Australia’s Grand Mufti rejects government calls to do more to combat radicalism

Australia’s Grand Mufti has rejected government calls for Muslim community leaders to do more to combat radicalism following Friday’s Bourke Street attack.

On Sunday, Mr Dutton stressed that the Muslim community was key in alerting authorities to potential threats, but Dr Mohamed said security agencies were to blame.

    Translation:
You fuckers need to lift your game if you want to stop our radicals attacking your civilian population. Frankly, we’re sick of you bleating on about it.

    The US media is sick.

The doc has half a point. ASIO knew all about him. Not sure they are to blame as such, though. I mean, it’s not as if you can blame the Catholic Church for Gargasoulas, who spouted biblical verse as he committed his crimes.

If you arrested everyone with the potential to turn into a Gargasoulas or Ali, then the gaols would have to be a lot bigger and more expensive (and there would suddenly be a few disappearances at the Cat).

Can we please substitute another word for ‘radicalised?’ Perhaps ‘true’ muesli or ‘pure’ muesli instead?

‘Radicalised’ is a means of transferring the responsibility from an individual to the broader (non-muesli) society as a whole. ‘I forgot to wipe the handle of my shopping trolley when I went to that whitey supermarket, and since this afternoon, I’ve felt quite radicalised.’

Seriously though. Let’s not play the ‘blame the host’ game like they want us to.

Collective punishment. When dealing with tribal mentality it’s not that it is the best form of deterrent, it is the ONLY effective form of deterrent. The Israelis understand that, as did the Romans before them, and every civilised culture in between.

Yep, but with a twist – in many cases the houses of the lunatics would be state owned, so just kicking them out would be OK. But in a lot of other cases, the state should confiscate the property and sell it.

No doubt in 30 years time the prime minister will be apologizing for this utter disgrace.

At least 224 children in Roebourne, Karratha and surrounding towns have been identified during a major police inquiry in the Pilbara as alleged victims of sexual abuse, State Government briefing notes have revealed.

Secrecy still surrounds the identities of those arrested, charged and convicted.

That’s because they have let many of them continue living among the victims.

Threat of deportation may not even be possible.

We signed one of the stupidest of UN conventions which commits to not being able to leave a person “stateless” by stripping them on citizenship.

Article 15 of the UDHR states:

Everyone has the right to a nationality.
No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.
There are two key international legal instruments relating to stateless persons:

    (1) The 1954 Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons. This defines a stateless person as “a person who is not considered as a national by any State under the operation of its law.” This Convention includes the same qualifier as the Refugee Convention about persons convicted of certain crimes.

Under the 1954 Convention the only way a signatory country can expel a stateless person from their territory is on the basis of national security or public order.

    (2) The 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness, which outlines measures to prevent statelessness. These measures fall into four main categories:

    the requirement that states parties grant nationality to children who would otherwise be stateless and have ties with that state either by born in that territory or through descent from a national of that state;
    the loss or renunciation of nationality is conditional on the possession or acquisition of another nationality;
States cannot deprive a person of nationality on racial, ethnic, religious or political grounds or if it would render the person stateless; and
where there is transfer of territory resulting from one state replacing (or ‘succeeding’) another special provision is made for persons who could be made stateless by the transfer.
The two Conventions on statelessness are not as widely ratified as the Refugee Convention. There are currently 65 parties to the 1954 Convention, and 37 states parties to the 1961 Convention. Australia has ratified both.

The UN is a cancer of leftist delusions running on OPM and staffed by some of the most gifted deeply stupid people in the world.

At least 224 children identified as alleged victims of sex abuse in the Pilbara
Gabrielle Knowles and Tim Clarke PerthNow
    November 13, 2018 5:02AM

Shadow minister for child protection Nick Goiran said he was troubled by the details in the briefing notes after the Government had told Parliament it was aware of just 42 alleged child victims.

“In October, Sue Ellery, representing Ms McGurk, told me the Department of Communities was aware of all child victims identified under Operation Fledermaus and of where they were living and whether they were going to school, and she said there were 42,” Mr Goiran said.

