    McSharry, Terence Patrick (1880–1918)
Enlisting in the Australian Imperial Force on 21 August 1914, McSharry was commissioned lieutenant in the 2nd Light Horse Regiment and embarked on 24 September. The regiment landed at Gallipoli on 12 May 1915, where he was awarded the Military Cross for exceptional bravery and resource.
McSharry was one of the notable A.I.F. battalion commanders in France. To Charles Bean ‘there was no wiser head in the force’. Except when detached to temporarily command the 4th Brigade from 13 to 25 July 1918, he led his battalion for almost two years, an exceptionally long period. He commanded it in the battles of Stormy Trench (January-February 1917), 1st Bullecourt (April), Messines (June), Polygon Wood (September) and in 1918 at Hamel. Four times mentioned in dispatches, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order in June 1917 and was appointed C.M.G. in June 1918. While helping a wounded man to shelter in a bombardment at Vaire-sous-Corbie, on the Somme, McSharry was mortally wounded and died on 6 August 1918. He was buried near Corbie. He was posthumously awarded a Bar to the D.S.O.

Two Chicago cops face probe for ‘taking a knee’ in support of Colin Kaepernick in viral photo

While these cops were knee bending this was happening in Chicago.

Heather Mac Donald writes in her book The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe that in Chicago, IL, blacks committed 76 percent of all homicides, despite composing 35 percent of the city’s population. Blacks also accounted for 78 percent of all juvenile arrests. Whites, who compose 28 percent of the city’s population, committed 4 percent of its homicides and 3.5 percent of its juvenile arrests. Hispanics, who compose 30 percent of the city’s population, committed 19 percent of its homicides and 18 percent of its juvenile arrests. (Another eye-opening fact from Mac Donald’s research is that only 26 percent of murder cases were solved in Chicago.)

Detroit most violent big city in U.S. in 2016: FBI
…According to the FBI’s 2016 Uniform Crime Report, 13,705 violent crimes were reported last year in the city compared with 11,846 in 2015.

However, the former world capital of auto manufacturing can take some solace from the fact it doesn’t lead in murder. That honour falls to St. Louis, followed by Baltimore. Detroit comes in third with 303 slayings in 2016.

And despite mounting concerns over Chicago’s skyrocketing homicide rate, it’s still lower than Detroit (28 per 100,000 residents in the Windy City compared to 45 murders per 100,000 residents in Motown).

But here’s the question: Is the ‘police brutality’ that NFL players are protesting based in reality?

A Justice Department report published in 2001 noted that between 1976 and 1998, the teen and adult population grew by 47 million people, and the number of police officers increased by more than 200,000, yet the number of people killed by police “did not generally rise” over this period. Moreover, a “growing percentage of felons killed by police are white, and a declining percentage are black.” A separate Justice study released in 2011 also reported a decline in killings by police, between 1980 and 2008. And according to figures from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the rate at which police kill blacks has fallen by 70% since the late 1960s.

Chinese Police Order Xinjiang’s Muslims to Hand in All Copies of The Quran

Chinese authorities in the northwestern region of Xinjiang have ordered ethnic minority Muslim families to hand in religious items including prayer mats and copies of the Quran to the authorities, RFA has learned.

Officials across Xinjiang have been warning neighborhoods and mosques that ethnic minority Uyghur, Kazakh and Kyrgyz Muslims must hand in the items or face harsh punishment if they are found later, sources in the region said.

“Officials at village, township and county level are confiscating all Qurans and the special mats used for namaaz [prayer],” a Kazakh source in Altay prefecture, near the border with Kazakhstan told RFA on Wednesday.

“Pretty much every household has a Quran, and prayer mats,” he said.

CATALONIA REFERENDUM LATEST: Madrid pulls out all the stops to block independence vote

SPAIN has launched an all-out assault on the Catalan government with Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, the prosecutor’s office and the judiciary all making moves to block a binding referendum on independence on October 1.
An unprecedented combination of legal action, police deployments and economic sanctions are disrupting the effort to hold the vote which has been declared illegal by Spain’s Constitutional Court.

Police have been sent to hunt down ballot papers and materials related to the referendum, while media organisations have been warned not to broadcast official Catalan campaign advertisements related to the vote.

More than a hundred websites related to the referendum have already been shut down by the authorities.

Madrid has also essentially taken over the regional executive’s finances to ensure that “not a single euro” is spent on the ballot.

Banks have been ordered not to allow money transfers from Catalan government accounts without Madrid’s consent.

Catalonia’s High Court is investigating the entire Catalan Cabinet led by regional President Carles Puigdemont — as well as five regional lawmakers — on charges of disobedience, prevarication, and misuse of public funds.

