One more Dr Fred; he has decimated the EPA.

    Ha, ha.
I saw a presser on the WH lawn before he took off on Marine One to catch Air Force One to Canada to rip off Justin Castro’s eyebrow.
Incidentally, the helo was running at reasonable revs, which mostly drowned out the press corps questions, and you could only hear Trump’s replies. Normally those sorts of press conferences shit me, but I reckon it was a deliberate tactic by Trump to control what the microphones captured (ie him).
Anyway, through the wokka-wokka-wokka I heard snippets of one pitiful “question” (clearly framed around the US reputation among the G7) …
“EPA cuts …. Scott Pruitt … reputation …. he is an embarrassment.”
Amazing gall of the press corps.
Instead of asking a question, they make a statement of irrefutable fact that someone who is implementing precisely what Trump said he would do is “an embarrassment” because it upsets Frau Murkle and the Justine of the Fallen Brow.

England is the only country in the developed world where the generation approaching retirement is more literate and numerate than the youngest adults

Reason Mag had a story about this a few years ago. It really depends on who you test. Kids from the middle(ish) class tested higher IQ than previous generations. The story being cited may not be painting the real picture. I’d bet a few dollars that if you synthesized for population …. since the advent of high immigration levels fondly brought to you by British Labor to stuff the ballot, you’d find no difference or higher IQ.

This would be funny if it wasnt so ominous.

Germans are getting grumpy about having a few million unassimilated men dumped on them to the extent its brought up on nearly every public forum, much to the discomfort of their “betters”.

    So whats the answer?

Populist talkshows fuel rise of far right, German TV bosses told
Political shows’ negative focus on Islam erodes social cohesion, says cultural council

The head of Germany’s most powerful cultural body has called for the plug to be pulled on the nation’s multitude of political talkshows for a year, arguing that their populist agenda has helped fuel the rise of the far right.

Olaf Zimmermann, who heads the German cultural council, an umbrella group for organisations from art galleries to television companies, said public broadcasters needed to step back and rethink a format that has helped cement gloom-ridden public attitudes towards refugees and Islam, and propelled the AFD into parliament at last September’s election.

“I’d suggest for them, take a break for a year … though the length of the intermission isn’t the decisive factor. What is crucial is that they return with new talkshow concepts and try to come up with more suitable contents with regards to social cohesion in our society,” Zimmermann said, arguing that the public broadcasters ARD and ZDF were obsessed with refugee-related issues, often framing them negatively.

Imagine being so severely educated you think the answer to peoples concerns is to call for censorship on the issues?
The sheer amount of education it would take to get an otherwise sane person to believe the country wide equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and chanting “la la cant hear you” for a year or so will make the bad thing disappear.

Stimpy can you go to the krauts and insert some sanity into their cultural minister please?

Think nothing of it, Joh. Everyone goes to weddings, avoids the meal and heads to the fish&chip shop or the local for a counter. It’s become the fashionable thing to do these days and the wedding party really appreciates the thought.

If we didn’t in our hearts believe you are smarter than that JC, we would bless your heart.

Yes… of course, serving a conference table load of sandwiches that fall in half through the grated carrot fillings is a bit different to the designer avocado and crayfish followed by artesanal gay cake-confections people serve at weddings.

Its really easy to trim down your wedding guest list these days. Just hold the numbptyals in f***ing Bali or Chiang Mai. Not only do the bridesmaids have to blow $1000 on dresses and presents, they are up for airline and hotel too.

The Social Services Minister says the Prime Minister will be apologising for the “despicable” actions committed by the Catholic Church.

    This is the problem

The ‘Catholic Church’ did not committ despicable acts

A small number of Catholic religious did, and an even smaller number in the heirachy turned a blind eye

but the vast majority of the millions and millions of Catholic people that make up the Catholic Church are not responsible

It doesn’t really pay to hate Trump if you are a Republican
Sanford defeated in primary defined by support for Trump

Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.) appears to have lost his Tuesday primary, which became a referendum on his criticism of President Trump.

State Rep. Katie Arrington, who hammered Sanford as a traitor to President Trump, is projected to win the GOP primary in a victory that may spell the end of Sanford’s long political career in the state.

