It’s a pick-up line, it doesn’t have to be funny.

    No wonder you’re single Doc.

The reason I’m single is because I’ve been married, ‘dillo. Once you’ve looked into the hellish pit of matrimony and escaped its baleful influence, you run like hell whenever it rears its hideous head.

Women don’t want me to say this. Neither do the men still trapped. I guess it reminds them of freedom.

  2. Death Giraffe

I have multiple quotes from Tigger acting like a screaming hysterical old woman stored on my old phone from 2015 and 2016.
I would use them here now, but since I myself have had the odd mental struggles lately, I am more sympathetic to those suffering from temporary insanity.

  3. JC

IT and JC jumped on and off the Trump Train more than a pair of hobos riding the rails in the Great Depression.

Sure thing. I most certainly did, because Trump wasn’t living up to the expectations I have for a candidate vying for such a big job. Some of you guys seem to think that it us/you who has to preform at political rehearsals ….like as in are you good enough for the candidate. That’s very omega behavior and hugely unattractive attribute.
When Agent Orange does good, he gets complemented. When he does stupid shit, he will be berated. For instance, Trump is a complete hammerhead on trade.

  4. Rae

Seems like friends of the Pussy Grabber in Chief have decided to shaft Stormy. In a different kinda way.

  5. Makka

No harm done IT. It’s easy to pick your crazy from the fair dinkum.

Google news is showing headlines akin to Trump storming the Normandy beaches but in a bad way. He must be doing an awful lot of good. Even Kerry is in on it; Trump destroying our reputation around the world!

Um, thr krauts can’t vote in a US election, John.

  6. Snoopy

Yup, peak stupidity, I think we are there.

Hang around. You’ll find we’re not even close.

  7. Armadillo

His Orange Eminence is spot on with this. The US pays to protect Germany from Russia, and Germany does everything humanly possible (energy wise) to make Russia filthy rich. On the immigration front, Germany has embarked on a death wish. It’s almost as if they are trying to create a solicalist utopia with Russia as their benevolent benefactor. It really is quite bizarre.

It’s almost as if Merkle was a Russian plant from the beginning, but this time they are going to “get it right”. Communism didn’t work. Socialism didn’t work. This is some sort of weird hybrid of capitalism with elements (just the good ones) of socialism and communism thrown in.

The left have never given up “the dream”. It just needs a “tweak” here and there. They honestly believe that shit.

It’s always their argument. Communism wasn’t ALL bad. Socialism isnt ALL bad. It just needs a “tweak”.

News Alert. It’s fucking evil. The whole damn lot of it.

  8. Infidel Tiger

    I understand Trump on trade.

He senses how weak China really is and knows he can break them with a bit of temporary pain.

Those Ching Chong Commies will come a running soon. First they’ll pump out some fake GDP numbers and all the idiot western commentators will fall for it, but they are in deep guano.

  9. Artiste was one of the first people here who caught onto Trump with his answering back and general contempt of the media. CL and I were the other two. You were asleep at the wheel when this was going on.

Dude, please. Tailgunner and I were on the Trump train very earlier. I think you were still behind Jeb at this stage!

  10. JC

There is one argument though, that Agent O doesn’t get. A great deal of the US military spending is centered around projection. The US has to project it’s power across the pond in order to project power in Europe. The Euroweenies don’t have to spend as much, or rather in order to maintain parity they have to spend equal the Americans less the cost of projection. That’s nowhere near 4%

  11. Makka

No. I was on the Trump train before ANY of you bedwetters. Most of you were still in the Cruz/Rubio/Paul camp.

  12. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST, OR SOMEWHERE ELSE…

Mark this day on your calendar. To me, it is just another ordinary Thursday night, but for you, dear reader, it was the most memorable moment of your life as an amateur political pundit.

I’ve seen some reports that the Democrats are going to double down in 2020.

The theory is that the millennials are such terrible savers with so much debt, that a candidate promising a debt jubilee could get their vote.

Trump won perhaps because millennials did not vote (some metrics say 1 million stayed at home).