Another judge in Barcelona is investigating 20 people on the same charges in a case related to the vote that has been placed under judicial secrecy.

Last week, the same judge ordered 41 facilities allegedly connected to the referendum — including six government offices — to be raided in Catalonia.

In the operation, authorities temporarily detained more than a dozen Catalan officials, prompting thousands of people to the streets to protest.

Computers and data belonging to organisers of the referendum are understood to have been confiscated.

The prosecutor’s office at Spain’s High Court submitted a penal complaint on charges of sedition — punishable by up to 10 years in prison — for the protests that day.

It is unclear if any Catalan officials will end up in prison but an investigative judge warned the criminal justice system was difficult mechanism to stop once it had started to roll.

National police forces from across Spain have been sent to Catalonia in anticipation of potential unrest in the streets.

They will be ordered to shut down polling stations if the Catalan regional police — the Mossos — are unable or unwilling to do so.

Madrid is in full crisis mode with Mr Rajoy expected to skip the European Union’s informal summit in Tallinn this week to concentrate on Catalonia.

And while ministers believe the infrastructure required to hold the referendum to has been “dismantled” few feel the crisis is near an end.

Hundreds of thousands of Catalans are expected to take to the streets on Sunday to try and cast a ballot.

And the sheer scale of the measures the Spanish state has put in place provides an indication of the seriousness with which it views the conflict.

Melbourne households paying $312 more for electricity than in 2010: ABS study

FAMILIES in Melbourne are now paying $312 more to power and warm their homes each year than they did in 2010, according to new data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Cost-of-living figures released on Friday in the ABS Household Expenditure Survey have revealed spending is on the rise for education, childcare and energy

In the Victorian capital, the average weekly household spend on electricity, gas, heating oil and wood has risen from $36.90 in 2009-10 to $46.69 in 2015-16. After inflation, this equates to an increase of $6 per week, or $312 a year.

In total the average household energy budget in Melbourne in 2015-16 was $2427.90 — higher than Sydney ($2078.40) and Brisbane ($1829.40).

ONE OF AUSTRALIA’S RICHEST CITIZENS IS PREPARING TO TAKE ON BIG TOBACCO

ONE of Australia’s richest people is secretly preparing legal action to sue “big tobacco” for potentially billions of dollars on behalf of smokers as part of an unprecedented “assault” on the industry.

Philanthropist and iron ore magnate Andrew Forrest, whose charity organisation Minderoo Foundation was behind the introduction of the cashless welfare debit card in Aboriginal communities, is privately seeking legal advice from some of Australia’s most expensive QCs.

“To tackle cancer, we must also tackle what is behind the single greatest cause of preventable death and is the basis for 30 per cent of all cancers — tobacco. Thus, any effort to reduce the burden of cancer must include tobacco prevention and cessation,” Mr Forrest said.

New federal electoral boundaries proposed for Queensland
    Matthew Killoran, The Courier-Mail
    September 30, 2017 12:00am
    Subscriber only
BOUNDARIES for more than half of Queensland’s federal electorates will be shifted in a minor shake-up proposed by the electoral commission.

There are no new seats being created, or existing ones removed, as seen in recent redistributions in Victoria, South Australia and the ACT.

It is part of a broader move by the Australian Electoral Commission which will see the overall size of the House increase from 150 to 151 seats.

The three most marginal seats in Australia – Herbert, Forde and Capricornia – are all in Queensland but will remain largely untouched.

There are no changes to Herbert, which was won by Labor by just 37 votes, or Forde which is held by the LNP with a margin of less than 1 per cent.

Capricornia gains some area from nearby Dawson.

Minor boundary changes are also proposed for Blair, Brisbane, Dickson, Fairfax, Fisher, Hinkler, Kennedy, Moncrieff, Moreton, Oxley and Ryan.

Electoral Commissioner Tom Rogers said by September 2021, the enrolment totals for 11 of the 30 Queensland electoral divisions would not meet the requirements.

“The proposed changes reflect the differing rates of population and enrolment growth across Queensland, as well as taking into account the projected enrolment in the 30 electoral divisions through to 27 September 2021.”

Under the larger redistribution, SA will lose a seat, while Victoria and the ACT gain one.

Objections to the proposed boundaries are open until October 27 for the AEC to finalise the new boundaries by March next year.

AUSTRALIA’S BIGGER, OLDER ‘SANDWICH GENERATION’ CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY AT HOME

    EXCLUSIVE

AUSTRALIA’S sandwich generation — people squeezed financially and emotionally by ageing parents and children who won’t leave home — is expanding and growing older fast.

