Heard the appalling Greg Barton on the radio this morning and that was his message.

Talk about brain dead, the moron reckons that if terrorists really want to help Muslims they would not commit terrorist attacks because when they do all us rubes blame Muslims. So really, we should spare a though for what all the Muslims are going through this morning.

We need a massive readjustment right now.
There is no time to wait for a slow process of percentage voting drift toward the Australian conservatives over the next ten years.

The Australian Conservatives say they will reduce immigration by 50%. Big Woops (as my kids would say), we’ll only have half the number of jihadi attacks then. Permanent immigration must stop now, and not only for the jihadi contingent. Our cities are overcrowded, we’re up to our eyeballs in debt, housing costs are preventing young families from buying their own houses, and no one knows or cares what it means to be an Australian.

A 50% solution is no solution.

A vehicle attack on a busy pedestrian crossing in Melbourne’s Flinders Street which left 14 people in hospital was the work of a mentally ill drug addict, police believe.

    From Stephen Green @ Instapundit.

A link to the WSJ paywall on Venezuela’s descent in to Marxist terror. Green includes a chilling extract for those of us outside The Wall:

Beleaguered Maduro regime kills guilty and innocent alike in poor barrios, often with shots to the heart.

The young men had already been tortured at an army base when soldiers piled them into two jeeps and transported them to a wooded area just outside the Venezuelan capital.

Stumbling in the dark, with T-shirts pulled over their faces and hands tied behind their backs, they were steered to an open pit. Soldiers then used machetes to deliver blow after blow to the base of their necks. Most suffered gaping wounds that killed them before they hit the ground.

Others, bleeding profusely but still alive, crumpled into the shallow grave as their killers piled dirt over their bodies to hide the crime.

“We think they were alive a good while as they died from asphyxia,” said Zair Mundaray, a veteran prosecutor who led the exhumation and investigation that pieced together how the killings unfolded. “It had to be a terrible thing.”

Based on this extract, one would suggest that people killed swiftly with a bullet to the chest are the comparatively lucky ones, compared to the low-carbon approach above of carving them up and mulching them while still alive.

Keep in mind, Chavezista Venezuela is a paradigm for the Leftist Australians.

We await the inevitable one-way trips to the Australian countryside with trepidation.

Look even the MSM reported ISIS’s November call for Christmas Blood, you don’t need to establish links other than to make extensive investigations into whether Saeed was a muslim

Police have raided the homes of accused Flinders Street rampage driver Saeed Noori’s family searching for clues to why he mowed down 17 people at a busy intersection.

The 32-year-old Afghan refugee was dragged from the car and arrested minutes after he ploughed through crowds of Christmas shoppers and commuters outside Flinders Street Station.

Police said it did not appear to a terrorist attack but raided two homes in Heidelberg West and Oak Park – where Noori lives – in Melbourne’s north on Thursday night, hours after the terrifying incident.

Australia’s biggest drug bust: Over $1 billion methamphetamine seized in Geraldton
    Grant Taylor, PerthNow
    December 22, 2017 11:00AM

A state and Federal police operation in Geraldton has resulted in Australia’s biggest ever methamphetamine bust, with 1.2 tonnes of the drug allegedly seized from a boat moored at the Mid-West city’s marina.

The joint operation culminated in a pre-dawn raid on the 16m vessel early yesterday and the arrest of at least six people who have all faced the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court charged with possessing a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug.

It is understood the drug haul could have fetched more than $1 billion dollars if it had been allowed to hit Australian streets.

Details of the case can only now be revealed following the lifting at 11am today of a suppression order which prevented publication of any details surrounding the case.

It is understood the purpose of that order was to allow police to conduct further raids and arrests, including some in Perth.

Somebodies plans for the Festive season have just suffered a severe setback.

Can someone ask the Liars In Blue what it takes for an event to be classified a “terrorist Event”?

Straight from the websites of Vicpol:
    _______
    What is terrorism?
When we hear the word terrorism, we generally think of a person or a group of people using or threatening to use violence against others to achieve their own political or religious advantage. More recently the violence used involves guns or bombs or other weapons designed to kill or hurt a number of people at one time.

A ‘terrorist act’ is defined under Australian law as:
an act or threat, intended to advance a political, ideological or religious cause by coercing or intimidating an Australian or foreign government or the public. This action must cause serious harm to people or property, create a serious risk to the health and safety to the public, or seriously disrupt trade, critical infrastructure or electronic systems.