The Associated Press called the race just after midnight, with Arrington leading Sanford by 51-47 percent margin and 99 percent of precincts reporting. Sanford becomes the second incumbent to lose a reelection primary bid this cycle.

Sanford had never lost an election until Tuesday, even after he was caught having an affair in 2009 while governor. But his willingness to question Trump, who is lionized by the GOP primary electorate, proved politically fatal.

The congressman repeatedly criticized Trump both during the election and since the president took office. In 2017, he told Politico that Trump “has fanned the flames of intolerance” and has been one of the few GOP lawmakers to demand Trump release his tax returns.
That criticism became the centerpiece of Arrington’s campaign — she blasted Sanford as a “Never Trumper” on the stump and in campaign ads, arguing that the district would be best served by a Trump ally instead of an antagonist.

She also savaged him for his affair, airing an innuendo-laden television ad that told Sanford to “take a hike,” a reference to his initial cover story that he had been hiking the Appalachian Trail when he had really caught a flight to Argentina to see his mistress.

That strategy won Arrington a last minute endorsement of Trump, who tweeted his support for her hours before the polls closed.

“Mark Sanford has been very unhelpful to me in my campaign to MAGA. He is MIA and nothing but trouble. He is better off in Argentina,” Trump wrote.

“I fully endorse Katie Arrington for Congress in SC, a state I love. She is tough on crime and will continue our fight to lower taxes. VOTE Katie!”

However, it’s unclear how important that tweet was to the final margin, considering it was sent less than three hours before the polls closed.

Sanford addressed his relationship with Trump during his concession speech, which he delivered before the results were official but with the writing very much on the wall. He warned of the “inflection point” in both American politics and the GOP while defending his decisions to take on Trump.

“I’m neither for nor against Trump. I’m for ideas that I’ve long stood for of the entirety of my carer in politics based on limited government,” Sanford said.

“It may have cost me an election in this case, but I stand by every one of those decisions to disagree with the president because I didn’t think, at the end of the day, it was concurrent with the promises I made when i first ran for office or the voices of the very people of the First District.”

An excited Arrington addressed her supporters shortly after, reminiscing about her journey from working the “graveyard” shift at a Denny’s as a young mother to now closing in on being South Carolina’s first female member of Congress.

“I’ve been at the bottom of bottom, and now I’m on the highest of highs,” she said.

And she made her loyalty to Trump clear as she criticized her next opponent, Democrat Joe Cunningham, for being too liberal for the district.

“We are the party of President Donald J. Trump,” she told her supporters to cheers.
Sanford is not the first incumbent to pay for a lack of fealty to Trump—Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala.) was forced to a primary runoff earlier this month thanks to her repudiation of Trump during the 2016 campaign. But unlike Sanford, her hopes are still alive.

Arrington will now go on to face Democrat Joe Cunningham, a former ocean engineer turned lawyer who has mounted a serious campaign but is considered a significant underdog in a district Trump won by about 12 points in 2016.

A few years ago I was at a conference at that wedding-cake hotel at Brighton-le Sands. At lunchtime, I eschewed the smorgasbord (!) and went downstairs to find a Greek chippie. Picked out some flathead fillets, cooked on the spot, with big, fat chips

Standards in literacy and numeracy have been plummeting in Australia for two generations.

Those grade readers which were put out by the Vic. Edu. Department covered a lot of literary ground, especially the fifth and sixth grade editions. I remember learning some of the poems by rote, and reading favoured stories over and over with relish. Others not so much. 25 kids in a class today and you would need 25 teachers’ aides to nurse them through the illustrations alone.

P VO is right. The libs deserve a kicking for trying this on with the electorate.

Australian politics has understandably dropped out of the headlines in recent days with the goings on in Singapore. But that doesn’t mean that campaigning has slowed down in the three highly contested marginal seats of Longman, Braddon and Mayo. Their by-elections are due at the end of next month.

While before the campaigns started Mayo looked like the easy pick up of the three for the government, the polls suggest otherwise. The Coalition is actually in front of Labor in Longman and Braddon, by 52-48 per cent and 54-46 per cent respectively. Holding those leads until the end of next month will be a tough ask, however. A government hasn’t picked up a seat from the opposition in over 100 years.