“Even if you wanted to say there was a difference between a victim who was the subject of charges that have been laid against an offender, from a child protection perspective these are at-risk kids.

“You have a responsibility to be across all 224, not just the ones who end up in court.

“We want to be assured that the minister and her department are across the precise number of victims and that they’re monitoring those victims and their safety.”

Mr Goiran said it was “intolerable” that some accused sex offenders were at high school with alleged victims.

The briefing notes reveal safety meetings have been held at the schools, with a particular focus on education about social media amid concerns online methods were being used to “groom” alleged victims.

It was also disclosed that an accused abuser in Tom Price had his bail revoked after being charged with further offences.

Hillary Clinton: the last person Democrats should turn to in the 2020 presidential race

    CAMERON STEWART
    WASHINGTON CORRESPONDENT

Hillary Clinton for president in 2020? Surely not? Perhaps Clinton’s former long-time adviser Mark Penn was just being hopeful when he claimed in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that “Hillary will run again’’

“This new version of Mrs Clinton, when she runs for president in 2020, will come full circle— back to the universal-health-care-promoting progressive firebrand of 1994,” said the article, co-authored by Penn. “True to her name, Mrs Clinton will fight this out until the last dog dies. She won’t let a little thing like two stunning defeats stand in the way of her claim to the White House.”

Understandably, the Trump White House was thrilled by the concept of the unpopular former Secretary of State making her third tilt for the presidency.

“Dear God, please, yes,’’ tweeted Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway at the prospect of another Trump v Clinton election.

Who knows what Clinton is really thinking — she said last month she would like to be president while also claiming she did not want to run again.

But many Democrats will — and should be — alarmed by the thought that Clinton may re-enter the political fray after it was assumed she would retire permanently from politics following her 2016 defeat.

For many reasons, Clinton is the last person the Democrats need if they are to topple Trump in 2020.

For a start the party is crying out for a fresh face and ideally a much needed injection of youth amid a party of ageing veterans.

What the Democrats need now is a shining young star, someone who can unite their Bernie Sanders-style progressives with their more pragmatic policy centralists.

That person will not be Hillary Clinton.

The article claims she would reinvent herself as the “progressive firebrand’’ of her youth.

For Clinton to change her political stripes so blatantly after campaigning as a centralist and even a foreign policy hawk in 2016 would reek of fakery.

But the bottom line is that most Americans have had enough of the Clintons, just as they have of the Bushes.

Hillary Clinton has had her chances — in 2008 when Barack Obama defeated her for the Democrat nomination and again in 2016 when Trump defeated her in the presidential election.

Her problem is that she remains an unpopular and polarising figure.

A Gallup poll in September found only 36 per cent of Americans have a favourable view of her — seven points lower than her popularity on the eve of the 2016 election which she lost.

In Trump’s midwest heartland, Clinton’s unpopularity was such that many voters chose to cast their vote for Trump simply to ensure that Clinton was not elected.

Although Clinton won the popular vote in 2016, she lost the election in part because she was tone deaf to the old working class Democrats who her party once represented. Clinton paid too much attention to the big city voters with their liberal agenda rather than craft a policy which was also relevant to poorer rural and regional Americans. This was a dream for Trump and allowed him to steal much of working class America from the Democrats under Clinton’s nose.

Clinton’s job in 2020 would arguably be tougher given that history shows how hard is it to dislodge a sitting president. Her ability to win the next election given the baggage she would take into the race would surely give Democrats pause for thought.

If Clinton is elected as the Democrat nominee in 2020, it would say much about the paucity of choice facing the party.

He reckons there was some collusion between the parties.
He notes that on the day of Robert’s murder, he had been assigned one (1) FBI agent for a security detail.

Much the same with JFK, other than he claims that the mafia went after him for some of his father’s (Joe) deeds.

And who are they to be declaring what should be happening in the workforce? Businesses already have their own criteria – if they turn away a competent woman they will have just disadvantaged themselves and given an edge to the competitor who takes them. These people see every office and every factory floor as being another stage they can pose on.