The odds in Vegas are so far backing Kamala Harris as the 2020 DNC Presidential candidate. I thought they’d go for Maggie Hassan, but the odds are a good predictor.

She is being cast as “worse than Oprah”. Policies on the table:

    1. Debt Jubilee – personal debt, student debt.
    2. Hillarycare. Not just Obamacare, think “NHS”.
    3. Universal basic income (UBI).

Harris could win by appealing to millennials who have the toxic combination of entitlement and genuinely having been shafted.

This will be one hell of a test for the election model devised by Professor Ray C Fair.

Then you have to think about how much debt the US is already in. The only way out to such policies would be to go into a truly dangerous level of public debt or to wipe out savings to fund the debt forgiveness (through the direct printing of currency or otherwise).

  13. Infidel Tiger

I think you were still behind Jeb at this stage!

Woah. Sinc has already banned one other commentator here today for far less than that.

Can someone explain what is a HELE power station. I hope is has nothing to do with the root-word Helios.

HELE is just Ultra Supercritical rebranded to emphasise the reduction in emissions from burning the coal at a hotter temperature rather than the extraordinary increase in electricity from the same amount of coal. But that’s the real point: the same amount of coal burnt at a higher temperature will give up to 30% more power. What a fucking amazing thing coal is; chocolate sunshine. And these putrid green bastards want to ban it.

    I understand Trump on trade.

That’s because you and Trump have about as much understanding of international trade as a retard in a sheltered workshop. No wonder you agree.

He senses how weak China really is and knows he can break them with a bit of temporary pain.

Look, there’s no question China should reduce it’s barriers. That would be a great thing. However Agent O is also trying to manage trade by forcing the Chinese to buy American agricultural products, which incidentally are subsidized. That’s called managed trade!

As for China stealing patents, well I’m sure there’s some of that, but nowhere near what Agent O suggests. Patent law in the US is mostly bullshit. You can obtain a patent for sneezing differently, it’s so fucked up. The US uses patent law as a form of protection and no one should be subjected to that American bullshit.

Those Ching Chong Commies will come a running soon. First they’ll pump out some fake GDP numbers and all the idiot western commentators will fall for it, but they are in deep guano.

Their numbers seem to be reasonably good. HSBC and other banks estimate Chinese GDP with various markers that has conformed to the official stats.

People here don’t seem to understand trade and capital flows. How the fuck to you or anyone else know whats driving what? How do you know that the trade deficit is being driven by the trade side of the demand for capital? This is why decent economists always suggests that trade in a fiat regime should be ignored. It’s meaningless.

Australia has run a trade deficit since the first settlement. Has this made us badly off? STFU about trade.

Macron denies Trump’s claim that NATO powers agreed to increase defense spending

Macron denied that a new spending agreement had been reached, pointing instead to the 2 percent benchmark set in 2014.

“Everyone agreed to raise spending as they agreed in 2014, and everyone agreed to respect the commitments they made. We reaffirmed a credible budget strategy that meets our needs,” the French president said.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel made a similar statement, while leaving the door open to the possibility of a new spending target down the road.

“We’ll have to talk about to what extent we can do more on defense. We presented the current situation. But considering the discussion among the European allies, not only the Americans, I think we need to ask ourselves consistently what more we can do,” she said.

Earlier, Trump had said that the allies had agreed to dramatically increase spending.

“Tremendous progress has been made. Everyone’s agreed to substantially up their commitment. They’re going to up it at levels that they’ve never thought of before,” Trump told reporters after the second day of the Brussels summit.

“Commitments were made,” he added. “The commitment was at 2 percent, ultimately that’ll be going up quite a bit higher than that.”

Macron also pushed back on media reports that the US leader had threatened to unilaterally pull out of NATO. Trump “never at any moment, either in public or private, threaten to withdraw from NATO,” he said.

The French president also criticized Trump’s suggestion that the target for NATO members’ defense spending should be raised from 2 to 4 percent of GDP.

