Threats of libelling and banning, this place is turning into a sheltered space for boomers. Worse still its making me side with monty or at very least see the hypocrisy of his accuses.

If anything potentially illegal that was initiated on this website was to continue beyond the site, not only would the existence of Catallaxy Files itself be in jeopardy, but Sinclair, who devotes some of his resources to offering us this opportunity, would possibly have his career threatened. Given his profile, Sinc takes risks daily permitting The Cat to continue in operation.

Without stating so, you are referring also to Harken’s banishment. Harken was banished due to a particular comment that could have been interpreted as intending to invoke fear in the recipient. The comment was not subject-related.

Depends if you are measuring the ratio of stupid to not stupid or just the total amount of absolute stupid.

‘WAX MY ASS, SCRUB MY BÂLLS’ — BETO O’ROURKE POEM FROM 1988.

Beto O’Rourke’s recently unearthed membership in the hacking group “Cult of the Dead Cow” may not have included the “edgiest sorts of hacking activity,” but it did, apparently, include writing murder fantasies and exceptionally bad poetry.

Writing under the now-exposed pseudonym “Psychedelic Warlord,” a teen-aged O’Rourke appears to be the author of a poem titled “The Song of the Cow,” published in 1988 by “cDc (Cult of the Dead Cow) communications.”

“I need a butt-shine,” the poem begins … and it really all just goes downhill from there:

    I need a butt-shine,

    You are holy,
    Oh, sacred Cow
    I thirst for you,

O’Rourke, who launched his 2020 presidential campaign Thursday, also reportedly wrote several disturbing pieces under the “Psychedelic Warlord” pseudo, including one in which the narrator fantasized about using his vehicle to run over children.

For those Cats of an aviation leaning, and an interest in owning a Hawker Hurricane, the followin may be of interest.

Today, the Hurricane is rare, with just 15 airworthy examples in the world. Fewer than five more are likely to be restored in the next 10 years. Meanwhile there are about 45 Spitfires flying, with another 25 under restoration.

    Hawker Hurricane G-HHII

Ironically, as the Hurricane is also the more complex of the two and requires far greater skills and resources to restore, it costs significantly less than a Spitfire. It takes some 26,000-29,000 hours to return a Hurricane to airworthy condition, at a cost of approximately £2m. It is interesting to compare that to the cost of relatively ordinary historic racing cars, let alone iconic machines such as the Ferrari GTO, now valued in excess of £20m.

What’s more, flying a Hurricane remains an achievable dream. The average WWII pilot had 200 hours flight experience before going into combat. With appropriate instruction, a competent Private Pilot Licence holder should be able fly a Hurricane within 50-60 hours.

As world leaders in Hurricane restoration, Hawker Restorations can advise you on a variety of investment options, including whole or part ownership, and of course on every aspect of operation and maintenance. Over the past few years the Left has worked tirelessly to conflate the ‘Far Right’ and white supremacism with mainstream conservative politics. Aside from racism/xenophobia/white supremacy the Left claims the defining characteristics of dangerous far right extremism are:

    – Distrust of Catholics, J3ws, Muslims, Communists, Socialists and Fabians;
    – Distrust of the mainstream media;
    – Concern about open-borders immigration;
    – Lack of faith in climate science;
    – Anti-environmentalism;
    – Opposition to international agreements, especially those brokered by the UN;
    – General opposition to “the Indigenous land rights movement, the destruction of family farms and small businesses, and the policies of “multi-racialism and multi-culturalism”.

    (Representative summary.)

The actions of arsewipe Tarrant – and Morrison’s enthusiastic fingering of the Right – mean a big chill will fall over discussions of border control, immigration, energy policy, and ‘progressive’ politics generally during Shorten’s election campaign.

  54. Bruce of Newcastle

Something I don’t think has been explored is the PRC aspect. In the manifesto he says:

The nation with the closest political and social values to my own is the People’s Republic of China.

