It’s not just about Stormy any more, JC. The new one is Karen McDougal. Plus there’s probably Shera Bechard, who also got an abortion. A pattern is starting to form.

So, the list to impeach Trump is popular vote meant Mrs Clinton was really the winner, locker room talk, Russian collusion, Trump insane, Trump’s family colluding with Russia, Stormy, treason with being pals with Putin to bring down America, and now a Karen McDougal and abortion.

Will something stick, is anything real, does anyone really care if the jobs are there and the situation of black Americans is picking up and citizens feel more hopeful.

Bringing home some durries is now reported as a “drugs” bust and a “threat”:

AIRPORT security officials have been put on alert after crew members from two airlines were caught smuggling contraband into Melbourne.

Jetstar said four flight attendants, believed to be three men and a woman, were sacked after they flew in from Bali late last month with 3.5kg of tobacco strapped to their bodies and hidden down pants.Melbourne Airport security ‘alert’ after flight crews caught smuggling…

Craig Palmer, a Victorian regional commander for the Australian Border Force, said officials were aware of the threat of airline crew members smuggling in contraband.

“Anyone coming into Australia will be scrutinised, including those who come in an official capacity,” he said.

Criminologist James Martin said organised crime syndicates might be behind the smuggling attempts.

“They will target anyone that can get drugs into a country. If screening procedures are too stringent, they will bribe people doing the procedures,” Mr Martin said…

About 15 per cent of tobacco consumed is black market, and the trade costs nearly $2 billion a year in lost taxation revenue, a 2017 KPMG report found.

And the demand for the black market drug is on the rise, with 15 per cent of all tobacco consumed in Australia last year sold illegally.

The ABF-led Illicit Tobacco Task Force seized almost 60 million cigarettes in a recent nationwide bust.

It came after a year-long investigation into a large-scale illicit tobacco importation and money laundering scheme by a serious organised crime syndicated linked to South East Asia.

The Complete Steve Bannon EuroNews Interview
This is a fabulous 45 minutes with Steve Bannon being interviewed by EuroNews, or at least listening to him speak, and they get schooled by him on quite a few topics. The questions are not as well miked as he is so at times hard to hear, but often they are fairly typical of what he calls “the propaganda arm of the global elites” or more simply “the opposition.” His view that populism and nationalism are not dirty words has merit, and he has had wide experience in careers to arrive at a pretty good view of how the world works. This dates from May 2018 so results in Germany, Hungary and Italy were known.

That is how far down the rabbit hole we are.

Well said, Cohenite. But next time a little less emotionalism and fanfare. You over-flour at times.

Mueller should be given two options when he fronts Crane’s Court. Death or exile.

  26. So, here’s Giuliani’s quote to the NYT:

“Nothing in that conversation suggests that he had any knowledge of it in advance,” Giuliani told the newspaper of the payment to American Media Inc. Giuliani added that Trump told Cohen that if he did pay McDougal, it should be in the form of a check instead of cash so that it could be properly recorded, The Times said.

“In the big scheme of things, it’s powerful exculpatory evidence,” Giuliani said.

And here’s the latest from WaPo:

In the September 2016 conversation, Cohen and Trump were discussing a plan by Cohen to attempt to purchase the rights to McDougal’s story from AMI for roughly $150,000, according to one person familiar with recording.

On the tape, Trump can be heard urging Cohen to make sure he properly documents the agreement to buy the rights and urges him to use a check — rather than cash — to keep a record of the transaction, the person said.

It is unclear why Cohen and Trump sought to purchase the story from AMI and then did not complete the transaction.

So within an hour or so of the statement by Giuliani, it gets shot down in a screaming ball of flames. The adults are in charge LOL.

A STUDY is underway to see what marine and freshwater species would be most suitable for an aquaculture industry on Groote Eylandt.

TP – That would be a good industry for aboriginal peoples to get into.
There’s an aquaculture operation just north of Ncl at Port Stephens.
Helping aboriginal high schoolers to go into that stream of agricultural/zoological science would be a useful thing, as the industry is quite technical. But it shouldn’t be beyond the capability of many aboriginal kids, so long as they know that it exists. I suspect GEMCO would fall over themselves to offer scholarships.

Groote Eylandt may not be the best location as the currents may not be sufficiently strong to sweep away the waste products from fish cages. It’s a bit shallow there. But there’s a good history in the Gulf of aboriginal owned and operated corporations. The concentrate barges from the Century mine have been an aboriginal-owned and operated business for many years until recently when the mine was depleted.

She was assisted by a seedy lawyer whose baggage would fill the hold of an A380.

