    Yes it is.

Sydney cop killings and the Lindt café were dog whistling.

Muslim terrorism in France and England is dog whistling.

If I call Muslim terrorism bad, is that dog whistling.
Or should I hide my head in the sand with my bum up in the air like SNIFFY, to be rammed by terrorism’s phallus only to pop my head out and condemn retaliation?
Well guess what , you traitorous fuckhead, SNIFFY, I condemn all of it, Muslim or otherwise.

Tell me where that is dog whistling.
And may I suggest that your irrelevance is duly noted on the many points and questions you refuse to Answer.

So again, what made Hitler right wing, SNIFFY?

If you can’t answer why a white supremist socialist was right wing, what the fuck are doing talking to adults?

Hehe, after certain actions this morning I now can see and link to this article:

After Blocking Zero Hedge And Others, NZ Telcos Demand Big-Tech Censorship Surge To “Protect Consumers”

In the wake of last week’s terror attacks at two New Zealand mosques which left 50 dead, several websites which either reported on the incident, hosted footage of the attacks, or have simply allowed people to engage in uncensored discussion such as Dissenter or Zero Hedge, have been partially or completely blocked in both New Zealand and Australia for the sake of “protecting consumers,” according to the CEOs of three New Zealand telcos.

Less than a week after Facebook ‘mistakenly’ banned us for two days with no explanation following several reports which were critical of the social media giant, we learned that Zero Hedge has now been banned in New Zealand and Australia, despite the fact that we never hosted video footage of the Christchurch attack. We were not contacted prior to the censorship. Instead, we have received a steady flood of people noting that the site is unavailable in the two countries unless a VPN is used.

I wonder how I am reading this? It’s a mystery!

He has, actually. It seems there was a “frank exchange of views.”

Not once in The Australian’s reporting on this does the journalist present the true record of British invasion of Turkey.
Numerous quotes from Erdogan and his assertion that Australian Brenton Tarrant was targeting Turkey during his attack on two Christchurch mosques. Lots of space given to “Gallipoli was anti-Islamic”
But no parenthetical or paragraph-long explanation of the need to block supply routes to Russia.

I’m going to also point out that when various European nations colonized much of the rest of the world they, were generally speaking, not doing so to further the interests of Christianity, or as Christians but rather for fun and profit, as English, or French or Germans or Spanish etc. Nor have I ever seem the numbers slaughtered by them counted in the hundreds of millions, which are the estimates for the muslim invasion of India, alone.

Christian missionaries mostly went independently of the colonisers, starting with the Apostles, to spread the Gospel and many of them paid the ultimate price for doing so. Forced conversions were the absolute exception and contrary to the exercise of the entirely Christian concept of free will.

There is no doubt Ashton and his senior VicPol staff wilfully perverted the course of justice.

    Kathy Wilcox is brilliant.
    So clear and direct.

    And so dishonest.

I think the drawing nicely encapsulates the way so many Muslims pose in front of us as harmless naifs unaware and innocent of the eddies of misapprehension and rancour that swirl all around them.

But despite that posture we know that in their mosques they welcome people who roar the most hateful insults, abuse and exhortations, that many see mainstream society as as something to sponge off, hold in contempt, and for more than a few, attack in murderous rage. Something to be turned into the homeland they deliberately left.

Once that comes to mind, that picture of the innocent little kid skipping develops an altogether different and malign significance (like a chocolate that has been laced with poison still looks exactly the same, but elicits completely different responses). And the commentary surrounding her suddenly takes on a different and more courageous hue.

Are we all certain that Wilcox is a lefty?

    Just how dangerous Erdoğan is:

“Unfortunately we the Muslims lost our aim to head towards Jerusalem. The water of our eyes froze making us blind, and our hearts that was destined to beat for Jerusalem is now instead conditioned for rivalry being in a state of war with each other.”

