If true, rejection letters are a thing to behold.

He referred to text from another rejection letter, and wrote: “You affirmed in your AIR that Jesus is your saviour, but then claimed that He would not be able to save you from the Iranian regime.

“It is therefore considered that you have no conviction in your faith and your belief in Jesus is half-hearted.”

Way Way back in time, when Tim Blair ran a very good blog, Sniffy used to come on and peddle this ignorant garbage. EVERY time he was roundly defeated. Every time. A couple of weeks later, the same thing.

The unconscious arrogance embedded in the notion that the USA always has the right to interfere in the Middle East is beyond breathtaking.

Kuwait seemed pretty happy to ask for and encourage US interference.
As I said above, I believe that the US should have moved in on Saddam at that time too.
They had a perfect opportunity, which was squandered by their withdrawal.

Here in Ncl three quarters of a million tonnes of NH4NO3 is manufactured each year, on Kooragang Island. They’re allowed to store 10,000 tonnes at any one time, so if it goes up all at once we’ll have a Hiroshima level detonation.

Shhhhh don’t give ‘them’* any ideas. Its just like after the airport security theatre introduced just after 9/11, my brother the ex NSW plod Inspector, sitting with me at the bar at Brisvegas Airport , looks over at Fisherman Island at a big LNG tanker unloading, points and – saying that going up will be a much much bigger problem than a plane going into any building in Australia

*pick your own ‘them’ … Nasties, RoP, the militant wing of the Salvation Army

  18. struth

He offers no arguments for his position, like a typical lefty just throws mud and chants has ordered chants, makes a dick of himself and leaves for about an hour, and like a true lemming comes in again for some more ass whuppin’
He’s the best advertisement for conservative values and the free market capitalist west you could ask for.

If I asked you to explain why you believed Hitler was right wing after you arrogantly expressed your superior knowledge on the subject in a condescending fashion, but after all that indoctrination, er sorry, education, couldn’t come up with anything better than Hitler was nuts and should have been called Harpic, would any of you here, still show your face, or stage name even CB Handle.
    Of course not.
And there lies the absolute ignorance and arrogance, but it is indeed more than that as I see it.
He is driven here by hate.
So blinded by hate he is quite literally incoherent with rage.
He knows he’s the smarty pants and all of those lefties he’s hung around have told him they are all the smart ones.
It’s similar to watching real urban yuppies as they pontificate how dumb their country cousins are because they saw a depiction of one on TV with a straw hanging out his mouth and bib and brace overalls on.
This insulated ignorance of the real “lay of the land” is exactly the same when it comes to lefties view of the right.
So when they actually come up against the right, they are flummoxed.

Watch his little brain turning as it keeps telling him, no they’re dumb, you’re bright, just because you can’t defend yourself means nothing, they are racists, you are a virtuous angel.
Your uni lecturer told you what you wanted to hear, so don’t start doubting it now.
And hence the ensuing train wreck when the world doesn’t conform to left wing propaganda and stereotyping.

    “The peacefulness of Iran”

Given that the CIA was instrumental in the overthrow of Mossadeq in 1953, they may perhaps be a little sensitive to US interference. The plan was to remove The Iranian government and replace it with “a pro-western government under the Shah’s leadership”.

What has followed since this period leading up to the Shah’s overthrow and beyond is primarily a consequence of American incompetence. Worked out well, didn’t it?

It’s an entirely familiar pattern – Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Chile etc…..

Wouldn’t it be lovely if every time a Christian was murdered by a Muslim anywhere in the world, radio stations aired the Pater Noster.

Yes, it would. I cannot see the Muzzie Call to Prayer being a great comfort spiritually to those who celebrate the Christian presence and culture that they live within. ‘Our Father’ is something that offers hope for the souls of our compatriots and is very often part of a service in a church or said in extremis by many informal non-believers. Like the 23rd psalm: a great part of the Christian inheritance we should value. Gab’s suggestion might remind people of all of this.

Won’t someone think of the real parrots?

    Night parrot finding quashed

Research by naturalist John Young into the habits of the elusive night parrot has been debunked by an independent panel of scientists, who are doubtful the evidence put forward between 2016 and 2018 is true or accurate.

Mr Young managed to take a photograph of the nocturnal, ground dwelling bird in 2013: the first evidence of the species in over a century.

The naturalist went on to spend two years researching the night parrot for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) between 2016 to 2018, discovering a night parrot feather at Kalamurina Wildlife Sanctuary in South Australia, nests and eggs at Diamantina National Park in Queensland and managed to gather a recording of a night parrot call.

