    PAUL KELLY
Hamel was a mini-model for how World War I could be won

    The Australian
    12:00AM July 4, 2018

This morning on the high ground of the Australian Memorial Park near the tiny French village of Le Hamel and within sight of the Villers-Bretonneux memorial, the Battle of Hamel, once the preserve of military buffs, will be honoured in an act of revived memory.

It is the centenary to the day. The timing on July 4, 1918, American Independence Day, was the decision of the Australian commander, Lieutenant-General John Monash, the architect of victory. Hamel was a small battle that gained fame because of its stunning success, its military conception that integrated tanks, aircraft, artillery and infantry, the near-perfect execution of a plan, and its electrifying elevation of Monash to a new status.

It didn’t change the course of the war, but it captured the turning point that occurred over the next few months. In its purest form, Hamel was a mini-model for how the war could be won. Monash was the right man at the right time, able to synthesise the correct military prescriptions.

Aware by mid-1918 that the war must shift to the allied offensive, Monash selected a demonstration target — eliminating the bulge in the German line near Hamel, located between Villers-Bretonneux and the Somme. Monash did not invent the new spirit of allied offensive. That was the stance being embraced by his superiors: Supreme Commander Ferdinand Foch, British commander Douglas Haig and commander of the British Fourth Army Henry Rawlinson.

But Monash came to exemplify that spirit and, critically, he showed the entire allied command that it could work and how it could work. At this time, every allied commander assumed the war would extend into 1919 but such assumptions were dissolved by the events of July-August 1918.

From the Oz. Posted on the wrong thread – July 4th an important date in Australia’s military history.

In Denmark, Harsh New Laws for Immigrant ‘Ghettos’

COPENHAGEN — When Rokhaia Naassan gives birth in the coming days, she and her baby boy will enter a new category in the eyes of Danish law. Because she lives in a low-income immigrant neighborhood described by the government as a “ghetto,” Rokhaia will be what the Danish newspapers call a “ghetto parent” and he will be a “ghetto child.”

Starting at the age of 1, “ghetto children” must be separated from their families for at least 25 hours a week, not including nap time, for mandatory instruction in “Danish values,” including the traditions of Christmas and Easter, and Danish language. Noncompliance could result in a stoppage of welfare payments. Other Danish citizens are free to choose whether to enroll children in preschool up to the age of six.

Denmark’s government is introducing a new set of laws to regulate life in 25 low-income and heavily Muslim enclaves, saying that if families there do not willingly merge into the country’s mainstream, they should be compelled.

For decades, integrating immigrants has posed a thorny challenge to the Danish model, intended to serve a small, homogeneous population. Leaders are focusing their ire on urban neighborhoods where immigrants, some of them placed there by the government, live in dense concentrations with high rates of unemployment and gang violence.

New algorithm uses brain scans to tell how smart you are

    Brain scans vs. intelligence scores

“We are doing very well,” Dubois continues, “but we are still quite far from being able to match the results of hour-long intelligence tests, like the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale.”

He continues, pointing out another potential study weakness. “Since the algorithm is trained on intelligence scores to begin with,” he says, “how do we know that the intelligence scores are correct?”

Indeed, since the creation of intelligence tests over a century ago, these cognitive tools remain highly controversial to this day.

Some claim that there is no such thing as an objective measurement of intelligence, given that many intellectual traits are culture-specific.

In January 1916 Grant enlisted as a private in the 34th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force, but when his unit was about to leave for overseas service he was discharged because of regulations preventing Aboriginal people leaving the country without government approval. He again enlisted and in August embarked for France to join the 13th Battalion. On 11 April 1917, during the 1st battle of Bullecourt, he was wounded and captured. He was held as a prisoner of war in a camp at Wittenberg, and later at Wünsdorf, Zossen, near Berlin. He became an object of curiosity to German doctors, scientists and anthropologists—the sculptor Rudolf Markoeser modelled his bust in ebony—and was given comparative freedom.
A popular member of his battalion, Grant had also impressed his German captors as a man of superior intellect; to his fellow prisoners he was aggressively Australian. His attainments included a wide knowledge of Shakespeare and poetry and considerable skill as an artist and bagpipe-player.

