Saltbush Launches an EXIT PARIS Campaign

By Viv Forbes,
Executive Director of the Saltbush Club

The growing Saltbush Club has announced a national campaign to support Australia’s immediate withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement.

The new group aims to prevent ratification or local enforcement of the Paris targets and taxes.

The Executive Director of The Saltbush Club, Mr Viv Forbes, said that Australia will suffer badly from the destructive energy policies being promoted in the UN’s war on cheap, reliable hydro-carbon fuels such as oil, diesel, gas and coal and the backbone industries that rely on them – mining and smelting, farming, fishing, forestry, processing and manufacturing.

“Australia’s electricity supply is particularly vulnerable with no nuclear power, no geothermal power, limited hydro power and growing obstacles to gas exploration. This war on natural hydro-carbon fuels is denying our industries and consumers the cheap reliable power that is needed for more industries and jobs.

“There is no justification for the ceaseless war on oil, coal, cattle and cars – human production of carbon dioxide and methane has no measurable effect on global temperature. Earth’s climate cannot be tweaked by uglifying the hillsides with windmills, plastering the flats with solar collectors, funding Climate Jamborees, subsidising electric cars, buying bigger batteries or putting more taxes on coal or diesel.

“CO2 is naturally sequestered by oceans and the biosphere. Burning natural hydrocarbons merely supplements the natural carbonaceous nutrients in the biosphere – already world food production and global forests have benefitted from the small increases in carbon dioxide plant food in Earth’s atmosphere.

“The Saltbush Club intends alert the public to those foolish politicians supporting the Paris hobble chains and to support those patriotic and sensible people opposing this destructive deal.

“We have prepared a summary of Ten Reasons for Australia to Exit the Paris Deal. This leaflet will be distributed widely.

“We will also collaborate with all other groups that oppose the Paris Deal, including but not confined to Advance Australia, the Australian Conservatives, the Green Shirts, the Yellow Vest Movement, PHON, the LDP, the DLP and sensible elements or individuals within the Liberals, Nationals and ALP.

“We are not hopeful of finding anyone among the Green politicians with a climate/energy policy worthy of support.”

    Fair Dinkum Exit.

    Fair Dinx.

    Good stuff Viv.

    Get it out there.

Best article on “Climate Change” I think I have ever read, factual, accurate and well articulated. The problem is the Communists who run things with their power hungry mates and families. I suspect they don’t give a toss about any of the very relevant items mentioned in that outstanding article like jobs, manufacturing or the well being of our country. Hard to imagine how far we have fallen since the Howard years a mere 12 years ago.

We just keep to ourselves now. Completely disengaged from the body politic, because nobody listens or respects our opinions.

Our outlet is the ballot booth, with a biro, not a pencil. Believe me, I have seen pencil votes altered.

  5. Herodotus

Maree, agree, politics is for the most part stuffed.
There are so many forces at work to disintegrate and deteriorate our country that it certainly seems futile to be a voice in the wilderness.
The major conservative (haha) parties have to be put on notice via the ballot box that they have failed. While this will not rob them of all their seats it will at least take away the money for first prefs.

At last! The beginning of a genuine fight back against the climate madness.
With leaflets!! Now, let’s consider how best to distribute these.
I suggest they accompany the election materials of all of the Parties mentioned.
Also, any hope of large and paid advertisements in the National media, and a huge stink created if these media refuse to run the ads (because we know how much leftist journalists will oppose this movement)?

  7. Herodotus

Indoctrination starts at school, continues via peers and media, hardens via universities and then cures completely in the workplace. you won’t change minds until people have lived long enough to see the lies for what they are. That can take until they are forty. So much damage has been done in twenty years.

Or is that just speaking to the converted? Perhaps volunteers to deliver the leaflets to marginal electorates where the Greens and Get-Up will be an obvious presence. It is important now to indicate that the Green belief system is not what they claim, i.e. the absolute climatic truth backed by ‘science’, and that it is completely legitimate scientifically and intellectually to be skeptical of Green apocalypse-mongering about CO2, and to take a realist stance on the manner in which the world’s climate goes in cycles of change.

There is no justification for the ceaseless war on oil, coal, cattle and cars – human production of carbon dioxide and methane has no measurable effect on global temperature

You’re probably right but that is still a moot point to most and will get you drawn into endless pointless windbaggery.

