Next time I have to ask the techies at work to help me with the photocopying I can take consolation in how well I’m doing for a retard.

I think the correct term for a borderline retard is ‘pretard.’ There’s a bit more street cred attached to a pre, though of course not nearly as much as a supertard, which is often abbreviated to ‘suptard?’

The trick is to not press the plunger so hard the whole thing explodes and sprays you with boiling water and coffee grounds.

Is that explosion with or without the glass pot smashing?!

FMD, ABC news in Barcelona exploring the lack of bollards. Maybe Steve Kinnane would be better employed exploring the surfeit of Moozleys*.

Hard nosed journalism on the ABC:

Their nightly news report featured two several minute long separate reports on the Barcelona jihadi attack without once mentioning either “Islam” or “Muslim”.

    It’s a mystery.

MSM just referred to a Terrorist Attack as “Terrorist Activities”.

The same at SBS, though they did manage to squeeze in ‘right wing’.

  8. Boambee John

So Turncoat, Brandis, DGASIO and the Commissioner of the AFP regularly assure us that terrorism is NTDWI. Yet they also demand that we respect the Muslim community, so that it will cooperate in the fight against terrorism.

At first I was confused by this, then I recognised the “cunning plan”. Actually, ASIO and the AFP have used Muslims to infiltrate the extremist Buddhist, Hindu, Bahai and Quaker communities. However, more infiltrators are needed to operate in the Zoroastrian and Shinto communities, and particularly the completely unsupervised Animist and Christian communities, hence the need for many more Islamic immigrants.

It is now completely clear, the scales have fallen from mine eyes!

Do I really need to add //sarc//?

I’ve been trying to find news reports about these resettled families; the majority have featured Muslim families. It’s almost as if the msm doesn’t want you to know that Christians are the most persecuted minority in the ME.

Yep, totally agree. Roger. Strangely, ch7 were up front. The immigrants interviewed even spoke basic Englsh.

You would think impulsivity and clumsyness would breed out of a population Darwinian style pretty quickly.

Just got back from a walk to turtle point and took pix to prove it. Some we’re surfing on the potty little waves that get over the reef. Lots of white bikini clad girls with brown blokes and a few white blokes with brown skinned gals. And lots of children, all brown, frequently screaming with excitement. The bikinied chicks all looked miserable for some reason.

    But no turtles.

I have been watching a lot of Jesse Lee Peterson Fallen State videos lately.
First linked here by Srr, I believe.
    Very interesting fellow.
He has this spiel about anger.
He says that anger comes from men’s mothers, especially single mothers. And you need to forgive your parents as a first step towards eliminating anger.
Claims to not feel anger anymore, and that anger and emotion are female attributes.
I’m not so sure about that. Maybe there are male types of anger and female types of anger.
It seems to me the male type of anger be a useful spur to action.
Whereas the female type is more associated with resentment.
I don’t think I would want to live life entirely without the capacity for anger.
The problem is when you have it all the damn time or without any impulse control.

    You talking to me cockhead?

    Grammar!

When asking a question, commas are essential, Bird.

You are asking if someone is talking to you, with a splendid old Australian invective being used as a descriptor of your interlocutor. So you write: “You talking to me, cockhead?”

    Note the comma.

If you write; “You talking to me cockhead?” then you are actually asking if the interlocutor is having a conversation with the end of your penis. Now, if the interlocutor is Milo Yiannoupolis (and you are a black guy), and you have both been on the turps, then there may be a great deal of reality in that conversation.

But not in this case, I suspect.

    Remember, use commas!

