Yesterday someone put up Tommy Robinson on Gender Differences. It was very good, and also quite hilarious. His clips of ineffectual women’s soccer playing made even me laugh, and I am no aficionado at all about this game or any other sort of football. Clearly though, these girls were hopeless, just as I would be.

It quite cheered me up to see my own fair sex in general being terrible at something which I’ve always felt I would be terrible at. It’s not just me then. Repost it and youse can all have a laugh at us girls again. Tommy does so well at speaking truth to the current gender bending nonsense.

Boy the Battle of the Behemoths – such class, such sophistication, gracious and restrained – so important to affirm that black lives matter – how many angles but still the same outcome. And Disneyland authorities kicked them out — how racist!

    Windwatch.

TUESDAY 9 MORNING: 8am Wind and Sun combined 2.1 of 27 = 8% and Wind alone (1.2 of 7 plated capacity = 16% of capacity) and 4.5% of demand.

    MONDAY 8 EVENING: 6.20pm Wind at 17% of 7 (plated capacity) delivering 1.1GW of 28.5 demand = 4%.

    MONDAY 8: 8.35AM Wind + Sun combined = 1.9 of 26.3 (7%) and Wind alone 1.1 (17% of capacity) and 4.5% of the load.

    SUNDAY 7th PM: 6.05pm No sun, Wind 1.2GW = 17% capacity & 5% of the 26GW load.

    SUNDAY 7th AM: At 9.20 Sun and Wind delivered 3.5 of 23GW demand = 14%. Wind blowing at 30% capacity gave 2GW = 8%.

British nuclear tests in the desert destroyed a way of life for the Maralinga Tjarutja people

When prime minister Robert Menzies agreed to top-secret British nuclear testing in the South Australian desert, he paved the way for a series of massive explosions that contaminated vast tracts of pristine land.

Menzies’ decision also blasted open a tragic chapter for the region’s indigenous people.

The Maralinga Tjarutja had lived in the South Australian desert for countless generations. But after Menzies’ agreement with the British in 1950, they were forcibly herded away from 3200sq km of their own lands in order to clear the test sites.

The Maralinga Tjarutja would not go home for many decades.

In fact, no one returned to Maralinga except scientists and technicians who made numerous attempts to decontaminate the blighted terrain.

A major breakthrough came in 2009 when the South Australian government authorised the lands to be handed back to their traditional owners.

The then premier Mike Rann commented that this would end “a shameful episode in our history”.

A traditional way of life had been all but destroyed, but now it seemed there was hope.

A traditional way of life had been all but destroyed, but now it seemed there was hope.

Their traditional way of life was like an object described in Newtons first law:

A body at rest will remain at rest, and a body in motion will remain in motion unless it is acted upon by an external force.

And so it was for 60 gajillion years*

Apparently they somewhere and somehow received a guarantee (and we an inescapable obligation) that nothing would ever disturb their society’s unvarying trajectory.

istory teachers have a particular opportunity and challenge to address the question in their classes whether removal of the Confederate monuments is an act of rewriting history, as President Trump has claimed.

As James Grossman, the executive director of the American Historical Association said in a recent article in The New York Times, Mr. Trump’s comments failed to recognize the difference between history and memory, which is always shifting.

When you alter monuments, “you’re not changing history,” he said. “You’re changing how we remember history.”

You and your students can address questions about competing versions of history and the role of historical monuments

… then premier Mike Rann commented that this would end “a shameful episode in our history”.

It wasn’t in the least bit shameful. Menzies was helping to protect the civilised world (and Aborigines) from destruction at the hands of the USSR. The Maralinga tribe should be thankful. But you know what IS shameful? Having sick child r-apist Bob Ellis as your best friend, that’s what.

    Good morning.
It seems the Airing Of Grievances has arrived earlier than normal with NAIDOC Week upon us. The most mind numbing conversations, what should be done to overcome perceived oppression etc. Apparently according to some, jobs should be just handed out as well as housing. No justification needed however. Then we have The Final Quarter screening Thursday night I believe and also on ABC we have remembering country or some such thing.
People may accuse me of picking on my own mob but how can it be empowering to sit at home instead of attending school, or sitting home collecting the dole? I never fulfilled my promise as a student, much to my chagrin and the chagrin of my teachers. But I have employment now which aren’t my dream jobs but essential to you know, stay alive! 🙂

Apparently according to some, jobs should be just handed out as well as housing.

