Victorian Police Minister gets some community feedback

A man has confronted Victorian Police Minister Lisa Neville, slamming the government’s ‘inaction’ on crime and objecting to participants in a recent rally being labelled racists.

Moments after she finished a press conference about security ahead of the Australian Open on Friday, the man approached Ms Neville in the street and made his thoughts known about the political commentary following a far-right rally at St Kilda beach last weekend.

“I don’t appreciate us being called racists because we’re sticking up for everyone,” said the man, who was moved on by nearby officers after a three-minute exchange.

Victorian police officers are always there when you need them. Just ask Lisa.

The left have moved so far left that even the center is left. If you were right of center just a few years ago, you are now far right. Wear the badge with honour my dear friend and don’t let meaningless terms trigger you, we’re better than that.

    Step 1 – import vast cohorts of people to bash and rob us while living on welfare we pay for;
Step 2 – spend more of our money to film them doing it.

    You know it makes sense.

Of course the crime stats are going to fall per 100,000 Victorians if you are bringing in more people. A perfect example of lies, damn lies and statistics.

  14. Mother Lode

VicPlod feel more beholden to politicians than the community.

Although I realise people join the police to benefit the community, but they all end up serving political masters so it becomes increasingly difficult to really feel the respect I once might have.

Of course the crime stats are going to fall per 100,000 Victorians if you are bringing in more people.

Not necessarily. If you bring in people who commit crimes above the average rate, the overall crime rate will rise.

If the Police Minister claims that crime stats are falling, she is probably lying.

  16. Up The Workers!

Is Dodgy Dan’s “Police Minister” one of the Far-Left Victorian Misgovernment’s 6 Cabinet Ministers currently under active criminal investigation for alleged involvement in embezzlement of taxpayers’ cash and cheating at the 2014 Victoriastan /Red Shirts State Election?

Or is she one of the few not actually under criminal investigation?

When will the A.L.P.’s VicPol “Farce Command” sweep their latest “Clayton’s investigation” into the disgraceful conduct of the A.L.P. in the 2014 Election under the carpet like all the other criminal investigations into the A.L.P. Misgovernment have been, and commence their new “Clayton’s investigation” of whatever dodgy doings resulted in them also winning the 2018 Victoriastan/White Shirts election?

(The catatonic A.L.P. Plods would never have stopped snoring long enough to pretend to be doing an investigation into the dodgy 2014 Election if the State’s honest and courageous Ombudsman hadn’t severely embarrassed the hand-picked, Labor political appointee running “Ashton’s Circus” by threatening to do his job for him if he didn’t get his “Khyber Pass” into gear.)

  17. duncanm

Crime stats are falling — total, crime that is, and only over the last two years since a peak in 2016… and its mostly driven by theft offences (ie: minor stuff).

    stats

But check out (per 100k of population):
    * sexual offences (+75% from 2009, 20% from 2016)
    * assault (+32% since 2009, +0% since 2016)

X out of every 100,000 Cisgender hetero white boys get into trouble and are charged and convicted.

Import 100,000 “yoofs”, of which X+Y commit sprees of carjackings and housebreakings, all with side serves of bashing the shit out of their victims.

    Crime stats go up, right?

Maybe, but how do incidents get recorded as crimes, and how does a particular incident get classified as a major or minor crime (especially if da yoof is never charged because “disadvantage”).

I’d be as sceptical of official crime stats as I am of any other government stats.

Fatty Ashton will never let valuable police resources be wasted on something as trivial as subversion of democracy, as long as there’s someone claiming to have been abducted by aliens and molested on another planet by a space travelling Cardinal Pell.

  20. Razor

I met Graham Ashton in 2009 in Canberra. He had just left theFederal police. Actually had a meal and a red wine sitting beside him. He’s smart and a hard man not to like but wouldn’t have thought he was Police Commissioner material. Federal police never make good state police Commissioners. They don’t understand street policing, offences against the person or property crime. Overland is another example. Nixon was from NSW but was always a pen pusher. Mind you any Commissioner would struggle serving their masters in the Socialist Republic of Victoria.

  21. MatrixTransform

The Police Minister is NOT in charge of police operations. The Commissioner is.
Can anybody tell me if we actually have a Police Commissioner in Victoria??
…havent heard from him in a year!

