State of the Union one day later

Remember when the Democrats were going to stop Trump from delivering his State of the Union. Funny how he seems to get his way in the end. The Wall is next.

As for the politics, Trump’s State of the Union is an almost perfect dye-marker for your own political beliefs. You won’t see a more perfectly designed and written defence of conservative values in the modern world. And I agree with this from Instapundit.

ONE OF THE INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT TRUMP’S SPEECH LAST NIGHT is how it seemed calculated to demolish all the standard anti-Trump tropes from the media and from the left and to do so with compelling imagery. Consider:

Trump’s a Nazi: Praise for Holocaust survivors, and a touching rendition of “Happy Birthday.” (With Trump waving his fingers like a conductor).

Trump hates minorities: Brags about record low black, Hispanic, and Asian unemployment — while white-clad Democratic women, overwhelmingly white themselves, sat prune-faced.

Trump’s a Russian tool: Withdrawing from the INF Treaty.

Trump’s a warmonger: Without me, Trump says, we’d be at war on the Korean peninsula. Also, I’m looking at pulling out of Afghanistan.

Trump hates women: Except he got even the prune-faced white-clad Democratic women up dancing (and chanting “USA! USA!”) when he talked about record female employment in and out of Congress.

And his rebuke to socialism was designed to strip the glamour that the media have tried to imbue it with by tying it to the abject misery of Venezuela.

The 70% of those who did not like the speech from the mean-spirited, Marxist-Progressive Democrats remains the problem. They really do want to turn the US into Venezuela. Ignorant fools they may be, but they still get to vote.

AND NOW THIS: The State of the Union set to music.

Shush, Steve. Never interrupt your enemy when she starts thinking through her vagina and making fatal mistakes.

In the three months since the mid-terms, the power-drunk Dems have made themselves unelectable.

If you think they’re demented now, wait until President Pence takes office in January 2025.

  2. Genghis

What stupidity wearing white. It took them a long time to start standing and cheering when Trump talked about women employment. A picture tells a thousand words. Also several times the camera panned their way and some of these idiots had to instructed by others in their midst to stand and cheer.
What is the world coming to?

  3. Terry

Trump just gets better and better.

On this trajectory, he will become one of the greats.

Compare Australia’s options at the next Federal election.

A choice between Turnbull-lite and Chavez-lite. (Left, or Lefter. Dumb, or Dumber).

  4. tombell

We are seeing the increasingly shrill idiocy and behaviour from, primarily, leftard women.

  5. Dr Faustus

Trump’s a Russian tool: Withdrawing from the INF Treaty.

Trump has just challenged Russia to destroy its feeble economy in a new arms race:

“perhaps we can negotiate a different agreement, adding China and others, or perhaps we can’t—in which case, we will outspend and out-innovate all others by far.”

Seems a high risk political strategy, given Russia could simply destroy Trump by providing Mueller with ‘horses mouth’ evidence of cooperation in robbing Mrs Clinton of the presidency.

Wait. Perhaps there is no such evidence…

Ironically, the most efficient cure for the 70% of Democrats is a final solution that only socialists could advocate towards their ideological enemies.

Trump hates women: Except he got even the prune-faced white-clad Democratic women up dancing (and chanting “USA! USA!”) when he talked about record female employment in and out of Congress.

Which, IMHO, is not something to cheer about.

“How it seemed calculated to demolish all the standard anti-Trump tropes from the media and from the left and to do so with compelling imagery”

True, but the important thing is Trump’s genuineness which shone through. He was pleased to have the youngsters and the other folk there for them to be praised and given recognition for trials they had overcome as examples of human spirit. I think he was pleased in his role he could offer that with the world apparently watching. It was uplifting and not shallow.

How it seemed calculated to demolish all the standard anti-Trump tropes from the media and from the left and to do so with compelling imagery. Consider:

I believe he was very pleased to be able to offer recognition to the youngsters and other folk for overcoming their terrible trials, as evidence of what the human spirit can achieve.
His genuineness shone through during the speech. It was uplifting without being over-emotional like a movie script.

    Agreed whole heartedly.
The problems of the West stem from too many women in positions of power and authority who didn’t earn it but were gifted it because of “affirmadive akshun”.
It all started when they chased men out of our primary and secondary schools (how’s our education system going lately?) and continued into politics via local government (how’s your council operating lately?).

It’s not the marxists relentless march through institutions that’s a problem. They’re easily confronted and exposed.
It’s the relentless march through institutions of women that’ll bring the West to its knees.

For the first time in human history, we are experimenting with men and women working side by side (wasn’t so until the last couple of generations). We all thought (yes, even me) this was a good thing.
And it has been in many respects, but as with all experiments, we can’t be sure of the outcome.
Thus far, the negative side effects seem to be outweighing the positive aspects of this recent experiment with the worst of it being the destruction of the family unit as the core foundation of society.

For the sake of future generations, I hope it all works out.

Mutatis mutandis, the same applies here.