That already happens, BB, at least in QLD.

Free education at leading boarding schools, a job in the public service when you graduate, preference for public housing or low interest loans to purchase your own property and/or business and guaranteed government contracts for said indigenous owned businesses, not to mention bulk-billed indigenous health services and a taxi service to appointments.

I dare say indigenous folk who have the nous to tap into the publicly funded largesse available to them up here are the most privileged minority in society.

Stuff black people like … Brawls at Disneyland:

They are probably honorary white supremacists because real black people would never do such a thing.

Ibrahim was invited to give a lecture on the book last month at the US Army War College. This prompted a smear campaign against him by the Council on American-Isla mic Relations (CAIR), an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008 federal terro rism funding case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, along with Linda Sarsour’s group, MPower Change.

They claimed (without any evidence) that the book “advances an Orientalist and inaccurate view of I slam” and that its “simplistic and flawed version of history — riddled with prejudiced stereotypes of I slam — espouses a dangerous agenda that demonises Mu slims.”

Ibrahim, they said, was a “rac ist” and “I slamophobe” and guilty of “white nationalism”. If allowed to speak before American soldiers, he would “normalise and justify violence against Mu slims, which is already a burgeoning problem for the military.”

Get that? Ibrahim is ethnically an Egyptian. But fall foul of this lot, and however minority- ethnic you may be you suddenly become a white supremacist.

Yes, definitely white supremacists. If an Egyptian is a white supremacist anyone can be a white supremacist!

One slightly out of the way location where best pal at 22 is living a very simple existence after decades doing it tough in business and to put it bluntly older than his age. He 59, she 32, nuts about each other. Meeting his ex business partner in a hour, nicknamed Animal. Now traveling SE Asia and attending AA everywhere he goes. Also met Miss Right here, Poo, might have spelled that wrong. In Bangkok which is horrible after the serenity of last week. Just like old times catching up. Can’t tell you where the lovely ladies were because I want one but when you see the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen on Monday but on Tuesday you see someone more beautiful and so on, well, not sure I’m coming home. Dark Emu puts forward an argument for a reconsideration of the hunter-gatherer tag for precolonial Aboriginal Australians. The evidence insists that Aboriginal people right across the continent were using domesticated plants, sowing, harvesting, irrigating and storing – behaviours inconsistent with the hunter-gatherer tag. Gerritsen and Gammage in their latest books support this premise but Pascoe takes this further and challenges the hunter-gatherer tag as a convenient lie. Almost all the evidence comes from the records and diaries of the Australian explorers, impeccable sources.

Now I am feeling truly disturbed.

Young Dark Emu: A Truer History by Bruce Pascoe

    Reviewed by Dani Solomon
    28 May 2019

Young Dark Emu: A Truer History is a children’s version of Bruce Pascoe’s incredibly popular Dark Emu – a book that explains that Australian Aboriginals at the time of British colonisation were not only hunter gatherers, but also people who made agricultural use of their land. They were people who settled and built villages – something the British denied in order to establish their own claim over the land.

This book is the perfect jumping board for families to talk about Australia’s historical treatment of our Indigenous peoples. It is full of diary entries of settlers from the time – many of which seem mind-blowingly ignorant. It’s full of ingenious ways Aboriginals worked and sustained the land for thousands and thousands of years. But more than anything, Young Dark Emu is an interesting book. After reading it, your kids will want to know more – about our land, its native fauna and flora, its people and how they fought off the Europeans. Young Dark Emu will give your child a thirst for our Indigenous cultures and I cannot think of a better reason to buy a book.

Evidence? Stone structures? Post holes? Nearby settlements which could access this stored this abundance and, when not nearby, the system whereby property rights were enforced against theft.

Here is the giveaway: If someone has to lie about about someone’s achievements to make them more respectable, they are at precisely the same moment and by that precise same act, admitting that in truth they lack that very respectability.

No, I see, it’s not gammage but follows on from that fuckwit’s work.