But an independent review of the findings was unable to satisfactorily prove the evidence after several experts raised concerns about the adequacy of survey and analysis techniques.

AWC chief executive Tim Allard said all of the research will be retracted to correct the public record.

“Due to the findings, AWC is retracting records of the night parrot published by AWC. The methods used in this work were not consistent with AWC’s usual procedures,” Mr Allard said.

“We are disappointed that our processes in relation to this work were not sufficient, and we are committed to ensuring that all of our staff implement and comply with appropriate standards for recording significant scientific data.”

The panel of four prominent ornithologists and conservation scientists found the recorded night parrot call from 2018 was actually a playback of publicly available recordings of a Western Australian bird and did not prove the elusive bird was in the Kalamurina region of South Australia. Likewise, the nests and eggs could not be proven to belong to the night parrot.

Some of Mr Young’s other research, including findings related to the Buff-breasted Button-quail, have also been retracted because of similar concerns.

The existence of the night parrot has been a mystery for birdwatchers and nature lovers around the world to solve for more than a century. Many have tried to rediscover the creature since populations of the species crashed in the late 1800s.

Several experts, including Australian National University scientist Penny Olsen, believe Mr Young’s picture of bright yellow and green parrot among the spinifex-clad ranges of a Brighton Downs cattle property, were staged.

Today has been the worst week ever for conservatives in Australia.

A left wing terrorist kills 50 Muslims in NZ enabling Muslims and the left to carry on as if all their Christmases have come at once:
    * The terrorist is branded “right wing” by all and sundry including the Australian PM.
    * Therefore “right wing” is officially and forever more linked to racism. A MAJOR propaganda coup for the left and Islam.
    * Greenies and Muslims go on the offensive and falsely blame “right wing (conservative) hate speech.
    * The NZ PM surrenders to Islam by wearing a hijab, ordering the Islamic call to prayer be played on state media and even ordering NZ policewomen to wear the hijab!
    * With the exception of Fraser Anning, conservative politicians lay down and take it.
    * Conservative commentators offer very little resistance (with the exception of Bolta last night).
    * SloMo demeans himself and the office of PM by arguing with Waheely Bin that no, he’s not racist, he really does like Islam. He even goes to mosques!
    * The terrorists manifesto is disappeared so Muslims and lefties can continue to lie about it.

Thank goodness for President Trump. He offered the only glimmer of hope by accurately describing white racism as a relatively small problem and then recognising Israel’s ownership of the Golan Heights in a major fuck you to the UN and Muslim nations.

  74. DrBeauGan

Jupes, he wasn’t left wing. He describes himself, plausibly, as a Moselyite. Sir Oswald Mosely being a great admirer of Mussolini, and also known as Sir Roderick Spode if you know the PG Wodehouse books. At the time he was considered right wing. He wanted a peace treaty with Hitler, and Churchill had Mosely interned for most of WW2. He was aided by one David Irving in a debate at Oxford, back in the days when it was considered a good idea to let your enemies damn themselves.

So there’s no plausible way you can call him a lefty. Fascist would, for once, be accurate. Loony is beyond dispute. But his manifesto is worth reading, many of his objections to the status quo are reasonable.

Yes, and the world would have been better off if the US had declared victory in Afghanistan back in early 2002 when al Qaeda had been all but destroyed, handed it over to the secular warlords who were strong enough to keep it, and gone home. Bin Liner would have been found eventually anyway.

But no way the progressives were going to allow that. They wanted an “acceptable” government, whatever that is, and a full-on Marshall Plan sort of rebuilding of the place.

So, here we are 18 years later, gobs of blood and heaps of treasure gone, on the verge of giving it back to islamic nutcases again.

I don’t like the hypocritical Waleed, no one here does.
Do we have to like him now?

He’s a complete hypocritical POS, and we can prove it.
He’s a snake oil salesman of the very worst kind and is deliberately twisting reality for propaganda purposes.
He’s devastated when Muslims get killed but shrugs off as an irritant when westerners are.
If I am not allowed to say that, which we can prove, why not?
    He is a disgrace.
For Slo MO to speak to that POS shows an absolute idiocy from our PM that is beyond belief.
Even the ensuing headline justifies my position as the interview was described as a “clash” as if Waleed is that important that he could possibly clash with a PM.
He’s just another left wing hypocritical talking head on another TV show designed to make 20 some things not stray from the line of indoctrination brainwashed into them from the institution they just left, the education system.

