Physio is quackery, Giraffe. It’s way over prescribed and very few people follow the exercise regimen.

The one thing that works are anti-inflammatory medication, or pain killers that breaks the pain pattern. You have to stop the receptors from getting used to the pain by breaking the cycle. If the pain comes back, you hit it again and again.

What is it withe Broward County?

Cops are useless, election officials are corrupt.

A U.S. Senate seat & a statewide cabinet officer are now potentially in the hands of an elections supervisor with a history of incompetence & of blatant violations of state & federal laws.

    Police now hunting attacker’s partner

The female partner of Bourke Street’s knife-wielding killer has allegedly been radicalised and is being hunted tonight by police, The Australian understands.

Police have been unable to locate the woman, sources say.

    From the Oz.

Just watched the Melbourne video. Good to see two men trying to help, one with a shopping trolley and other with a circular object.

    more toxic masculinity

Let me however, reiterate what the video says: what works for me is unlikely to work for you.
    Humans being almost infinitely variable.
Hard to see how the hydropherapy could hurt though.
Unless you use too hot water.

According to bystanders, they were yelling at the police to “Just shoot him.”

    does sound like it:

Trolly guy had the right idea. You can’t stab over a shopping trolley.

    ..
The old style physio was crap.
But it has changed the last few years.
I use pain killing gels, the hydrotherapy also, I think, has an anaesthetic effect. The pain goes immediately after the session.
Basically, to keep exercising, I have to use anything and everything. The right runners are really important. Put the wrong ones on for the amount of pronation you have and you are in the shit.

  9. Aside from grandstanding over the live sheep trade, has that old pisspot ever achieved anything in the Senate?

Huh? Don’t call Hinch an underachiever in the Senate!
As Senator he joined a club that has fewer members than the 2019 Liberal caucus.

He became one of the few men to have ever gone on a date with Jacquie Lambie.

A KNIFE-wielding man who launched a deadly attack in Bourke St on Friday is the brother of an accused terrorist alleged to have plotted a mass murder at Federation Square on New Year’s Eve.

It comes as the Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Somali-born Australian, known as Mohamed Khalif and also Hassan Shire, stabbed a man to death and injured two other men after his Holden Rodeo exploded in the CBD about 4.10pm

The man’s wife — who is believed to have been radicalised — was missing on Friday night.

Heroic police officers and bystanders tackled the man — who was known to the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation — as he lunged at them with a knife.

He was shot in the chest and died in hospital. Officers were understood to be last night raiding the home of the man, who sources said operated as a lone wolf.

So the offender has been named.

Giraffe not sure what problem is causing pain . JC right about receptors . I trained in pain management years ago as I was seeing people suffering from work or traffic accidents . One thing take the pain killers before you do anything not when you get the pain.

Great to see how many people were buying and wearing poppies today.

Australia is still the best place on earth rules by the worst people on earth.

My theory is once those achilles are inflamed, stretching only makes ’em worse.
The time to stretch is before you get injured.

What a lot of people miss is that you don’t get a whole lot of stretch out of the tendon itself.

Hairy should ask his physio to show him how to massage the calf to stretch the calf muscle, relieve the strain on the achilles without pulling and stretching the tendon.

    Exactly.

Take a look at what the achilles tendon is attached to… big calf muscle (actually a pair of muscles) which pulls the tendon tight. This muscle can be encouraged to relax by things like using a foam roller, or simply grab a tennis ball and work it into the side. More than that, ensure reasonable sodium/potassium balance and some small amount of magnesium as well because these will improve nerve function and help you avoid cramp in the calf muscle.

It can be small things … I managed to damage my heel by changing out of boots (with a block heel) to lightweight flat shoes (thin rubber sole and no heels) just for one weekend. Never thought about tight calf muscles until afterwards. Knobby foam roller helped a lot. Also went back to boots because a man my age should be set in his ways dammit.

Fair comment, Infidel Tiger. My local R.S.L. had a street stall, today, selling poppies, and we did a roaring trade.

    Yes.
That does seem to help me.

    Awful taste though.

Anyone who drank a bit too much piss on a Friday night, this might assist you in throwing up before bed.

Gang violence, no mention. Young lady comedian apparently forgotten now. Dr Edmund Pribitkin, tourist beaten senseless at the Australian Open but not talked about. Car mows down pedestrians at Flinders St Station, off the radar I’m afraid. But hey … here’s windswept Dan!

Integrity. Yup, lots of that integrity.

Integrity. Yup, lots of that integrity.

He’s got Labor integrity. The rest of us have another word for it. Speaking of Labor integrity. I heard Peta Credlin state at one point that Kim Beasley had integrity.

This is the bloke who was a board member of the Australian Republican Movement when he was offered a lazy half a mil per year to represent the Queen in WA by the Premier of WA; another bloke with that good old Labor integrity.

Of course he took it, but only if he could use the position to promote WA business or some such altruistic bullshit. We are so lucky to have the big fella cutting ribbons for the next few years.

Kim’s snout was drying out so potsy got him a trough,

  23. Zulu Kilo Two Alpha

another bloke with that good old Labor integrity.

Kim Beasley’s father summed up the problem that today’s Labor Party has – infested by the likes of Bill Shorten, Julia Gilliard, Tanya Plibersek, and all the rest of the champagne socialists.

“The Labor Party I joined contained the cream of the working class. As I look about me, all I see is the dregs of the middle class, who persist in using the Party as an intellectual spittoon”

  24. Steve trickler

    This packed a punch.
