Off for an early morning walk, so a bit of walking music on this foine day

“Christchurch was once a sleepy town. With a population under four hundred thousand, it never had any of the categories of political violence that plague much larger cities in much more populous countries.

    Then the Moslems came.

You see, Friday’s events are not Christchurch’s first time being connected to mass murder and violence involving Moslems. That came earlier. Five years ago, Christchurch, and specifically the Al Noor mosque which was targeted by Brenton Tarrant was being mentioned in the news for being the source of not one, but two international terrorists: Daryl Jones and Christopher Havard.

No media anywhere is covering this. They want this story buried fast.

    Newshub:

A Christchurch mosque has been linked to the drone killing of New Zealand al-Qaida suspect Daryl Jones.

The parents of an Australian killed alongside Jones say their son was taught radical Islam in Christchurch, where he also met Mr Jones.

Christopher Havard was killed alongside Mr Jones by a US drone in Yemen last year.

His parents, Neill and Bronwyn Dowrick, say their son told them he was first taught radical Islam at the Al Noor mosque.

Mr Havard moved from Australia to New Zealand in 2010. He’s remembered at the mosque by the name of Saleem Khattab.

It isn’t just his parents saying that the mosque had radical speakers. A previous investigation revealed that the Mosque hosted speakers which encouraged active engagement of violence in the struggle of jihad against the infidels.

    Stuff.co.nz:

Jones was killed alongside Australian Christopher Havard, whose parents said he was introduced to radical Islam at the Al-Noor mosque in Christchurch.

Mosque leaders confirmed Havard stayed there and studied in 2011, but denied radical teaching took place. But a man who attended a converts’ weekend at the mosque 10 years ago said a visiting speaker from Indonesia talked about violent jihad and plenty shared his views. “Most of the men were angry with the moral weakness of New Zealand. I would say they were radical.”

Incidentally, this piece from Stuff.co.nz was wiped from the Internet by the publisher while I was writing this article, forcing me to hunt down an archive link to have a reference for this story. Which means the lying media is not merely in blackout mode on this story. They’re actively trying to cover up the this mosque’s history of producing international terrorists. This censorship effort is happening in real time.”

    Calli,

All I need is The Coors, thank you. They leave me breathless, if you get my drift.

They didn’t answer my job offer for three Irish au pairs, though.

  4. rickw

    Then the Moslems came.

So likely the number of innocents killed is less that the total number killed.

  5. calli

Bother. Back early. I slipped over and went flying – legs one way, specs the other. Now recovering on the sofa, bruised leg up.

Too much “walking music” and a leprechaun lurking on the bridge.

  6. Eyrie

Radical muslims want to kill you, moderate muslims want radical muslims to kill you.
Alternatively: moderate Islam – AK’s and RPG’s only, no crew served weapons.

  7. rickw

If it was, Jupes, then shooting up a couple of mosques is not going to do anything except engender sympathy for Muslims. If he was really upset about Muslim immigration he would have shot of the minister for immigration.

The logical conclusion, unfortunately he’s a lunatic so he didn’t correctly join the dots on who needed shooting. The list might have been a little more extensive than just the immigration minister if he’d really thought about it.

  8. Miltonf

Tinterella if you see this, is there a candidate in Paramatta worth voting for next Saturday?

  9. Knuckle Dragger

Mr Tarrant can raise his bat to the baying masses.

    Half-century up.

  10. Mater

I never said people shouldn’t be allowed to read the manifesto.
    Why would I?

Then don’t be surprised when the media and politico start leading you around by the nose.

Lies can only be countered by facts. If you don’t have the facts, you’re just part of the herd.

  11. Notafan

I said we wouldn’t learn anything from that all over the place manifesto which is why I wouldn’t waste my time reading it.

That doesn’t lead to the conclusion that the media going to lead me around by the nose.

The people who allow the media to lead them around by the nose have been doing so for years regardless of any stupid manifesto.

  12. Mater

I said we wouldn’t learn anything from that all over the place manifesto which is why I wouldn’t waste my time reading it.

How do you know it is “all over the place”?

    That can’t be!

Seven News tells me it was a place of love and peace.

Oh, and Fraser Anning doublebad 666 for giving that idiotic punk a clip over the ears.

  16. Given the current debate about immigration, perhaps it’s a good time to reflect on Ronald Reagan’s final speech

This I believe is one of the most important sources of America’s greatness. We lead the world because unique among nations, we draw our people, our strength, from every country and every corner of the world … Thanks to each wave of new arrivals to this land of opportunity, we’re a nation forever young, forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on the cutting edge; always leading the world to the next frontier …

I wonder if Fatty 5D* has read it.

I believe the ‘manifesto’ mentioned this when discussing target selection.