    The Intelligence Community Assessment:

We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the U.S . presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump

    Further:

We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him

    But interestingly:

The FBI had a collection of reports a former foreign intelligence officer was hired to compile as opposition research for the U.S. election, referred to as the “dossier,” when the ICA was drafted. However, those reports remained separate from the conclusions of the ICA. All individuals the Committee interviewed verified that the dossier did not in any way inform the analysis in the ICA- including the key findings – because it was unverified information and had not been disseminated as serialized intelligence reporting.

So, we know that there was an attempt by Russia to discredit Clinton, but not whether PissGate was an attempt by Russia to discredit Trump – or just a fabrication cooked up by the DNC.

One prevalent method for magicking money across the border, in defiance of strict capital controls, begins with companies called junkets. They bring wealthy clients from the mainland, where gambling is illegal, to the VIP rooms of casinos in Macau. There, the junkets extend the clients credit to play baccarat, a game of luck at which they’re likely to win or lose a negligible amount. At the end of play, clients cash out their balance in the currency of their choice. The debt is collected in yuan, in China. Everybody wins: The clients have converted yuan into dollars or euros or sterling, and the middlemen get a cut.”

  53. Second thoughts about the sexual revolution:

First, the destigmatization and mass adoption of artificial contraception, beginning in the 1960s, followed by widespread legalization of abortion, has radically changed the world in which we now find ourselves.

This is an important countercultural point. Over the years, a great many people have claimed that sex is merely a private act between individuals. They’ve been wrong. We know now that private acts have cumulative public effects. Individual choices, such as having children out of wedlock, have ended up expanding the modern welfare state, for example, as the government has stepped in to support children who lack fathers. The explosion of sexual activity thanks to contraception has been accompanied by levels of divorce, cohabitation, and abortion never before seen in history. And as the MeToo movement shows, the same shift has contributed to a world in which on-demand sex is assumed to be the norm, to the detriment of those who resist any advance, for any reason.

The truth about pensions defies the lies of our leaders

“So where is our money Malcolm?”

Nick Minchin on the Tony Jones ABC TV Program Q & A 11/09/2008 stated quite clearly that funds were not, have not and are not collected and held in a bank account waiting for the government to pay it out in the form of the Old Age Pension, or words that meant, “exactly that.”

As an ex Australian Federal Government finance Minister, now shadow defence minister, this man knows that his statement on that television program, was a blatant lie (and he said it with a look of such sincerity on his face).

Well, it certainly was collected and it amassed such huge amounts that this government and those preceding couldn’t help themselves. Without any right, they plundered it and spent billions of it over the years. This was money earned by the people themselves through hard work and often deprivation (as a legislated obligation, part thereof was collected by the Tax Department for this very purpose).

To this day this money is collected as a tax which originally, specifically, and intentionally was to fund, “the Aged Pension.”

To dispel misinformation from Party Politicians and their spin doctors, here are some historical facts that every Australian (especially the young who are under the miss-guided belief and/or assumption that they are funding the Aged Pension from their current hard work) should know.

The young are in fact funding their own Pension Fund and to add insult to injury they are forced to pay into a super fund.

    1939 – 1945
    World War II

    1942 – 1943
As a Wartime measure, the Federal Government gained sole control over Australian Income Tax. Labor Prime minister (Ben Chifley) introduced three bills to establish the National Welfare Fund, to be financed by a Compulsory Contribution (levy) of one and sixpence in the Pound (20/-) on all personal income.

Opposition Leader (Robert Menzies) stated that the Compulsory Contribution (levy) should be kept completely separate from other government income streams, that it should be shown separately on the Taxation Assessment and paid straight into a “TRUST” account, and not mixed with the General Revenue.