Fresh population data paints a picture of households under pressure at a time they should be aggressively saving for retirement, and analysts and advisers expect the situation to worsen.

Dramatic falls in home ownership for young people, cost of living pressures, an ageing population and government moves to keep seniors out of nursing homes are forcing more Generation Xers and Baby Boomers to give extra care to their families.

“It’s no longer a 30 to 40 year old being sandwiched — it’s more likely a 50-something,” said social researcher Mark McCrindle.

THE price of more than 1400 medicines including the nation’s biggest selling drug the anticholesterol pill atorvastatin will plunge in price from Sunday.

The price cuts are due to the government’s price disclosure process that monitors the discounts chemists get on medicine prices and reduces the amount the Pharmaceutical Benefits subsidy scheme pays for them.

    Twiggy claims:

and is the basis for 30 per cent of all cancers — tobacco.

Rubbish. What is his source for this? Besides, I thought that alcohol and obesity were “responsible” for vast numbers of cancers. I guess it depends which lobby group has the microphone this week.

Cancer is overwhelmingly age-related. The longer you live, the more likely you are to get it, and the vast majority of people with cancers of all types are over 50, irrespective of their personal habits, environmental exposures and all the other fashionable bugaboos that the nannies are so fond of citing. They use dodgy epidemiological “studies” to make up these junk science numbers. If you add all the claims together, a non-smoking vegetarian teetotaller of normal weight would be immune from cancer, which is manifestly not true. Apparently, genetics is irrelevant as well.

Certain things are known to trigger certain cancers, but not in every (or even most) instances, and different cancers are in fact different diseases altogether.

Twiggy seems to have gone full SJW in recent years, despite the outcomes of his chest-beating being minimal. I have not heard glowing reports of how his Aboriginal employment crusade has transformed the miserable existence of almost every indigenous community in WA, for example.

Is he striving for secular sainthood, or what?

Dr Michael Crawford has forwarded another interesting letter to fryenbergger which includes:

Dishonest and misleading – and no warranties
In a detailed letter to Dr Finkel in June, none of which he has repudiated, I pointed out that his
document appeared to breach section 137.1(1) of the Criminal Code Act 1995, in relation to
giving false or misleading information to someone exercising powers of the Commonwealth
    Government.
AEMO and its American CEO have avoided this risk, not by being markedly less misleading
than Dr Finkel, but rather by covering the report with caveats. The very first page has a
    disclaimer telling you that:
“AEMO and its officers, employees and consultants involved in the preparation of
    this document:
    • make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the currency,
    accuracy, reliability or completeness of the information in this document;
    and
    • are not liable (whether by reason of negligence or otherwise) for any
statements or representations in this document, or any omissions from it, or
for any use or reliance on the information in it.”

In multiple places throughout the document there are repeated statements about the
    uncertainties.

So you have a report that AEMO is willing for you to rely on but AEMO will not guarantee
its accuracy and will take no responsibility if it turns out to be wrong and you waste a few
billion dollars more, or the power goes out more often or earlier than they suggest at various
    points.
As you read the document you were probably impressed to see many figures with an
appearance of great accuracy, frequently with 3, 4, or even 5 significant digits. I hope when
you read them you kept remembering that caveat up front, that AEMO makes no warranty “as
to the currency, accuracy, reliability or completeness” of that information.
Hopefully you know the Australian vernacular phrase for such statements, so I won’t spell it
    out here.

Interesting discussion on ye old fredde about the movie Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy which was on TV last night.

I watched it for the first time. I thought it was pretty good, considering that it is a necessarily very condensed adaptation of the book. The brilliant 1979 mini-series had the luxury of seven hour-long episodes, and stuck very closely to the original text. Plus, of course, it had the sublime Alec Guinness in top form and an immaculate supporting cast. Have watched the mini-series several times, and will again. It really is spectacularly good.

It’s difficult to fit Le Carre’s spy novels into a movie format, because so much is going on in the minds of the protagonists. The film of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold suffered because of this, despite Richard Burton’s superb performance. The book is one I re-read every couple of years, and it never disappoints.

As for Le Carre’s output more generally, it went downhill fast after A Perfect Spy, IMO. Some of his early, lesser-known works are very good indeed. The Looking Glass War, about the decline and delusion of a military spy outfit in the post-war period, is magnificent. A Murder of Quality, a dark satire about English public schools, is also worth reading.

As for inconsistencies such as Guillam being homosexual in the movie, the characters are not consistently portrayed in the books either. It didn’t jar for me, as homosexual spies are hardly rare. Indeed, just about every one of the spy novels has at least one homosexual character, mostly closeted ones.