  20. Twostix

The only factor in yesterday’s violence was the decision by a Breivikian extremist to murder dozens of innocent people. What political outcome he thinks will come of this, only he knows, but if he was trying to garner support for immigration restriction, it will not work.

I bet he’s really an accelerationist. He wants a complete meltdown of the system. He wants crackdowns and suppression and pm’s wearing the hijab.

He’s going to get it too.

  21. Candy

Must be very hard for Tarrant’s mother, on many levels. You just can’t even begin to understand what she must be going through.

  22. Knuckle Dragger

Jesus wept. The spastic herder*’s awake.

    Things Reagan did NOT say:

“We lead the world because unique among nations, we solicit and import thousands upon thousands of people who have no interest in our way of life, our culture or assimilation. We crave those that seek to make ethnicity-based ghettos for themselves, are well over-represented in crime statistics and make up a disproportionate number of our prisoners.

“We want those who clog up our health systems, have little interest in education, who adhere to a Stone Age death cult and desire for us to pay them to import their equally useless family members, to have more children for the next generation of failure, to provide free living, medical and legal expenses for them, and who would kill us given half a chance.”

    * The spastic herder is a lying, communist-adoring window licking crayon eater, and was the only Australian ever to ‘serve’ in Vietnam.

Trump Reverses Wage-Boosting Campaign Commitment, Demands More Legal Immigration: ‘We Need People’ (6 Feb)

During his State of the Union (SOTU) address this week, Trump went off-script while discussing national immigration policy, saying he wanted to admit “the largest numbers ever” of legal immigrants to the country.

You have a short memory, he said this only about 6 weeks ago. Or maybe the ABC and the Guardian didn’t report it. Are you going to give Trump credit for doing what you just commended Reagan for?

Islam has declared perpetual war on the kufar, the idea that there are innocent muslims is rubbish, Anymore than the idea there were innocent germans under the Nazis. During total war citizens are legal targets. Hitler delcared total war just as islam has.

Islam has made it abundantly clear that citizens are not only legal targets but the ideal soft target.

The only innocent muslims are those that abandon the cult.

The cats here that talk about “innocent muslims” are basically pretending islam’s declaration of war doesn’t exist.

It is the duty of every muslims to either wage jihad or support muslims that wage jihad.

Muslims that do not support jihad will burn in hell according the koran.

  27. Are you going to give Trump credit for doing what you just commended Reagan for?

    So.
I haven’t read a lot of detail about Tarrant, the super-soldier who was “at his best in the heat of a fire-fight”.
But from what I gather he killed three dozen at the first mosque, then managed to get another half dozen at the second mosque until someone fired back.
At which point super-soldier retreated to his armoured Toyota Yaris and started to do drive-bys until Plod rammed him.
What happened to “loving the fire-fight”?

    Left-wing politics
    From Wikipedia

Left-wing politics supports social equality and egalitarianism, often in opposition to social hierarchy.[1][2][3][4] It typically involves a concern for those in society whom its adherents perceive as disadvantaged relative to others (prioritarianism) as well as a belief that there are unjustified inequalities that need to be reduced or abolished (by advocating for social justice).[1] The term left-wing can also refer to “the radical, reforming, or socialist section of a political party or system”.[5]

The political terms “Left” and “Right” were coined during the French Revolution (1789–1799), referring to the seating arrangement in the French Estates General: those who sat on the left generally opposed the monarchy and supported the revolution, including the creation of a republic and secularization,[6] while those on the right were supportive of the traditional institutions of the Old Regime. Use of the term “Left” became more prominent after the restoration of the French monarchy in 1815 when it was applied to the “Independents”.[7] The word “wing” was appended to Left and Right in the late 19th century, usually with disparaging intent and “left-wing” was applied to those who were unorthodox in their religious or political views.

The term was later applied to a number of movements, especially republicanism during the French Revolution in the 18th century, followed by socialism,[8] communism, anarchism and social democracy in the 19th and 20th centuries.[9] Since then, the term left-wing has been applied to a broad range of movements[10] including civil rights movements, feminist movements, anti-war movements and environmental movements,[11][12] as well as a wide range of parties.[13][14][15] According to former professor of economics Barry Clark, “[leftists] claim that human development flourishes when individuals engage in cooperative, mutually respectful relations that can thrive only when excessive differences in status, power, and wealth are eliminated”.[16]

    Right-wing politics
    From Wikipedia,

The political terms “Left” and “Right” were first used during the French Revolution (1789–1799) and referred to seating arrangements in the French parliament: those who sat to the right of the chair of the parliamentary president were broadly supportive of the institutions of the monarchist Old Regime.[15][16][17][18] The original Right in France was formed as a reaction against the “Left” and comprised those politicians supporting hierarchy, tradition, and clericalism.[4]:693 The use of the expression la droite (“the right”) became prominent in France after the restoration of the monarchy in 1815, when it was applied to the Ultra-royalists.[19] The people of English-speaking countries did not apply the terms “right” and “left” to their own politics until the 20th century.[20]

