It’s the scientific consensus vibe

The latest contribution from US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Give it a couple of weeks before it peculates into the Australian Greens policy platform.  Emphasis belongs to TAFKAS:

There’s scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult. And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, is it okay to still have children? And I mean, not only just financially, because people are graduating with twenty, thirty, a hundred thousand dollars worth of student loan debt, and they can’t even afford to have kids in the house, but also just this basic moral question, what do we do? And even if you don’t have kids, there are still children here who are in the world, and we have a moral obligation to them, to leave a better world for them. This idea that if we just, you know, I’ve been working on this for X amount of years [sic] it’s like, not good enough. We need a universal sense of urgency. And people are trying to, like introduce watered-down proposals that are frankly going to kill us. A lack of urgency is going to kill us. It doesn’t matter if you agree that climate change is an important issue.  At this point it doesn’t matter. If you believe climate change is a problem, that’s not even the issue. The issue is, how urgently you feel the need to fix it.

Sums it up so well, it’s not whether or not there is a problem, or, if there is a problem, what is the cause. It’s mainly a matter of “I have no purpose in life, so I will jump on the next bandwagon that goes past and become a zealot. If that bandwagon runs off the road, there’s always another one.”

I am entirely comfortable with AOC and her supporters removing themselves from the gene pool.

There’s scientific consensus that the lives of children under socialism are going to be very difficult.

    I fixes it !

I recall mentioning to some from friends 20 or so years ago that the next 2 generations will stuff up the world. Well this woman is just another to add to the list of stuffer-upers. Now we have Morrison continuing to talk about and waste money (ours) on climate change. He might as well join the Watermelons and be added to the list also. I wish I was younger and had the time to do a PhD updating the Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay to include Climate Change and other modern delusions. Such a tome would provide future generations with a guide to progressive madness in the 21st century.

” Give it a couple of weeks before it pe(r)culates into the Australian Greens policy platform.”

Sadly, you won’t see Morrison laughing at the stupidity, or distancing himself from the environmental pogrom, as he is just grifting his own NGD, which just a lite version.

A group of four or five current politicians who stand up infront of the msm, and state!
We do not believe anything Australians do, now or in the future will have ANY! Impact of the global climate. Therefore we will reduce the cost to Australians of any and all renewable tax payer funded subsidies if we are elected! We will vote to exit from the Paris Agreement and facilitate base load, high efficiency Coal and Nuclear power generation construction.
Dont like that, don’t vote for us! We do get elected, you were told what we are going to do, don’t whinge!

  8. All the intelligence of a sack full of rubber hammer handles, but the indoctrination system they call “education” has produced an entire generation that cannot differentiate fiction and reality.

Isn’t abortion now legal in New York to the 119 trimester?

AOC seems to be walking a fine line.

the next 2 generations will stuff up the world.

We you didn’t need to wait – the Baby Boomers well and truly did that. All this climate nonsense and socialist welfare claptrap was instigated by them anyway. Rudd, Gillard, Abbott, Shorten etc etc – boomers.

Any person claiming to be an alarmist, who does not support nuclear power, is just posturing and virtue signalling.

A possible solution? We need this in Australia NOW. We should have had it years ago. Think of the politicians we would be better off if they could have been removed early…..

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Political party Voting Electoral systems

A recall election (also called a recall referendum or representative recall) is a procedure by which, in certain polities, voters can remove an elected official from office through a direct vote before that official’s term has ended. Recalls, which are initiated when sufficient voters sign a petition, have a history dating back to ancient Athenian democracy[1] and feature in several current constitutions. In indirect or representative democracy, people’s representatives are elected and these representatives rule for a specific period of time. However, where the facility to recall exists, should any representative come to be perceived as not properly discharging their responsibilities, then they can be called back with the written request of specific number or proportion of voters.