What is becoming more and more obvious every day is that this Govt is taking a very hands-on approach to policing.
Media Liaison is pimping stories of racism and the media is having hyperbolic fit about extreme right wingers.
At the same time we have case of right-leaning speaking events being billed for Police Protection.

    one step fucking tyranny.
    we need protection from them

  22. Dr Fred Lenin

Surely you are not accusing the dvoted comrades of Victorian State Security of lying about crime statistics , they are just be seasonally adjusting them in the interest of social fairness and keeping their votes .
Just a question. Is there still a “liberal”party in Victoria ? Just wondered ,maybe its like the S A “government “ thst replaced the weatherill/ wong peoples democratic sovialist powerless government . Wonder how much in bribes musk and the carpetbaggers gave the comrades to sell out the voters?

  23. John Constantine

The whole point 0f Vikpol State funded diversionary programs is to drop crime statistics by loopholing past the arresting, charging and trying in court bit.

Do not intervene in crimes as they are committed, unless it is a pale stale male.

Vikpol is non-interventionist as a head office political policy if it produces politically damaging statistics.

Go around to see them in the morning with a community Big Man with a taxfunded program.

    Comrades.

  24. John Constantine

What pressure does it put on officers that have to deal with Vikpol Political gamesmanship?.

We see the poor bastard copper that was reported as the most involved liason in the rose batty case has topped himself recently.

  25. John Constantine

The fundemental transformation of Vikpol command to reflect decolonialisation and Stalinism requires a purge of existing pale stale males at the top and quotas of diversity to leapfrog into command.

What chance a pale stale male of rapid promotion unless he lives and breathes the overthrow of western industrial civilisation?.

Thanks for posting that vid duncam. The Fatso lady police minister’s body language and hand clasping was very interesting. She really felt intimidated and unable to respond. She could not name one initiative that was in place to combat crime nor could you respond to the question of whether it was ok to call people racist. Federal police never make good state police Commissioners. They don’t understand street policing, offences against the person or property crime.

This is absolutely true, it’s even true down to the front line officer level. We had an incursion into an airport land side area. Feds talked to the guy for 30 minutes then let him go. Next day same guy got arrested at the airport hotel for assault and property damage. In a later discussion with old school VicPol: “He was either Mad or Bad or both, if anything like that ever happens again, don’t call the Feds, call us!”

Christine Overweight, Simon Nixoff and the Ashton’s Circus Ringmaster have all now successively gillarded their Crime Stats numbers for the P.R. of the election-cheating Spring Street Crims gang.

    Terrorism? What terrorism?

    You get the drift.

  40. Up The Workers!

The only thing that surprises me about our A.L.P. hand-picked Police Commissioner is that he has not yet taken to wearing fishnet stockings, lurid red high heels, wig, lippy and false eyelashes to demonstrate his socialist commitment to ‘diversity in policing’, in much the same way that the A.L.P.’s former Chief of the Army did under the Krudd/Gillard/Krudd-Regurgitated Misgovernments a few years ago.

Can’t be long now before he adopts the new, improved, Party uniform.

  41. Up The Workers!

To Dr. Fred Lenin at 5.11pm who asks:
“Is there still a Liberal Party in Victoria?”

Nah, I think they got Jeffed and Kennetted around the time Jeff “went over to the Dark Side” and appointed Juliar as Chief Nut-Whisperer of Victoriastan.

We did have the Rip van Winkle Party of vigorous catatonics, ably led by Ted Bailed-Out and then by Dennis Nap-Time, followed by that Rip van Winkle Guy, but unfortunately the whole electorate all slept in on the last two consecutive election days and consequently they didn’t fare too well.

The tactic they use today is to ‘move people on’ and not record the crime.

Although I realise people join the police to benefit the community, but they all end up serving political masters so it becomes increasingly difficult to really feel the respect I once might have.

You could say that about all of the emergency services, the public service and the unions. The game is to get to the top then stay there by whatever it takes. All inherently valuable services, all corrupted by politics and power.

  45. md

Does this fellow really expect that his complaint will make the slightest difference? And why complain to the police. They are just doing what they have been told to do by their political masters. I imagine that a great many police are just as angry as the public about what politicians have done to our society. There is no point in complaining, because the Left have done to our society precisely what they set out to do.

  46. John Constantine

We look at the impact leftists had on American politicals in the lead up to the last supreme court confirmation.

Australia’s politicals are living in a leftist fantasyland, where complying with the shibboleths of the left is a magical spell that keeps them safe.

Australia’s politicals cravenly built billions of bucks worth of Bollards to keep them safe from voters.

All voters must now claim the same democratic right the left claims to do anti government protests against corrupt government.

Protestors do so much Good, gush their ABC godless commo revolutionaries.