That fits with this story today:

Call them ‘campuses’ not camps Chinese diplomat says of centers for Muslims (15 Mar)

GENEVA — A top Chinese diplomat claimed Friday that detention centers for Muslims in China’s western province of Xinjiang are “campuses, not camps” and said they are eventually going to be closed as a “training program” for ethnic Uighurs is downsized.

The U.S. State Department said this week that China has “significantly intensified” a campaign of mass detentions of minority Uighurs over the last year, with between 800,000 and 2 million people from the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region interned in camps. The centers have drawn condemnation from across the world.

You can immediately see the similarity between China’s attitude to muslims and the shooter’s ideology.

In general the Left has been happy to have an alliance of convenience with Islam, but the undercurrent has always been that when the class-enemy is defeated it will be mano e mano for the ultimate prize. The Chinese though seem to have jumped the gun on the ‘there can be only one’ equation.

The royal commission was a waste of money
    MATT CUNNINGHAM, NT News
    March 16, 2019 1:30am
    Subscriber only

SEVENTY million dollars is a hell of a lot of money. In a year, it’s enough to pay for 700 teachers, or 700 nurses, or to build 140 remote houses. It’s enough money to build a state-of-the-art youth justice centre with all the bells and whistles.

And it’s the same amount of money the Northern Territory and Commonwealth governments spent on a report that most now agree is not worth the paper it was written on.

The NT Government’s decision this week to scrap its plans for a new youth justice centre at Pinelands is surely the last piece of evidence required that the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory was a masterclass in how to best throw $70 million of taxpayers’ money down the drain.

It has served little purpose but to line the pockets of southern lawyers who flew in for the picnic, and tie the current government to completely unrealistic expectations of what it could and should be delivering.

The Government said this week it was still going to look for another site for a new youth justice facility. But with no timeline for such a project and tenders released for continued services at Don Dale for at least the next three years, a new youth justice centre is now about as likely as a bridge to Mandorah.

Even the peak organisations who once screamed so loudly about the unsuitability of Don Dale are now saying it can be brought up to scratch with a few renovations.

Closing Don Dale was one of the key recommendations of the Royal Commission. But with that plan now on ice it’s worth now re-examining how we came to have this inquiry in the first place.

The images broadcast in the Four Corners report, Australia’s Shame, shocked a nation. But were they an accurate reflection of what had happened in our youth justice system, or, more importantly, a fair account of the actions taken to fix the system after it reached crisis point in 2014 when six teenagers were sprayed with tear gas at the old Don Dale Detention Centre?

Former corrections minister John Elferink has described the Four Corners program as more like a hyped-up episode of A Current Affair.

And while the subject matter was no doubt far more serious than dodgy used car salesmen, Elferink’s point about the approach Four Corners took to reporting this story has merit.

Last week the ABC’s Media Watch program scoffed at Channel 9’s 60 Minutes for writing to a rogue sperm donor and telling him it was going to do a positive story on him, only to give him the royal stitch up. But this is exactly what Four Corners did to Elferink.

Collins accuses Power and Water of stealing from Bagot Community
    JASON WALLS, NT News
    March 16, 2019 1:30am
    Subscriber only

MEMBER for Fong Lim Jeff Collins has accused the Power and Water Corporation of “committing large scale, systematic welfare fraud” on residents of Darwin’s Bagot Aboriginal community.

The Labor exile made the extraordinary allegation during question time in parliament this week, accusing his former party of ignoring documentary evidence of the fraud he’d provided early last year.

Mr Collins said the “theft” began after Power and Water called in a $700,000 water and sewerage debt in 2015, sending the community into voluntary administration.

He said the corporation had been using a Centrelink program designed to help welfare recipients quarantine money to pay their bills to reclaim debts owed by previous tenants.

“When somebody would move into a property, say Lot 1 at Bagot, two people would move into that property and start a lease, then Power and Water would start up a Centrepay arrangement,” he said.

“But then when you looked at the bills they were actually loading up the property with historical debt.”