I read many years ago an anecdote about 90 year olds in nursing homes who were not allowed to have two eggs for breakfast because cholesterol. Insanity.

When my father was dying in hospital (the cardiologist had given him less than 2 weeks, which turned out to he optimistic) one nurse was appalled at the suggestion that extra sugar would improve the palatability of the hospital meals.

To be fair to her, she almost immediately realised that diabetes in a decade would be a better alternative than what the cardiologist was offering, and folded. The problem was her instinctive reaction.

The geniuses who are bent on turning our spectator sports into vehicles for their political views might want to take note of what has happened in the US:

The NFL has learned in one week what it took Hillary Clinton almost two years to find out, and that is, more people agree with Donald Trump.

Sales of NFL tickets at the online ticket re-seller site TickPick have cratered, dropping off 17.9 percent which is a number far worse than the average Week 3 drop off, according to the Washington Examiner.

The NFL sales at TickPick dropped 17.9 percent this week, nearly double the 10.8 percent drop-off during Week 3 in 2016.

    [ … ]

in person visits to NFL games are not the only area showing a drop off in fan participation. TV ratings are also cratering.

Ratings for Sunday Night Football are some of the lowest in decades, and ratings for Week 2 were down double-digits over last season’s numbers.

There are many consequences from this drop off in fan interest. With ratings continuing to fall, analysts are worried that the TV networks could lose upwards to $200 million in revenue and this week investors were even told to avoid investing in CBS stock over the expected continued loss due to its floundering football programing.

It’s hitting them where it hurts, and guess what? Teams are starting to stand for the anthem again, albeit grudgingly in some cases.

It would be great if something similar happened here, but we’ll wait a long time for Turnbull or any other political leader of consequence to do what Trump did and mobilise the fans against these bubble-dwellers.

The Truth About Those Facebook Ads, 1813
    The Still Report
    Sep 28, 2017
Good morning, I’m still reporting on: The Truth About Those Facebook Ads, 1813

Synopsis: Three weeks ago it was breaking news – a Russian firm had advertised on Facebook in support of candidate Trump and in opposition to Hillary Clinton.

Then, last Friday, President Trump – always ahead of the information game – tweeted:
    [insert tweet]

“The Russia hoax continues, now its ads on Facebook. What about the totally biased and dishonest Media coverage in favor of Crooked Hillary?”

It, of course, garnered over 28 thousand shares.

The President was probably reacting to this from a Facebook investigation:

“… in reviewing the ad buys, we have found approximately $100,000 in ad spending from June 2015 to May 2017-associated with roughly 3000 ads-it was connected to about 470 inauthentic accounts and Pages in violation of our policies. Our analysis suggests these accounts and Pages were affiliated with one another and likely operated out of Russia.”
”We don’t allow inauthentic accounts on Facebook, and as a result, we have sense shut down the accounts and pages we identified that were still active.”
”The vast majority of ads run by these accounts didn’t specifically reference the US presidential election, voting or a particular candidate.”
”Rather, the ads and accounts appear to focus on amplifying divisive social and political messages across the ideological spectrum-touching on topics from LGBT matters to race issues to immigration to gun rights.”

Late Monday afternoon, the Washington Post issued the following report:

”… the batch of more than 3000 Russian-bought ads that Facebook is preparing to turn over the Congress shows a deep understanding of social divides in American society, with some ads promoting African American rights groups, including black lives matter….”
“Other ads highlighted support for Democrat Hillary Clinton among Muslim women.”

    According to yesterday’s Reality Reader,

The Russian collusion narrative concocted by Hillary Clinton and supporters as an explanation for her election loss is one of the most glaringly hypocritical aspects of a still reeling Democrat party who’s leadership is already known for endless double standards and deflections. Even ignoring Clinton’s many bribes from foreign leaders for political favors, and the many conflicts of interest arising from lobbying by close aides like John Podesta.

Proposal won the backing of Indigenous Defence Consortium Chief Executive former AFL star Adam Goodes.

Almost all recent Australian experience shows that the purpose of procurement of major combat systems is that from the get-go they be completely incapable conducting expeditionary warfare which might involve supporting our allies and regional defence commitments.

Nobody – but nobody – in Canberra wants to risk ‘HoWARd’ and GW2 again.

The purpose of major combat systems procurement is plainly to shovel ruinous amounts of money at favoured constituencies, usually with a healthy leavening of ‘consultants’ to help with the monetary distributions.

    BAE’s bid is sheer genius.

So I bought fresh white bread and 3 liters of milk every day from my own resources.
What really staggered me was the bureaucracy recognised the patients were being underfed, but refused to allow us to deal with their diet in an effective way.