Until they hear protestors asking the questions the ABC is too cowardly and ignorant to ask themselves, and rather than listen for answers, the “We” class cower behind their bollards and scream “Nazi”.

  47. Goanna

Thanks Duncanm . It’s the bloke with the vest who has the authority here. He’s up against two women who are “leaders.”
Really, truly, bloke in vest would make a better Police Minister.

At that rally standing right beside some Green PMs’ was one lovely chappy who in 1990 stabbed 7 people and consequently was convicted of murder for the death of a grand mother. Obviously he is out on parole now, (NSW prison time). Imagine if this misogynist knife wielding homicidal criminal had been seen among the ‘far right’ demonstrators? Yet not one comment from MSM or observation that the Greens are happy to have this man in their ranks, but very quickly label everyone else a Naxi!

  50. Linden

It was some bloke a good 100 meters away from the main ‘action’ and he was taking the piss out of the other mob, one out our many many, and I’m sure he is a not a convicted murdered!

  51. Mater

Does this fellow really expect that his complaint will make the slightest difference? And why complain to the police. They are just doing what they have been told to do by their political masters.

It was the political master that he was going at. Lisa Neville is exactly who should be confronted about such thing.

  52. md

‘It can happen anywhere’: Father and son allegedly bashed returning from Australian Open

The job given to the police by politicians is to suppress criminal behaviour in high profile situations so that the Left can continue to act out their John Lennon’s Imagine inspired fantasy about the society they have created. This simply means that criminal and anti-social behaviour is confined to low-income areas, and since the people in those suburbs are powerless and unrepresented, that puts the problem out of sight and out of mind, which is exactly what the Left want.

  53. Linden

So who were ‘green pollies’ demonstrating with the murderer?

  54. Andre Lewis

The media are creating false news all the time. Channel 9 news report on Fraser Annings announcement of his new party was “his radical Conservative Party”. The ‘radical’ part was all their own work. But like the ABC they only report without bias!

  55. PB

Its a modern disinfo tactic to have your side do some tasteless things (like Nazi salutes, sieg heils etc, a bit of Hollywood Nazism always works) in order to create ugly visuals the media can throw out there with minimal need for explanation. Its even better if the media is in on the plan, which is common (think the likes of CNN). In this media-driven era optics are everything, while words as communication are a disappearing art.

  56. Razor

Your comment is so close to the mark! Modern policing is aboutvreading the morning newspaper, finding out what’s topical and then setting the troops free!

  57. EJ.

Absolutely love the “community feedback” session! There should be more and more of them with community supporters. Would be heartbreaking to see but brave of victims of terrorism & those affected by the crime gangs to come together & raly in the city. Lets see then if police will move them along as the city comes to a standstill. We should all support them. Red Vest protesters?

  58. Robbo

Confronting Lisa Neville about anything is simply a waste of time. She’s as thick as three planks. It suits Daniel Andrews to have Ministers who are as dumb as dog shit but it badly short changes the community.

  59. Diogenes

On a related note, the NSW Police got some accidental community feedback on their stupid, “if its stationary & flashing red & blue , slow down to 40” road rule. One poor motorcycle cop copped a broken leg, when hit by a car trying to slow from 110 to 40 and trying to avoid the car in front, veered into the breakdown lane & into the cop. As a result they are reviewing the rule (The Deputy Commissioner, “maybe we need to rethink when trying to slow from 110 to 40 with no notice – my comment- well durrrrrr ) . Luckily for the driver that hit the cop there was dashcam footage of cars going every which way and the much bigger accident that was avoided(I understand he was not charged) .
I had already written the police & transport ministers describing the 3 near misses we had when coming back from Queensland which I described in an earlier open thread, and that the rule would result in a massive highway accident & closure.

Today we did a quick trip to see Mrs D’s brother in Wollongong& did the Picton Rd, Hume, M7/M2,Pennant Hills Rd, M1 run & the official “Breakdown Assistance” van was helping someone with its lights on in the 110 zone on the Hume , just south of the M5 – it looked like 4 lanes worth of dodgems, trucks, cars trailers & caravans going in all directions & 1 caravan nearly tipped over – sigh

  60. Tel

… maybe we need to rethink when trying to slow from 110 to 40 with no notice …

Rethinking would require that someone did a bit of thinking in the first place.

  61. Linden

For the often used quote, ‘so that this never happens again’ explanation.

  62. Enterprising Patriot

How is someone as slovenly as Lisa Neville allowed to be a Minister of the Crown, let alone hold any serious public or professional position? Perhaps the Constitution should be amended to impose a dress code on MPs.