120 Christians Slaughtered By Muslim Herders In Nigeria.

At least 120 people have been killed by alleged Fulani militant attacks since February in the Kaduna state of Nigeria with the latest attacks on Monday resulting in the deaths of over 50 and the destruction of more than 140 homes.

On Monday, 52 people were killed, dozens injured and around 143 homes destroyed in attacks on the villages of Inkirimi, Dogonnoma and Ungwan Gora in the Maro district of the Kajuru Local Government Area, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide.

The Monday attack followed an attack on Sunday in the Ungwan Barde village in Kajuru in which 17 people were killed and dozens of homes were burned.

In late February, there was another attack in Maro that resulted in the deaths of about 38 Christians and saw homes and a church burned. On Feb. 10, 10 people were killed in an attack in Ungwan Barde as six others were killed in isolated attacks the day before.

CSW, a United Nations-recognized NGO that advocates for persecuted Christians worldwide, reports that victims in the attacks on Monday included women and children. Survivors told the nonprofit that the attackers were separated into three groups. One group shot and killed people, the second set fire to buildings, and a third ran after people fleeing the scene.

I always had a bit of a soft spot for the Hurricane – an underrated aircraft that certainly pulled its weight during the Battle of Britain.

One of the key factors that made the Hurricane so valuable was that it required only about 10,000 man hours to build, while 15,000 man hours were required to build one Spitfire, a massive difference that helped the British as the Germans pulled attrition warfare on them by attempting to wear them down to the point of collapse during the Air Battle for Britain.

Now our politicians are the enemy , basically leading an invasion.

I am really worried about how the left will try and use this evil act to shut down legitimate debate about Islam.

Yup, and that’s why they are vigorously erasing all the “Green” aspects of this guy’s manifesto.

The Greens are in the business of believing absolutely self-contradictory ideas. They demand zero population growth to protect the environment … and then simultaneously demand mass immigration from the sort of cultures that have not looked after their own environment (long ago the Middle East was the most fertile place in the world) and who have huge families. One of these things is incompatible with the other. Like everything Green, they clap their hands and believe it will somehow magically come good … regardless of that being an impossible outcome. Whoever designed this thing was not intending for a successful outcome.

Ted Turner (founder of CNN) said, and I quote, “The way I think we should get there is have a voluntary one child per family for the next hundred years… like they do in China now.” The hypocritical turd went on to have three wives and five children, and China’s policy was NEVER VOLUNTARY it was enforced by a freaking police state. There are also high wire fences all around the perimeters of some of them. This is just what I can see in traffic as I drive by; I’ve never stopped to investigate. Apparently the threat is deemed very considerable, and all the more awful because of that, upon the most precious thing of any cohesive people, the children who are the future generation. Islamic schools in Sydney do not seem to have such overt security, although perhaps they do. I don’t know.

If they know, then Calli or Elle, Jooish kittehs who also live locally, can fill in more details. I have always been so saddened to see this level of protection being made necessary for the children of ANY group of people who live in Australia, and I most heartily desire that if very strict legal limits are believed necessary on commentary re ethnic groups then those limits should very definitely be put upon EVERY GROUP who engages in it. Many (unnamed here by me) produce hate speech in religious and secular places and sell or hand out material that encourages hatreds and even violence. This must stop.

    Yes.

The ones that are on guard at the schools and synagogue near me wear black military style attire with all the trimmings, including bullet proof vests.

What a stupid comment feelthebern. Why should J–s have to take extraordinary measures in order to go to their house of worship or to send their kids to school. The big thing about invading Britain in 1940 is that you would need to do it by sea.

Not saying the Germans couldn’t have used some parachute forces to make landings of maybe up to battalion strength here and there but to invade properly they would have needed lots of sea-lift. They would have needed artillery and preferably armour as well. Let alone ammo and food.