NATO members agreed in 2014 that they would aim to spend 2 percent of GDP on defense by 2024. Trump upped the ante during the Brussels summit, demanding that member states increase spending from 2 percent to 4 percent. He also urged allies to reach the goal “immediately” rather than through a gradual spending increase.

What good is NATO if Germany is paying Russia billions of dollars for gas and energy? Why are there only 5 out of 29 countries that have met their commitment? The U.S. is paying for Europe’s protection, then loses billions on Trade. Must pay 2% of GDP IMMEDIATELY, not by 2025.

  34. C.L.

What worries me a bit is that Trump is seeking ‘commitments’ from the Europeans to ease the burden of the United States. Why not just cut US spending by the amount you want them to take up? They take up that slack or they don’t; what does the US care?

Vatican recognises ‘LGBT’ for the first time

The Vatican has recognised “LGBT” for the first time, as bishops admitted that the Catholic church must be more inclusive.

In a working document published on Tuesday senior Church figures said “LGBT youth” wanted to “benefit from greater closeness” with the Church.

The shift marks a departure from previous language used by the Vatican, which has in the past included “persons with homosexual tendencies”, while more recent documents have used the term “homosexuals”.

Pope Francis has also used the word “gay” at press conferences and in interviews.

The document also recognised that “some LGBT youth” wanted to “experience greater care by the Church”.

At a press conference Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, the secretary general of the Vatican’s synod office, told reporters that the term was included because it had been used by young people and the church was following suit.

“We are open. We don’t want to be closed in on ourselves,” he said.

The report was released ahead of the Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will cover the topic “Young people, the faith and vocational discernment”, and will be held in October this year.

“The Synod’s primary aim is to make the whole Church aware of her important and not at all optional task of accompanying every young person, without exclusion, towards the joy of love,” said the Cardinal.

Because there is much more to it than that.
    Global warming.
Germany is virtue signalling it’s green credentials by doing a South Australia (oddly has a German background too) and closing down it’s coal and nuclear, while behind the scenes importing it’s power from QLD, er I mean Russia, paying the Ruskies billions.
Basically the American taxpayer is paying Russia to power Germany while it gets to be defended as well, by the overwhelming difference in USA to German GDP and percentages thereof.
If it wants to virtue signal and promote glowball warming while paying Russia billions, Trump is going to make them pay, not the American Taxpayer, but even more importantly, make them pay for their Glowball Varmening Bullshit and call them out on it.
It’s why that little bit was filmed.
To remind the world, this global warming and “renewaballs” is bullshit and Russia now own Germany because of it.
Germans have always hated and feared Russia and many a German tonight will not have know what Trump just taught them.
There’s so many more angles as to why what he said to Nato is just utterly perfect.

Open Letter from Yale Law Students, Alumni, and Educators Regarding Brett Kavanaugh

To Dean Gerken and the Yale Law School leadership,

We write today as Yale Law students, alumni, and educators ashamed of our alma mater. Within an hour of Donald Trump’s announcement that he would nominate Brett Kavanaugh, YLS ‘90, to the Supreme Court, the law school published a press release boasting of its alumnus’s accomplishment. The school’s post included quotes from Yale Law School professors about Judge Kavanaugh’s intellect, influence and mentorship of their students…

Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination presents an emergency — for democratic life, for our safety and freedom, for the future of our country. His nomination is not an interesting intellectual exercise to be debated amongst classmates and scholars in seminar. Support for Judge Kavanaugh is not apolitical. It is a political choice about the meaning of the constitution and our vision of democracy, a choice with real consequences for real people. Without a doubt, Judge Kavanaugh is a threat to the most vulnerable. He is a threat to many of us, despite the privilege bestowed by our education, simply because of who we are…

This weekend, the London Pride Parade was rocked by a protest from a group of anti-trans lesbians who call themselves “Get the L Out.” After trying to block the front of the parade, the group ended up being able to essentially lead the parade by walking ahead of it, but their offensive message prompted a sharp rebuke, particularly from cisgender lesbians who objected to their exclusive message.