But in Mayo — where the government hopes to win back a seat from the crossbench — the contest according to two recent polls isn’t even close. The former crossbench MP Rebekah Sharkie is way out in front of Georgina Downer. Both polls have the former Nick Xenophon Team MP ahead 58-42 per cent.

That well and truly makes Downer the underdog. But the long lead time to polling day should see her narrow the gap. Sharkie doesn’t have the resources of a sitting MP defending her territory because the citizenship saga forced her to resign. As a consequence, she is having to fund her own campaign, including with small community donations, against the might of a major party and against the local landed gentry.

Downer might be talented in her own right, and it’s good that Liberals have finally pre-selected a woman, but it’s hard to escape the conclusion that the Liberals have made an already tough contest even harder by picking a 4th generation Downer to enter parliament by winning the seat her father represented not that long ago.

If the polls are right and the Libs do take seats away from the Liars, then you could make a decent argument that the polls are swinging back towards the libs even though Newspoll shows them consistently behind. Sure, I know, there could be a swing against the Liars because of dishonest way they hid their foreigners in the closet.

No, it was no different in scale than anywhere else, probably less in fact.

Id disagree, but based on something other than blind prejudice.
For gay or deviant blokes up until the last 60 or so years a lot of what they would have received as counselling would have been along the lines of “Join the preisthood, repress your urges”.

And for most it might have worked.
However it also meant a larger than normal gathering by % of blokes with sexual issues.

Unfortunately that probably meant (through the confessional etc) people with sexual problems worked out who was “one of them” and in areas without strong leadership things could go wrong.

More a result of society and how the church was structured rather than any sinister agenda though.

The high number of gay priests also became evident in the 1980s, when the priesthood was hit hard by the AIDS crisis that was afflicting the gay community. The Kansas City Star estimated that at least 300 U.S. priests suffered AIDS-related deaths between the mid-1980s and 1999. The Star concluded that priests were about twice as likely as other adult men to die from AIDS.

Thoughts on the Darling Range by-election (WA State Parliament):

I was looking at the candidates, 11 in total, and they were the usual mix (Libs, Liars, Greens, Farmers and Shooters and Whatever, One Nation, Australian Christians), and there was another party called the Western Australian Party and two independents.

Being a conscientious citizen, I thought I should check their policies before completing my vote. The Western Australian Party is focussed solely on the GST issue, though there is bugger-all they could do about that in state parliament. They have nothing to say about renewable energy, size of government, cost of dog licenses, absolutely nothing on their web site.

I asked Mr. Google about the two independents and found nothing.

So, if you’re ever going to stand for parliament, put some policies together and make them accessible to everyone. You might be well known and very popular at the local bowling club, but if no one else knows anything about you, you will lose your deposit.

The thing to note was the sexual abuse of children increases in the 60s, peaks in the 70s, declines in the 80s, and returns to underlying rate in he early 90s. You probably see this occuring in other institutional settings. Beyond the social situation that emerged in the 60s, a possible reason is the spike in religious vocations that occurred in the immediate post- WW2 era that weren’t properly vetted at seminaries. Of course, there were also likely despicable networks acting covertly.

In 1968, Giuliani wed his second cousin, Regina Peruggi, who was the daughter of his father’s first cousin. (Think of your son/daughter marrying your cousin’s daughter/son.)

Giuliani at different points labeled the family connection as “second cousins once removed” and “third cousins,” before he was corrected, according to news reports. In a 1993 memo for his mayoral campaign, a Giuliani strategist noted the “weirdness” factor of the marriage, according to a copy posted on the Smoking Gun Web site. But such a marriage is completely legal. In New York, even first cousins can wed. Robin Bennett, senior genetic counselor at the University of Washington, said little scientific research exists about the risk of developmental difficulties for the offspring of second cousins. But she said, “for second cousins, the risks are likely similar to the risks of couples from the same ethnic population who also may have common ancestors.”

Giuliani and Peruggi did not have any children, and the marriage ended after 14 years.

Hanover was obviously his second wife. The fucker just busted up his third marriage? Wow.

If the Libs possessed testicles larger than hydrogen atoms they would fire the shit out of this useless leftwing fuck.