The question from a legal perspective in determining culpability is whether or not the person’s judgement was affected by delusions that are particular to the person affecting their capacity and judgement.
Without knowing, my guess is that the person’s demonstrated executive function and lack of a history of either psychosis or mania, or of behaviour that reasonable people such as family or friends would have noted, as well as his age, indicate that the person is not mentally ill.
The person is significantly disordered to have acted in such a way, but not to the extent where the person had no control or lack of insight into the consequences of the behaviour.

The thing that gets me is the reaction to the events on Friday in NZ. Actually, I shouldn’t be at all surprised, is the hypocrisy and double-standards of the Left-media, and the Left-political class (including our own Government).

Muslims have been mowing down hundreds if not thousands of Christians over the last few months and barely a whisper about it by Western elites. Churches and Cathedrals have been bombed, their congregations murdered, and the events go by without comment – and if there is comment, it’s probably just a half column or a line or two buried somewhere at the back of the paper.

Now we have some loon taking out a number of Muslims in NZ and holey-moley it’s like the sky has fallen. Newspapers have devoted pages and pages to it. Politicians are falling over themselves to allocate blame and offer sympathies – and as a result countries like Australia and New Zealand are set to lose even more of their precious freedoms.

Yet, hundreds of Christians die and there are no consequences, no conversations about whether Islam is a good fit for the West, or whether churches in the West need protection from enemies within.

It’s just a case of move alone, nothing to see here. Nothing at all.

This is not the manifesto of a “right wing extremist”.

Still catching-up, and sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I do not believe that Brenton Tarrant personally wrote that manifesto. The use of “Z”‘s, instead of “S”‘s, in traditional Australian spelling, IE: Destabilize and Globalize (pages 66 & 67), is a dead giveaway. It appears that Brenton has predominately ‘cut and pasted’ this manifesto.
This was written by an American.

With the operational similarities between the the Spanish embassy and Christchurch attacks in mind one cannot help but observe that global attention has been ripped away from potential peace talks between the US and North Korea. The gross showmanship of the Tarrant in broadcasting murders for the world to see was an intentional attempt to capture attention and shift global discussion by committing a heinous act of terror. As the Christchurch attacks unfolded, North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui made an announcement blaming US administration officials for a breakdown in denuclearization talks and threatened to break off negotiations to resume testing. These comments were immediately highlighted by Russian news agency TASS and the international press. Other comments clarifying that personal relations between Mr. Kim and Mr. Trump were still good and their chemistry “mysteriously wonderful” were almost totally ignored in coverage of the press conference.

The official facts of the Christchurch terror attacks will likely shift over time in the same way that official narratives fed to the public by federal investigators changed constantly in the aftermath of the 2017 Las Vegas shooting. But the apparent military and intelligence connections of perpetrators in the attack, the discrepancies between the official reports about the size of the group of suspects and footage of the event as it unfolded and the operational similarities to the North Korean embassy incident will continue to erode confidence that the public is being given all the facts.

But when you really think about it, aren’t we already at war, and should not we be fighting already?

The West has been at war with Islam nearly 1600 years. During that time countless tens of thousands have been massacred. The bottom line is that Islam is incompatible in the west and wherever moslems migrate into the west, trouble, expense and violence will surely follow. Our Govts have failed us, letting more moslems into our communities. The Thought Police ban discussion of this problem. I don’t know what kind of fight you have in mind when the full weight of the Govt is explicitly against doing so and capitulates to Islamism on a daily basis.

All I was saying and was in response to another comment was I’m not going to LEARN from el stupido manifesto.

It’s not going to give anyone any insight into the thinking of the ‘right wing’

It’s just a justification for terror, like the crap Islamic state puts out.

I haven’t read mein Kampf for the same reason.

I read that Swedish precise, and a couple of other things, more than enough.

  178. A Lurker

For those who don’t have Facebook. This piece was posted by Milo Yiannopoulos:

“The Al Noor mosque in Christchurch targeted by Brenton Tarrant produced at least two terrorists, from a very small congregation: al-Qaida recruit Daryl Jones, killed by a drone, and Christopher Havard. The parents of these boys say their sons were radicalized by extremist preachers at Al Noor. The boys were in Yemen with the guys who trained the Charlie Hebdo killers. A 2014 story at Stuff.co.nz (now scrubbed from the internet) quotes a mosque attendee who says, “A visiting speaker from Indonesia talked about violent jihad and plenty shared his views.” Three questions: How many news reports have you read these details in? If you’d known that this mosque was a terrorist factory, would it have changed your feelings about the news at all? Finally, how does it make you feel to learn that the media has been not just ignoring these facts but deleting stories to hide them over the past 24 hours?”