Menzies said “The stigma of charity should be removed from the Age Pension.” and that “It should be an entitlement earned by the person’s personal contribution to the fund.”

    1946
Prime Minister Chifley agreed and established The National Welfare fund as at 1/1/1946.

A “Trust” Fund with the Parliament as “Trustee.” The Compulsory Contributions (levy) commenced as at 1st January 1946. It was shown separately on the personal Tax Assessments for 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949 and 1950 and the compulsory levy was properly paid straight into the Special “Trust” fund and Welfare claims were paid out of the fund.

The balance in the fund in 1950 was almost 100 million pounds.

    1949
Robert Menzies became Prime Minister and he introduced Bills to amend the acts governing the National Welfare Funds.

The Compulsory Contributions (levy) was then grouped with the Taxation Assessment and appeared as one amount on the Taxation assessments and was paid as one amount straight into the Consolidated Revenue Account. The sabotage of the National Welfare Fund had commenced.

The Opposition Labor Party had collaborated in this sabotage by remaining silent instead of opposing Menzies’ action.

    1951 – 1985
The compulsory levy of 7.5% now included in the tax continued to be collected and placed in the Consolidated Revenue Account treated as General Revenue and spent, until 1985.

    1974 – 1975
Labor Prime Minister (Gough Whitlam) abolished income test for all persons 70 years of age and over and paid pensions to all people over that age.

    1975
Liberal Prime Minister (Malcolm Fraser) cancelled the Whitlam legislation.

    1977
Liberal Prime Minister (Malcolm Fraser with Treasurer Philip Lynch) transferred the balance in the Welfare Fund Account (approximately $470,000,000) to Consolidated Revenue Account.

    1985
Australian Labor Government repealed acts No. 39, 40 and 41 of 1945 (The National Welfare Fund Acts). Thus the funds finally ceased to exist yet the 7.5% levy continued to be collected as a proportion of the Income Tax revenue. It also introduced the (much maligned) Income and Asset Tests, thereby excluding millions of levy and tax paying Australians from receiving Social Services Pensions.

This money these self funded contributions paid as a percentage of the total income tax collections are today worth far more than the amount of means tested pensions paid out.

Actuaries have calculated the non-means tested entitlement due to each retiree, today is in excess of $500 per week.

This surely debunks the politician’s claim that the generation are paying a proportion of their current taxes to cover the payments made to pensioners. The obvious short fall has been swallowed by the Government’s Taxation black hole.

The historical summary above highlights the fact that politicians of opposing political parties each contributed to the agenda to destroy the entitlement as it was intended. Why? They had no mandate to do so, it clearly was not and is not the will of the people.

While Party Politicians on both sides are controlled by a few people who are hidden from public view yet are open to manipulation and outright corruption, there can be no certainty of the payment of pensions.

Only a majority of truly Independent representatives can bring about a change from Government under corporate control, to Government for the People, of the People, by the People.

Just because a cabal of political miscreants become so greedy that they change the way a tax looks in the Ledgers, IN NO WAY REMOVES THE FACT THAT THIS TAX IS STILL COLLECTED TO THIS DAY TO PROVIDE FOR THE SUPPLY AND CONTINUATION OF THE OLD AGE PENSION – A STIPEND TO THE ELDERLY CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY WHO HAVE WORKED FOR DECADES OF THEIR LIVES TO BUILD A NATION AND HAVE FROM WORKING DAY ONE OF THEIR LIVES, BEEN PAYING 7% PLUS OF THEIR TAXES DIRECTLY TOWARDS THIS PENSION.

    The old age pension:

    is not a privilege

    Is not a right

    Is not a gift

    Is not welfare

The Old Age Pension is an asset owned and accrued by each Australian Citizen who has funded this asset from their very own purse.

The governments of the day were employed to amass, secure, invest and manage a fund that in its first 5 years bulged to almost £100,000,000, an amount that today would be worth approximately $240 million.