Reserve Bank governor Philip Lowe has endorsed the Coalition government’s planned income tax cuts as an “incremental step” in overhauling Australia’s tax code that will take the pressure off household budgets.

Speaking to business leaders in Melbourne after delivering a speech on stagnant wages growth, Dr Lowe called for employers to return to giving workers salary increases of at least 3 per cent.

Mr Lowe said the lack of solid wage rises across the country was “diminishing” the country’s “sense of shared prosperity”.

“People’s incomes used to rise at 3 to 4 per cent a year,” he said. “When they’re only increasing at 2 per cent a year … a lot of people are unhappy about that. The aspirations for their lifestyles are not being met.”

Dr Lowe said getting people back to a place where they feel like they are sharing in the nation’s prosperity was in the country’s “long run interest”.

Since when has the RBA governor offered advice on raising wages? This is the prick who actively placed a vagina quota at the RBA.

His frame of reference is monetary policy and not wages.

Lowe was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales,[2] as the eldest of five children in the family. He attended St Michael’s High School and Trinity Senior High School. Lowe later moved to Sydney[5] and was hired by the RBA straight out of high school. He was initially employed as a clerical worker in 1980 at the age of 17, while completing his undergraduate commerce degree at the University of New South Wales by attending night classes. He was awarded first-class honours and the University Medal on his graduation in 1985. He later completed a doctorate in 1994 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with Paul Krugman as his adviser.

It’s pretty astonishing the government hired the twerp for the top job at the RBA when he has no specialty in monetary economics. God help us.

Ive been away so I dunno if this has come up before, but the Commonwealth Public service Commissioner John Lloyd has taken early retirement amid allegations that he breached the APS Code of Conduct:

    https://www.canberratimes.com.au/politics/federal/john-lloyd-chaired-panel-recommending-candidates-for-role-that-could-decide-on-investigation-20180612-p4zl0z.html

Public Service Commissioner is a statutory appointment with wide powers and responsibilities in relation to encouraging, monitoring and reporting on the efficiency and integrity of the APS. The actual extent to which the powers are exercised seem to depend on the personality and the agenda of the particular Commissioner.

Many APS employees regard Lloyd as a Liberal stooge. This is not totally unfair. He seems to be the sort off guy who pops up whenever a Liberal government comes to power at Federal or State level and when that government loses power, he pops up somewhere else. There are similar apparatchiks on the Labor side His tenure as Commissioner seems to have been distinguished by neither innovation nor energy, but he faithfully echoed the Government’s position on APS wage rises.

The misconduct allegations appear to relate to the provision of information on APS enterprise agreements to the IPA. It’s not clear whether this information was confidential – EAs are public documents, whether it was provided using government resources or whether the allegations simply involve breaching the APS Values by compromising perceptions of the Commissioner’s political independence.

The complaint that the misconduct investigations were being carried out by an officer that Lloyd helped to select seems valid. The Public Service Commissioner and the Merit Protection Commissioner work closely together. The investigation should have been undertakes by the head of PM&C.

Lloyd has denied that his resignation has anything to do with the misconduct allegations, saying he’d already been planning to go. He must be in his late sixties.

The degree of child abuse that Dover’s figures shows peaked in seventies and tailed off in the eighties could well indicate what happened when the Victoria Police got their act together and cleaned up the criminal networks within the force that tampered with and destroyed evidence of child abuse, refused to prosecute the abusers and even gave heads up warning to child abusers when complaints were made.

When the police protection ended, the free shots at the kids ended.

Federal politicians, senior public servants, judges win pay rise

Australia’s federal politicians — along with the nation’s most senior public servants, agency heads and judges — have been awarded a 2 per cent pay rise as of July 1.

The decision by the independent Remuneration Tribunal means that the most senior public office holders in the country will have received a 6 per cent pay boost in their pay packets over the two-and-a-half year period from January 2016.

Previous pay rises included an increase of 2 per cent in July 2017 as well as an increase of 2 per cent in January 2016.

The decision means that Malcolm Turnbull’s annual salary will rise to $538,460 next month.

The Tribunal noted the decision to award a 2 per cent pay rise in July 2018 came at a time of low wage growth across the economy.

