ABC so gentle in their handling of the atrocious Sydney train strike. So different to the way they handle any action by conservatives that they disapprove of.
But then moving right along to Terrible Heat ™ which will smite us all, for we are sinners.

BoN, have you seen this story about raptors allegedly using bits of burning stick during bushfires to start spot fires that chase out small prey?
If it is true, presumably this would be only happen during low intensity fires, not the huge conflagration kind.

It is true. It is also well-known to many bushmen and tourist operators in the Northern Territory.

I wrote about it in one of my travel reports back to the Cat when visiting the Northern Territory last year, with regard to the Whistling Kites especially.

Kites love a good burn. They also follow you when digging up a paddock looking for mice or quail. I’ve had them flying so slowly that that look you in the face while your driving the tractor. Real opportunists.

Pity politicians don’t fear the backlash.

The constant accusations of the population being racist and violent and sexist etc is all gobbled up by the pollies and spat back on the voters.

The Muzzies would not be able to get away with any of this if they had not been allowed to get away with this.

And they will keep trying it on because they can.

The things that have tempted country shoppers to our shores were already here. The apparatus that encourages and abets the posture of victimhood was manufactured and is maintained here by people who know how the system can be used.

In a way muzzies are kind of innocent – the whole smorgasbord is set out for them, why wouldn’t they take advantage. We should close it down, shoo the flies away, and then boil the chefs in oil.

Let me say this on a a 42C day. It’s been a moderate start to summer, although the first part of February is the usual summer test.

IN the five years since Australia introduced the world’s first tobacco plain packaging laws several European countries have either actually followed suit, or announced plans to follow suit.

The underlying premise of the laws appears quite sensible. By removing branding and attractive colours and replacing them with ugly drab colours the graphic health warnings on the packets will be emphasised, and so encourage people to quit smoking.

In fact that was the stated aim of the Australian policy. Those objectives were written into legislation. The Australian government subsequently commissioned the Victorian Cancer Council to undertake a tracking study to explicitly test for the efficacy of the policy.

As the Victorian Cancer Council has subsequently admitted, it did not test the policy efficacy but rather smokers’ perceptions of the cigarette packs. Unsurprisingly, smokers hated the new packets. In an extraordinary admission, the Victorian Cancer Council claimed that their survey “was quite explicitly not designed to assess quitting success or change in smoking prevalence”.

Nonetheless published results from that survey have been cited as evidence that the policy succeeded.

Wondering if Mizzzz Sales is being groomed to interview Jordan Peterson when he arrives here.

Whoever is to do so had better be more prepared than the Channel 4 interviewer in the vid upthread. She was way out of her depth. Peterson has a formidably analytic approach to his own work and to questions thrown at him about it. An interview with him by an evolutionary geneticist would be more interesting.

He reminds me rather of my first husband when chewing a philosophical bone. A mind that returns to first principles and the definitional status of premises and corrects interlocutors who elide from points made about these. Such minds are fascinating, although would you believe, a little hard to live with. 🙂

Good interviewers listen. then ask their next question according to the answer they have just heard. Did not happen in the JP interview. Doubt Sales could do it.

  23. Mother Lode

Jordan Peterson should demand either to only be interviewed live, or to be able to record the interview as well, since I am sure the ABC will guarantee that any editing will be done to manage time, not message.

The former will be very arduous for an ABC creature who is used to interviewing ‘friends’ or being able to rely on the excess polite manners which seems only exist in those opposed to the ABC’s pet points of view.

The latter will at least give the ABC the assurance that no one they care about will ever hear the truth since they will agree that Professor Peterson should not be listened to. But at least more open minded people, outside the Ultimo hive, will be able to compare the ABC edit to the real thing.

And, who knows, maybe the next generation of politician will use it against the ABC.

There does seem to be a usually reliable relationship between the biggest issue for a successful muso being their tax accounting, and the drop-off in the creativity of their work, as opposed to when they were lean-and-hungry.

At fake news den, the SMH:
No place for the race card in the political pack, but Trump plays it anyway.

One of my greatest concerns with the recent, global movements against traditional politicians, major parties and political processes has been the direct or implicit reliance on racism and prejudice as a basis for the arguments advanced in support of the quest for a “political messiah”, an “outsider”, and for a “disruption” of the traditional.