Of course I always agree with FDOTM, but I also feel that at the moment we have far bigger fish to fry.
None of us should be under any illusions re: the utterly predictable reactions of reactionaries.
If we’re going to wipe out the bad things in society, what we need at this particular moment are sensible strategies to divert highly suggestible people away from the extremely bad electoral choices they will inevitably make should we give News Ltd enough fuel for its fires. These are people who are so diverted from reality that they predictably and wilfully vote against their own best interests time and time again over frankly piffling (and usually racist) “outrages” that Murdoch has conflated into election winning issues.
There was a time when what FDOTM is suggesting could have been done with relative ease – but that was over 30 years ago now. At this moment (IMO) we have climate change and fire ants as the absolute most important situations* we in Australia should be addressing immediately if reality isn’t going to make action on things like monuments to racists frankly a pretty trifling moot point.
    * Ask yourself if something is a situation, or an issue. If something’s an issue, no matter how urgent, we need to deal with the situation first.
Also – I don’t answer right wing trolls, so don’t bother. Get a life instead, sad little white man.

    And

Or, as they are referred to in polite company, Mean Grrlz.

  89. Remember, when Abbott says that SS’M’ is about political correctness and gender ideology, he is right:

If you had argued pre-Obergefell that de-sexing marriage would lead to drag queens leading preschool storytime in public libraries and public schools hounded into hiding their mandatory sex ed curriculum from parents after a settlement requiring trans-friendly “education” starting in kindergarten, you would have been called an unhinged bigot. How could what two consenting adults do privately have any effect on whether five-year-olds are told they should consider cutting off their penises? Preposterous. Fear-mongering. Wild-eyed insanity.
Or not. Rod Dreher’s “Law of Merited Impossibility” strikes again: “It will never happen, and when it does, you bigots will deserve it.” As I’ve written before, Obergefell and related caselaw, which are still developing, are turning out not to be about what consenting adults do privately. They are the spear tip of a wholesale shift in law that is already negatively affecting children, because at its heart is the principle that sexuality is genderless.

This is likely why the transgender movement is targeting the young: They are vulnerable and impressionable, prepuberty pose better as either sex and therefore look less terrifying than adult transgenders, and once locked into the trans body morph will never truly be able to escape. Devastated people are prime candidates for exploitation by their pretend advocates. Also, locking in trans-policies now is a way to preclude debate before more extensive data and personal experience can fuel the inevitable backlash.

Of course this is bad for kids, but it’s not about kids. They’re just pawns, as usual. It’s about politics. Pushing transgenderism not only destabilizes a key component of a child’s identity but also contributes to early sexualization that is linked with mental illness and risky behaviors. Early exposure to and lack of clear parental direction about sex is also linked with increased gender confusion, which is precisely what we’re seeing as clinics for cutting and pasting children’s hormones and body parts explode inside a media environment that glamorizes this form of child abuse.

It includes several other provisions that require a health facility, for example, to honor the gender identity of a patient, meaning that the patient must be admitted to a room that comports with his or her chosen gender; allowed to use whatever bathroom he or she wants to use; and wear whatever clothing or cosmetics he or she decides to wear. It has gone through several amendments.

CBN News notes: “Fines for repeat offenders could be as high as $1,000 and a jail term of up to a year.”

    THE VIOLENT LEFT
    UNDERSTANDING CHARLOTTESVILLE: ANTIFA AND AGITPROP
Exclusive: Jack Cashill explains ‘script of engagement’ strategy meant to incite ‘crazies’

To understand the events in Charlottesville, it helps to know how the left operates. During the 2016 campaign, veteran Democratic operative Scott Foval unwittingly shared the left’s playbook with anyone who cared to see.

Foval explained his strategy to an undercover journalist with James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. He boasted specifically about the art of provoking violence at Trump rallies, all of which was recorded on camera.

“There’s a script of engagement,” said Foval. “Sometimes the crazies bite, and sometimes the crazies don’t bite.”

He continued, “They’re starting conversations in the line. Right? They’re not starting confrontations in the rally. Because once they’re inside the rally they’re under Secret Service’s control.”

The “they” in question are the provocateurs Foval’s people planted to agitate the crowd. Some were seasoned operatives like the union thugs Democrats have employed for years. “They’ll do whateeeevvverrr you want,” said Foval.

Others were clueless human cannon fodder. “I’m saying we have mentally ill people that we pay to do s–t,” Foval bragged. “Make no mistake. Over the last 20 years, I’ve paid off a few homeless guys to do some crazy stuff.”