The key contention in Pascoe’s book is that the whole distinction between the farming colonist and the hunter-gatherer indigene is based on a radical, and frankly self-serving, misunderstanding of the way that the Indigenous peoples of Australia lived in their countries. Pascoe assembles a persuasive case that Indigenous Australians farmed their land, lived in villages, built houses, harvested cereals, built complex aquaculture systems — possibly the earliest stone structures in human history — and led the kind of sedentary agricultural lives that were meant only to have arrived with Europeans in 1788.

White bad, black good. And this is going to be taught in schools.

The agents of the left’s destruction of the West include the RoP, feminists, gender, gays, environmentalism and the aboriginal. All have invented virtues and the (white) Western culture deplored by comparison.

A simple, straight-forward rebuttal of Pascoe’s bullshit is by Gary Johns.

  115. Zulu Kilo Two Alpha

Bruce Pascoe likes to tell a good yarn, and one of his better ones concerns the time that his long-running conflict with academia accidentally turned him into our most influential indigenous historian. This was eight or nine years ago, not long after Pascoe began vehemently proclaiming that generations of Australians had been duped by their history books into the false belief that Aboriginal people were nothing more than spear-throwing nomads before white colonisers arrived here. In fact, he said, Aborigines cultivated crops, built large villages and devised sophisticated dams and aquaculture systems — achievements Australians were so ignorant of that the country was like “an innocent baby” with a paper bag over its head.

At the time he was lobbing these polemical bombs, Pascoe was best known as a writer of fiction and a publisher, pursuits he had subsidised over many decades by working variously as a tourist guide, dairy farmer and fencer. His broadsides against the history profession, he recalls, came to the attention of a group of academics in Canberra who were sufficiently concerned to invite him to an off-campus meeting at one of their homes. Pascoe remembers arriving there in his second-hand ute, having driven to the nation’s capital from his home four hours away in the remote Victorian town of Gipsy Point in East Gippsland. “They said, ‘Look, we don’t want you talking to our students about this stuff, because it’s wrong, it didn’t happen’,” he says. “‘You’re talking about agriculture, but that didn’t happen. Aboriginal people were hunter-gatherers’.”

Pascoe is hazy on the identity of these eminent professors, but remembers that they slapped him over the wrist with utmost civility. “Cup of tea, lovely conversation — nice people, actually. But when I left that meeting, I got in my old beaten-up ute, and I was furious.” He says he drove straight to a second-hand bookstore and plonked down $8 for a copy of the journals of 19th-century explorer Sir Thomas Mitchell, which he cracked open while sitting in the driver’s seat. There his eyes fell on Mitchell’s eyewitness account of Aboriginal villages in Queensland housing more than a thousand people, and “haycocks” of harvested seed-grass stretching for miles, drying in the sun to make flour for native bread. It was then he knew he had his next book. “I have to thank that group of academics,” he says wryly. Because without their intervention, he might never have written his one and only bestseller.

Pascoe’s slim tome, Dark Emu, first published in 2014 by a small non-profit press, has become the unlikeliest nonfiction hit in the country. Subtitled Black Seeds: Agriculture or Accident?, it has sold more than 100,000 copies, won Book of the Year at the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards and is coming soon to a classroom near you. In it, Pascoe argues that the true history of pre-colonial Australia was hidden away for more than 150 years. Not only did Aborigines invent democracy, pioneer humankind’s first complex fishing systems and bake the first loaf of bread, they were agriculturalists with skills superior to those of the white colonisers who took their land and despoiled it.

I went to a lecture by Pascoe at the National library last year. According to him, white explorers were all racist bastards. And yet these genocidal oafs are also somehow managed to be objective enough to documented all this wonderful, Indigenous technology

My recollection – which may or may not be accurate – is that his recounting of these ‘impeccable sources’ was paraphrased. I don’t recall him ever quoting directly from them. Perhaps they are detailed in his book.

Neurally, the Canberra audience lionised him.

about how a group of NAIDOC week Indigenous dancers were reportedly laughed off the stage at a Mt Druitt Secondary College.

According to one dancer’s parent, her daughter was ‘so emotional, and it was so disheartening to see her come home so distressed,”

“It was so inappropriate to stop the performance, especially during NAIDOC week … we love getting out there and sharing our culture but now a lot of the students never want to dance again now.”

According to the school, the performance was simply terminated as a result of a technical hitch and claimed that”Department staff at the event did not witness the allegations you have made..”