And Sinclair, I refuse to change my mind about Islam and “like it” just because it has had one terrorist act committed against it by what actually truly does turn out to be a lone wolf.

I have denounced the mass murderous act as barbaric, and evil.
I however, do not forget passed Muslim atrocities, and not that I don’t have to forget, since two Islamic terrorist attacks have already happened since this one in Christchurch.
One was an attempt to kill ALL 50 plus children on a bus by burning them alive.
Another was on a Tram in Holland.

    I condemn them all.
I condemn the lying media and the political elite for calling this right wing for no other reason than it was about defending whites, which has nothing to do with right wing politics and no one has been able to ever prove that collectivist racism has had anything to do with right wing politics.

If this makes me a right wing extremist I might suggest that it’s because who ever is looking at me is doing so from a position too far to the left to see clearly.

One, most of those were suicides
Two, some of those were arseholes that were going to kill or ra pe someone who was able to defend themselves even though weaker physically like women.
Three, if you take the guns away from law abiding citizens the government and the crooks (but I repeat myself) get to keep theirs.
This makes the line up easier to control on the way to the gas chambers.

    And very much 4.

I watched it too Cassie. Odious.

Hinch and Koch ambushed her, then shouted over her. They were unafraid to use the Christchurch horror to score political points, the very thing they accused others of. The sheer aggression was stomach churning, apart from the stench of hypocrisy.

It’s never “bullying” when it’s done to Pauline.

I went to a function last night because it is a J**wish holiday called “Purim”…we celebrate the fact that God saved us from being physically eliminated by a mean Persian king 2,500 years ago. As you might all know, our history is peppered with tyrants trying to physically and spiritually eliminate us but thankfully….they’ve always failed and we’re still here…but anyway I digress. I was at a table and we were all talking and agreeing about how “right-wing” we are now. Somebody laughed and said to the table, which also had two Holocaust survivors sitting there, how according to the left we’re all “nazis” now. Everybody laughed…including the two elderly Holocaust survivors…one of whom was in Auschwitz….but then we stopped laughing…what is really insulting is that the word “nazi”, casually used by the left to smear anyone who disagrees with them, is being cheapened and devalued of any meaning.

When morons whine about guns and “gun violence” (a nicely nuanced piece of bullshit prose) in the US I’m always curious if they are willing to go house to house in Chicago to demand all those already illegal guns be handed over.

Where are the other conservatives? All missing in action.

Have to agree, Cassie. The line of least resistance is a disappointing one to see.
The conservative side is terribly fractured and this does not make for solidarity, as each one has their eye on the voters who may bleed to another small Party then the mainstream media pile on, as they will and do.

Pauline does bear the brunt of it, and Koch’s treatment of her was beyond the domestic violence of a brutal man commanding it over his wife; it was political violence in that same brutal form of near-physical threat with verbal abuse, to an elected representative woman on TV in your living room.

If he doesn’t offer her an apology he should be fired. If this was reversed as a right to left situation involving an elected woman, or any woman expressing in civil language a political position that is not violent nor indeed racist, the perp would do the perp walk out of the place, and the police may well have been called. After seeing the disgraceful display of lies and incitement to attack that half of the population disagreeing with him, put on by the Green’s Di Natale on the Bolt Report last night, it is obvious just how far down the road to democratic failure Australia has travelled.

Anti-immigration populists surge in fragmented Dutch elections

An anti-immigration populist party has won the most votes in elections for the upper house of parliament in the Netherlands, days after a shooting in Utrecht, robbing the governing coalition of its majority and forcing it to seek new alliances on the left.

Let us look at homicide rates in NZ and Australia with the Howard laws coming in after 1996:
    Per 1000 people:
    1970’s: Australia 1.9 NZ 1.6

    1980’s Australia 1.95 NZ 1.64

    1990s Australia 1.76 NZ 1,57

    2000’s Australia 1.6 NZ 1.67

    2010’s Australia — NZ 1.35

In words: Both NZ and Australian murders were stable through the 70’s and 80’s, with NZ significantly less than Australia, and with similar gun laws in both countries.
In the 1990’s both countries had slight reductions in murders, with Howard bringing in stricter gun laws after Port Arthur.
In the 2000’s Australia has a decrease in murders and NZ had an increase.
In the 2010’s this reversed, with NZ having a dramatic decrease in murders, below even 70’s or 80’s numbers.
The conclusion? Gun laws are not tied to homicide rates at all. Or if they are, there are other much, much more significant factors that remain unaccounted for.
It took me 15 minutes to find and calculate these figures. Why can’t someone like Numbers do the same before arguing that gun confiscations save lives?