They did amass, secure, invest and manage – and the figures were colossal and frightening to them and hence they conspired to hide them back into the consolidated Revenue bucket and to this day, that bucket has been brimming with a 7.5% tax collected specifically and only, for the Old Age Pension.

No, young Australians, you are not paying for the welfare of Baby boomers, you are paying for yourselves, new immigrants, the needy in society requiring social services and welfare, dole recipients and the bludgers, BUT YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR THE OLD AGE PENSION OF ELDERLY AUSTRALIANS WHO HAVE WORKED ALL THEIR LIVES IN THIS COUNTRY AND PAID THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES.

The amount of damage done by sloppy progressive thinking must be near incalculable.

Leyonhjelm is certainly escalating this issue – he ain’t gonna apologise that’s for sure no matter what the ‘pussy’ says

Liberal Democrat senator David Leyonhjelm says his description of women as “bitches” and calls for them to “shut the f… up” have been “mischaracterised as sexist abuse” when they’re “just abuse”.

Senator Leyonhjelm claimed his use of derogatory language was “normal Australian behaviour”, as Foreign Minister Julie Bishop became the latest senior politician to call for him to apologise for telling Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young to “stop shagging men” and “f… off” following a Senate debate about violence against women.

“I think we need less name calling and more civility in public life,” Ms Bishop told the Seven Network. “Senator Leyonhjelm has offended Senator Hanson-Young, she’s taken great offence at his comments, therefore he should apologise.”

Ms Bishop also criticised Senator Leyonhjelm’s description of Malcolm Turnbull yesterday as a “pussy”, after the Prime Minister called on him to apologise to Senator Hanson-Young and linked disrespect for women to violence against them.

“We shouldn’t be calling the Prime Minister names, we should be acting with more respect towards each other. I suggest more respect not less in public life,” Ms Bishop said.

Labor leader Bill Shorten repeated his calls for Senator Leyonhjelm to apologise, saying he was concerned the libertarian senator was attempting to appeal to a “small fringe” within the Australian electorate and ignoring what the “other 90 per cent” think.

“I think the smartest thing for Senator Leyonhjelm to do would be to apologise,” Mr Shorten said. “Part of what concerns me about this debate is that I’m now concerned that Senator Leyonhjelm thinks that he’s appealing to five or 10 per cent of the electorate and he doesn’t really care what the other 90 per cent think,” he said.

“I mean people are sick and tired of politicians calling each other names. I get that. But I think this is more than just everyday name-calling. I don’t think that women should have to go to work and have to put up with that free character analysis from people who it’s just not their right or their position.

“He may be a senator in the parliament, but that doesn’t mean that you’re entitled to cast judgement on every other person just because you’re a senator. Whilst it may appeal to a small fringe within the Australian electorate, I think it’s undermining the perception which people have of Australian politics, which is already, let’s be fair, not too high.”

Sky News commentator and former Tony Abbott chief of staff Peta Credlin revealed Senator Leyonhjelm had told her to “shut the f… up” on Twitter when she disagreed with him over gun laws, telling him in an editorial on her show on Monday night: “Good luck with that, you idiot. I won’t. Because on many occasions, I believe you, David Leyonhjelm, have brought the dignity of elected office in this country into disrepute, and I only hope at the next election voters send you packing.”

Senator Leyonhjelm has also described Network Ten journalist Angela Bishop as a “bigoted bitch”, and wrote back to an elderly constituent telling her to “go away and stop proving you are a bimbo”.

Asked whether he had a problem with women, Senator Leyonhjelm said his comments had been mischaracterised.

“I think you’re mischaracterising it as sexist abuse when it’s just abuse,” he told ABC radio.

“I am an Australian, and I’ll tell people they’re bastards or bitches or to f… off irrespective of their gender.