While I share your concerns about the evil ambitions of “progressives”, I suspect that their project will fail unless they can soon engineer a “state of emergency” to allow suspension of democracy. Even then, they will gave to rely on the implementation of vigorous police suppression of protest.

Having themselves inculcated in the police a philosophy of going soft on demonstrators, this might not be as easy as they might hope. The senior police might be on side, but the junior ones, who do the actual suppressing, nay be less so, as they will be uncertain of the loyalty down of their leaders.

If, however, the “progressives” cannot engineer this effective coup soon, then the electoral fate of Keating and R-G-R awaits. Once the electorate stops listening, their end is nigh. It just gets better and better:

Why has the Royal Commission promoted this ‘victim’?

Andrew Bolt, Herald Sun September 30, 2017 7:41am

It’s alarming that the Royal Commission endorses an expert whose unlikely story of victimhood is fiercely under question and who promotes faith in “repressed” memories that licence wild allegations.

Richard Guilliat’s article must be read in full. It raises serious questions not just about the “expert” but the Royal Commission itself:

Dr Cathy Kezelman… in a memoir entitled Innocence Revisited … wrote that she had been violently sexually abused from early childhood by her father, a former Brisbane schoolteacher, and by a group of sadistic paedophiles led by her paternal grandmother…

Her organisation, now called the Blue Knot Foundation, is regarded as the peak body representing adult abuse victims, and her work there has earned her an Order of Australia…

Dr Claude Imhoff, an emergency physician from northern NSW, [is] Cathy Kezelman’s brother…

“I utterly refute everything Catherine states in her book about our father and grandmother,” Imhoff says. “It’s not that I don’t remember those things, I can categorically state that those events never happened.” What has tipped him toward speaking out, he says, is not just a desire to set the record straight but a concern that his sister’s growing influence on the royal commission and the counselling of abuse victims could cause many more people to suffer the anguish his family has endured. It’s a concern shared by senior figures in the field of trauma treatment and psychology…

Shortly after her breakdown Kezelman had joined a writers’ group, and three years into her therapy she gave her mother and brother a 95-page manuscript entitled Daddy Please. In it she revealed that she now remembered being raped by her father from the age of nine in her bedroom in the family home in outer Brisbane. The assaults, she recalled, had stopped after several years when her mother caught her father undressing in her room and admonished them both.

For Claude Imhoff, it was too much. He had been researching repressed memories and discovered that their reliability had fallen into deep disrepute because of bizarre cases in which therapy patients recalled murders, satanic abuse and other extraordinary crimes for which no evidence could be found…

But Imhoff had a more practical reason to doubt his sister’s story: they had shared a bedroom until she was 10, and he had never observed anything untoward. The father she described — a manic figure who prowled the house and beat his sister “black and blue” — bore little resemblance to the sad, sedated figure he remembered from his late teens. His mother was similarly nonplussed, and told her daughter she had no recollection of these events…

In 2007 [Kezelman] sent her brother a new manuscript, Innocence Revisited, which was dramatically different to Daddy Please. Kezelman now remembered that her father’s sexual assaults began when she was four and included violent rapes at gunpoint; she recalled her father driving her to his mother’s house in inner Brisbane, where she remembered being ritualistically abused by a “sadistic mob” wearing hoods. In other memories, she was taken to a cave where the hooded figures dismembered a young girl on a rough stone altar.

Read the whole lot: how experts have warned against her theories; how this woman still got millions of dollars of government grants; how someone alson claiming to have had repressed memories accused a Catholic priest of abuse; how Kezelman will not now be questioned on her claims.

    But then this:

The royal commission has rapidly accelerated her influence: Justice McClellan praised Kezelman’s work when he launched Blue Knot Day in 2014, and she chaired his appearance at a trauma and dissociation conference a year later. The royal commission adopted a trauma-informed approach to interviewing alleged victims, and when Kezelman last appeared before it in March, Justice McClellan called her an “old friend” whose knowledge went beyond that of most judges and government bureaucrats. More than 17,000 copies of the Blue Knot guidelines have been downloaded, and the royal commission quoted them in its recent report on a redress scheme for victims, recommending that Kezelman’s organisation be one of the key advisers to develop the scheme. ..

In her latest role, Kezelman is one of 15 members of an advisory panel helping the Turnbull Government devise the $4 billion compensation and counselling scheme for victims of institutional abuse.

    This is very, very disturbing.

I am reminded afresh how passionately believed accusations hurled in the royal commission at one prominent churchman – and widely peddled by the media – turn out to have been false.

Their ABC just loves to create a victim narrative to belabour ordinary Australians and make “heroes”out of people like Yasmin and Dylan.