  155. one old bruce

May I just point out that the evidence in India does not support any fanciful claims of ‘Hindu genocide’ by Muslims. Or even that there was conversion by force. First, the majority of Hindus were always around Delhi, home of the Muslim Mughal emperor. Certainly invading armies were rapacious, but that applies even to Hindu armies from India’s west invading its east. The goal of all conquerors was to get contrrol of the productive farming peasantry and collect taxes. If they were infidels even better as more could be demanded.

Then the majority of Indian Muslims were always in the extreme east and west of the country, areas which were the last bastions of Buddhism. Again a prospective king does not kill his potential tax paying subjects. Monks and monasteries were wiped out for sure, and their wealth taken just as when the Vikings raided.

There never was any evidence for mass killings by invaders into India. Nor would it have made any sense. But as anyone who’s followed the Mahabharata knows, Hindus are great story tellers, and (cough) exaggerators.

A culture that creates a cuisine that looks the same going as it does going out does not have a lot going for it.

They also reckon that open defecation is a good thing.

Why do millions of Indians defecate in the open?

10 Facts: “Open Defecation” in India

    1. Mohandas Gandhi said good sanitation was more important than independence.

    2. India’s current prime minister says building toilets is a priority over temples. His administration has set a goal of ending defecating in the open by 2019.

    3. Some 130 million households in India lack toilets.

    4. More than 72% of rural people in India relieve themselves behind bushes, in fields or by roadsides.

    5. India accounts for nearly 600 million of the 1 billion people in the world who have no toilet.

    6. Hindu tradition encourages defecation in the open, far from home, to avoid ritual impurity.

    7. Many people, notably in the Hindu-dominated Gangetic plains, today still show a preference for going in the open—even if they have latrines at home.

    8. Since the 1960s, child mortality rates have been higher in Hindu families than Muslim ones—though Muslims typically are poorer and have less access to clean water.

    9. 67% of all Hindu households, rural and urban, practice open defecation, compared with just 42% of Muslim ones.

    10. In india, women who lack access to toilets, particularly in rural areas, go in the mornings and evenings to fields. That is where many rapes occur.

Upshot: India has 17% of the world’s population, but accounts for 60% of all people in the world without sanitation.

I have unbounded admiration for all the British traders, public servants and military AND their families – who went East back in the Raj.

A lot of them never returned for the reasons you mentioned. The East India Co. lost more of its young admins that way and alcoholism was rampant.

    Don’t drink the water

Ian Townsend: A third of Tasmania’s town water schemes don’t meet Australian Drinking Water Guidelines standards.

Hello, I’m Ian Townsend and welcome to Background Briefing on RN.

Of more than 90 town water schemes in Tasmania, nine have high levels of chemicals or metals, 22 towns are on a permanent ‘boil water’ alert, and last year another 13 were told they had to boil their water to kill the bacteria.

Andrew Beswick from Ben Lomond Water:

Andrew Beswick: Even before the heavy metal issue, the risk was there even because of the number of these supplies are not microbiologically sound in that they have E. coli present, so you had to remember to boil the water.

Ian Townsend: It sounds very Third World though.

Terrible piece of ignorant crap by Menzies booster Bragg in the Oz today crediting Pig Iron Bob the Axis appeaser and defeatist with the 1957 Aust-Japan Commerce Agreement, when in fact all he did was what the US wanted him to do. Postwar US policy was to direct the natural resources of SE Asia and Australia to rebuild Japan’s economy hence European colonial powers were to be forced out of SE Asia. Japan wanted to send their own workers to develop the Pilbara, only a strike prevented it.

Zycon, we have travelled extensively in our caravan throughout Australia and always carry our own drinking water, and fill the tanks when we find a suitable supply. I also google the water supply details in any area which seems suss – and there are many of those.

Beaufort, just east of Ballarat, for example, has signs everywhere warning against drinking the water without boiling. Blackall, Queensland, insists that their water is fine for drinking, but the putrid smell was too much even for Best Man, who is far more tolerant than I am.

In many places, the excessive chlorination makes water undrinkable, although we have found that the smell often dissipates after standing for a few hours.

For me, bottom line is, boil everything, everywhere, before drinking.

    True.
People like Bolta are fond of pointing out how few first preference votes the #3 or #4 on the Senate ticket get when they are up to replace an ineligible candidate.
It is a bullshit argument, given most people vote above the line along party lines, and the #1 candidate is deemed to get all first preference votes.
A number 5 candidate scoring 10,000 below the line first preference votes should send a strong message.

65 years of age should be the cut-off for compulsory retirement of currently elected politicians and ineligibility to stand for prospective politicians. It’s the same age as current age pension eligibility and an appropriate age for the trough snufflers to get out of the way and let decisions be made by younger folk.