“If I think they should shut up, I’ll tell them to shut up. This is normal Australian behaviour. I don’t discriminate between men and women. I will tell them both equally.

“If I think they’re wrong, I’ll call them out, I’ll tell them to shut up.

“Whatever abuse I level at people it is a fraction of what I receive back again, of course. (Ms Credlin) just called me an idiot, for example, so she’s quite capable of dishing it out.”

Asked whether a higher standard should apply to someone holding elected office, Senator Leyonhjelm said he did not believe he had ever been asked to withdraw a comment in parliament, unlike Senator Hanson-Young.

His exchange with Senator Hanson-Young last week took place in the Senate chamber, but was not part of formal debate. “She is called out for her unparliamentary, obnoxious behaviour practically every week in the parliament. I’m not. So I maintain the standard in parliament,” he said.

“Outside parliament, or when it’s not in Hansard, I am a normal Australian. I’m elected by normal Australians. Normal Australians call people bitches, bastards, shut up, various things of that nature.

“Now if you say to me, ‘OK now you’re elected by Australians, now having been elected you’re now going to start behaving differently from Australians’, it’s a ridiculous proposition. Ridiculous.”

ABC radio host Hamish Macdonald said any “ordinary Australian” using such language towards colleagues in a normal workplace would lose their job.

“If I spoke to one of my female colleagues in that way, I would immediately be reported to human resources. I would be surprised if I didn’t lose my job,” he said.

Senator Leyonhjelm responded by saying that Macdonald would get the opportunity to vote for someone other than him at the next election.

Leyonhjelm defends calling Turnbull a “pussy”

Asked why he had described Mr Turnbull as a “pussy”, Senator Leyonhjelm said he was making the argument that the Prime Minister “shouldn’t just lie down and roll over misandry”.

“Misandry is equally as bad as misogyny,” he said.

“The Prime Minister is on record as having called out misogyny. Fine. I’m happy to call it out myself. But he should also call out misandry. It’s equally as bad. It’s also sexism. And for not doing so he’s a doormat, basically. He should call it out.”

Asked whether he was enjoying the attention his dispute with Senator Hanson-Young had given him, Senator Leyonhjelm said it was all part of the job, but he hadn’t sought it.

“We have exchanges in the Senate all the time, and Sarah decided to stand up and make a statement after Question Time on Thursday and have a swing at me,” he said.

“If I was to let that go and not stand up for myself, I’d be the pussy, wouldn’t I?”

Senator Leyonhjelm denied Senator Hanson-Young’s allegation that he had “slut-shamed” her.

    “Absolutely not,” he said.

“What I was doing in the chamber was calling out misandry, double standards. She said words to the effect that all men are rapists.”

Senator Hanson-Young has denied saying “all men are rapists”.

“That’s a lie. I never said those words. I never inferred those words. And frankly, I don’t believe them,” she told the Nine Network yesterday.

“We were having a debate over a motion that had been put forward that said that Australia’s laws for imports should be weakened to allow personal Tasers and pepper spray to be imported into Australia so that in order to, the argument was being made that women could use these personal devices to protect themselves from violence.

“I said that I didn’t think putting Tasers on the streets would make women safer from men.”

Senator Leyonhjelm also cited comments Senator Hanson-Young made on the Seven Network a fortnight ago as evidence that she claimed “all men are incapable of controlling themselves and men are pigs and morons.”

MacDonald played a recording of her comments, which were made in response to calls for women to be careful following the rape and murder of Melbourne woman Eurydice Dixon.

“It is not women’s fault that men behave like morons and like pigs. It is time that these people are held to account and we call out this type of behaviour,” Senator Hanson-Young said.

“She didn’t say ‘all men’. She just said ‘men’, MacDonald told Senator Leyonhjelm. “That’s your interpretation, isn’t it?’’

“Well it’s your interpretation that she deliberately left out the word all,” Senator Leyonhjelm said.

“She didn’t say ‘some men’ either.