Foval understood that this strategy worked only because the media wanted it to work. “The media will cover it no matter where it happens,” he stated. “The key is initiating the conflict by having leading conversations with people who are naturally psychotic.”

“I mean, honestly, it is not hard to get some of these a–holes to pop off,” he elaborated. “It is a matter of showing up, to want to get into the rally in ‘Planned Parenthood’ T-shirts or ‘Trump is a Nazi,’ you know. You can message to draw them out, and draw them to punch you.”

This is not a strategy Foval improvised for the campaign. The “script of engagement” dates back to at least the 1920s when the Soviets/Russians first started meddling in American politics.

The occasion then was the ongoing saga of Sacco and Vanzetti, a pair of Italian anarchists who received a fair trial for a murder committed during a payroll robbery and were convicted.

Guilty or not, the Soviet Comintern stirred up massive worldwide agitation on their behalf. Sympathetic liberal writers flocked to the cause and reported events as scripted by the Comintern. This combination of agitation and propaganda came to be known as “agitprop.”

Agitprop was clearly the name of the game at Charlottesville on Saturday. The script of engagement called for the counter-protesters to stoke the “crazies” on the right, knowing well that the media would report events in the left’s favor.

Embedded among the counter-protesters, many of them innocent liberals, were the hardcore bully boys of Antifa. The Neo-Nazis were a self-deluding relic of the past, but Antifa may well be the vanguard of the future.

Although the American media are inclined to protect Antifa, the BBC proved much more forthright in its coverage.

“Antifa is anti-government and anti-capitalist, and their methodologies are often perceived as more closely aligned with anarchists than the mainstream left,” wrote the BBC’s Brenna Cameron.

“Antifa does not shy away from militant protest methods, including the destruction of property and sometimes physical violence. They were present at the 2017 Berkeley protests of far-right speaker Milo Yiannopoulos and at violent protests against Donald Trump’s inauguration; they were also present at Charlottesville.”

Cameron added the obvious, “Unlike the mainstream left, they do not seek to gain power through traditional channels – winning elections and passing bills into law.”

Lenin referred to the well-intended progressives who flocked to his cause as “useful idiots.” For him, they were pure pawns, totally expendable once they ceased to be useful. On Saturday, unfortunately, they served the same purpose for Antifa.

At Charlottesville, Antifa succeeded in stoking at least one crazy. For reasons still not fully established, he drove his car into a crowd of protesters, killed one seemingly innocent liberal and wounded several others.

I doubt if Antifa expected any fatalities, but I suspect they were thrilled there was one, especially since the woman killed was one of their own young innocents.

That’s the way agitprop works. Look for more of it.

Speculation that Fox News — whose ratings dominance has been emasculated by the clueless leftoid Mudrock kiddies — will have a new competitor on the right has been turbocharged by Steve Bannon’s departure from the White House:

Former Chief White House Strategist and current executive chairman of Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, is wasting no time in expanding the leading populist news network. Bannon is reportedly plotting a television channel to rival Fox News. Strikingly, the idea was first proposed by former Fox News CEO, the late Roger Ailes.

Axios’ Jonathan Swan [ex-Fakefacts Sydney zombie] hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.

Bannon’s friends are speculating about whether it will be a standalone TV network, or online streaming only.

Before his death in May, Roger Ailes had sent word to Bannon that he wanted to start a channel together. Bannon loved the idea: He believes Fox is heading in a squishy, globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power.

Now he has the means, motive and opportunity: His chief financial backer, Long Island hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer, is ready to invest big in what’s coming next, including a huge overseas expansion of Breitbart News.

Before Roger Ailes’ death on May 18, he expressed a final wish to some of his few remaining confidants: to get back in the game, with a conservative network that would position itself to the right of Fox News, as his baby became more moderate under the next generation of Murdoch leadership.

In his final days, Ailes sent a message to Steve Bannon in the White House that he’d love to team up on a new conservative media powerhouse.