Of course, there is a huge academic literature on the appropriate definitions to be used in discussing the issues of race and ethnicity, but most of this is irrelevant to the point in the sense that most people know and can recognise racism when they experience it, hear it, or read about it. Sometimes its quite overt, sometimes a mere “nod and wink”, but few miss the racist-based message.

There should be little doubt about US President Donald Trump’s views on race, despite his occasional “denials”, assertions of “fake news”, and/or his semantic distinctions. His election campaign theme was effectively a promise to “Make America Great Again; America First and Only” and – nod, nod, wink, wink – to Make America White Again.

Hairy was so impressed with Hillary Mantel’s ‘Wolf Hall’ that he arrived home yesterday with a copy of her sequel to it, ‘Bring up the Bodies’. I have fobbed him off with Graeme Greene’s ‘Travels with my Aunt”, which I have just read, having picked up an old weather-beaten Penguin copy from one of those dinky little ‘book exchange cupboards’ that libraries are now putting up around the place. It is a story about how you should never grow old, I say sententiously, and you need a change from Cromwell. Hairy objected because I didn’t put in a replacement book, even though I pointed out the little wooden ‘house’ was overflowing. ‘Travels’ is a quick and fun read if you can get over some of the sixties atmospherics (although they are part of the fun), I tell him, as I snatch away ‘Bring up the Bodies’ for my weekend read. Mantel and Greene can certainly compete with each other for capacity to delight with prose and involve with plot.

NEW PAPER: PUBLIC HEALTH COMMISSION IS “SACRIFICING THE POOR”

A pair of influential reports published by the medical journal, The Lancet, are a “gross distortion” of public health science and threaten to devastate public health in the developing world. That is the warning by eminent epidemiologist Mikko Paunio.

….the Lancet Commissions’ proposal for a ban on new fossil-fueled power stations will be devastating for human health:

“To prevent most of the deaths from diarrhea, you need abundant water supplies, and that depends on having a reliable electricity grid, which can only come from fossil fuels. Clean air depends on centralised power generation in large power stations.”

It is quite arguable that amongst the movers-and-shakers, the ‘climate change’ scare makes a nice cover for the decades-long obsession of the ‘elites’ with ‘Too Many Proles’. Think Maurice Strong, Club of Rome, the Ehrlichs etc etc.

If they can ever get the Proles to voluntarily line up for eco-mulching in their billions, they will be popping the champagne corks in Davos.

I don’t agree with any of the criticisms of Cathy Newman expressed here. I thought her interview of Jordan Peterson was brilliant. Her combative style brought out the best in him, and allowed him to defend and justify the positions taken in his book (which was, after all, the purpose of the interview). Passenger writes open letter to Malaysian government complaining about Air Asia’s revealing uniforms and ‘short skirts’.

A New Zealand woman has complained about seeing the breasts and underwear of Air Asia flight attendants, saying their uniforms are ruining Malaysia’s reputation.

Dr June Robertson from Wellington has written a letter to Malaysian senator Hanafi Mamat which was posted to Facebook on Tuesday.

In the letter, Dr Robertson said she ‘felt very offended by the extremely short skirts these females wear on Air Asia’.

‘I found it quite disgusting myself as not everyone appreciates this.

‘One of the Air Asia women bent over in the supermarket in [Kuala Lumpur International Airport] and I seen her underwear; terrible!’ she wrote.

She describes herself as a ‘middle-aged professional woman’ who has visited Malaysia twice a year for the last ten years.

Dr Robertson said on a flight from Auckland to Kuala Lumpur in October she was sitting in premium business class when a flight attendant ‘had her blouse opened and I could see the top of her breasts’.

‘I objected and asked her to close her jacket, as she was bending over us.

  76. C.L.

Jarrod’s link … from the Muslim rape capital of Europe:

SWEDISH music streaming service Spotify has weighed into the Australia Day debate, censoring a playlist created by conservative politician Cory Bernardi…

    Just wow. Bernardi responds brilliantly:

“The idea that we live in this totalitarian society now where these vainglorious artists and activists in the community can tell the rest of us what we’re allowed to enjoy is incredible, and I’m not going to stand for it anymore.

“It’s not just about this, it goes through a whole range of other areas, and we’ve got to stand up and call it out for what it is. So if these blokes want to take me on I’m happy, I’ll have the fight with them.”

Mr Bernardi described the response from artists including Men at Work, Powderfinger and Jimmy Barnes, who have “demanded for a long time political and financial and public support for their songs”, as “extraordinary”.