If you want to carry out a proper invasion then you have to get such forces across the Channel by sea. And the Royal Navy will sink you while you’re trying to do it. They had plenty of heavy duty ships – battleships, battlecruisers, and cruisers – which would have shelled seaborne forces into oblivion. Let alone destroyers by the score which would have cut up seaborne convoys with gusto.

The Luftwaffe was not set up in those days to do big time sinking of ships at sea. They’d have had a go, and probably made some good dents, but they’d also have lost aircraft big time.

There was no sufficient strength in the Kreigsmarine to smash the RN. The channel is shallow too – not great for their many submarines, plus you’re constricted by the land on each side. They did not have sufficient big ship power to beat the RN either.

There was no way the Germans had air superiority over the Channel in 1940, let alone air supremacy.

    So no invasion.

In fact, it’d be evidence of change if the Darling River was constantly in full flow. The thing runs dry all the time, which may be why only one person among all those we spoke with in our travels mentioned climate change – and even then only in passing.

Urban obsessions are no big deal out Wilcannia way. By the way, readers loved our coverage. Here’s a letter to the editor from Dr Stuart Rowland:

I have just read today’s edition of The Daily Telegraph and the final part of The Great River Run (Saturday 16th March).

I thought that the series was excellent. By far the best coverage of the issue. It was balanced, informative and interesting.

Warren, Tim and Toby did a great job getting out there talking to the people, and seeing the river, the towns and farms. Their insight was reflected in the series.

How useful would the RN have been in the Channel without air superiority?

Useful for sure, but at a yuuge disadvantage and would have suffered appalling losses. Eventually, the RN would have been overcome without RAF air superiority. The RAF and Britain’s domination of the science of radar at the time meant that the RN would not have to be risked. If the RN was sufficiently compromised, Britain would starve. Conversely, the Kreigsmarine could not be adequately deployed due to the denial of air superiority by the RAF. The Few saved Britain enabling her to carry on, along with their very able system of early warning attacks from the air. No question.

By the way, what Gavin said about Porn, I said years ago and you guys can back me up on it.

I for one, think there must be some big pat offs going to Porn sites that allow all that free porn to go out.
Who in the history of the world would give you Porn for free?

    Look at it all.

I have often stated that the west would solve half it’s problems over night if Porn was eradicated.

Young men are banging away to porn and the girls are going nuts, or because the girls are going nuts, men are banging away to porn.

Either way, how come it’s all free?

One day we will have the honesty to confront this subject, but as much as I single out typical female responses to issues, there are terrible responses men have to issues.

And jerking your life away is the easy way out, something young men have decided to do, and with that amount of porn on line, wholly snapping duckshit, it’s all free (so I am told)

It’s ok if you are stuck out in the bush all by yourself and you can’t think straight anymore, just to get the brains back in your head, but you should do it as quick as possible while chanting these words…..excuse me father for I am sinning, excuse me fa fa fa ther ether fof or I I I am ama maa sin ni ni ning……and then get back to bloody work.

The police have access to much better tools than you do, and telephone companies bend over to help out.

Hurricanes and Spitfires are nice, but they didn’t save Britain in 1940.

The honour for that goes to the Royal Navy.

How useful would the RN have been in the Channel without air superiority?

At that time, aircraft had little capability against ships at night, see the evacuations from Greece and Crete a year later, ships tried to be well clear by daylight. If not, they suffered.

Destroters and light cruisers among the invasion fleet at night would have wreaked havoc, the RN had dozens of such ships close to the potential landing sites.

Elle, I’ve not long been in from my morning activities and did click on the vid and watched Father Christmas there deliver his piece re trolling. Yes, social media applause is obviously part of the motivation for a dispossessed loner with reality issues, but in a quick glance at the Oz where his life story is offered in parts, there was one thing emphasized, and it particularly struck me because social media now brings these things to us. The death of little Ebba Akkerlund, who was killed in the Stockholm truck terror attack, apparently deeply impressed this gunman and made him determined to be the ‘hero’ who would avenge her. It seems to have been the incident that most affected him. Thus, to say he was without empathy or feeling as this vid does is incorrect. He had an excess of feeling, turned murderous. He probably also saw the dreadful pics of the little girl who went out on an errand during the Christmas market truck attack in Germany. I’ll certainly never forget seeing the pic of her little body cut completely in two pieces with the truck wheel marks running through the middle.