In fact its even worse as we have no Trump willing to take them on.

Trump touched on eradicating HIV/AIDS, the Grimm Reapers in the Democratic Party sat on their hands; Trump touched on laws that make legal the murder of near birth & new born babies and the Grimm Reapers in the Democratic Party sat on their hands.

To top it all off Grimm Nancy had to instruct the collectivized Grimm Reapers how they were to react when poetically confronted with their collective Grimm Reaping.

Seems like USA politics is a full body performance art on the same level as interpretive dance.

  15. politichix

I’m astounded that 30% of democrats approved. That’s not an insignificant number especially considering the ferocity of TDS. And 82% of independents? Wow! There’s a fair bit of winning going on…

The Longest Day for Trump’s Adversaries

Donald Trump’s State of the Union address was a masterpiece—for his purposes. Two chaotic years into his term, Mr. Trump appeared presidential for seemingly the first time and dramatically advanced his chances for re-election in 2020.

On Tuesday Mr. Trump enlarged the public’s idea of himself and his presidency, and in proportion diminished his enemies. That was his most effective stroke on Tuesday night: to make the left seem to be lost in irrelevant obsessions and guilty of misinterpreting—falsifying—America and its values.

He made the decromats look like the irresponsible fools they are ,I felt if they didnt agree with him they would feel UnAmerican ,as his speech was totally Patriotic American in content . It was a treat to see the selfabsorbed cretins trying to look normal while the hate boiled deep inside . This is after all the man who is draining their swamp and exposing them for the frauds they are,the man who is destroying the status quo and elaborate scam called “democracy”they spent years constructing , it is crumbling before their eyes . Under Trump the “democracy “ they carefully costructed for their own benefit, supported by their wholly owned so called media ,is in mortal danger hasnt worked has it .?the whole thing is crumbling ,and not before time .

No, but I do remember when the Democrats were going to stop Trump from delivering his SOTU until the government re-opened.

Funny how they got their way in the end.

  19. Up The Workers!

“Trump hates minorities: Brags about record low black, Hispanic, and Asian unemployment — while white-clad Democratic women, overwhelmingly white themselves, sat prune-faced.”

Fortunately, they didn’t display their solidarity with the exemplary Democrat Governor Ralph Northam, by all donning their matching pointy white hats with the eye-slits (the Bigots’ Burqa) to go with their uniform white robes, or carrying all their burning crosses into Congress.

Looks like the “progressives” return to the “good old days” of slavery and enforced cotton-picking for the blacks, will just have to wait a tad longer.

That’s surely another win for the Trumpster.

  20. Overburdened

President Trump is both a visionary and a sentimentalist, which makes him a perfect President at any time.
As said, the epitaph will be, ‘All his great deeds in water shall be writ’ (or something like that).
The social decay that has been assiduously developed has taken hold. There is no better evidence than looking at news.com.au at any time and force yourself to read as many articles (up-to-date people would say, ‘follow the links’) as you can stand to see the opinion pushing, agenda setting and in many cases articles presented as fact that are completely antipithetical to the reality of the event- article 1- The President’s speech. All this heavily laced with kiddie porn for the titivation of the plebs. This is in Australia, where the people just want the facts.
IMO the USA is a gone goose. It will take another few generations to become a shit hole, but it will happen.

  21. Overburdened

Hate to be a wet blanket. I think Oz is [email protected] too.

  22. GlendaH

Great clip. Who was the singer please?

  23. Nighthawk the Elder

    GlendaH,

The song is Everybody Hurts by R.E.M. Michael Stipe is the lead singer.

And the polite way to put it is they favour the “progressive” side of politics, much like most artists. The irony of choosing this song has not been wasted.

  24. Mick Gold Coast QLD

The people voted these palookas into power and facilitated the most powerful grouping of liars, hypocrites and self interested utter bastards all working together as one in Washington, far removed from voter’s lives and needs.

From stupid, stupid buffoon Biden, to hideously rich man Romney who, when tested, stood for nothing, to the half black vicious sheila who bonked her way to State attorney, to obfuscate and lie grandly in that role, who is now feted as a future president – they sit there in their majesty scheming to put and end to the only one of them who has, by any measure, earned his position as leader.

I am not convinced that the USA will recover and dominate again – the commos have been on the job relentlessly since the end of World War II, they will wait Donald Trump out and resume business as usual in 2024.

It won’t matter who they put up as President then – someone female, black and/or wearing a burkha – Corporate America will re-sign to do business with the devil, and the wealthy carpetbaggers you see in the clip above will settle back in their plush thrones to look on disinterestedly while the empire becomes one big favela.

Isaiah 3:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Note that Isaiah (and Jeremiah) were primarily Prophets to the House of Israel which were then in the Assyrian exile, later to resettle in western Europe.

No, not “women” in the generic sense but women with a Marxist mentality – the mindset that believes
    a) humanity is basically good and eminently perfectible (utopianism)
    and
    b) that the solution to all problems is more government.

    Neither assumption is correct.