Steve Bannon returned ‘home’ to Breitbart News as Executive Chairman Friday afternoon shortly after it was announced that he departed from the White House as Chief Strategist to President Trump.

Steve Bannon returned to Breitbart on Friday and chaired the company’s evening editorial meeting.

Fox News was a licence to print money under Ailes, racking up annual profits of more than $1 billion p.a. and the Mudrock kiddies’ decision to steer the network left is costing it money and credibility. It still leads the US cable ratings, but the margin has been slashed since the left’s hit on Bill O’Reilly (forced off air by the scum’s current favoured route — the unproven allegation, which the Mudrock kiddies’ lawyers wouldn’t defend). O’Reilly — currently self-publishing a TV show on his website — is a monty to be chief talking head on Bannon’s new project.

    Serious question.
How many here have looked at this quote:

“Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.” – H.L. Mencken

And seriously, and with intent, thought: ‘that is a damned good idea.’

    Every day.

But the power to act only comes once you have committed to a course of action.

Once you truly decide ‘enough is enough’, only then will you cross a line and get busy drafting a plan.

Next our pirate will need, a ship, a crew, weapons, food, water, charts, a safe island, spies, and gold.

Finally, when our pirate is ready to set sail, he will stand on the quarter deck to address the sailors,

“Many promised to sail with us today, but did not come. Some, by circumstance, could not. Do not hold their absence against them. Others who spoke bravely are absent but without cause. They are cowards and hypocrites and we are better off without them.

    However, we are here.

We stand together of our own free will. We were neither bribed not pressed into service. We are free people defending our freedom and the freedom of our families. That is the source of our strength.

Now, we might live or we might die, that future I cannot see. But understand this, we will fight, and fight, and fight until our enemies flee, beaten and ashamed. And we will win. That is all we expect of ourselves.

Now cast off and may God have mercy on our souls.

Facebook threat forces cancellation of free speech event at Ryerson: Jordan Peterson

Ryerson University has cancelled a “free speech on campus” event after activists on Facebook threatened violent disruption, University of Toronto Professor Jordan Peterson says.

Peterson, whose criticism of political correctness — and especially genderless pronouns — has attracted international attention, was one of a panel of experts speaking at The Stifling of Free Speech on University Campuses.

A Facebook page, entitled “No Fascists in Our City!,” says the university is hosting a “bigoted event featuring some of the most bigoted folks around right now as panelists.

“This s— stops now. Either you’re with us or you’re not … We are beyond pschyed,” it says in an invitation to the like-minded to join them at the event.

Peterson suspects that Ryerson’s decision to cancel the free speech event was likely due to the Facebook message.

“It’s not pretty and it’s exactly the kind of careless dialogue that is producing, that is contributing in no small part, to this increasingly dangerous state of polarization that we seem to be confronted with,” Peterson said.

Ryerson University spokesman Michael Forbes said in a statement that a sessional instructor booked space for the event on Aug. 22.

“After a thorough security review, the university has concluded that Ryerson is not equipped to provide the necessary level of public safety for the event to go forward,” Forbes said. The statement did not specifically refer to the Facebook page.

Here’s what Peterson has to say:

•Do you have any sympathy for Ryerson’s position?

“I have some sympathy with Ryerson’s concerns even though I may not trust their motivations. But to shut it down also means there’s no opportunity for dialogue. And the fact that it was shut down also fuels the fire of the radical right who look at something like that and say, ‘It’s no bloody wonder that we’re taking the stance that we’re taking.’ And that’s not helpful … It certainly doesn’t eliminate the underlying surreal reality of the cancellation by a university on a talk about the cancellation of talks by universities.”

•Do you think those actions are motivated more by the horrific events in Charlottesville that saw a counter-protester allegedly killed by a white supremacist?

“There’s a time and a place for everything, and I think there’s much to be said for the fact that it’s identity politics that fuelled what happened in Charlottesville but that’s not the appropriate topic for the week. The appropriate topic is how about (that) white supremacists don’t kill anyone.”

