PDT on the 4th of July

Anyone can be an American but madly many Americans don’t want to be Americans. Luckily many other Americans do. In 1776 the US carved out a way of life that has kept the true notion of freedom alive in the face of its enemies who exist at every turn. Utopians who are united in their stupidity and ignorance are everywhere. This is Donald Trump on the Fourth of July.

Shorter version:

And the longer version:

An actual photo of the crowd from here. Otherwise already almost unattainable.

  1. Today, Ich bin ein Amerikaner.
    Maaate.

  2. Herbert Hoover was never really a “business man”. He was a successful mining engineer and thereafter a government functionary of sorts.
This is the first time a successful businessman who has built an industry, negotiated with corrupt unions (good preparation for DC) and made billions, has decided to donate the rest of his life to public service in the honest meaning of the term. Perhaps his years dealing with the construction industry and his early life collecting rents for his father, made him more alert to the common man. “Sympathetic” is not the right term as it is often a label beneath which the greedy amass fortunes.

  3. Iampeter

Ah yes. Religious conservatives and nationalists celebrating the victorious declaration of independence from religious conservatives and nationalists.

    Makes sense!

  4. jupes

    Makes sense!

Indeed. Unlike anything you have ever posted.

  5. Ellen of Tasmania

But why did he sign FASAB56? How can a nation be truly free when the government can hide so much from the people?

I would truly love POTUS to be everything that the Qanon crowd believe him to be, but things like FASAB56 make me think that he’s just hope porn for conservatives.

As per Ross Cameron: “the greatest living human being”!

  7. Linden

He talks about the Beirut Embassy bombing in 1983, the yanks were so dumb there, that the guards on in the control box at the entrance had their rifles but they had absolutely no ammunition in them they were useless, and the truck was able to just drive through and and blow the joint up. I remember listening to lecture given by a gentleman from Israel with the Wiseman Institute when I was at the Victoria SFSL at Mcleod many years ago now. I wonder what lessons they learnt from that little faux pas!

  8. Linden

My own little faux pas there it was the Weizmann Institute.

  9. That must be a photo from one of Obama’s rallies, Trump could never draw big crowds. The MSM have told us this. 🙂

The Left must be eating their own bile as Trump lays one blow after another to their stupid ideals and brings more to his cause.

Ever since 1700, Christians have been riding in the back of the Enlightenment’s bus. They prefer one driver to the other, but they have paid for the bus and the gasoline. They do not get to select the map or take the steering wheel.

(The French Revolution was the implementation of left-wing Enlightenment thought. The American Revolution was the implementation of right-wing Enlightenment thought. Both versions led to a violent revolution….

Revolutions mean the centralization of power. Until conservatives figure this out, they are not going to understand what is going on, and what has been going on for the past 500 years. Revolutions centralize power. In order to fight centralized power militarily, you must centralize power, and this only leads to a shift of loyalty to a new group of centralists. We are slow learners. )

More advice on ‘what makes sense’ from ‘Iampeter’ – a character whose vote for the current Australian Prime Minister went to a cowardly, accused exponent of non-consensual horizontal jogging with a drunk, drugged minor.

Yeah, that makes sense…to selectively-blind, crim-friendly hypocritical Leftards.

  12. C.L.

I’m sorry but this was just a weird debacle and it must have cost a hundred million, at least.

  13. Infidel Tiger

Don’s greatest talent is exposing his enemies for who they really are.

Dude is the most American man in history.

  14. C.L.

That’s fine on Twitter and at rallies but scrambling Stealths cost taxpayers’ dollars. Millions of dollars.

Yeah, imagine the nurses and teachers it could have paid for, not to mention refugees?

    /sarc
Man does not live by bread alone. India has millions of people living in dire poverty, yet they can manage space exploration and a huge military, same as some other nations we actually support with our taxes.

Have a go at them sometimes.
Really CL lately you are beginning to sound like a holier than thou preacher.

  16. struth

You do post some shit max.

  17. That’s fine on Twitter and at rallies but scrambling Stealths cost taxpayers’ dollars. Millions of dollars.

Far from it. These things are all budgeted for on an annual basis and form part of annual operational costs. Each hour of flight, maintenance etc is factored in every year and well in advance. This would have been part of the annual PR budget for the services. Some of it forms part of training as well.

How do you think our air force manages to put on air displays at public events? Do you believe that the public should never see the assets that they pay for in actual flight? Should the Roulettes not fly because it costs something? Should there be no open days for Army, Navy or Air Force because it costs something?