I have no idea if it is true or not, but it warrants further investigation.

  179. Arky

Johno, your body can get used to the nasal spray over time and it’s then that you need to switch and try a different brand.

Zippy, stop quoting the guy in the affirmative.

It gives credence to what he said. Just stop.

I am sorry but his manifesto is not choka full of falsehoods. There are plenty of falsehoods however the core argument is based on facts. We shouldn’t just sweep them under the carpet because he snapped.

We are in the next legacy of the boomers which is the bust. The boomers heralded the greatest growth in prosperity in human civilisation but with every boom there is a bust.

The Boomer Bust is a period of decay that will play out this entire century.

We have been feeling the moral decay, the decay in rule of law and now just starting to feel the financial decay. And it’s the financial decay which is behind mass migration.

The worst cause of low birthrates are progressive policies that encourage women to be financial contributors rather than traditional maternal roles. Policies that legalise various forms of murder. Policies that recognise non-breeding pathologies as acceptable and normal. Policies that attack the family as the core of western culture. Policies that undermine western christian moral values.

Only a moron would fail to see that these policies create unsustainable downward population pressure but hey that’s the unstated objective. When was the last time you saw any media question any politician about low birth rates?

Low birth rates since the 70s, masked only by the longevity of boomers are creating a long term deflationary cycle which gives every western government the heebie jeebies. Instead of looking at the policies that contribute to low birth rates, the uniparty not just accept but revel in self loathing civilisational euthanasia.

The response of the uniparty is The Great Replacement™ and suppression of any criticism thereof.

    UPDATED 20 MINS AGO

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his family have gathered at a Coptic church in southern Sydney to pray with the Arabic community after the Christchurch massacre.

Mr Morrison arrived at St Mark Coptic Church in Arncliffe in southern Sydney with his wife and two daughters on Sunday morning.

He was joined by Immigration Minister David Coleman to pray for the victims of Friday’s massacre.

Johno, humidifiers are excellent for sinus problems. They aren’t expensive. Put one on at night. It help you sleep.

On the other hand, de-humidifiers are very effective in preventing the development of indoor moulds that are often the cause of sinusitis.
The moulds require a damp surface or indoor relative humidity levels in excess of 95% to develop, so a small refrigeration-cycle dehumidifier in “economy mode” should be enough to protect a number of rooms.

Yes any pushback is a good thing. However Govt, political parties and affiliations, the media, countless quasi-Govt bodies ever watchful of erroneous thoughts or speech, social media platforms…. there is a lot of pro-islamic / pro-migration effort arrayed against the individual citizen preventing organised “pushback” against moslem migration. The fact is that we in the west are stuck within a powerful process that is systematically betraying us.

I spray the nose with the pressurized version of the fess of a morning while standing in the shower. Yes, it makes a mess … the process mostly depends on mechanical action of a lot of spray, plus the salty water tends to dissolve or at least loosen anything sticky and the salt gives a little bit of protection against bacteria or fungus that can grow in your sinus.

The traditional Indian version is warm slightly salty water with a pinch of turmeric, tipped into your nose with a porcelain teapot arrangement, but you have to hold your head sideways. It’s a lot less convenient than a good old Nitrogen pressure pack! I’ll take advantage of modern gear when it suits me … although like I said the 100mL can doesn’t go far, so you end up with a fair bit of Aluminum recycling … I dare say the Eco-fascists would have me up against the wall for being wasteful.

The Copts are actually the indigenous Egyptians. Egypt had a very swift and fairly comprehensive voluntary conversion to Christianity in the first centuries after Christ despite also suffering some of the more barbaric episodes of Roman repression. The Copts still start their church calendar from the year which the persecutions ceased. Coptic which is still use as a liturgical language is a direct descendant of a hieroglyphic language of the Egyptians but is now written with characters drawn from the Greek alphabet and includes Greek loanwords. That of course all changed a little later with the Arab Muslim invasions and the forced conversions to Islam and forced adoption in Arabic in Arabic script as a language.

Elle- our courts allow for kids to be tried as adults in certain circumstances, well at least they do down here. I don’t think egging a politician counts as serious or worthy of adult court but he should still be charged. And the constant refrain as this was a kid suddenly he’s no longer even a youth is also the media framing it to imply Anning hit a young child. You might work in a court and use legal Jingo all day but the average person on the street doesn’t use language in the same way and the media is playing to that. It’s their stock and trade.