However, it said the decision was consistent with the increases that were allowed under the government’s new workplace bargaining policy released in February 2018.

“The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) seasonally adjusted March 2018 wage price index figure was 2.1 per cent,” the Tribunal noted.

“Seasonally adjusted private sector wages rose 1.9 per cent and public sector wages grew 2.3 per cent”.

“In Federal Enterprise Bargaining, the trends over 782 new agreements struck in the December quarter of 2017 show average increases of 2.5 per cent, up 0.3 points on the previous quarter, with private sector increases averaging 2.6 per cent (up 0.2 points)”.

The Fair Work Commission awarded an increase to the minimum wage and award minimum wages of 3.5 per cent as of July 2018.

So how many gay priests actually exist? While there’s a glut of homoerotic writings from priests going back to the Middle Ages, obtaining an accurate count is tough. But most surveys (which, due to the sensitivity of the subject, admiittedly suffer from limited samples and other design issues)

    Due process?? Wut dat?

Mueller: Russians I Indicted For ‘Meddling’ Should Not Be Allowed to See Evidence Against Them
Mueller seeks to hide evidence after US lawyers representing “Russian troll farm” he indicted show up in court

Special Counsel Robert Mueller likely thought the “Russian troll farm” he indicted would never show up in court as they were all Russian nationals with no fear of extradition.

As I reported last month, he was wrong.

Not only did the accused firm, Concord Management and Consulting, hire two American lawyers to show up in court in DC and plead not guilty, but they started filing a host of discovery requests.

Mueller responded by requesting a delay in the case but his request was swiftly denied by U.S. District Court Judge Dabney Friedrich.

On Tuesday, Mueller asked Judge Friedrich to keep all the supposed “evidence” he has against the troll farm secret, claiming Russia is still running “active ‘interference operations’ into U.S. elections” and showing the accused the evidence against them “could imperil ongoing investigations,” Bloomberg reports.

From Bloomberg, “Russia Keeps Meddling, Mueller Says in Bid to Guard Evidence”:

U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller warned that Russian intelligence services still have active “interference operations” into U.S. elections and that handing over certain evidence in a criminal case could imperil ongoing investigations.

Mueller on Tuesday asked a federal judge in Washington for an order to protect voluminous evidence sought by lawyers for Concord Management and Consulting LLC, one of three companies and 13 Russian nationals charged in a February indictment alleging election meddling via social media. Prosecutors have uncovered evidence of other individuals and entities who are “continuing to engage” in similar activities.

[…]Unauthorized disclosure of such evidence would help foreign intelligence services in Russia and elsewhere while undermining U.S. law enforcement and national security investigations, Mueller’s prosecutors wrote in Tuesday’s request for a protective order.

U.S. documents identify “sources, methods and techniques used to identify the foreign actors behind these interference operations,” Mueller wrote. Improper disclosure of that information would tip foreign intelligence services about how the U.S. operates and let them “adjust their conduct, thus undermining ongoing and future national security operations.”

Your honor, producing evidence of Russia’s trolling campaigns would endanger our “national security!”

If people learn of the B-tier memes they’re sharing on Facebook and Twitter it will destroy our democracy!

Prosecutors said they have gathered “unclassified but sensitive information that remains relevant to ongoing national security investigations and efforts to protect the integrity of future U.S. elections.” It includes the identities of cooperating individuals and companies, as well as links between the defendants, uncharged parties and foreign governments, that goes well beyond what prosecutors intend to disclose at trial, they wrote. They said they gave additional details to U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich under court seal.

Prosecutors asked Friedrich to bar any co-defendant of Concord from reviewing evidence until they appear in his courtroom to respond to the charges. They also want to regulate disclosure of “particularly sensitive material to foreign nationals” by first limiting it to U.S. lawyers for defendants.

Can it get any more obvious they have nothing?

Defense lawyers for Concord say they should be able to share evidence with [Concord’s Yevgeny] Prigozhin, but Mueller disagrees. “As long as Prigozhin chooses not to appear personally in front of this court, he is not entitled to review any discovery in this case,” the filing said.

[…]Under Mueller’s proposed plan, any foreign national who wants to disclose sensitive materials would have to go through a “firewall counsel” for the government, which would be separate from the prosecution team.