The government already has a workforce. It is called the Public Service. It is famous for its ineptitude, its bureaucracy, its waste, its sclerosis, its petty politics – it is the opposite of an effective workforce. Who the blazes is the government to tell anyone else how to run a business?

What we have here is, once again, a bunch of women who feel aggrieved that they haven’t made it to the top, claiming it is oppression by men that prevented them and not a lack of skill, drive or hard work. Every one of these freaking ‘equality’ policies is designed to provide opportunities for women who could not make it on their own. They just aren’t good enough. The women who have made it to the top, did so by working very very hard. What an insult to them.

James Gargasoulas found guilty on all charges from Bourke St rampage

    TESSA AKERMAN – REPORTER

James Gargasoulas has been found guilty of six counts of murder after a jury took less than an hour to reach a verdict in his five-day trial.

Gargasoulas was charged with six counts of murder and 27 counts of reckless conduct endangering life over the January 20 attack in Bourke Street last year.

The Supreme Court jury of seven women and five men returned with guilty verdicts on all counts.

The jury listened three days of evidence and watched harrowing CCTV footage of the rampage before being sent away this morning at 11.43am to deliberate.

Gargasoulas displayed no emotion as the verdicts were announced while family members of the victims who were in the court wiped their eyes.

The jury found Gargasoulas murdered Yosuke Kanno, 25, Jessica Mudie, 23, Matthew Si, 33, Bhavita Patel, 33, Tahlia Hakin, 10, and three-month-old Zachary Matthew Bryant.

By the time the last charge of reckless conduct endangering the life of Paul O’Brien was read Gargasoulas appeared to be twitching his leg and rocking slightly in his seat.

He then leaned back against the wall as Justice Mark Weinberg thanked the jury for their service.

Justice Weinberg remanded Gargasoulas in custody after the jury delivered their verdicts.

Director of Public Prosecutions Kerri Judd QC told the court both defence and prosecution would prefer sentencing submissions to be dealt with this year.

However due to Justice Weinberg’s scheduled leave from early December, the hearing was set for January 29.

Ms Judd said there were a large number of victim impact statements and the plea hearing would take two and a half days.

Gargasoulas made no comment and did not look at the victims’ families as he was led from the court.

Yesterday, Mr Gargasoulas apologised for his actions but said saying sorry or a lengthy sentence would not “fix what I have done”.

“I had a premonition and I followed my instinct to do what I did,” he said from the witness box.

“I wasn’t intending to kill anyone as I was driving to the city.”

This morning barrister Theo Alexander started his three minute closing submission with a quote from Hamlet.

“Our wills and fates do so contrary run,” he quoted.

    “That our devices still are overthrown;

“Our thoughts are ours, their ends none of our own.”

Dr Alexander told the jury they had heard Mr Gargasoulas’ plea and his explanation.

“The defence do not put an issue with any aspect of the charge,” he said.

“On behalf of Mr Gargasoulas I thank you for your attention.”

In her closing Director of Public Prosecutions Kerri Judd QC said it was a clear case of criminal liability.

“There’s no issue of identity, the conduct itself is captured on the CCTV,” she said.

“The CCTV really in this case says it all.”

The court heard Mr Gargasoulas was in a drug-induced psychosis at the time of the rampage but that was not a legal defence.

just because other people wanted to kill Kennedy doesn’t make a conspiracy story true

do you really think that an American president only ever has one group or person intent on killing him?

You shouldn’t dismiss a conspiracy theory out of hand. Especially when there is evidence to support it.

Look at Bolden’s testimony. He had his own legal problems, yes, but the witness against him recanted. He should probably be pardoned. Doesn’t that, like Jack Ruby’s involvement, smell like a conspiracy? Bolden notes that vital evidence was lost, regarding Cuban agents.

If I told you all about MK Ultra and the behaviour of NSW detectives in Kings Cross during the 1980s without evidence, you’d call it a conspiracy theory.

There is evidence for all of the above. Most (if not nearly all) conspiracy theories are utter crap but I know two of the above are definitely true and that the other scenario is very likely.