Erdogan’s desire to end strife and unite Sunnis and Shiites to aim towards Jerusalem was made in the state of Erzincan, central Turkey, in which he expressed his desire for the place to become suitable for Al-Isra’ Wal-M’iraj (Muhammad’s ascension to heaven and descent to Jerusalem) where he claimed is the cause of goodness: “descending from heaven over all Muslim nations”.

Turkish president called on citizens to “raise their hands in supplication for this blessed night towards Allah to restore the Al-Aqsa Mosque [Jerusalem] to be re-owned by Muslims, and to remove the mist from their eyes, to see Jerusalem in their hands at every moment and at every opportunity”.

Erdogan added: “When you mention the word ascension; the first thing that comes to mind is Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque,” while he expressed deep regret for the condition of Muslim heedlessness for Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.

Erdogan says that he wants Spain. He says he is some reincarnation of Tariq Bin Ziad, the conqueror of Spain, the tyrant Alp Arslan, and Saladin. These are the Muslim leaders who fought Christendom and Saladin was the one who conquered Jerusalem. He wants to declare war on the strongest fortresses to advance his foreign God, Allah, through warfare.

He talks of Martyrs descending from heaven. Biblically, Erdogan wants the fallen angels to descend. He wants Allah to raise Jihdists. He want to be the shepherd, the Sultan and the Caliph.

When Erdogan went to Turkey, he and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made an alliance to work together to reunite the Muslim world

A united islam; God help us if that happens because the only thing saving the West right now given the piss-weak nature of our leaders, is the disunity within islam.

Regarding the geo-blocking of websites and surveillance generally.…

As I see it, the overwhelming majority of Australians would have no idea this is happening as they don’t visit the blocked sites. It seems to me that most Australians get the majority of their news from the ‘mainstream’ or perhaps, from an equally informed work colleague.

I haven’t hunted down Tarrant’s manifesto nor the footage because firstly I can’t be bothered reading all 78 pages and secondly, the footage is not something I wish to watch. Those are my deliberate choices but I am concerned that both the NZ and Australian Govts have taken it upon themselves to make that decision for me.

Website blocking is not new (and could be justified in some very limited circumstances, ie peedofiles) but these overt Govt actions, and it appears in the case of Telstra a pre-emptive action, is yet another tell-tale marker to the new world order. Couple this latest geo-blocking with the march of intrusion into our privacy by data collation from numerous sources including your internet meta data, credit card usage, electronic train/bus/toll usage and facial recognition software that is matched to your driver’s licence and/or passport details, is very concerning. The Qld Government has recently considered expanding the capability of the facial recognition system to include eavesdropping on conversations of people in the CBD. (this already occurs in Central London and several US cities). Whilst the proposal was shelved for now, it is only a matter of time before its allowed.

The usual chestnut that “if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear” will be trotted out. Yeah, well history is littered with surveillance and eventual persecution of various minorities who also may have thought they had nothing to fear from their overlords. Not, at least, until it was too late.

By the way, the system is called iOmniscient. The name alone should send a chill down your spine.

  91. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

    “Anti-Islamic” wasn’t a thing until after the 11th of September 2001.

The reaction to this atrocity in 2001, pushed by the left, a general hush-hush about Islam and its violent jihad interpretations from all of the media and educational outlets, really opened my eyes to how morally bankrupt they were. It was appeasement through and through. Had there been a general population outcry in all media and institutions about the fact that this horrific act of terrorism was applauded in many Muslim communities, especially those who did so while living in the West, things would be better today. There should have been a firm international and governmental announcement and follow through that such celebratory behaviours should not be tolerated in Western societies and would meet the full force of the law when they occurred as law-breaking (as is happening to extremists, often poorly defined, on the right now).

Had this been done, and people arrested for incitement to violence in the same way as others would be treated (the obverse was the permitted placards about death to infidels we saw in Sydney and the Martin Place fiasco) there would not be the totally unwarranted special exclusion of Muslims from the full and equal rule of law that we see so often (hate bookshops still operate, Magistrates go light on crimes, mosques now to get special security paid by the State whereas others don’t, workplaces must comply with Muslim group demands etc). It is this refusal since 9/11 to equally apply all of our traditional laws, plus the creation of special laws intent on curtailing free speech, that has caused tremendous resentment now in local populations (as in the UK and here re the ‘rape gangs’ freely operating, or in Australia re the unequal apportionment of ‘blame’ for the Cronulla riots).