•What do you think of President Donald Trump’s much-criticized comments about Charlottesville protesters and fault?

“It’s not time for a nuanced analysis about who’s at fault for the current state of political polarization. It’s time for an unequivocal denouncement of the events in Charlottesville.”

•What do you think is the current state of free speech, especially after Charlottesville?

“I don’t think it’s exactly a setback for free speech. I wouldn’t characterize it that way … I think what happened in Charlottesville is just another step on the road to the kind of polarization that produces conflict instead of conversation. That’s why I thought protecting free speech was so necessary to begin with because if you can’t talk to people with whom you disagree, then either you capitulate to them or you fight with them. Those are the only options.”

DOJ Ends Political War on Gunshops, 1762
    The Still Report
    Aug 19, 2017

Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on: DOJ Ends Political War on Gunshops, 1762

Synopsis: The Department of Justice has killed a long hated program that discriminated against gun shops by choking off their financing with their banks.

The Obama era program was known as operation chokepoint.

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd called the program:”A misguided initiative conducted during the previous administration.”

The program sought to interfere and ultimately cut off the banking relationships of gun related retail outlets and manufacturers. That’s why it was called chokepoint.

Furthermore, the DOJ went on to say that it would no longer engage in investigations motivated solely by political preferences, and specifically said it would no longer target the financial dealings of otherwise lawful short term lending and firearms industries.

The move came about after the Community Financial Services Association of America was recently granted a discovery request in a lawsuit against the FDIC which was helping to implement the operation chokepoint program.

Small cells, preferably comprised of individuals well known to each other, but still carefully vetted, are the way to go. I was wondering when we would hit “peak stupidity”, could this possibly be it?

In today’s competitive grievance culture, unearthing new sorrows, or reheating old sorrows, can require prodigious, indeed bewildering, feats of contortion. And so, in the pages of The Atlantic, we find one Alice Ristroph railing at the heavens. First, a little context:

On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will arrive mid-morning on the coast of Oregon. The moon’s shadow will be about 70 miles wide, and it will race across the country faster than the speed of sound, exiting the eastern seaboard shortly before 3pm local time.

Clouds permitting, it should be quite a thing to witness.

It has been dubbed the Great American Eclipse, and along most of its path, there live almost no black people.

There we go. If that one caught you off guard, here’s another:

As the eclipse approaches, the temperature will fall and birds will roost, and then, suddenly, the lights will go out. For each place within the path of totality, the darkness will last a minute, maybe two, and then daylight will return. Oregon, where this begins, is almost entirely white. The 10 percent or so of state residents who do not identify as white are predominantly Latino, American Indian, Alaskan, or Asian.

This goes on for some time. It’s an attempt at symbolism, I think. A beverage may be useful.

From Oregon, the eclipse will travel through Idaho and Wyoming… Percentage-wise, Idaho and Wyoming are even whiter than Oregon… The few non-white residents of Idaho and Wyoming are not black — they are mostly Latino, American Indian, and Alaskan.

Perhaps this demographic information is all building to some kind of point, a moment of profundity. Any minute now.

From Kansas, the eclipse goes to Missouri, still mostly bypassing black people.

Surely a contender for The Most Woke Sentence Yet Uttered.

Moving east, the eclipse will pass part of St. Louis, whose overall population is nearly half black. But the black residents are concentrated in the northern half of the metropolitan area, and the total eclipse crosses only the southern half.

If you laughed at that, tittered even, you’re a terrible, terrible person.

Eight miles north of the path of totality is Ferguson, where Officer Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown three summers ago.

Ah, this must be it. Stand ready with the righteous seething.

In Kentucky, Tennessee, and eventually South Carolina, the eclipse will finally pass over black Americans. Even here, though, the path of totality seems to mark the legacy of slavery and the persistence of segregation more than any form of inclusion.