Today 6th July is George W. Bush’s birthday. The contrast between W and Trump couldn’t be greater.

  19. Mother Lode

I think the spectacle of the 4th July worked as an assertion of what America is, directed to people who gave for decades been marginalised and maligned. After so long a time of being told that they are a doomed demographic whose final passing will be unnoticed and unlamented. Here they will have the feeling that they are numerous, they are strong, and they are here.

Trump was saying that their America is back.

  20. stackja

    Defeatism has been defeated.

  21. Natural Instinct

    Steve,

If America is so great why could they not get the poor bastard a tarp?
And don’t tell me it was some “with the people” empathy plan.
The great unwashed have been standing in the rain for their rulers’ speeches for thousands of years.

Idiot is, as idiot says. F. Gump

Flight hours clocked as part of training. The fly over would have cost zilch. If not on 4th of July, those hours would have been done over a desert or ocean. ZERO COST to taxpayer for having it done on the 4th.
Unpatriotic nation hating pricks can never understand the value of pride in ones country.

Trump and his sidekick speech writer/advisor Stephen Miller are a formidable team of trolls.
The parking of a couple of armoured vehicles on the road side would have been Miller’s idea. Master level troll.
The idiot TDS addled MSM fell for it hook line and sinker.

That wasn’t rain mate, that was liberal tears. The great unwashed loved being soaked in it. THEY LOVED IT.

Donald Trump is the quintessential American success story….. and an exceptional man in an exceptional time.

For a complete political outsider to contest and win an American Presidential election…. That’s success right there. A successful political system that entitles it and a determined person who can accomplish it. A country can only win when that sort of success comes together.

Anyway, a great day, a great 4th of July display and a great speech.

  25. Texas Jack

Trump is busy filleting his opponents. His simple message? They all HATE America.

  26. C.L.

Some of you are beginning to sound like Obama worshippers.
Behead Those Who Insult The Trump etc.
This particular idea of Trump’s – which he stole from the French – turned into a debacle.
We’re not leftists. We don’t have to worship a leader’s every decision for fear of offending the tribe.

  27. stackja

    C.L. – I disagree.

  28. J.H.

I dunno CL… Obama was a creature of the political class…. Donald Trump is an outside that usurped Hillary Clinton the anointed female President to be…. that was soundly beaten by America choosing Donald Trump…. A lot different than Obama.

You just have to give PDT his due, is all.

  29. struth

Trump hasn’t done much wrong CL.

    Just a fact.
If he did stuff I disagreed with I’d call it out.

    Peace be upon him.

  30. Tel

If he did stuff I disagreed with I’d call it out.

So why is Trump determined to continue helping Saudi Arabia in the Yemen war?

What possible value is there from an “America First” perspective? Congress even gave him an explicit notice that the war is unconstitutional and Trump ignored that.

US Military assets are routinely deployed for PR purposes. That’s why the Blue Angels exist. Whatever the merits of staging a parade, the cost is immaterial to overall military spending.

A happy enjoyable day for families and other to see flyovers and entertainment, feel part of Independence Day even. See the President and the beautiful Mrs Trump. Something to remember, something from the Trump years.

  33. W Hogg

I see sneering leftist Iampenis taking a break from republicanism to sneer at republicanism.

Meanwhile Trump666 got democrats to universally denounce a celebration of Independence Day, and the meeja to boycott it. That seemed worth the $2m set up cost and scheduling a training flight for that day. You can’t tell me they weren’t planning fireworks anyhow. For a year I’ve heard this would be like the military parade in Kim il-Sung Square. It wasn’t. The meeja reported small crowd. It wasn’t. The enemies of the people have never looked more broken.

  34. Old Lefty

For light relief re the airports, there is an urban myth in London that an American tourist at Windsor Castle once asked why the royal family had built the castle under the Heathrow flight path. 😘

  35. none

Old Lefty I was actually in Windsor many years ago and did overhear in American tourist (woman asking her husband) asj why it was built so close to Heathrow. I related that srory to my housemates in London…

    Hmmm, wut?

Let me help you out. “Leftards” applies to people who would support collectivist and rights violating policies like, trillion dollar spending bills, regulating trade and immigration, regulating tech companies. Leftards are the kind of people that support a President attacking the free press and cowardly appeasing communist dictatorships.

In other words, “leftards” is a description of Trump and his supporters, as much as any democrat or progressive.