Whom to believe. I myself find it hard to accept that any ‘woke’ school school would tolerate the sort of behaviour alleged by the dancers and their parents.

The fact is Western culture is the gold standard; the psychology of identifying with another set of values, be they aboriginal, communistic, gay pride, RoP, means you will inflate or invent the virtues of your own inferior set of values and impugn Western values. It’s a simple but so far effective approach with minimal push-back because one of the primary reasons Western values are the best is because they are relatively so tolerant and this subversive process by groups like aboriginal activists gets a lot traction before people start calling bullshit.

We thus came upon a large lagoon, beside which were the huts of a very numerous tribe of natives, who appeared to have been there very recently, as some of the fires were still burning. Well beaten paths, and large permanent huts, were seen beyond that encampment; and it was plain that we had entered the home of a numerous tribe. I should have gladly avoided them at that time, had not a sight of the river been indispensable, and the course of the creek we were upon, the only certain guide to it. Level plains extended along its banks, and I had been disappointed by the appearance of lofty Yarra trees, which grew on the banks of large lagoons. On approaching one of these, loud shrieks of many women and children, and the angry voices of men, apprised me that we had, at length, overtaken the tribe; and, unfortunately, had come upon them by surprise. “AYA MINYÀ!” was vociferated repeatedly, and was understood to mean, “What do you want!” (What seek ye in the land of Macgregor!) I steadily adhered to my new plan of tactics towards the aborigines, and took not the slightest notice of them, but steadily rode forward, according to my compass bearing. On looking back for my men, I saw one beckoning me to return. He had observed two natives, with spears and clubs, hide themselves behind a bush in the direction in which I was advancing. On my halting, they stole away, and, when a little further on, I perceived an old white-haired woman before me, on seeing whom I turned slightly to one side, that we might not frighten her or provoke the tribe. The whole party seemed to have been amusing themselves in the water during the noon-day heat, which was excessive; and the cool shades around the lagoon looked most luxuriant. Our position, on the contrary, was anything but enviable. With jaded horses scarcely able to lift a leg, amongst so many natives, whose language was incomprehensible, even to Yuranigh. I asked him whether we might not come to a parley with them, and see if they could understand him. His answer was brief; and, without turning even his head once to look at them:—”You go on!” which advice, quite according with my own notions, founded on experience, I willingly went on. Even there, in the heart of the interior, on a river utterly unheard of by white men, an iron tomahawk glittered on high in the hand of a chief, having a very long handle to it. The anxious care of the females to carry off their children seemed the most agreeable feature in the scene, and they had a mode of carrying them on the haunch, which was different from anything I had seen. Some had been digging in the mud for worms, others searching for freshwater muscles; and if the whole could have been witnessed unperceived, such a scene of domestic life amongst the aborigines had been worth a little more risk. The strong men assumed a strange attitude, which seemed very expressive of surprise; having the right knee bent, the left leg forward, the right arm dropping, but grasping clubs; the left arm raised, and the fingers spread out. “Aya, aya, minyà!” they continually shouted; and well might they ask what we wanted! Hoping they would believe us to be Centaurs, and include the two old pack-horses in counting our numbers, I had not the slightest desire to let them know us more particularly; and so travelled on, glad, at length, to hear their “Aya minyàs” grow fainter, and that we were leaving them behind. About five miles further south, the perfume from the liliaceous banks of the river was the first indication of its vicinity. We found it full 400 yards broad, presenting its usual characteristics,—several separate channels and ponds of water; there, according to the barometer, the height above the sea was only 633 feet; the temperature at 3 p.m., in the shade, 99° of Fahrenheit. We watered our horses, crossed, and plunged into the brigalow beyond, where I meant to steal a march upon the noisy tribe; who, by that time, probably were sending to call in their hunting parties, that they might follow our track. Their mode of killing a kangaroo may best exemplify their tactics towards strangers; whose path in the same manner could be followed by day, and sat down beside at night, to be again tracked in the morning, until the object of pursuit could be overtaken.

I wish that we could have more expressions of love and forgiveness rather than condemnation when it came to belief,” she said.