“There was one man responsible for the rape and murder of Eurydice Dixon in Melbourne. “That’s what she was referring to, so one man. She then refers to men being unable to control themselves and being pigs and morons, it’s sufficient for me to believe that she is a misandrist, she’s a sexist.”

Asked whether he has a problem with women, Senator Leyonhjelm said: “Of course not. I’ve been married 34 years.

“That’s a very silly question to ask. I’m calling out misandry. I have a problem with people who don’t accept the fact that sexism includes misandry as well as misogyny,” he said.

“A bias against men, which Sarah Hanson-Young has, is misandry. It’s the other side of the coin to misogyny.”

Senator Leyohjelm said misandry and misogyny were equally dangerous.

Asked how often the hatred of men led to their rape and murder, he said.

“I have no idea, you probably know more about that than I do.”

The Federal Court has quashed a decision to cancel the visa of Richmond Tigers star Dustin Martin’s father, Shane Martin.

Mr Martin was deported to New Zealand in 2016, after then immigration minister Peter Dutton cancelled his visa citing his criminal record and links to an outlaw bikie gang.

The orders were allowed by consent, meaning lawyers for Mr Dutton did not fight the final outcome, in court in Sydney yesterday.

When Mr Dutton’s lawyers foreshadowed dropping the case late last year, the Home Affairs Department argued the outcome would not result in Mr Martin being allowed to re-enter Australia.

Mr Martin would have to apply for a visa to return, which is available on arrival in Australia because he is a New Zealand citizen.

But that application would carry with it the same character test under which he was deported, which means it is unlikely he would be allowed in.

Quashing the cancellation of the visa is based on a technicality. At the time of making the decision, the Minister said Mr Martin was or had been a member of a criminal organisation.

In other cases, the court had found that a Minister had to make a definite decision, rather than present an ‘either or’ prospect, when making such a ruling deemed to be in the national interest.

“Had Shane been in Australia when this decision was made, he would probably be a free man in Australia,” Mr Martin’s lawyer John Kotsifas told the ABC.

“But unfortunately, he was deported to New Zealand and not in Australia at the relevant time.

“In Shane Martin’s case he had no criminal history which would entitle the Minister to cancel his visa with confidence, so he relied on other grounds which the courts have found to be invalid.”

The Federal Court also ordered the Commonwealth to pay Mr Martin’s legal costs.

Unlikely Tinta, Douglas was ‘stolen’, which would explain his superior intellect.

Douglas Grant was born into a traditional Aboriginal community in the Bullenden Kerr Ranges of Northern Queensland in the early 1880s. Originally named Poppin Jerri, his early family life was torn apart in 1887 when his parents and much of his Aboriginal community were killed in what was believed to be a tribal fight. He was rescued just moments from death by scientist Robert Grant, a Scottish immigrant surveying in the area at the time. There were no other survivors. Grant decided that the best course of action was to care for the little boy himself. Naming him Douglas, he raised him as his son.

There are substantial constitutional questions posed by the current laws:

    • Two years ago the United States Supreme Court decided that a poor person cannot be put in jail because he is unable to pay a fine. Does a lower court have the power to imprison a husband who also is too poor to make support payments?

    • The Supreme Court has also held that a person cannot be imprisoned for more than six months for criminal contempt without having received a jury trial. Is it possible to extend this to cover civil contempt?

From the most primitive cultures to the most advanced civilizations, man has had to manufacture things; his well-being depends on his success at production.

    — Ayn Rand

Silly Ayn Rand. Our success depends on digging minerals out of the ground and importing people.

Time we got rid of the myth that modern mining is just ‘digging’ stuff out of the ground. It makes it sound like the Seven Dwarves.

In fact, modern mining is production, even if the ore or whatever is not processed here. It is very high tech, and very competitive on international markets.

It is not some geezer with a pick and shovel hoping to strike gold. The whole process, from finding stuff to evaluating whether it is worth digging up to deciding on and installing the technology to do it is absolutely production, and nothing to be ashamed of.