According to Pride in London, “Get the L Out!” was “not a registered parade group,” but they could not be forcibly removed because their protest “was not a criminal offense.” They demanded to march behind the rainbow flag at the start of the parade, but were instead moved far in front so as not “to legitimize them or their message,” which Pride in London called “a shocking and disgusting” level of “bigotry, ignorance, and hate that is unacceptable.”

That message, according to the group’s fliers, was the bogus claim that “lesbian rights are under attack by the trans movement” and that lesbians should leave the LGBT movement to form their own separate movement. This belief is founded in all-too-familiar myths that trans people are somehow a threat to women’s privacy and safety and that trans people’s identities are not legitimate — that they should be defined according to their genitalia, not their gender identity. Likewise, the group argues that lesbians who romantically partner with trans women aren’t really lesbians.

One of the protesters reportedly yelled, “A man who says he’s a lesbian is a rapist,” a statement that both misgenders trans women and paints them as a violent threat to cisgender women. Jan Williams of the group Object, a member of the “Get the L Out” coalition, told GayStarNews, “Only women can be lesbians. A man who has surgery can never be a lesbian.”

“Get the L Out!” also espouses the emerging narrative that teenage girls are somehow being convinced by social pressure to transition to being transgender men rather than being affirmed as gender nonconforming women. This refers to the fake diagnosis “Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria,” invented by anti-trans parent groups to justify their rejection of their transgender kids.

Following the protest, many cisgender lesbian women took to social media to decry the group’s message and tactics and affirm their support for transgender people, adapting the hashtags #LwiththeT (or #BwiththeT), #SistersNotCisters, and #NotADebate. Many of them labeled the group’s members as “TERFs,” which stands for “trans exclusive radical feminists” and refers to women who believe that feminism requires rejecting the validity of trans people’s identities.

German Govt Hires Ex-Stasi Agent To Patrol Facebook For ‘Xenophobic’ Comments

An organisation run by a former Stasi agent has been recruited by the German government to patrol Facebook in a bid to stamp out “xenophobic” comments. Those caught posting material that the government disagrees with are likely to face criminal prosecution.

Germany is set to welcome one million new immigrants this year, a move that has not been without controversy. Determined to see his fellow Germans embrace their new multicultural homeland, Justice Minister Heiko Maas has decided to crack down on those citizens who criticise the influx, especially those who take to their own private Facebook accounts to do so.

Maas has recruited the help of an organisation – Network Against Nazis (Netz Gegen Nazis, or NAN) – to aid him in his crackdown. NAN was founded by, and according to it’s website works in partnership with, the Amaedu Antonio Foundation, run by Anetta Kahane, who between 1974 and 1982 worked for the Stasi under the code name ‘Victoria’.

    Anetta Kahane, hey?

Fact. Everyone knows how Uncle George “broke the Bank of England”. Well, breaking the Bank of England is just exaggerated pr nonsense. Uncle George’s fund made US$ 1 billion betting against the pound.

Uncle George had the recently retired former Chairman of the Bundesbank, Karl Otto Pohl, on his fund’s international board. It was a bullshit made up position because Uncle G really didn’t have an international board. He just had a bunch of snitches he paid for information that he called an international board.

Pohl gave Uncle G the inside scoop that the Bundesbank would not support the pound at the bottom and the Limeys were in their own. In other words the Brits would leave the snake. Karl was later paid something like US$50 million for the scoop.

Researcher uses HPV vaccine to treat patient with skin cancer

Squamous cell carcinoma is the second-most-common form of skin cancer. Evidence suggests the human papilloma virus plays a role in the development of some types of this skin cancer.

Two years ago, a 97-year-old woman whose right leg was covered with squamous cell tumors went to see dermatologist Anna Nichols, M.D., Ph.D., at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Surgery is the standard of care for most patients with skin cancer.

“She was not a candidate for surgery because of the sheer number and size of her tumors. She wasn’t a candidate for radiotherapy, again for the same reasons,” said Dr. Nichols, an assistant professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, whose report on this case was published online July 3 in JAMA Dermatology.