Consequently American TV watchers are utterly sick of Stormy and Avenatti’s antics.
They come over as the dregs of a particularly bad batch of bootleg booze.
    America has a Stormy hangover.

And now M0nty is invoking more ladies of uncertain repute courtesy of Mueller the intrepid Wussian-hunter.
Their campaigning field has been thoroughly marched over by the armies of the not very righteous MSM. Slim pickings remain. It is logical that the American public would think “if Stormy is the first and best that Mueller could come up with, then these new ladies must be even less plausible than she is”.

If this is a strategy it is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Good luck with that blue wave.

Ayaan Hirsi Aly has a great piece on the Sudanese gangs, islam and the general incompatibility of groups brought to Australia and the West by the fungus sniffing elites:

In 2015 I developed a framework for identifying the characteristics of those immigrants who would be more or less likely to integrate, based on data from the past 50 years of migration experience from Middle Eastern and African nations to Europe. I identified four common types of immigrant: adaptors, coasters, fanatics and menaces. These categories are not rigidly separate and change across time, but they may be useful for reflecting on the Australian context.

Immigrants are diverse in age, country of origin, gender, language and in the levels of income they enjoyed before embarking on their journey to Europe. Some have been there for generations but more than a million have arrived in the past three years. Nevertheless, they have several things in common. They all came from societies that are not free. Their identities along with their loyalties and views have been shaped by those circumstances. They have attitudes to religion, violence, sex, money and time that are radically different from the attitudes of Europeans.

Empirical data across the board has shown that the European nations that took in these immigrants have struggled to integrate them.

A confidentiality agreement entered into by both parties for a consideration is not bribery.
That one party finds it is uncomfortable after the fact is just karma: they didn’t have to sign the agreement. I’ve been under many such confidentiality agreements for work, they paid me well nnot to tell other people stuff and I did not do so.

Trump’s voters get him because not only is he we, but we are he. We were not snowflaked-for-life by effete professors who themselves never had negotiated tough life-or-death serious deals. Instead we live in the real world, and we know how that works. Not based on social science theories, not based on “conceptual negotiating models.” But based on the people we have met over life and always will hate. That worst boss we ever had. The coworker who tried to sabotage us. We know the sons of bums whom we survived, the dastardly types who are out there, and we learned from those experiences how to deal with them. We won’t have John Kerry soothe us by having James Taylor sing “You’ve Got a Friend” carols.

Most people learn by age two that language can be used for telling people things about what you have seen in the world. Before that, kids just make noises to express their feelings. M0nty has never got beyond that point. So the correct translation of a m0nty post is always “Waaaaaahhh!”

Can be deep. You can drop an anchor right by cliffs. Port Langdon+NW Bay are shallow. East and west GE are different, different climates too, one gets rain the other bugger all. Prawn farming would be just silly, there are so many nurseries that recruit out to the major wild caught fisheries. The contour comes close to the east coast of GE and drops right off, the north has plenty of bays suitable for aquaculture and was the proposed site of the giant clam farm. Canberra didn’t want it to happen then. Tides are not as big as Darwin, currents take over further offshore. Cyclones hardly ever. Seaweed is another possibility, we could get two harvests annually and support downstream processing to value add. Labour intensive but ideal for family businesses likewise trepang. I should point out that playing a lot of sports like basketball, that drives high impact through the feet makes you more likely to get bone spurs, not less likely. The spur comes from a recurrent injury that has not sufficiently been allowed to rest up, and thus triggered calcification. Exactly how far you can push yourself depends on the individual. This can be a symptom of potassium and/or magnesium deficiency (both highly soluble metals, so your body can run out easily if you are not eating the right things) because the tighter muscle is more prone to tearing. It can also simply be someone exercising more than they really should. It has nothing whatsoever to so with having an “athletic build” nor with being a “picture of health” nor is it in any way related to how tall you are. This article is typical journalistic bullshit.

Trump’s Twitter feed is gold mine for foreign spies

‘foreign intelligence agencies are utilizing President Trump’s tweets in numerous ways while building his personality profile. The most obvious ways are by performing content analysis of his tweets, which could then be matched against information collected from other sources about major US policy decisions. Additionally, foreign intelligence agencies could identify media sources that the US president seems to prefer, and then try to feed information to these sources that might sway his views. Countries like Saudi Arabia and Russia may have done so already’

These were among the first elements of the “Administrative State”.

Like other elements, including Their ABC, SBS, the HRC, and many other statutory bodies established to operate without democratic ovesight while funded by the taxpayer, they need to be abolished.