I have to say I’m heartily sick of these banal yet moralistic interventions which are treated by the media as Beatitudes delivered by a towering intellect. It also inverts reality. There is no more condemnatory public figure at the moment than a Leftist near a microphone, and there is nothing more harassed than a white Westerner. Accused of racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, vampirism of other cultures, and so on. There isn’t a day that goes by that we are told not to smoke, drink alcohol, eat this or that food, drive a car, and so on, by some leftist soy boy or girl that hates their patrimony but lives on its ever-shrinking capital.
It also inverts the reality of present-day Christianity which is too scared to say boo in the culture war even to defend its doctrines and teachings, and largely engages in saccharine-like remark such as ‘Who am I to judge?’, a remark that is frankly an abdication given that he is entrusted with the keys by Christ.

The evidence insists that Aboriginal people right across the continent were using domesticated plants, sowing, harvesting, irrigating and storing

So what? If these people read paleo anthropology from around the world they will find that whatever claims made about how advanced aborigines were are not extraordinary in comparison to what is found in many other regions. Have a look at the research on Blombos Cave,Klasies River, Howieson’s Poort, artistic creations going back 70,000 years plus, geometric carving on stones, projectile points, personal adornments(shells strung together), bone tools.

The extrapolations so often made are unwarranted. They say their civilisation has existed for 60,000 years. I consider that an indictment not praise. For example

Uncommon sense: The Heretical Nature of Science
“Our current technology and way of life differ more from that of the eighteenth century than the eighteenth century’s did from that of the time of the pharoahs.”

How do they even know the same culture has existed for that long? I seriously doubt that because civilisations typically exist for hundreds of years. They claimed to be the oldest culture, they might want to consider the San bushmen.

I see this sort of nonsense all the time about how advanced some prior civilisation was, people reaching back into distant history to take pride in their country or culture. I laugh at that because typically those cultures went into decline or failed to advance beyond a certain point, so questions must be asked. What happened that progress was halted? Did the culture have intrinsic constraints that prevented further development? Why didn’t the peoples of the time adapt to the changing circumstances?

Well its advertising is positively pornographic. I just went on my lunchtime walk and passed one of the Honey Birdette stores in Westfield…its advertising is point blank lewd, pornographic and utterly demeaning to women. Now I don’t mind lingerie stores having pictures of women in lingerie…even on the shopfront…in fact I love beautiful lingerie….but this store’s shopfront is obscene. So I am now in the process of writing a complaint to Westfield along with a letter to Ad Standards. I am no rampant feminist but this store’s advertising is appalling.

Well, if one doesn’t realise that sin is condemned by God one will never understand the need for forgiveness that flows from God’s love for us in Christ.

That may explain why a lot of mainstream churches are struggling to make converts; sin has been relegated to something only a Hitler is capable of. The rest of us are all apparently good enough to get into heaven.

That’s right…that’s my issue. I am not opposed to pictures of models wearing lingerie on shop fronts but Honey Birdette’s advertising is pornographic. The advertising I saw today was not tasteful and it most definitely was not sexy, it was downright pornographic. I have just been looking up the issue and Honey Birdette have had multiple complaints over the years…most of which have been upheld. I have just read this…

“”Honey Birdette handed 14th ad ban of 2018 for implying model was available for ‘riding’
    December 18, 2018 3:26
Infamous lingerie advertiser Honey Birdette has had its 14th ad banned this year, this time for suggesting “the model was available for sexual relations, or ‘riding’”.
The ad, which features a woman in lace lingerie reclining on a chair above the text “Take a Ride”, was banned for employing sexual appeal in a way which is exploitative of an individual.
A complaint posted to Ad Standards said the ad was “offensive” because of its placement near a cinema and children’s playground and that it commodifies women.
“This objectification and commodification of women enables a culture that promotes violence against women and inequality,” the complaint said.
Responding to this ruling, Honey Birdette said the result was astounding.
“This year we have pulled back the reins and produced our tamest campaign yet to still be sent a complaint.
“Like any other retailer located in a shopping centre thoroughfare, we have the right to display and advertise our current collections in our store front windows,” the advertiser added.
At the same time, the lingerie brand had another ad banned for not treating the issue of sex, sexuality or nudity with sensitivity.
The complaint said the ad features “half a woman’s genitals” shown across a shop front.
“It’s borderline porn. I don’t believe it’s appropriate for my children to be within sight of this so I have to make sure I avoid that place,” the complaint continued.
The ad in question was banned by Ad Standards, as the woman’s pubic region only had sheer material covering it.
“We have purposefully edited our imagery to remove any nudity that would be considered offensive, and with the great respect we as a brand have for our models, would never put anybody’s ‘genitals’ on display. This is not what Honey Birdette stands for,” Honey Birdette said.
This year alone Honey Birdette has been banned for having an in-store poster which was deemed too sexy and subsequently “confronting”, not treating the issue of sex, sexuality and nudity with sensitivity, a campaign which was sexual and violent in nature, an ad which failed to censure a woman’s nipples, posters which were deemed to be “soft-porn” and an ad which was considered as “sexually suggestive”.”

