by Harold Berman in his Introduction to Law and Revolution (1983).

This process is relentless. It is not affected by politics. It is protected in the United States by Civil Service rules. All over the West, comparable protections exist. These people are tenured. They cannot be fired. Their word is the law. This system is manifested in the United States by the Federal Register, which publishes over 80,000 pages of fine-print regulations every year.

The mail I have from friends in rural Georgia (US) is that vigilante groups are arming and organising themselves to protect the symbols of the Confederacy from the vandals.

Getting the same from ex-military friends in Texas, Pedro. What’s getting them angry is that in 1958, as part of the reconciliation process, Confederate soldiers were formally made US military veterans.

As late as 2013, pensions were still being paid to widows of Confederate veterans (usually very young women who married these guys in the 1940s-50s)

The alt-left have no idea of what they are doing. I hope the morons realise this and cool it.

    U.S. Public Law 85-425: Sec. 410 Approved 23 May 1958
(US Statutes at Large Volume 72, Part 1, Page 133-134)

The Administrator shall pay to each person who served in the military or naval forces of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War a monthly pension in the same amounts and subject to the same conditions as would have been applicable to such person under the laws in effect on December 31, 1957, if his service in such forces had been service in the military or naval forces of the United States.

This final act of reconciliation was made almost one hundred years after the beginning of the war and was meant as symbolism more than substantive reward.

Under current U.S. Federal Code, Confederate Veterans are equivalent to Union Veterans.

U.S. Code Title 38 – Veterans’ Benefits, Part II – General Benefits, Chapter 15 – Pension for Non-Service-Connected Disability or Death or for Service, Subchapter I – General, § 1501. Definitions:

    (3) The term “Civil War veteran” includes a person who served in the military or naval forces of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War, and the term “active military or naval service” includes active service in those forces.

So each Confederate memorial being attacked is actually an attack on the memorials of US military veterans. And that community of not at all happy about that, for reasons obvious to military and ex-military types.

This will not end well if those SJW idiots do not cool it.

All Kates has done is drag to catallaxyfiles a bunch of extremists and retrobates and ruined what was once a wonderful blog. The comments on Kates writings are by weirdos and crazies. It is time all thinking persons stand up against this extreme right agenda. It has no place in our society.

Muzzle: how do you masturbate and type at the same time?

  121. Yohan

Yohan: again selective. In case you missed the explicit point: you come on my front lawn with nazi flags I will shove it up your arse. Plain and simple. Now get on with your limp dick equivocation.

Oh so we are changing the terms of this debate eh? This ‘Nazi’ rally was pre-planned, held in a public space, with a permit. We are not talking about people invading your front lawn.

    Seig Heil.

  126. Yohan

Now I know that Kates should be ignored. He is defending Nazis and racists and that is shameful. There is no moral equivalence here and it is the duty of all people to fight fascism and ostracise those like Kates who want to tolerate the intolerable. It is absolutely deplorable and I condemn Kates totally. He is an afront to human civilisation and his views about Trump and the extreme right are outrageous,

This is utterly outrageous. Where has Kates ever defended Nazis and racists?

Oh wait, I know, you heard on the news that Trump defended Nazi’s and racists right? And because Kates is defending Trumps appropriate response, this must mean Kates defends Nazi’s and racists too.

This is the deductive thinking process of the media brainwashed moron.

One of the statues that the antifa vandals tried to destroy is in Atlanta Georgia, a city that probably suffered more from the The War of Northern Aggression than any other in the United States.

It is the Atlanta Peace Memorial, depicting the Angel of Peace hovering over a Confederate soldier to tell him to lay down his arms.

A beautiful statue, devoted to reconciliation and peace, and these arseholes tried to destroy it.

I have no need for the practice that is so beloved by English Schoolboys. I happen to have a pleasant aquaintence with a “female (((Cosmopolitan)))” who seem to find it amusing to wrap her chops around my manhood or, as it seems to amuse her to give it that semitic vernacular appellation “schl0ng” . She really is an amusing plaything and I feel not suitable for indentured labour for the furtherance of the Fatherland. I am sure she would be of more service to the Reich as a worthy of my houshold staff.

Me too. I know Cantwells form quite well and have been following the progress of this facinating skien of social metamorphosis. Will it give rise to viable resistance ? Who knows. Cantwell as you are probably aware is on the verge of a breakdown. He is under arrest on probably false charges. He strikes me as a dreamer and a LAARPER and a man who’s mouth is just a bit ahead of his brain. Not that it matters but personally I have a soft spot for his vulnerability. He is like the cat in the adage. He knows nothing of war but basks in dreams of glory. He is a dangerous man and in times of war he is usually sacrificed as a martyr to the enemy to the great relief of his comrades. Who know what will happen with him? He just is not a man I would follow into combat or want him anywhere close in a situation that required having a modicum of sense. We will see.

