Very important defence of free speech by Mark Steyn

A serious warning about the threat to free speech by protracted lawfare even in the face of the First Amendment. Not to mention the situation in Canada.

Also the danger of allowing the validity scientific hypotheses to be litigated and decided by juries.

Also the vulnerability of scientists who are not on the verge of retirement.

A sideline on Earth Hour in Sweden, called off in a provincial town because there are so many newcomers that it is not safe to turn off the lights for an hour.

    An oldy but a goody.

It’s now two years later and his case is still stagnating.

Steyn has probably done more for freedom than anyone else on the planet this century.

A point I made in strong yet polite terms to the Ruddock Panel enquiry (hah!) into religious freedoms in Australia.

Mark Steyn is brilliant. He just cuts through. His Q&As, Mark Steyn Show and on airs with Tucker Carlson are always spot on. He uses humor with scalpel like precision.

Can I also put in a plug for Dave Rubin who although he is an old closet Lefty has really promoted the cause of Free Speech over the last few years. His long form interviews with various members of the right (mostly) and left which invariably touch upon free speech have been entertaining and educational. Check them out.