“Now [they] are deciding who’s allowed to promote them and encourage them or listen to them. It’s just bizarro world,” he said.

“They’re an assortment of people who have had drug problems, alcohol problems, plagiarism problems, they hardly are the bastions of morality in our community, and they’re lecturing the rest of us on what we’re allowed to like, what we’re allowed to listen to, and what we’re allowed to enjoy on Australia Day.”

  77. Marcus

What sort of dumb f**k musician thinks they can dictate who listens to their music?

Don’t want conservatives to listen/buy your music? They are half the population. Only a f**king idiot insults half their market.

Anyway, Corey couldn’t buy this publicity. It is just the thing to make conservative leaning low info voters take notice of him.

Look, I’m just going to say it. No one outside Australia knows who the hell Jimmy Barnes is.

Cory should make his own playlist of conservative artists – or at least, those who keep their politics to themselves, offer contrarian points of view, or otherwise indicate that they don’t think conservative voters are scum.

    To kick it off …

    The Who
    Eric Clapton
    KISS
    Joni Mitchell
    Suzi Quatro
    Tom Petty…

Seriously, who needs Barnsy when you can have The Who?

“Plagiarism problems” is a great hit by Cory.

That will burn them. Barnes has made a fortune torturing other people’s tunes. The man is a complete and utter wanker.

  81. My favourite conservative anthem would have to be Holiday in Cambodia by Punk Rock contrarians the Dead Kennedy’s. It is essentially inviting privileged student socialists to go spend some time in a real socialist “paradise”.

    Lyrical highlight:

    Well, you’ll work harder
With a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
    Slave for soldiers
    Till you starve
Then your head is skewered on a stake
Now you can go where the people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
    What you need, my son…
    What you need, my son…
    Is a holiday in Cambodia
Where people are dressed in black
    A holiday in Cambodia
Where you’ll kiss ass or crack

Dr June Robertson from Wellington has written a letter to Malaysian senator Hanafi Mamat which was posted to Facebook on Tuesday. In the letter, Dr Robertson said she ‘felt very offended by the extremely short skirts these females wear on Air Asia’.

This might indeed be Dr Sarah Reeves, who contributes to Private Eye, where members of the online community discuss major issues of the day. This time it’s a school ban on Sleeping Beauty.

I am a Reader in Gender Studies, working at the interface of popular culture and sexual politics. In Giambattista Basile’s seminal version, Talia (the ‘sleeping beauty’) is impregnated in her sleep. This adheres to the somnophilliac narrative of the ‘sleep sex’ porn genre, whose profile was raised recently by a prominent court case (although the Football Association, which is usually at the forefront of such things, has been slow to acknowledge the issue). The common theme is the irresistible allure of the passive recumbent female (itself an iconic theme in the visual arts) which creates an ambivalent tension of transgression that demands further dialogue.

Transcripts of testimonies last year to the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence have now been released and appear to support “The Big Ugly” scenario.
The Clinton Campaign hired Glenn Simpson (Fusion GPS) to collect dirt on Donald Trump.
Simpson contracted Nellie Ohr, the wife of a Dept of Justice attorney, to facilitate.
Ohr coordinated FBI and DoJ surveillance against the Trump campaign using DoJ National Security Division and FBI Counterintelligence.
The info collected was shared with semi-retired British MI6 agent Christopher Steele.
Steele passed the info to Fusion GPS.
The DoJ and FBI then used the dossier to get lawful warrants against the Trump campaign to make the results of their previous efforts appear lawful.

Yesterday I wrote to the top honchos at their ABC News, observing that their on-line news site continues to relentlessly post endless “Trump’s America” articles – all witheringly critical of EVERYTHING that’s wrong with his presidency but NOTHING about any of the good news. I specifically tried to bring their attention to two major items reported yesterday morning by even the BBC – the Dow had closed at over 26,000 pts – its 9th all-time record high this year & Apple is going to repatriate $250b in offshore profits & pay about $38b in tax, thanks to the Trump tax reforms.