The fascist left has been responsible for establishing, or corrupting existing, many of these bodies. The staffing of the commissioners or board members is often by a supposedly independent process which, on closer examination, is controlled by bureaucratic organisations without democratic responsibility. They need to be brought under ministerial control, or cut loose from the Budget.

No. Bone spurs in the feet, as the PGiC dodged the Draft with, are usually caused by osteoarthritis (no-one has claimed he had it) or, more commonly, plantar fasciitis. The latter is easily corrected with orthotics (special insoles worn temporarily in the shoe on the affected foot). But, if you have a compliant doctor and pay him well no doubt bone spurs can be described as a life-threatening condition.

They can’t be totally non-responsive to the politics of the moment in the conduct of monetary policy, but generally the western CBs are trusted by markets. If they weren’t, bond markets would reflect the risk of hyperinflation. That isn’t the case.

One example that I can offer that was extremely suspect of political interference was the RBA just before the 07 election. The RBA raised interest rates very shortly before the election. On Southern, something funny happened on The Project last night when far-left provocateur Waleed Aly crossed to Southern’s event for an interview. The interviewee was (of course) a far left-wing ratbag. (See memo above). About 30 seconds into old mate’s diatribe he questioned why Southern should get a visa when “the racist Peter Dutton” was shutting out “refugees.” Then … screen freeze. Suddenly, mysteriously, the feed was lost. Aly – presumably being given advice through his ear-piece – quickly distanced The Project (that is, the Ten network) from the actionable utterance.

A rather disparate group of us had come together to cross the Simpson. Breakfast at Dalhousie Springs a pleasant and routine affair, until one female piped up that she could not prepare her fare in a pan which had just been used for cooking snags and bacon. All the sands of the Simpson were eventually employed to scarify the offending utensil and the metal was stripped of the lingering stain.

  202. JC

On the old thread, JC mentioned a market body which would provide a useful source on interest rates. I forget what it is, he might remind us?

Boambee, a few years ago, during and after the GFC, there were very interesting discussions about the conduct of monetary policy during the crisis. The one economist who came out on top and really made a difference on this subject was Scott Sumner, a Chicago school trained professor. He came up with the proposition that the GFC was caused by the central banks and interest rate targeting was the primary cause of the downturn.

In order to avoid this problem going forward, Sumner suggested that CB’s should give up interest rate targeting and move towards nominal GDP targeting, which incidentally was initially raised by Hayek in the latter part of his life. Hayek suggested CBs should target income. Income and GDP are close to the same thing.

Sumner suggested we do away with interest targeting and have the CBs target expected NGDP derived from a futures market. Interest rates would be set by the markets.

In my opinion, although we haven’t got to his idea, the large CBs seem to be looking at NGDP much more than they were and monetary policy guidance has taken the front seat. We”re not there, but we could see something like Sumner’s proposal over the next few decades. It moves at snails pace…

As I noted earlier people do not fall out of 11 story apartment Windows it seems it was to rival African gangs and another Airbnb this time ending in death. Now that plastic shopping bags have been outlawed, the effort will be on expanding the anti-sugar campaign. Once that is firmly implemented, the full force will descend on meat.

Meanwhile, the issue will be kept simmering. Already the ABC online “news” has at least two or three anti-meat articles a week.

  208. Mater

    Let’s try this with a news.com article:

    Attn: Australian journalists.
    Subject: Lauren Southern
    From: JournoList

    1. Coverage of Southern’s Australian speaking tour and the violent responses to it should emphasise that the “two sides” are to blame. Police are there not to ‘protect’ Southern or control her detractors but to “separate” and “mediate” the “two sides.”

“It is disappointing that we had to use significant resources to mediate between two groups with opposing views,” said Commander Tim Hansen. “Their actions put their lives, the lives of the public and the lives of police officers at risk.”

    2. It is preferable to call the people outside her venues “protesters” or “anti-fascist protesters.” Interviewees should preferably be Southern’s critics. Footage of arrests should preferably be of Southern supporters. Footage of bloodied or injured persons should preferably be anti-Southern protesters.

A PROTESTER screaming “I love Muslims!” rushed the stage at far-right commentator Lauren Southern’s Melbourne event and was bundled off by security.

Right-wing activist Neil Erikson filmed protesters before being hauled away from police. He and two other men are charged with affray and riot over an incident outside an event by controversial commentator Milo Yiannopoulos last year.

    3. Southern should be described as a “provocateur” or “the far-right provocateur.”

Victoria Police is reportedly charging the Canadian provocateur than $67,000 for their presence at the event.

Ms Southern was expected to cause trouble, with the alt-right YouTube star making headlines since she touched down in Australia

    What d’ya know, it works!