The Palestinians use this sort of vision of children too (often staged) and ISIS recruiting would use similar shots to gee up Muslim outrage. Then there was the pic of that infant washed up on the Mediterranean shores which basically caused acceptance of a mass influx into Europe. Children hold a special place in human emotions. My child? Your child? Who’s child? These were the words I saw over the picture of a wasted Jooish child in a Nazi concentration camp picture. More than anything, and this was long ago, this image made me want to help and protect Jooish people from ever again experiencing any such thing.

So I think the ‘troll’ explanation is interesting, but insufficient. Playing the ‘hero’ as in video games may have a lot to do with it. Especially with the atavistic medieval influence of the Knights Templar imagery.

The fact that the perpetrator spent such a significant part of his manifesto contemplating what impact his actions would have on gun laws in both the US and, in particular, New Zealand is interesting in itself.

How many psychotic mass murderers have given the slightest pause to think about such things? Manifestos would generally be full of hate and bile towards their intended target along with the associated rationals but this one is so calculating in it’s potential second and third order political effects. This is not your typical terrorist attacking a group he/she doesn’t like in order to make a political statement. This one was intended to start fuses burning in multiple directions at once, fuses that lead directly to a number of already primed powder kegs within our communities.

I can’t exactly nail down why this aspect bothers me so much, but my spider senses are tingling. It would be easy to write him off as another psychopath, and his manifesto as the confused ramblings of a nihilist, but I’m afraid I can’t. No, you got it wrong. The military complex NEEDS uppity Muslims to create a common enemy and give themselves a purpose. Take a look at the current Afghan War … they have gone out of their way to draw that out as long as possible … never quite winning … never quite loosing, always just a few trillion dollars short of victory. It’s a machine to enrich a few at the expense of the many. They aren’t interested in any greater “White Race” whatever that might mean, they are interested in their own narrow family and monetary future.

I can remember working military tech jobs back in the 1990’s when there was an outbreak of world peace and I shrugged and said, “Oh well, we can find other work now doing different things.” but I can tell you plenty of people were unimpressed with the idea of their meal ticket going away. Unfortunately war and tech have always been partners, but more now than ever. Who is the biggest customer for those spooky robot dogs do you think?

They throw the same venom at Tulsi Gabbard, and her politics has little in common with Trump other than the occasional criticism of the US War State. More guns, less butter.

Struth – I have no f****** idea what you’re on about but I’m guessing I’m supposed to say I love you too.

    Ta.

Don’t thank me struth. Just go to a shrink and ask about all those voices you keep hearing in your head.

I have never known of anyone being done for perjury in Victoria. Their entire family court system would collapse if they pursued perjurers. I no longer believe that Victoriastan is just a joke epithet. It’s our little Venezuela.

  214. A cop who has told me that telephone companies charge the police for every lookup they do for them which is why the police are very selective as to when they ask a telephone company for such details.

Can confirm. Cops have refused to track calls of incredible abuse to my place at times.
So I’ve done the tracing myself. It costs 5c per week (I think) & you have to leave the phone off the hook – regardless of how quickly the caller may hang up – & Telstra can find the number.
They won’t give me the number, but they’ll give it to the cops.
That is enough to tell the cops if it is then worth paying to have the number tracked properly (i.e. a standard acceptable as court evidence)

A guy from grafton becomes a retard 4chan neon nazi troll, travels to north korea and pakistan then heads to new zealand and massacres a bunch of muslims.

Shady CIA connections will swirl around this, like las vegas.

Around the same time but not what I was referring to.