Someone should erect a statute of Antifa and BLM heros pulling down a confederate statue and see if Antifa and BLM heros come and pull that down too.

If you are going to have a senseless war at least you could spare future generations of History students the tedium by making it as comical as possible.

I must dips my lid to you Marcus. I do not frequent the Cat and only dip in when a subject that interests me is discussed. I dont pretend to any intellectual pretentions but I have seen some shit posting in my time and you Sir are a figure of some stature. I normally couldnt be fagged with brainless troll. “Defender of the Faith” indeed. I open up on them and the roll up the window and drive on by after whimpering “wanker” and then hitting the gas. You are all over the blighter at once , gosh you remind me of my far off and happy youth pig sicking for sport in the jungles of Indochina. You are able to elevate a simple fundamental but loathesome task of hygiene into a joyfull, uplifting and amusing interlude.
Many thanks kind gentlman. You have lightened my burden to day and in adition gifted me a reason to both smile and laugh.

    Wishing you well Muzz.

In full honour and commemoration of the dedication to duty, the bravery and the sacrifice displayed on There needs to be a monument erected to the men, women and abstainers of the glorious Charlottesville Police Department in honour of thier contribution to the Rule of Law, the Constitution of these United States and thier sworn duty to Protect and Serve the Citizens of this great nation. On Sunday the 14 of August an historical controversy arose in the struggle between competing contentions and ideas in the mix and mess that is the grist of the wellspring of Democracy and the fundamental recognition that we do not exist as an Administration tantamount to tyrany.

On this day this challenge to our Democracy was met by the CPD, under the gaze of an expectant nation with coffee and donuts.

And so might I make so bold as to suggest, nay to, insist that the efforts of dilligence and the spirit of service these men and women have displayed are immortalised by casting a monument that should stand as an inspiration to future generations.

during the Cold War the greatest defenders of mutual coexistence with Russia – that is, appeasement – were Democrats.

You mean Harry Truman and Lindon Johnson were appeasers? I think the biggest appeaser was Nixon.

    Fantasy world.

  137. BorisG

Let us of course not forget that it was the far left of Socialism that buddied up with the far right of Socialism for a few years until they turned on each other (as Socialists always do) because after thieving and stealing what didn’t belong to them (as Socialists always do) and believing they were winning, the far right of Socialism decided it wanted what the far left of Socialism had. It doesn’t matter if you’re a far right Socialist or a far left Socialist, you’re always a thief.

This is all correct but painting today’s Democrats or ALP for that matter in the same colour is a bit of a stretch.

Goodness me Boris ! It might be wise to monitor an unusual increase in the thickness of the flocks of scavenging birds of prey circling overhead. You might want to breath on the mirrors, so that they may take on a momementarily persistant film of mist, in preparation for the visit of a less than optomistic acquaintce in the medical industry. You know how easily these misunderstandings arise. Best not leave these sorts of notions in play, as it were.

Oh and having wished you a very vivacious welcome and all round hail fellow well met. Now we should let the stimulating conversation begin?

What , if I may not put too finer point on this matter, is your opinion of Solar Eclipses?

    Thank you in anticipation.

… painting today’s Democrats or ALP for that matter in the same colour is a bit of a stretch.

Poor old lefty Boris can’t bring himself to admit the murderousness of his beloved socialism.

Here is an explanation of the fascist national socialist ideology and economic platform of the modern Democratic Party by the guy who has just written a best-selling book about it, Dinesh D’Souza. The whole 35 minutes is riveting, but you can skip forward to 10m45s for D’Souza’s explanation of the current fascist state ideology of the Democratic Party (which is virtually identical to the ALP’s economic platform).

Great point. People get pissed off at how powerful the government is yet they fail to see what it is.

    Hey Dot

Just been thinking about how we here are under constant fascism. My thinking example:
Planning permit requires that the colour of the structure facing the road/street is specified as some colours are forbidden and the bush greens are preferred. Reason is partly to reduce distraction to drivers and offense to others. This is clear fascism – govt control of private affairs/ private industry. Same applies to business signs. (Does not seem to effect the monstrous billboards beside the city freeways – suspect it is allowed there for revenue purposes). Where the purpose of control is anything other than public utility I think that is fascism.