Perhaps those ABC honchos took some notice because this morning their ABC News on-line’s “front page” did give Wall Street a mention:

“Wall Street falls as US government shutdown looms”

“Her penis”: See how easy it is to get with the program?
Alas, there are always a few holdouts. The singer Ginuwine was on Britain’s “Celebrity Big Brother” and was asked if he’d ever date a trans woman by telly journalist India Willoughby, a trans anchorwoman who used to be a cis anchorman (Jeremy Clarkson, I think). The conversation turned rapidly transphobic:
“Would you go out with a transsexual woman?” she queried.
“I believe it’s your choice… I would choose not to,” replied the R’n’B singer Ginuwine. “That doesn’t make me scared.”
“You would go out with a woman?” Willoughby asked.
    “Yes.”
“But you wouldn’t go out with a transsexual woman?”
    “No.”
The conversation rumbled on. When Willoughby suggested “Let’s have a kiss,” Ginuwine replied “no” and leaned away from her.
So, if Charlie Rose leans in and says, “Let’s have a kiss” and you’re disinclined, he gets fired. But, if Charlie Rose transitions to Charlene Rose and says, “Let’s have a kiss” and you’re still disinclined, you’re a hater:
if you have a sexual preference that discriminates against transgender men or transgender women, you are transphobic.
    this is a fact.

Come to think of it, the 4th amendment says anything found based on those warrants cannot be used against the accused (fruit of the poisoned tree). For me, my position is no different to the woman who works three jobs, or who might be in a position where they are juggling lots of responsibilities.

“You’ve just got to take every day as it comes and try and see if you can make the best of the lot you’re given.

“So I’m not pre-determining any of that, just like most of the women out here who just make their lives work.”

The truth: I am currently trying to get pregnant and will continue to do so.

That’s a pretty yuge issue for Peterson.

JC, it was primarily the organiser of the event (who was paying for it out of her own pocket, and if the thing had to be cancelled due to controversy or the overzealous Canadian speech police, she would have lost the lot) that pulled the plug on Faith Goldy.

Unease. So essentially, Dutton was right.

Maybe Kennett would be better to take a stick to Andrews rather than sucking up to him.

While Mr Dutton drew widespread criticism for his comments, a Fairfax Media-ReachTEL poll detected unease in the western suburbs affected by recent high-profile incidents.

Some 62.1 per cent of respondents in Tarneit said they were less likely to go out at night than a year ago because of the threat of gang violence, and 55.2 per cent of respondents in Cranbourne agreed.

Look, Faith Goldy didn’t bring all that much to the table of the event anyway. Her insights and experiences weren’t of enormous value at all, especially when compared to those of other guests. I don’t think it was worth having her on the bill in the first place.

Anyway, it was decided that her presence there became a liability, so she was removed. Now, if Stimps think doing this is transgressing against her right to free speech, I’d say he hasn’t thought very deeply about his contention. Free speech doesn’t mean you are owed a soapbox at a private event. She was perfectly free to set up her own free speech convention on her own dime.

A lift in the number of Chinese travellers passing through Sydney Airport last year has prompted two Chinese airlines to increase the frequency of their flights to Sydney.

The number of Chinese nationals travelling through Sydney Airport leapt 17.3 per cent in 2017, after jumping 17.6 per cent the prior year.

Tianjin Airlines, operating out of Tianjin near Beijing, will begin servicing its Tianjin-Zhengzhou-Sydney route all year round from January 30. Meanwhile, Hainan Airlines, which operates out of Hainan in China’s south, will run its Haikou-Sydney route twice weekly year round from the end of January.

“Sydney Airport now serves 17 mainland Chinese cities which represent almost 90 per cent of all travel on the China-Sydney route,” the airport’s chief executive Geoff Culbert said.

“We see the next wave of Chinese growth underpinned by increasing competition, frequency and up gauges.”

Across its three terminals, 43.3 million passengers passed through Sydney Airport (SYD) in 2017, up 3.6 per cent compared to the previous year. Traffic at the international airport grew 7.2 per cent, while domestic traffic rose 1.6 per cent, compared with the previous year.

“International passenger numbers were outstanding growing by more than one million” Mr Culbert said.

That’s true in the traditional sense of how we understand the underpinning of free speech. Brendon O’Neil came up with a very valid point about this though. The fathers of free speech always had in mind the right to express oneself in the public square type of setting. O’Neil points out that the anti-free speech authoritarians have done a decent job of preventing free expression in a private setting and this is hugely problematic. This is a very valid point.

After thinking a bit on what our so-called “elites” want for Australia, I suspect that they are aiming for a combination of the Indian caste system and the Soviet system, with an antipodean twist.