Former Don Dale detainee Dylan Voller has been released after he, his mother and six others were arrested by police at a rally in Alice Springs. They were protesting on Friday against youth detention and deaths in custody at a busy intersection on the Stuart Highway. Mr Voller’s sister Kirra said he and their mother, Joanne, were pushed to the ground and placed into paddy wagons.

Pushed to the ground? I wonder why!

Police said eight people, between the ages of 14 and 47, were arrested for obstructing traffic and disorderly conduct.

Blocking the road and preventing other people getting on with their life. Joanne would be pushed to the ground because she was obstructing traffic and resisting arrest.

“They can lock people up for a peaceful protest and put them away, but what are they going to do to the … old white racist people when they kill our young brothers and sisters? Nothing.”

Which “old white racist people” are these? The ones paying taxes so that Dylan, Joanne and others can protest. And we know that white people have a higher death rate in prison than blacks. Oh, and that “peaceful protest” was on a public road, harassing other people and blocking traffic.

But, hey ABC, don’t let the facts get in the way of the narrative.

Else Kennedy was videoing the protest and said the peaceful rally turned violent when police tried to move people off the road.

Right, so people should be allowed to protest in the middle of the road and interfere with other people going about their lawful, ordinary lives? These people, and the ABC, simply have no idea.

We could get an order for nine hulls on to the continuing production line for Arleigh Bourkes for ~A$20 bill. And have a fighting Navy.

Instead, BAE is tossing in a match-winning Diversity-and-Equality bid for a contract which I presume Defence is estimating will be about A$35 billion for the Koori Dreamtime-class frigates.*

Jones reportedly “instructed his media buyer to remove any commercials from airing during NFL games.”

A new report from The Armstrong and Getty Radio Show has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world after it was claimed that members of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders may have purposefully allowed their star quarterback to get sacked multiple times after he refused to kneel during the National Anthem. If true, this would essentially mean that an NFL football game was illegally thrown over anger that one of the teams star white players did not believe that kneeling during the nation’s anthem was the correct way to protest supposed racial injustice in America.

    The statistics are revealing.

Thought to be one of the best units in the NFL, the Raiders offensive line was porous against Washington. Carr was sacked four times, and the group that has opened up spacious running holes and provided Carr with ample time to throw did the opposite Sunday night. Carr had only been sacked twice in the first two games of the season. Both came on consecutive plays in Week 1 when backup right tackle Vadal Alexander replaced Newhouse and played a role in both sacks. The vaunted Jets defensive line didn’t get to Carr in Week 2 during the Raiders’ 45-20 win.

He certainly will. That and his subsequent abuse of white Australians led to him being booed out of the AFL.

Anal Cancer: The New Gay Epidemic the Media Won’t Talk About

    Yikes!

Barriers to Diagnosis, Treatment of Oral, Anal Cancer Among GBT Individuals

HPV is transmitted through having anal or oral sex or other intimate skin-to-skin contact with someone who has the virus. It is most commonly spread during vaginal or anal sex, according to the CDC. Anyone who is sexually active can get HPV, and most all sexually active men and women get it at some point in their lives, the CDC says. HPV can be transmitted even when an infected person has no signs or symptoms, and symptoms can develop years after sexual contact with someone. That makes it harder to know when a person first became infected.

HPV risk is increased by having anal sex and having many sexual partners. Another risk factor is a weak immune system because of HIV infection or other factors, which also is often a significant concern for GBT individuals. Some HPV types transmitted via oral sex can lead to oral cancer. In fact, HPV is the leading cause of oropharyngeal cancers (the back of the mouth and part of the throat). White, non-smoking males 35-55 are most at risk at a 4-1 ratio over females, according to the Oral Cancer Foundation. Statistically, research shows that straight men are slightly more likely to develop oral cancer than gay men, primarily because of HPV in vaginal fluids transmitted through cunnilingus. The reverse is true for anal cancer, with men who have sex with men having a higher incidence of anal HPV.

Bold Eagles: Angry Birds Are Ripping $80,000 Drones Out of the Sky

SYDNEY— Daniel Parfitt thought he’d found the perfect drone for a two-day mapping job in a remote patch of the Australian Outback. The roughly $80,000 machine had a wingspan of 7 feet and resembled a stealth bomber.

There was just one problem. His machine raised the hackles of one prominent local resident: a wedge-tailed eagle.

Swooping down from above, the eagle used its talons to punch a hole in the carbon fiber and Kevlar fuselage of Mr. Parfitt’s drone, which lost control and plummeted to the ground.

“I had 15 minutes to go on my last flight on my last day, and one of these wedge-tailed eagles just dive-bombed the drone and punched it out of the sky,” said Mr. Parfitt, who believed the drone was too big for a bird to damage. “It ended up being a pile of splinters.”