. Earth’s climate cannot be tweaked by uglifying the hillsides with windmills, plastering the flats with solar collectors, funding Climate Jamborees, subsidising electric cars, buying bigger batteries or putting more taxes on coal or diesel.

That is indisputable, no matter what you believe is happening with the climate.

I’d suggest that Australia not only exits the Paris Agreement, but also the UN.

However, our so-called ‘elite’ seem hell-bent on tearing Australia down both economically and socially.
As the good Professor would say – “Why is that so?”

Something our political overlords from the Uni-Party need to read.
Is there an MP mailing list?

  14. I admire the sentiment, but I suspect that it’ll fall on deaf ears.

Go Viv, but keep it short and simple. They, being those that maybe can be converted to your facts and figures, have a very limited attention span.

  17. The BigBlueCat

If ever a (conservative) political party had an important political message about the climate change scam, this is it. I particularly like point 4:

The populous world nations are unlikely to curb their CO2 emissions – China, India, Russia, Brazil, USA, Japan, SE Asia, Indonesia, Africa and the Arab world will ignore Paris limits.

    Also point 8:

With a huge continent, a small population and heavy reliance on exports, each Australian will be heavily penalised by the Paris Agreement for the emissions associated with exports consumed by others

Even if the claims regarding CO2 were true, there is nothing Australia can do by “leading by example”, and we certainly shouldn’t be providing funding for those who aren’t.

  18. Tel

With a huge continent, a small population and heavy reliance on exports, each Australian will be heavily penalised by the Paris Agreement for the emissions associated with exports consumed by others

Same as how we were penalized by the Kyoto Agreement.

The guy who digs up the carbon is automatically presumed to be the “polluter” by these agreements. They count it against us regardless of whether we burn it ourselves or ship it into Asia for others to burn.

  19. Kneel

“They count it against us regardless of whether we burn it ourselves or ship it …”

    Yep.
Apparently, it’s worse for “the environment” if we send 10 tonnes of aluminium to China instead of sending 50+ tonnes of bauxite, despite the fact that we have tighter pollution controls than the Chinese and that shipping 5 times as much halfway around the world is hardly a “CO2 reduction” – at least globally. Nor does it matter if we never see the aluminium again in this country (as, say, soft drink cans, or cars), it’s still up to us to wear to CO2 output created by the refining and mining processes.
It’s simple, really – we are “white” and therefore can’t be allowed to benefit from the labours of our brains and muscles, let alone exploit any natural resources.

  20. Dr Fred Lenin

The pure arrogance of these so called scientists , we are supposed to believe we are changu[ing the climate but the chinese and indians arent ? They must hole the workeres who keep them alive are complete idiots . The best thing to do is vote against every sitting member of all the hundreds of governments we have inflicted on our taxes . Can you imagine the panic amongst the bludging class is the elites were dropping out of office one by one . It would PSmake no difference to government. That is run by sir humphrey and his crew .
PS (dont tell humpy but after we screw the pollies he and his privelaged gang are next cab off the rank and the subsidy carpetbaggers with them elite poverty will be endemic .

  21. Deplorable

The biggest threat to the world is staggering population growth mainly in all those sh*tholes that are the cause of any real pollution. We should stop all immigration and overseas aid. By all means allow attendance at our universities but after their graduation send them home to improve the lives of those in their home countries. Why would you try contraception to limit births when all you have to do is have constant begging ads on TV etc and sucker governments will provide all your food and medical needs. Nothing focuses the mind more on not having more babies than there is not enough food or medicine to go around and starvation or disease is rampant. A more selfish act of having more children than you can provide for I cannot think of . CO2 is no threat to man but overpopulation is..

  22. Geoff Schleehauf

Our politicians are not listening to us and basically treat us as morons. This is obvious when you consider that in 1992, Keating signed Australia up to Agenda 21 and successive governments have continued the rot that pushes our Constitution to the side and sees us under the influence of the UN and the Paris Accord. Within the past few years we have also be signed up to the Trans Pacific Pact, all of which is detrimental to Australia and it’s residents. Most galling of all is the fact that”OUR POLITICIANS” didn’t give us a day in any of it, because they believe we are not able or worthy of making such decisions. All of this goes against our Constitutional rights and is illegal. This is the main reason why Australian schools are not allowed to teach anything about our Constitution which was drawn up to protect our rights. It’s time for a big shake up, people!