In 2017, a case report by Dr. Nichols showed the HPV vaccine Gardasil reduced the number of new basal and squamous cell skin cancers in two patients. Tim Ioannides, M.D., a voluntary faculty member at UM, suggested using the vaccine as an off-label treatment by directly injecting it into the tumors.

Since her patient had no other options, Dr. Nichols offered her the treatment. It is considered an “off-label” use because Gardasil is only approved for the prevention of cervical, anal, vulvar and vaginal cancers caused by the human papilloma virus.

“I think we had a really reasonable expectation and good data that this was actually going to, at the very least, do no harm to this patient, and possibly provide some benefit,” said Dr. Ioannides. “To have this type of result in such an advanced patient I think was beyond all our expectations.”

The patient was first given two doses of the 9-valent HPV vaccine in her arm, six weeks apart. A few weeks later Dr. Nichols directly injected several but not all of the patient’s tumors. The direct intratumoral injections were given four times over 11 months.

“All of her tumors completely resolved 11 months after the first direct tumor injection, and she has had no recurrence,” Dr. Nichols said. “It has been about 24 months now since we started with the treatment.”

“They decided to try it and it worked. It killed them all off,” said the patient, who is now looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday this fall.

This orange behemoth is monstering his gas customers into coughing up billions of dollars immediately, while threatening them with withdrawal of protection if they don’t cough up another 2% of GDP. How easy, once Trump has the Euroweenies in the right headspace, to then pivot to a deal that takes care of the Weenies gas needs and also suits Trump’s desire for a better Euroland trade outcome.

Trump: “Hey, you guys spend a lot on gas with Russia. Why not buy more gas from your pal and benefactor ,the US of A and I’ll think about not pulling out your missile protection? Say, 50%?”

    Putin: ” Faaaaaaaaaaaaarrk”

    Weenies: “Gulp……..Where do we sign”

For all the use it was for protecting Ukraine, you have a point; weapons are ineffective with no balls.

  174. Zatara

NATO had no obligation to protect Ukraine. Ukraine wasn’t a member of NATO and in fact specifically withdrew pursuit of NATO membership in 2010.

According to polls conducted between 2005 and 2013, Ukrainian public support of NATO membership remained low. However, since the start of the 2014 Russian military intervention in Ukraine, public support for Ukrainian membership in NATO has risen greatly.

    Gee, ya think?

Do you think Ukraine may have been more enthusiastic about joining if NATO was more determined and disciplined in it’s demeanour?

    “Mac” is a cracker.

  178. Zatara

    RobK,

You implied NATO forces failed a responsibility to protect Ukraine. They had no such obligation.

Why Ukraine withdrew its application for NATO membership has much more to do with them having been a vassal state of Russia/USSR/Russia for so long than anything NATO did or did not do.

  179. RobK

    Zatara,
I see your point but wasnt there an agreement regarding the Ukrainian denuclearization.?

  180. Zatara

    RobK,

Yes there was. One that Russia violated.

    The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America reaffirm their obligation to refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, and that none of their weapons will ever be used against Ukraine except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations;

Ukraine, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America will consult in the event a situation arises that raises a question concerning these commitments.

So… they took it to the Security Council at the UN. Which resulted in this piece of fluff.

What none of those documents said is this:

The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.

    – Article 5, UN Charter.

Bottom line, Ukraine rather foolishly gave in to wide international pressure (hello UN) to give up their nukes (which were the only thing that kept Russia at bay) without actually replacing them with an appropriate stick to club the wolf with. Like signing up to NATO for instance.

Blaming that on NATO is like blaming the insurance company you didn’t buy a policy from after your house burned down.

It sort of goes like this. God owns you lock, stock and barrel. This is why the first Christians described themselves as slaves of god, more than than, bondslaves, meaning voluntary slaves who stay slaves for love of their master, for life. If you want to hang on to your labels of gay or queer or whatever, you don’t want to hand over your sexuality to God, which means you don’t love god, don’t trust him toand don’t want to serve him. No problemo. Shove off then. The church is not there to “care for you”. It is there to redeem your soul so you can care for a broken world. But thanks for proving yet again that homosexuality is the ultimate form of narcissism as many a good theologian has pointed out.