Many people wanted to kill Kennedy and the evidence strongly suggests the mafia were responsible.

Some people want all conspiracy theories to be true, because they can blame the “elites” for their shitty lives. Some people want none of them to be true at all because they are beneficiaries of the status quo and cannot think for themselves, moreso that it takes a lot of time knocking down the majority of utterly crap conspiracy theories.

Sadly, more people probably believe in the nutty antishemmetic conspiracy theories than proven conspiracies like MK Ultra or Anthony Eden’s shenanigans involving the Suez Crisis.

Loder, who goes by several aliases included Lois Lynn, Emma Davis and Ella Bone, was outed earlier this year by angry restaurant owners.

Pictures were posted to social media accusing the 44-year-old of being a serial thief and a con artist who had done a series of runners as small businesses waited for her to pay her bill.

Loder, 44, appeared in the Perth Magistrate’s Court this morning by video-link from Melaleuca Remand and Reintegration facility in Canning Vale where she re-applied for bail.

The court was told she was taken into custody on September 6 after failing to report to a police station.

    Say what?

A senior figure from the Islamic youth centre attended by the Bourke Street terrorist says Hassan Kalif Shire Ali was mentally ill and could have called out “Allah Akbar” during his attack because Muslims “say it all the time.”

Sheik Mohammed Obran’s spokesman Mustafa Abu Yusuf said this morning that the Hume Islamic Youth Centre had been in contact with the AFP, but that police had labelled the Friday attack prematurely.

The Prime Minister today dismissed criticism from Sheik Omran, whose Hume Islamic Youth Centre Shire Ali attended for prayer meetings, who said the Prime Minister was scapegoating the Islamic community for Friday’s attack.

Mr Yusuf said this morning that the AFP were treating Shire Ali’s attack as terrorism because he said “Allah Akbar” but Shire Ali could have made that cry because his soul was leaving his body. . Oz with comments open. Bet they close them off after an hour max.

No comments at the SMH for some reason:

Greens MP Jenny Leong has made an extraordinary speech in NSW parliament, calling on her Greens colleague Jeremy Buckingham to resign and not contest the March election amid “sexual violence” allegations.

Using parliamentary privilege, Ms Leong said allegations made against Mr Buckingham by former Greens employee Ella Buckland meant Ms Leong could “not stay silent anymore”.

    Sounds serious

Ms Leong said Ms Buckland had shown strength by speaking out about “Jeremy’s act of sexual violence” towards her and “subsequent disgusting behaviour”.

“Let me say on the record, I believe you,” Ms Leong said.

    But hang on

Mr Buckingham released a statement saying: “The allegations raised today were investigated by independent workplace investigation specialists Workdynamic – as per NSW Greens policy – earlier this year and there was no finding of any wrongdoing.”

He said the conclusion of the investigation found that there was insufficient evidence “that a reasonable person could conclude, on the balance of probabilities, that an incident/incidents of sexual harassment as defined by the legislation has occurred.

I see the gender pay gap nonsense is being spruiked again this morning by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency

Kelly O’Dwyer was preparing the ground for them yesterday on….where else but the ABC.

In these days of gender fluidity this so called problem is easily solved.
Businesses just need the reassign genders in their reporting and who could possibly complain.
At the stroke of a pen an argument could be mounted that men have been discriminated against in the workplace.

These clowns have no self awareness

The Agency is an initiative of the fascist left. The fascists assume, generally correctly, that non-leftists will behave honestly and reasonably. They therefore do not expect such a (typically fascist left) response.

Let’s just dream a little. Mueller comes out with a wet lettuce report on Trump along the lines of..

There was absolutely no Wussian collushion, the prez shouldn’t have been mean to James Comey although he has the right to fire anyone he wants, Don jr is young an impressionable and maybe shouldn’t have bonked the Wussian gal in Trump Tower…. etc. etc.

Let’s see what the report says and then, if it looks okay, we can tweet Trumpster with the idea…. Telling him it’s a Cat view and explain the reasoning. He’d listen.