These things become running sores upon the body politic.

Muslims who live in the West should be required do as all other religions do. They should accept the separation of religion and the State and abide by ALL of the conditions of a Western rule of law. There should be explicit agreement that religious laws such as Sharia have no legal status, and will never have legal status, in the West. The laws of the Western legal systems should be applied with full force to Muslims just as they are to all others, with no exceptions. We should expect no less than that. Hopefully the sensible and moderate majority of peace-loving Muslims will refuse to complain about such equality (too often the response encouraged by the left). They could aim to show in a variety of ways that they accept living harmoniously in modernity in both word and deed – spokespeople should speak up about this.

A genuine application of full equality before the law (nothing special about being Muslim) and the freedom of speech to express concerns in a civil discourse, would satisfy many people currently disturbed by a specially protected Muslim ethnicity and would act to greatly reduce current obvious tensions. The word ‘Islamophobia’, a construct of the left’s appeasing response to 9/11, would be best put to bed, encouraging only political dissention (see the appalling Wilcox cartoon today). The sensible thing to do is to recognize that current approaches which curb a civil free speech and which entail a protected status have failed.

Immigration levels are another issue, quite separate from free speech, the separation of religion and the State, and the rule of law with regard to people already citizens of Australia.

Australians planning to travel to Turkey for Anzac Day are being urged to exercise caution and await further advice following incendiary comments by the country’s president.

Australia’s official travel advice to Turkey is under review after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Australians with anti-Muslim views travelling to Turkey would be sent home in coffins like their Anzac grandfathers in the wake of the Christchurch attacks.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s advice for Turkey is already set at “exercise a high degree of caution” and to avoid some areas of Turkey due to the high threat of terrorism.

Tour operators taking Australians to Gallipoli next month are already dealing with the fallout of President Erdogan’s comments over recent days.

The possibility of such a person being black in 19th century France seems ludicrous in the extreme. Victor Hugo did not portray his character as such, IIRR, having read it decades ago – well, skim read it anyway as it’s an enormous book and more Hugo’s views of the world than narrative.

Watching Les Miserables on Foxtel, which for some reason features a black actor as an important policeman and chief baddie Inspector Javert.

There is some series on Netflix about Casanova – the main actress (playing a woman who pretended to be a castrato) is black too. I did a bit of research and the original woman wasn’t.

We accept certain conventions that help the 2-D world of TV fill out into the 3-D world in our heads. We do not notice that all the Italians speak modern English, that time skips whole hours and days that the originals had to go through second by second, every person is healthily formed unless a deformity features in the story – hell, the Brady Bunch never went to the toilet. Conventions will always be there as long as the program has story arcs real life lack.

These conventions are a way to tell a story – they are not the story.

So these casting decisions are jarring. They snap you out of the story.

Might work on people with no historical sense, though. Who think that the past was like the present except with funny customs and funny costumes.

Maybe to the extent you suggest, haven’t seen the show. But Napoleon was very pro-black and even more pro-Islam, what’s more some overseas French colonies were part of ‘la france metropolitaine’ legally especially the North African colonies. Don’t get your colonial history from Americans who know little, right or left. Krishna Menon (quite black) was a London councillor during the WW2 Blitz, went on to be an important figure in the UN. It did not all start in the 1960s as Americans believe. It just accelerated along with postwar prosperity.

One reason Australia had the undefineable ‘spelling test’ for new arrivals (to enforce the White Australia policy) was that there were so many ‘black’, brown, asian etc people travelling with British passports. We couldn’t refuse entry to British subject without embarrassing the Empire, but we wanted still to decide ‘who comes into this country’ if only by the subjective perception of the immigration officer at the point of entry.