  218. Bruce of Newcastle

He came up with the proposition that the GFC was caused by the central banks and interest rate targeting was the primary cause of the downturn.

JC – That’s rubbish. The GFC was just a classic panic like all the other ones. Recovery was slower because Obama was Prez, and his policies were toxic to business, who were cautious to invest since no project made the cut due to red tape and lefty crap. Then Obamacare hit and massacred the animal spirits through the 30 hr/week limit, the 50 employee limit and sky-high premium hikes hitting consumers. Who then had no money to spend. Small businesses battened down and stayed small.

When the sheep stampede for the exit there’s nothing the Fed can really do. Lowering interest rates is futile since the banks won’t lend to SMEs and if they do they lend at high rates – 9 or 10% no matter what Libor is. They know the risks of default in a recession.

Pushing on the string doesn’t do a great deal except enrich the financial types. Does little for the real economy.

CBs targeting NGDP is pretty futile too since NGDP is policy linked. The Fed can’t make Congress pass economy friendly laws therefore QE won’t do anything real.

JC – That’s rubbish. The GFC was just a classic panic like all the other ones. Then Obamacare hit and massacred the animal spirits through the 30 hr/week limit, the 50 employee limit and sky-high premium hikes hitting consumers. Who then had no money to spend. Small businesses battened down and stayed small.

The reasons for the GFC are not rubbish. It’s fact. The CBs royally fucked up as they misunderstood the reasons why commodity prices were rising. They saw it as inflation, when in fact it was a change in relative prices as a result of additional demand from the developing world. Not only did the CBs totally misunderstand the period before the GFC, they also totally fucked up the response, which was slow and unresponsive to very fast drop in income.

As for the rest- the Kenyan slowing the recovery.. well that’s true. He did, but he never really gave a shit about economic growth. The left no longer do and actually look at it with hostility.

But let me ask you, Bruce. Isn’t a panic a sudden slowdown in economic activity?

When the sheep stampede for the exit there’s nothing the Fed can really do. Lowering interest rates is futile since the banks won’t lend to SMEs and if they do they lend at high rates – 9 or 10% no matter what Libor is. They know the risks of default in a recession.

Lowering interests by 25 basis points every month when the economy is cratering is responsive?. It also doesn’t help to offer hawkish guidance with a 25 basis point cut, which is what those morons did. In fact guidance alone caused monetary tightening!

Pushing on the string doesn’t do a great deal except enrich the financial types. Does little for the real economy.

Pushing on a strong is the Keynesian term to suggest zero interest rates is the end of the road. It’s not, because there’s QE that can be used to increase the money supply and counter the deflationary pull in the economy. QE is the defacto tool to use when rates reach zero. Pushing on a string is total 100% bullshit because the CB can target any level of inflation it wants in a fiat regime. Let me repeat, a Central is able to target the inflation level it wants at any time!

CBs targeting NGDP is pretty futile too since NGDP is policy linked.

    You need to explain this.

The Fed can’t make Congress pass economy friendly laws therefore QE won’t do anything real.

The CB is the main driver to get an economy out of recession because a recession is by definition the result of monetary policy mismanagement.

  238. Makka

Sorry bern, don’t agree on bugs. They are way overrated and ridiculously priced for what they are. Tasteless, unless spiced and flavoured up and often tough. But to each his own for sure.

But, if you have a compliant doctor and pay him well no doubt bone spurs can be described as a life-threatening condition.

Rae, you probably know it’s called a disqualification from joining the Military, not a life threatening condition.
lol. a little Trump hate showing, unless you personally know men who bribe GPs.

In fact there’s lots of seemingly minor conditions that disqualify. I think because of service overseas and a person being apart from their medication and it can’t be risked?

“But veganism is more than diet. It’s a political, philosophical, and ethical position. One of the most recognised animal rights advocates in Australia is the Nobel Prize Laureate South African-born writer, J.M. Coetzee, who has declared he is not an “animal lover” so much as a seeker of justice:”

“The adoption of a plant-based diet short of this committed understanding is a welcome choice from a vegan point of view, but it’s not necessarily veganism”

Wymynsys agonise over diets and social status and exclusion.

The vegan diet is just another way to recruit people to totalitarian socialism, and it is proving a revolutionary success where organics failed.

    https://neighbourhoodpaper.com/issues/fear-vegan-planet-australia-third-fastest-growing-vegan-market-world-approaching-tipping-point/

Nothing about free market forces, just wymynsys being bullied and offered the chance to control others through bullying.

The absolutely panic stricken terror of and about food felt by so many wymynsys can only be solved when the State decides our rations and supplies us for Free.