By definition, anyone wanting to kill random strangers has a “mental heath [sic] issue”.

“We are working through his identity.”

We have no idea who he is but police are “very confident” that “it was a mental health issue”.

Police have said they do not know if the driver was intending to harm pedestrians. Witnesses have been reported as saying that the man appeared to be trying to hit people. “He was certainly armed with a weapon … but I have no information that he was actually trying to attack pedestrians,” Superintendent Newman said.

He was armed with a weapon and driving his car at people but the police “have not information that he was actually trying to attack pedestrians”.

Driverless car software adapted to cope with kangaroos in Australia
    ANDREW JEFFERSON, Herald Sun
    September 29, 2017 4:30pm
    Subscriber only
SOFTWARE to enable the introduction of driverless cars in Australia has had to be adapted to cope with the hazard of kangaroos.

Mike Hammer, Engineering Group Manager Regulation & Certification/Validation for GM Holden in Port Melbourne, said the unpredictable nature of kangaroos made them a tricky problem for a driverless car to negotiate.

“We’re developing software so cars can work in Australia and all the unique Australian conditions,” Mr Hammer said.

“Kangaroos are one of them. They are unpredictable and they can change direction quickly at any time.

Conservatives have long gained satisfaction from watching the awkwardness that ensues when feminists are asked about porn. After all these years, we still aren’t sure what happens when the unstoppable force of empowerment meets the immovable pillar of anti-objectification. Like the Pharisees who couldn’t answer Jesus’s question about John the Baptist, feminists fear the public implications of both porn-positivity (“So you’re OK with men being dogs?”) and slut-shaming (“So you’re OK with telling women what to do with their bodies?”). This catch-22 is not an accident. Abandoning the natural design and boundaries of the created order is a one-way ticket to confusion, not liberation. The failure of allegedly pro-woman ideologies to speak coherently about an industry more profitable than all sports leagues combined testifies to the emptiness and moral hypocrisy of secular worldviews.

International Data Corporation is a Chinese-owned provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets.

IDC was founded by Patrick Joseph McGovern in Massachusetts, in 1964. At the outset, the company produced a computer installation data base (based on a customer list purloined from IBM), and published a newsletter, “EDP Industry and Market Report” (modeled on “ADP Newsletter”, which was published by The Diebold Group). Companies such as RCA, Univac, Xerox, and Burroughs paid IDC for use of the data base. During this time, Mcgovern continued to work as a writer for “Computers and Automation” magazine, the first computer magazine, published by Edmund Berkeley.

The messiah of Gosford: I recognise that we come from very different theological standpoints but thank God for the breadth and depth of Anglicanism that can accommodate us both. Every blessing,” he said.

Yeah right mate, every blessing. You left out every perversion. If it feels good etc.
How long before Anglicanism becomes a dirty word because of fckwits like this?
Babies and bathwater come to mind but surely there are times when the end must justify the means. After all there is all that depth and breadth in which to swing around.

    Heh.

maybe the hint is in the order. The Lord fried Sodom and Gomorrah. We know what sodomy was but He saves the worst for last, so Gomorrity was worse.

Obviously, whatever they were up to ain’t done now (not even by the front bench of the Parliamentary ALP).

I mean, think of the Lord of all Creation’s approach here.

Hmm. Might check on those levantine lot… yeah, all looking OK …

Sodom, nice views, good location, hang on! Wait, what? Oooh, that’s just nasty. What about Gomorrah … eeeeewwwww…. those perverted little f*cks! Right. That’s it. Boys, get the one righteous bloke outta there! I’ve had it with these little bastards. Cop this!

Here is a classic case of Yessers lying, being violent and blaming their victims …

ABC Online: Differences of opinion play out on Tamworth cafe strip in ugly scenes.

The debate over same-sex marriage has turned ugly in the northern NSW town of Tamworth with a cafe owner claiming a No campaigner parked outside her business and became violent against a staff member when he was asked to move on.

“He punched one of my staff in the chest and pushed her to the ground,” said Kristy Sollars, whose cafe openly supports same-sex marriage.

Rainbow flags adorn the outdoor seating area and there are signs of support inside as well.

Now, right away you know she’s lying because she has no “move on” powers and any such behaviour would already have resulted in an arrest. You read that and you instinctively that it’s total bullshit.

    Here’s what actually happened:

Bob McDonald is also passionate about his support of the No vote, printing posters which he has attached to a trailer so he can spread the message while driving around town.

Mr McDonald admits there was an incident outside the cafe, but that he was not the aggressor.