They want a Brahmin caste at the top. This will combine the old Soviet Nomenklatura, which will comprise members of the Lieboral/Liars/Slime UNiparty, committed to implementing all UN policies, with the 10 percent or so of the population who regard themselves as the transnational class, aka doctors’wives/cosmopolitans/internationalists/”anywheres”.

Next will be a new class of voteherds, imported from Third World, preferably Muslim, countries to provide the necessary facade of democracy by voting for the UNiparty. They will also provide emploment for (and add some interest to the sex lives of) the vegan wymmenses Brahmins.

Next, there will be a Sudra class of commoners, peasants and servants, drawn from obsolete Australians, aka parochials/”somewheres”, to provide sustenance for the above two groups by labouring in mundane jobs. Some obsolete Australians (bogans) will become our Harijans/Dalits/Untouchables.

Unfortunately for our intended Brahmins, the voteherds will see a different hierarchy, and once the Sudras are starved into submission, will meet no obatacles as they slaughter the would-be Brahmins!

    Richardson on the Greens:

One of the first indications that the Greens have fundamental difficulties in accepting the way the great majority of Australians live was when now-vanquished Queensland Green Larissa Waters took on the cause of changing the toys our children play with. She wanted to ban Barbie dolls because they were gender-specific. Little girls have played with dolls since the Son of God played on the wing for Jerusalem. I have managed to live my 68 years seeing absolutely nothing wrong with little girls playing with dolls. And even if I am accused of being a truly dreadful person, I readily concede that I would not have been comfortable with my son playing with dolls. Fortunately, he never did.

On the last day at my son’s school last month, there was a Christmas carols evening with a religious theme held at St Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral in Sydney. Silent Night still sounds like a wonderful song to me and the children and their parents had a terrific time. The harmonies, the musicianship and the most brilliant music teachers brought songs we had all been familiar with since we were children to life yet again. This was a great Christmas celebration following a great Christmas tradition. The Greens don’t want us to have these celebrations.

Tasmanian senator Nick McKim and a few of his mates drew up a non-denominational card to be sent out at Christmas. Why do these miserable bastards want to attack how we play and what we celebrate? The tradition of sending Christmas cards has been breaking down for some years. As a kid I remember my family received and sent a hundred cards. Now it is only a few. The Greens, though, should not read into the decline in cards anything about celebrating Christmas itself. That tradition is alive and kicking. The Greens can only stand outside the mainstream if they continue to deride it.

Today’s leader of the Greens, Richard Di Natale, surprised no one this week when, in line with the black-armband view of history they peddle, he called for Australia Day to be moved away from the commemoration of the landing of the First Fleet at Botany Bay. Again, he stands against what a huge majority of Australians want and believe in.

“I think comedy should be deployed. It’s like, you speak violence, you speak their language. But if you laugh at them when they’re goose-stepping down the street, and it takes away their power.”

These guys are are looking for ways to defeat you. They have an objective. If you refuse to play along, they don’t stop. If you don’t defend yourself you make it easier for them – they aren’t look for a shared experience. They are looking to beat you.

you. Had that song going through my head when I was in Aranya Pratet-Poi Pet border of Thai-Cambodia last week, you just returned it. Interesting seeing the rapid rise in Cambodia from my first visit to now and the incredible societal damage left from Pol Pot’s year zero.

My first crossing Cambodian visa office was a tin shed, now a proper office surrounded by Casinos chock a block full of Thai, Cambodian. Chinese & Koreans. Casino owners in typical Asian fashion exploit the no mans land between the border posts to avoid legality problems of both countries strict gambling laws and the sentient fact the right people are making money off them. Official corruption is open here, Australia it is the same but tarted up in legal way…

I did like the image on Drudge showing Trump at his desk while the KKK was milling about outside.

It says: Trump getting on with his works and completely ignores Democrats no matter how scary they think they are.

    Richardson on the Greens:

    One of the punters comments:

Charles D Plorable 1 HOUR AGO
The ALP and Richo have held these Green vipers to their breast and nourished them for decades, at huge cost to our society, our economy, and indeed, to our environment.

Just about all of the damage done to this country in recent generations has been by the ALP following the Marxist, watermelon policies of the Greens. .