One of the women featured in the photo, Gabby Giffords, was shot in the head by a gunman in 2011.

The article, which appeared in the March issue of American Rifleman, took aim at new gun control legislation being pushed by congressional Democrats, which its author, NRA lobbyist Chris Cox, argued targeted gun owners “for persecution”.

It included the headline “Target Practice” next to an image of Ms Pelosi and other politicians, including former Democratic House member Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head when a gunman opened fire at a political meeting in 2011, killing six and wounding 13 others.

The reason why Pauline Hanson is asked on to talk shows is that she is particularly inarticulate and it allows the host to show how superior they are while the audience laughs along and reinforces their stereotypes of people on the right being uneducated knuckle draggers.

They win both ways. They exploit her when she’s popular and can lay the boot in when she’s perceived to be on the nose.

This applies to most of the right wing figures who are regularly invited on to Q&A. Rarely do they choose folk who can string a few words together. That would interrupt the entertaining spectacle of ridiculing the non-Lefty.

She also has a quick wit about her and if you doubt it then read below.

It’s got to be the answer of the year.

During a press conference, a reporter with MSNBC hollered from the press corps, “Where is President Trump hiding his tax returns?

Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, astutely responded, “We’ve found a very secure place and I’m certain they won’t be found.”

And just where is that?”, said the reporter, sarcastically.
Sanders grinned sardonically and said, “They are underneath Obama’s birth certificate, college records, his passport application, his immigration status as a student, his funding sources to pay for college, his college records, and his Selective Service registration.

Deaths from suicide occur among males at a rate three times greater than that for females. In 2016, the standardised death rate for males was 17.8 deaths per 100,000 people, while for females it was 5.8 deaths per 100,000 people.[1]

If only they didnt have the second amendment as well!!!!

From this report we find that the US is far from being ranked 3rd in homicides. The top 3 nations are:

El Salvador- 108.8 intentional homicides per 100,000
    Honduras- 63.8
    Venezuela- 57.2
The US rate is 4.9, putting it way down the list at #94 (out of 219).

Even if we count the absolute number of homicides instead of homicide rate, the US still isn’t 3rd. In absolute numbers, the top 3 countries are:

    Brazil- 55,574
    India- 41,623
    Mexico- 20,762
The US is number 8, with 15,696 homicides in 2015.

(Note murder rates overall, so deaths by firearm even lower)

So our Tardy commenter is doing the usual bullcrap of lumping in all firearms related deaths with the homicide rate, a fairly spastic trick to play.

Now let’s compare the gun death rates (all causes) in Australia and the USA.
    USA – 12.21 per 100000
    Australia – 1.04 per 100000

Try looking at the number Numbers.

Compared with white men, the researchers found that black men experienced 27 more firearm homicides per 100,000 people annually nationwide (29.12 for black men vs. 2.1 for white men).

The disparities in how black and white men die in gun violence, state by state (CNN, Apr 2018)

You’ll see if you look at the breakdown by state that despite much higher firearm ownership there are many states with firearm death rates lower than Australia’s – for the white community. Are you saying that black people shouldn’t be allowed to own firearms?

A new populist, Eurosceptic party has achieved the remarkable feat of going from zero seats to becoming the largest single party in the Dutch Senate in a single election, as a young politician likened to a “Dutch Donald Trump” beat seasoned professionals in Wednesday’s poll.

Thierry Baudet’s Forum for Democracy party, which has gained attention for its Euroscepticism, campaigned against open borders politics and against what he calls “climate-change hysteria,” winning 86 seats across the Dutch regions. The victory put his party ahead of even the ruling mainstream conservative People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), which achieved 80 seats.

Pretty incredible, but then the ruskies have always been decent with science other than a few hiccups with Stalin etc., and it appears their scientist population isn’t infected with the gerbiling virus ours are in the west.

A Russian model predicting and back testing gerbil warming has been the most accurate at this stage. It’s been so good, apparently that it’s even predicted pauses. At this stage the model suggests the warming is going to be nowhere near what the Western gerbilers are suggesting. Alarmism has been debunked.

    https://twitter.com/lizard_fish/status/1108159567945523200

As someone says, unless anyone can come up with arguments the Russians have fucked it up in some way, then their model is the most accurate. Just to be sure, it suggests some warming, but the level is at such a low level that it would be beneficial for humanity in net terms.