“One of the [cafe] staff members had run across the road and just started ripping our posters off the van,” he said.

He denies pushing the young woman to the ground.

“As she was reaching up to grab my posters I’ve more or less pushed my way in front of her to stop her from ripping off my posters and that’s when she fell to the ground,” he said.

Police were called but no charges have been laid.

Mr McDonald wants access to the CCTV footage to prove his side of the story, but said he has been refused.

“We’ve been pushing for them to be charged because they have taken the law into their own hands,” he said.

  204. C.L.

See what the ABC did there?
Ran the lying woman’s account, then …

Mr McDonald admits there was an incident outside the cafe, but that he was not the aggressor.

    AH! So he ADMITS it.
If you’re still reading (and the ABC hopes you’re not, of course), his truthful version of events comes next.

FBI May Launch Criminal Investigation of Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts
NATIONAL MICAIAH BILGER SEP 29, 2017 | 1:15PM WASHINGTON, DC

The media attention to Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trade has died down, but federal authorities have not forgotten about it.

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee recently learned that the FBI received its criminal investigation referrals of Planned Parenthood and other groups involved in the aborted baby body parts trade, according to Breitbart.

The Senate committee and the U.S. House Select Panel on Infant Lives both opened investigations into the abortion industry after the Center for Medical Progress first exposed its baby body parts trade in 2015. Late last year, both committees concluded their investigations by recommending that the FBI investigate and potentially file criminal charges against Planned Parenthood.

In a June letter to committee chair Sen. Chuck Grassley, the FBI confirmed that it is reviewing the committee’s recommendations.

“We can confirm the Criminal Investigative Division (CID) of FBI Headquarters received your referrals and sent them to the relevant FBI field offices for review and whatever action is deemed appropriate,” FBI official Gregory Brower wrote.

Brower apologized for the delay in responding to Grassley, but assured the pro-life senator that the FBI did receive the information and sent it to the appropriate people for review. When contacted by Breitbart, FBI officials would not confirm or deny an investigation of the abortion chain.

In December, Grassley’s committee referred several Planned Parenthood affiliates and companies involved in sales of aborted baby parts, as well as the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, to the FBI and the Department of Justice for investigation and possible prosecution.

“I don’t take lightly making a criminal referral. But, the seeming disregard for the law by these entities has been fueled by decades of utter failure by the Justice Department to enforce it,” Grassley said at the time. “And, unless there is a renewed commitment by everyone involved against commercializing the trade in aborted fetal body parts for profit, then the problem is likely to continue.”

The committee found evidence of numerous violations by Planned Parenthood and fetal tissue procurement companies like StemExpress.

Just a few weeks earlier, the House Select Panel on Infant Lives also released a list of nine criminal and regulatory referrals against abortion providers and/or fetal tissue procurement companies as a result of its investigation into the illegal practice of selling aborted baby remains for profit. The committee also found potential HIPAA violations and other possible criminal activity.

The Center for Medical Progress expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all 14:

In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
In the second video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joked, “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiated the best price for baby parts.
In the third video: Holly O’Donnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs.
In the fourth video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were “good to go.”
In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthood’s skill in obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” and how her “research” department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.”
In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”
In the eighth video: StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admits Planned Parenthood sells “a lot of” fully intact aborted babies.
The ninth video: catches a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies — including one who “just fell out” of the womb.
The 10th video: catches the nation’s biggest abortion business selling specific body parts — including the heart, eyes and “gonads” of unborn babies. The video also shows the shocking ways in which Planned Parenthood officials admit that they are breaking federal law by selling aborted baby body parts for profit.
Unreleased Videos: Unreleased videos from CMP show Deb Vanderhei of Planned Parenthood caught on tape talking about how Planned Parenthood abortion business affiliates may “want to increase revenue [from selling baby parts] but we can’t stop them…” Another video has a woman talking about the “financial incentives” of selling aborted baby body parts.
The 11th video: catches a Texas Planned Parenthood abortionist planning to sell the intact heads of aborted babies for research. Amna Dermish is caught on tape describing an illegal partial-birth abortion procedure to terminate living, late-term unborn babies which she hopes will yield intact fetal heads for brain harvesting.
The 12th video in the series shows new footage of Jennefer Russo, medical director at Planned Parenthood in Orange County, California, describing to undercover investigators how her abortion business tries to harvest intact aborted babies’ bodies for a local for-profit biotech company and changes the abortion procedure to do so.
The 13th video: exposes a Planned Parenthood medical director admitting that babies born alive after abortion are sometimes killed.
The 14th video: catches Planned Parenthood executives discussing gruesome abortion procedures and the sale of body parts from aborted babies for profit.