He’s just making up the rules as he goes.

Under these rules, the US can charge any foreigner they want with a crime and refuse to let them see the evidence against them unless they physically come to the US and show up in court.

Perhaps that could fly in a serious terrorism case, but this is a case about Russians sharing crappy memes […] on Facebook and Twitter to “influence our election”:

Judge Friedrich needs to shut this scam down and demand Mueller show his supposed “evidence” to the world.

The decline in abuse since the 70’s is due to a number of factors but I have a theory about these types who were attracted to religious orders back then.
They were gay and from strict religious families. They tried to suppress their sexuality through their teens and early twenties, resulting in a highly immature and stunted sexual persona.
    End result?
They can only relate sexually to kids who they can exert enormous power over. They have been rendered incapable of having a sexual relationship between equals.
As it became more acceptable to come out as gay, this aspect of weird suppressed sexuality reduced somewhat.

It’s impossible in the sense of going through each priest for the past 50 years, running an MRI on their brain and proving if they’re lying or telling the truth. But we don’t have that technology. What we have are stats that can be examined and from which draw a reasonable conclusion in figuring out how many there were. From the figures I saw a long time ago, the incidence rate was about average as per the rest of the population and other churches if statistical sampling holds water.

Don’t forget despite what the ABC and other lefties suggest, most of this was cut down about 25 year ago and the peak incidence was around the 60s and 70s. While the Determinations themselves provide no detail of the basis on which they have been made, the Tribunal does provide general advice on the sorts of factors that are taken into account in considering those submissions. This report on public office remuneration:

According to the best available data (which is pretty good, coming from a comprehensive report by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2004, as well as several other studies), 4 percent of Catholic priests in the U.S. sexually victimized minors during the past half century. No evidence has been published at this time which states this number is higher than clergy from other religious traditions. The 4 percent figure appears lower than school teachers during the same time frame, and certainly less than offenders in the general population of men. Research states that over 20 percent of American women and about 15 percent of American men were sexually violated by an adult when they were children. Sexual victimization is tragically fairly common in the general population, but luckily these numbers have been dropping in recent years.

I’m arguing that the avalanche of claims against the Catholic church has grown as news of financial settlements has filtered down to the depressed, the suicidal, the drug addled and alcoholic, the goateed, tattooed, cadaverous and obese unfortunates who the Catholic church has ministered to for centuries without criticism.

That is just one element of the claims universe.

However the systemic conniving, betrayals and cover ups allowing the terrible abuse to thrive over time is deeply shocking. That speaks to a very well entrenched and powerful cohort within the Church that facilitated this deviancy. Remembering that expectations of our Church are of the highest order.

You seem to be saying that it’s all over, it’s all good, it’s in the past, fixed. Perhaps a lot is, here in Australia but I very much doubt something so evilly well organised and long standing is so easily or quickly disposed of. I hope I’m completely wrong.

Thanks, but I was interested in the remuneration of the Tribunal members themselves. If linked to that of their “clients”, the suggestion of independence becones farcical, as also if set by Parliament.

    Oh Okay

I’m not a US citizen. Fuck Mueller. As Gateway guy says, he’s a dirty cop.

  212. feelthebern

Seriously I still can’t believe what happened yesterday in Singapore with Donny & Kim.
What an amazing time to be alive.

  213. hzhousewife

Ross Cameron must have skipped his meds tonight.
    No speeches.
    Just head on abuse.
    Fun to watch.

Yep, he went nuts ! Such fun !

I need a foxnews channel thread, then I wouldn’t have to talk to myself at the tv from 6pm till bedtime, I could type furiously instead and get a bit of curry back.

  214. feelthebern

    Monty loves Mueller.
As much as monty loves doughnuts.

  215. feelthebern

Ross Cameron called Melbourne Uni “intensely gay”.
    Outstanding.

  216. Armadillo

What are you getting at Arma. Explain.

Muller is charging those pesky Russians with “meddling in the US elections via social media”.

Your hands aren’t completely clean. Twitter will attest, and Sinc will “sing like a canary” once he’s water boarded. God help Tailgunner.

mOnster will probably end up with a “Medal of Honour”.