Why people scornfully characterise projects that can cost a billion dollars in investment before they produce anything as just ‘digging stuff up,’ as though any fool could do it, is a mystery.

    @TessaAkerman

Accused Bourke Street driver James Gargasoulas will stand trial in November if a jury finds him mentally fit.

A Supreme Court jury last month failed to reach a unanimous verdict on whether the 28-year-old was fit for trial but Justice Mark Weinberg this morning ordered another jury investigation into his mental state.

Mr Gargasoulas is charged with six counts of murder and 28 counts of attempted murder relating to the January 2017 tragedy in Melbourne’s CBD.

Mr Gargasoulas was diagnosed with schizophrenia while in custody but the Supreme Court previously heard he was not responding to the treatment available in prison.

Mr Gargasoulas’ barrister Theo Alexander today told the court his client would “greatly benefit” from treatment which was available only at the Thomas Embling psychiatric hospital.

“We maintain that Mr Gargasoulas is unfit to be tried,” Dr Alexander said.

    Which capital you silly bastard?

So you lot have decided to go with “er but that’s not technically rock spidering”. Good job, that argument is really going to win the day. Joe Paterno should have used that one.

Okay fatboy. Here’s the thing. Bill Clinton was known to travel to Lolita Island with Richard Epstein on Epstein’s private jet. It’s known that Epstein was using that island to have sex with young women and in some cases young girls. Epstein used to have parties there with his friends to have sex with these girls and women. Clinton traveled down there 17 times we know of. Are you going to now… right here and now… accuse Clinton of being a rockspider.

    Yes or no?

Your national welfare fund is a crock.

Go and read some newspapers published in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

The money that set up the fund came from consolidated revenue, it never collected enough to pay the annual child endowment, window’s pension age pension unemployment disability and other benefits it was supposed to cover and was abandoned within four five years when the government realised it was an unaffordable monster, though we are pretty much in the predicted predicament anyhow.

As Judith Sloan has pointed out the capital value of an Australian age pension is over one million dollars, which is why anyone who migrates here over the age of 55 should never be eligible for it.

monty is very, very angry, my friends.

  234. Makka

Makka, you assert that the Democrats are the human trafficking sickos, yet it’s the Republican government which has lost touch with the carers of around 1500 young children of asylum seekers placed in the community.

They are illegal entrants, children who were in fact separated from parents BEFORE arriving illegally in the US. They arrived UNaccompanied.

    This is what leftist rag Wapo’s Fact Checker thinks of your bullshit mOron;

    Share The Facts
    Tim Kaine
    U.S. Senator (D-Va.)

“This administration is separating kids from their parents and unable to account for 1,500 lost children! Shame.”

    More from WaPo fact checker;

Kaine – Dem; ‘This administration is separating kids from their parents and unable to account for 1,500 lost children!’

This startling claim has spread like wildfire online; Kaine (Democrat) is not alone in tweeting it. Did the government suddenly lose track of 1,500 children?

    In a word, no.
The Department of Health and Human Services resettled 7,635 children in the United States from October 2017 through December 2017.All 7,635 children were resettled by HHS.”

mOron, here’s more fake news from your Kenyan’s scummy team,

A number of prominent liberals — and even a former Obama administration official — shared the photos, mistakenly believing they depicted the Trump administration’s treatment of immigrant children who were forcibly separated from their parents.

Jon Favreau, who worked as a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama, tweeted, “This is happening right now, and the only debate that matters is how we force our government to get these kids back to their families as fast as humanly possible.”

Favreau said he later deleted the tweet after social media users pointed out that the photos were taken during the Obama administration.

Calm down, we haven’t worked that out yet.
But Sydney or MelVegas I reckon.

  236. Oh come on

Don’t forget Clinton protégé Anthony Wiener, aka Carlos Danger, who’s in the slammer for sending dick pics to a 15yo.