And so we’re told, repeatedly and at length, that for much of its journey, the Moon’s shadow “travels over white people only,” and that the eclipse will “narrowly miss Tryon, the birthplace of Nina Simone.” The point of all this is, even now, somewhat unobvious, not least given the large numbers of people planning to travel across the country to experience the alignment. Beyond, that is, the fact that some people aren’t choosing to live where Professor Ristroph thinks they ought to, and who thinks this while listing historical wrongs and attempting to solicit some pretentious collective guilt for the acts of strangers long dead, thereby signalling the author’s own, all-important moral elevation, and implicitly, her social status. And when there’s an opportunity to experience a bit of cosmic perspective, a moment of possible awe, what you really want is some half-baked racial grievance-mongering to sour that moment and bring you back down to Earth.

Professor Ristroph is of course an educator, a graduate of Harvard.

Cutting Through The Economic Gaslighting – A Simple MAGAnomic Reference…
Posted on August 19, 2017 by sundance

Obviously there’s an awakening happening throughout the U.S. body politic. Proof of that awakening is President Donald Trump. CTH has long held the belief that with information, simple information, the awakening will continue. However, the MSM have a vested interest in keeping ‘simple truth’s‘ wrapped up on complicated linguistics.

    Complication serves their interests.

    https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2017/08/trump-banner-14-lion.jpg

That said, and against the backdrop of the Atlanta Federal Reserve saying the U.S. GDP is on pace for third quarter growth at 4.0 percent. Here’s a reference point to showcase how much the American electorate have been subjected to economic gaslighting by the media.

The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is simply the sum total of all goods and services made, manufactured and delivered in the U.S.A. minus the total value of our imported goods.

When considering economic growth, you may have heard that 4.0 percent or higher GDP growth is impossible. Allow me to remove the gaslighting from that claim.

Hey m0nty, just wait ’til the next Trump Rally (like all of his rallies), and compare those numbers of neat, respectful, smart and loving Trumpsters, against the deranged UN/ANTIFA Mobsters, and then ask yourself why MORE and MORE people are choosing to Side With The Sane, Capable and Productive Trumpsters.

    Nixon sets the record straight
The controversial former police and fire authority chief has hit back at critics, and defended her leadership style.

I note Jane Caro is involved, she’s had a standing start in mediocrity and has written mediocrely and about mediocrity her entire career.

With the carrying on over a death in Charlotte, wait till they find out about the 19 dead in Barcelona. Oh wait.

Munty’s mates operate in a bubble free of any real knowledge of history, this saves them from dying from embarrassment.

Imagine their embarrassment should they ever discover that communism lasted longer than nazism, and killed many more innocents.

Oh, sorry, if communism killed them, then by definition they were not innocent. As one of m0nty’s many predecessors in support of left fascism said, they were just “cockroaches being crushed”.

Nothing like the feeling that they are back in control, even if it does take odds of 200 to one, to bring out the inner Stalin in the m0ntys of this world.

Just about to make a cuppa and go watch the sun yawn. Then see what the day brings.

I hope it brings calm for you Helen and that your mother recovers to live into her nineties. Perhaps that which we fear most and longest is never so bad when it actually happens. I cried hard for my mother and then accepted her death in order to honor her life by organizing her funeral and writing her eulogy. I still cry for her even now, years later, at the oddest times, and over such little things.

I needed a needle and cotton the other day and having misplaced my usual sewing bag (composed mostly of old hotel freebies) I went hunting for it in the back of a cupboard. In there I came across Mum’s neat collection of needles, cotton reels and press studs still in the small and cheap split-edged vinyl container she kept them in. I hadn’t had the heart to throw it away but had forgotten about it. As I opened the lid with its faux embedded tapestry, on top was a flat little fancy pincushion in the shape of an elegant lady’s broad-brimmed hat, and I just collapsed in grief when I thought of her fingers being the last to push in the little pins that were collected stuck into it.

She’d only owned hat of such elegance once, on her wedding day.

Helen and Mayfly have shown us today the true blessings of a sunny morning.
    Thank you both for that.

So what are you saying Mal, don’t say anything about Muslims lest they don’t tell us their plans to blow us up? Didn’t you tell us previously that such people were peaceful and criticism was racist ?