They have sold out our prosperity, our energy, our water supply and our freedom of speech, and the attack on the institution of marriage and the perversion of our schools is well under way

In this instance the ALP have been the “useful idiots”

The Green parasite is now strong enough to bite its host, and Labor look like losing to them, so now we hear the squealing from Richo.

No sympathy from me Richo. “Whatever it takes”.

Remember also “As ye sow, so shall ye reap”. Unfortunately the whole country is reaping the disruption, the disunity, the poverty and the discord that YOUR policies have wrought upon us.

A pox on you both – the ALP and your fellow travellers.

    Onya Charlie.

Sorry Stimp, I tried to go back to find out what you were all talking about but if I do that I can’t keep track of the new comments coming up.

I feel like Lucille Ball at the Chocolate Factory.

Gunmen in Pakistan have shot dead a mother and daughter who were administering polio vaccinations in the south-western city of Quetta.
However, Islamist militants oppose vaccination, saying it is a Western conspiracy to sterilise Muslims.

The wisdom of the Seventh Century is revealed once more. If only the bolded bit was true.

California AG: Employers who Cooperate With Federal Immigration Raids Will be Prosecuted

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D-CA) said during a press conference Thursday that employers in California who cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in their rumored upcoming immigration raids would be prosecuted if they cooperate in a manner that violates California law.

Yep. Looks like Wussia has finally blown up tonight, implicating the FBI, Hillary Clinton and perhaps Barack Obama in the biggest scandal in US history.

Sean Hannity: Based on today’s events I have a message tonight for Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Your witch hunt is now over. Time to close the doors… It is more disturbing that we thought. And right now our sources are telling us that the abuse of power is far greater than Watergate… What we are talking about tonight are the abuse of the powerful tools of intelligence that we use to spy on people. Those tools were used against an opposition candidate, and president elect and his entire team. And it was done not only under false pretenses but with the with help of Hillary Clinton. She bought and paid for the dossier that they filled with Russian lies…

There some really interesting assertions at Gateway pundit

After watching Matt Gaetz’s interview on FOX earlier I got the very strong impression that the intel committee classified memo is pure dynamite. If they release it to the public tomorrow excrement is going to strike the rotating air mover.

Lawmakers from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) have called for the classified memo’s immediate release. According to Fox News contributor Sara Carter, the contents of the memo are so “explosive,” that it could end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe once and for all.

“Take it to the bank, the FBI/FISA docs are devastating for the Dems. The whole image of a benevolent Barack Obama they’ve disingenuously tried to portray is about to be destroyed. The real Obama, the vengeful narcissist, is going to be exposed for all to see”

Rumour has it that lots of big FBI and DoJ names are in it.

Cape Town at risk of becoming first major city in the world to run out of water

The drought-stricken city announced on Thursday that it will begin marking 200 collection points where its 3.7 million residents will be required to queue for a rationed supply of water on “Day Zero” – currently forecast to be April 21.

A large percentage of homosexuals and lesbians are actually converted. The numbers actually born are very low.
    Nurture trumps Nature.

Which is why legitimation through ‘gay marriage’ was a very bad idea. In many cases, the issue is one of lifestyle choice and recognition rather than any biological imperative. The destruction of the biological foundation of society via procreation in the natural family is well underway.

Why the fuck don’t the GOPers sitting on the committee leak the thing?

That would be a mistake, JC.
If the whole thing was out, the media would run something for a day or two and then say it was all over. Do them slowly.

    CL & Zat

Why hasn’t it been leaked though! Why are these congressfuckers talking about it instead of enuring it’s leaked.

I can see they may be preparing the ground for it, but then this is the GOP we’re dealing with. 🙂

The second mUnty foretasted impeachment!, indictments! , prosecution!, jail time! , we all knew how it would end. Mired in a leftist swamp of slime and bullshit which now of course has turned into an owned goal. Just like all of mUnty’s other rakes.

And it is not just that Richo was one of the foot-soldiers of the ALP at the time.
He led the charge to do deals with the Greens, firstly on “environmental” (ie business destruction) issues despite warnings that he was giving far left extremists oxygen and legitimacy, and that they would move on to more and more radical social engineering.
He laughed that criticism off at the time.
Clearly the surgeon left a lot of arsehole behind post-op.

Why the fuck don’t the GOPers sitting on the committee leak the thing?

Because they have all the cards. Playing this straight up and legal all the way is both to their advantage and the only way to start restoring some faith in the govt.