Look at the history of WWI and WWII and you see that Germany has never been self-sufficient for fuel. The only three options are:

[2] Bring it in by ship (which they also have been doing).

Had an agronomist friend send me an aerial photo of a district she was flying to for work, as remote as vicco gets and it was obviously beyond redemption for 2018, but the good thing about the season cutting off so early is that they destocked early at high prices, freeing up their hay and grain reserves to be sold at big money, plus they have dodged the expense of spring fertiliser and the expensive chemical spraying applications.

The UN has absolutely no business declaring a referendum invalid nor can they make it illegal for a territory to declare independence. The precedent was set by the Republic of Kosovo and their independence referendum in 1991, so arbitrarily changing the rules is rank hypocrisy. But, the UN has no business drawing judgement on the outcome of elections in any case. They have sat back and watched decidedly questionable elections all over the place.

Rejection of the Crimean independence vote was entirely politically motivated, and obviously so.

As a result of his demands, Mr Trump said countries had acquiesced and “we are doing numbers like they’ve never done before or ever seen before’’ and “everyone agreed to up their commitment’’. He insisted NATO was much stronger than it was two days ago and the US commitment to the alliance remained “very strong”.

“What they are doing is spending at a much faster clip up to the 2 per cent level,’’ Mr Trump said. “Now we are being treated fairly.’’

VENEZUELANS already struggling to find food, medicine and other basic necessities have a new shortage to worry about: cash.

Troubling shortfalls of Venezuelan bolivars are forcing many in this distressed South American nation to form long lines outside banks several times a week to withdraw what little cash is available.

So let me get this straight… there’s hyperinflation but the problem is that the central bank can’t print money fast enough to keep up?

That is so retarded. Any dickhead could figure out that hyperinflation is caused by the central bank printing TOO MUCH CASH you dingbats. People are going back to barter because they have rejected the Venezuelan bolivar as a viable mechanism of exchange.

    What experts say
Economists say the central bank has not printed bills fast enough to keep up with inflation, which according to the opposition-run congress, reached an annual rate of almost 25,000 percent in May.

“It’s a very primitive payment system but it’s also very primitive for a country not to have enough cash available,” said Luis Vicente Leon, an economist.

That guy sure knows nothing about economics if he thinks printing bills faster will “keep up” with the inflation being caused by printing bills too fast to begin with. Where do they find such people? Why not interview a 10 year old who could explain it??

The union movement is urging a vote in the Longman by-election for a self-declared white supremacist and convicted criminal ahead of Liberal National Party candidate Trevor Ruthenberg, in what’s been described as a leadership test for Bill Shorten.

Queensland Council of Unions general secretary Ros McLennan has authorised election material telling voters: “On your ballot paper, number every box in order of your preference and put LNP Trevor Ruthenberg LAST.”

Following the directive would mean putting Australia First Party candidate Jim Saleam, a former neo-Nazi, ahead of Mr Ruthenberg.

The how-to-vote instruction, linked to the union movement’s “Change the Rules” campaign to overhaul industrial relations laws, contradicts Labor’s position that Dr Saleam should be put last on the Longman ballot.

But Ms McLennan, who has been touted as a future Labor candidate, yesterday stood by the position, arguing Mr Ruthenberg was a bigger threat to workers than Dr Saleam.

TWO patients took their own lives and a third, carelessly labelled “low risk” by staff, tried to hang herself with a household item that should have been banned, in the space of just three days at Cumberland Hospital.

Root Cause Analysis reports by NSW Health obtained by The Daily Telegraph can today reveal how a dire lack of beds and staff at the state’s biggest public mental health facility is seeing people discharged far too early.

At times they’re discharged without “comprehensive” plans or any “engagement with the family”. The documents — Root Cause Analysis reports of the three incidents by the Western Sydney Local Health District — also raise concerns staff may have doctored patient notes to make it look like they were doing more checks than they actually were.