The purple line going through the observations is the Russian model “INM-CM4.” It is the only model that comes close to reality. INM-CM4, over longer periods, does very well at hindcasting observed temperatures. This model uses a CO2 forcing response that is 37% lower than the other models, a much higher deep ocean heat capacity (climate system inertia) and it exactly matches lower tropospheric water content and is biased low above that. The other models are biased high. The model predicts future temperature increases at a rate of about 1K/century, not at all alarming and much lower than the predictions of the other models.

I was astounded that Numbers used suicide count in his split of deaths caused by war, vs death caused by guns.

Think about this: a large chunk of the suicides in the USA are veterans who can’t adjust to society because of the wars they have been through. Numbers counts these as “cause by guns” and shocking does not count them as “caused by war”. Let that sink in, with the context that Numbers himself is a veteran who never managed to adjust to society and leave the war behind him. Man that’s not “sad” in the Trumpian sense, that’s tragic.

and compare it with the gun murder rate in Flyover County USA, where every pickup has a gun rack in it.

  216. Arky

Beaugan if you just forwarded my email to someone else without first asking me I am seriously pissed off with you.
    You better be kidding.

    Nothing tricky about women.
    They are nest builders.
Avoid the seriously fucked up ones completely (ref- crazy/hot matrix).
Treat all others as wanting your stuff.

  218. Geriatric Mayfly

I presume he was using a PA system in his denounceification?

Too fat and lazy, most of them, to climb the steps up the minaret five times a day.

  219. Arky

    I’m not buying it.
No one could be that socially retarded. Not even you.
    Try again.

  220. Elle

What are you blokes doing with your email addresses? You need a woman to sort your unorganised shit out. Good grief! 😉

  221. JC

Why even bother to do that, Drillsie. Vermont has virtually no state based gun restrictions. It’s the bluest of blue and the homicide rate is around the lowest.

  222. Eyrie

“Household firearm ownership levels are strongly associated with higher rates of suicide, consistent with the hypothesis that the availability of lethal means increases the rate of completed suicide.”
If you don’t have the right to check out anytime you’ve got nothing.
At least most suicides don’t involve other people in the act. Yeah it’s bad but removing guns isn’t the answer. Anyone can suicide by gun without owning one. Only it involves an unwitting policeman. Alternatively some poor truckie that you head on into.

Beaugan if you just forwarded my email to someone else without first asking me I am seriously pissed off with you.
    You better be kidding.

Arky, I explained why you should get in touch with me, namely a nice lady wanted to get in touch with Struth. Your paranoi is showing.

  224. C.L.

Note well that Anthony Mundine was admitted to New Zealand today despite repeatedly and viciously claiming that 2,996 murder victims deserved what they got on 9/11.

  225. DrBeauGan

Just heard from the nice lady, Arky. She wrote:

Been catching up with the Cat, hoping Struth would email before I have to go out. Now I’ll have to live up to your kind words but thanks for the help. Btw have offered Arky nude photos of me. Serve him right.

  226. Arky

I have blocked that person as I never asked you to forward my email to them.
If you ain’t kidding you might like to him/her explain why I won’t be replying.
I still think you are pulling my leg.

Meanwhile Country Music coulda been Justin Carter is dead after the gun in his pocket, ‘went off and caught him in the corner of his eye’ reportedly according to his mum.
In amongst announcement of a #gofundme page, increasingly common for aspiring musicians, his mum is reported to have said that, ‘He believed in our God’, and that he had the good book in his truck as well as other places.
Having listened to the tune, it can be reported that in spite of the personal tragedy, many normal people may have assisted if the gun had failed on its own accord.

Lol The Dumb. While leftie ladies around the world are donning headscarves, Fitzpirate has taken his off.

Other Muslims, including some peak bodies, have expressed how fed up they are with these condemnations and assumptions of collective responsibility and guilt. This has been a welcome change. I, an Australian Muslim, refuse to condemn the violence that took place on Bourke Street. To ask me to condemn is to strip me of my basic humanity. It asks me to disprove an assumption that I inherently support such actions; it denies me the right to mourn the loss of life. The act of condemnation immediately binds me to a person – to their life, their history, their motivations, hopes, dreams, fears and troubles – who was one among the 24 million other strangers to me in this country.

Asking Muslims to assume some kind of pastoral responsibility over a mythical homogenous “community” not only relies on a racist framing of every Muslim as a potential terrorist, but it locates the “problem” in Islam and “culture”, not politics. The script we are given for talking about the war on terror is censored and redacted.

    Very reasonable argument.

    Collective blame games suck.

Dexter was a Dr also an introvert with little compulsion skills. Arky has crazy AOC eyes so something good will come of it.