I can’t exactly nail down why this aspect bothers me so much, but my spider senses are tingling. It would be easy to write him off as another psychopath, and his manifesto as the confused ramblings of a nihilist, but I’m afraid I can’t. It just seems too calculated, too composed, too chess-like.

    Mmmyes.
The writing style sort of flipped between a very clipped, matter of fact, dot point structure – the sort of style you might see in a building condition report – and a more verbose, expansive, chatty style which, given his intent, is frightening.
I prefer to explain the style shifts as him having drafted it over a long period, or included cut and paste from other sources.
The other frightening conclusion is that was more than one author.

  218. Victoria’s legal system is starting to form a pattern.
The Giddy Goat case in the past week or so has made them the laughing stock, or rather, the source of contempt, from what should be the entire rural community of Australia.

I put forward: the Battle of the Bismarck Sea (which was on a much smaller scale, of course).

The phone companies do charge the police for lookups, but it does require work, and last I checked the police are taking tax money for their own wages so having the cops do any investigation will cost money regardless. They don’t work for free … neither do the telcos … what did you expect?

I don’t have the exact price, but my understanding is that a lookup might be of the order of a hundred bucks. If the government can afford to pay massive salaries to yoooman rights lawyers for the task of tormenting cheeky cartoonists, they can afford to check out a few phone calls.

Why do kiwis give gun licences to non citizens?

    That sounds pretty dumb.

“Did anyone notice the bearded NZ convert who went after the attacker(s) with a shotgun? He was expecting something like this, more likely from other muslims.”

Two reports I have read now say that the “convert” actually grabbed the gun from the attacker … but didn’t know how to use it, couldn’t even find the trigger.

Sorry, in what way do you “put forward the Battle of the Bismarck Sea” Muddy?

Leigh it looks very cut and paste -it’s got lots of shades of Brevnik. You only needEd to spend 1/2 hour Googling all of Brevnik’s Manifesto to find his sources. I’m not planning to do it for this shyte as I certainly am not being paid to do it. It will be interesting to find out more about the people who were arrested in Dunedin the two other men and one woman. Don’t be surprised if they’re more or less full-time gamers and trolls.

$100 for a look up? Well that’s exactly why the cops should not be playing along with the telcos. It’s bad enough the ABC and power companies and NBN siphoning off all my tax dollars without the f****** useless telcos siphoning them off as well.

My apologies, that was a bit vague, wasn’t it?
I meant that the Battle of the Bismarck Sea, whilst of course not directly comparable to a proposed cross-Channel invasion, was an example of air superiority over a naval convoy.

  236. What is the giddy goat case?

    Sorry, “Gippy Goat”
It is a farm somewhere close enough to Melbourne to be within wanker range.
It is a Dairy farm, but milking goats.
the place has a cafe, serving up the sort of brunch stuff that people will stop for on a country drive, & a petting zoo where the kids can pat a goat.

Vegan activists have turned up dressed in black like Ninjas, 70 at a time. The cops have given up when the activists refuse to leave.

The farm’s CCTV (yep, a farm that sees it as necessary to have CCTV recorded to hard-disk) shows a group of 70 activists turning up early one morning & stealing several goats.
They take the goats away in the boots of cars.

The farm owner had to work for weeks, possibly months, to get the cops to pay any attention.
All the cops had to do was look at the regos on cars from the CCTV, plus the vegan activists had posted live streaming of the thefts to Facebook.
The thieves were taunting the farm via Facebook, with photos of the goats now in captivity.

So the case was dead easy.

When the farmer forced it to court, the accused were allowed a long speech of justification, the farmer/prosecution were not.

The thieves were fined $1 each.

Australian Federal Police has clear guidelines stating you should not put any personal details on the Internet. It’s just open slather for identity fraud if you do. Now some professional people might put a name up such as journalists or academics but they also get a measure of protection from theit employers and they wouldn’t be so stupid as to put out addresses anyway. Plus the Internet is global so why the fuc should some people have to develop their identity while billions don’t. Greg Sheridan is a fuckwit.