Seriously though, this is how ridiculous the whole “Wussia, wussia, wussia” thing has become.

Credit service shuts down payments on all gun purchases

Several gun-related businesses were suddenly — and without warning — disrupted in recent weeks when Intuit stopped processing credit card payments because sales were gun-related, The Post has learned.

mOnster will probably end up with a “Medal of Honour”.

only if it has sprinkles on it.

Can I explain what I think occurred? Yes I can. I’m not in any way suggesting it was right thing to do, but I don’t think the cover up was as intentionally evil as people suggest.

The priesthood by and large is a collective family. As in any family it may be very difficult for people to confront the truth head on – in that a family member whom you know is an evil c..t. The head in the sand goes into effect and hence why these peds were moved around. The high ups were hoping that by moving them around it would all go away and would stop offending.

mOnster will probably end up with a “Medal of Honour”.

It’s binary. He’ll either get the congressional medal for his courageous poo blogging at the Cat, or executed in Cranes court for being a dipstick lesbian.

Seriously I still can’t believe what happened yesterday in Singapore with Donny & Kim.
What an amazing time to be alive.

For me, I have had a few political shocks. Firstly Gough getting elected. Second Berlin Wall falling. Then 9/11 (day after Mum’s funeral, the word changed forever). Then Desert Storm, I remember the tv visuals of the tanks going across the desert, I felt very very very apprehensive about whether that was a good thing. Then Trump’s election week, amazing. Time will tell whether yesterdays Nork meeting rates up there, but it was a good thing I reckin so far.
I’m just listening to Nicholas Reece and Stephen Conroy being very annoyed that Trump would talk to the evil dicatator Kim baby, we can’t overlook his murderous regime etc etc – what exactly do they think we should do – starve them out, nuke ’em??? No answers there – wimps.

  223. feelthebern

The church bigwigs should have got some pipe swinger chaps to put those who abused children into wheel chairs.
    Like the sisters in Shawshank.
The church turned a blind eye because they were weak.

  224. Leigh Lowe

    Max at 10:08.
    Thanks for that.
Some dispassionate empirical data is always good.

  225. JC

Oh and the other very impoertant thing…

The horrendous damage it would do to the family if the ped stuff got out.

In other words it was stark fear that caused the cover up.

  226. feelthebern

    Data?
Leigh, the Cat isn’t that kind of place.

  227. feelthebern

    Ross Cameron off.
    Fiona Scott on.
    Good bye Paul Murray.

    Serious question.
Is Fiona Scott a bit mon-gey?

  228. Infidel Tiger

I love the way how everyone talks about how The Church has changed and it’s all good.
It’s run by a disgusting Goddamned Commie with a refugee foot fetish.
    You all disgust me.
    Just outrageous.

  232. JC

He’s a little too demonstrative, Bern. A little too much for my liking.

  233. Infidel Tiger

I don’t mean that as a criticism either

Zyconoclast, your links to miscellaneous news articles are really interesting to me, thank you, please keep it up. Also, Baldrick, so pleased you seem to be recovering well from your big op, and thank you for your military posts, I always read them and sometimes end up following the internet down the rabbit hole, most enjoyable.
    I love the Cat !

  235. feelthebern

    Tonight was a cracker.
Sending Reece & Conroy to the boundary.
Maybe he needs morons to dispatch to be on song?

Will Muelar, the foul xunt, protect the muslim president foul xunt?

    Of course.

Most folk do not know how the scum deleted ‘things’ and stopped FBI investigations.

Our Australian scum are now taking over with mark of the beast, elimination of money, control of spending, support of communist APS and State PS, Universities and media.

Some folk think that the Australian Bitching Communists are it when the fact is that Turnbulls Communist Party places advertising with all the others.

    Who cares eh!

Dude, you got to frequently go with the momentum trade, or you end up with no capital. What if attacking the Church pisses off the big guy at the pearly gate? When it’s your turn, Pete brings up what you said at the Cat and tells you to turn left and head to the dungeon gate? Why take such unnecessary risk? A variation of Pascal’s wager you should always keep in mind.

  239. feelthebern

    Saint Peter reads the Cat?
    Oh my.