Mitch, it’s a crock of crap. Every anthropologist worth his salt from Manning Clark to Windschuttle, Blainey, Josephine Flood draw on the work of Norman Tindale and Joseph Birdsell in the 1930s which established there were 3 distinct groups who came to Australia across the land bridges from 40000 bya. The current mob are the most recent from 15000bya. They eat the previous 2 groups, finished off the mega fauna and were in cultural decline when the whites turned up.

Rodney Liddell’s “Cape York – The Savage Frontier” gives an unrelentingly bleak view of the barbaric conditions which prevailed amongst the aboriginals when the whites turned up. Liddell drew upon the monumental work Native Tribes of Central Australia by Spencer, Baldwin, Sir (1860-1929) and Gillen, Francis James (1856-1912) and has been verified by Tony Thomas.

That pascoe’s gibberish will be taught in schools can only exacerbate the growing divide and diminution of goodwill to aboriginal citizens.

Driving down the Sunshine Motorway earlyish this morning, I encountered a woman lying on the road. Obviously unconscious at best. Whatever occurred appeared to have just happened. Some cyclists had stopped and were directing traffic.
    Unconfortable feeling driving away.

    You may have been fortunate.
When I lived in Townsville in the eighties I was driving along Ross river Road, and came across an Aboriginal bloke lying on the road next to a mangled bike.
I pulled up, checked him out, discovered his vital signs were OK, but he was unconscious, so I rolled him into the coma position. This was in the days before mobile phones, so I started to head for a nearby shop to phone 000, when a police car turned up. The two coppers also checked out the cyclist, and then got on their radio to call the ambulance.
Whilst waiting the few minutes it took to get there, they turned their attention to me, and it became obvious very quickly that they assumed I’d knocked him off my bike with my car (my well-loved 1970 Peugeot 404).
It took a fair bit of talking to convince them that I wasn’t responsible. Apparently they both believed that because he was aboriginal, nobody would pull up to help him if they were just going about their business.
This was not what you did in Townsville at the time.
I got a bit hot under the collar, because their tone was intimidatory. They had a job to do, but weren’t doing it whilst exhibiting the courtesy expected of a sworn police officer.
I followed them back to the station when the bloke had been carted off to hospital with a view to submitting a complaint, but was dissuaded by the duty sergeant offering me a verbal apology.
Neither of the two constables apologised.
The injured bloke made a good recovery. Nobody was charged after the incident, which must have been seen, as it was early afternoon in a busy street.
AFAIK, there was no effort made to find witnesses.

What is the morrison alp government going to do about deemed interest rates for pensioners ? At present 3.25 pc for over $80 and 1,75 for under . Where do you get 3.25 pc for$100 k these days , with no risk?

Fred, the recent publicity about peeming rates for pensioners is quite misleading. Even the DSS claims it is an “income test”, when in fact it is a a test on financial assets.
Single pensioners can have financial assets (cash over $10,000, interest bearing deposits, debentures, etc) up to $157,569 and still receive the full pension. Pensioner couples can have up to $278,492. Above those limits, the single pension is reduced progressively until it cuts out completely at a financial asset level of $205, 731.
The controversy is related to the rate used to reduce the pension (the so-called upper deeming rate of 3.25%). The current typical 2-year term deposit rate for amounts under $50k is 1.6%, implying that pensioners invested at that rates lose more pension than they gain in interest once their assets exceed the limit of the “free area” until the assets accumulate to the level when pension income reduces to zero.
The current interest rate settings give no incentive for pensioners to increase their income using investment, save and accept the reduction in pension income.

skin suit sure can cherry pick

clearly hasn’t heard a decent homily in his life

The Lord Jesus is saying more than a simple “Do not judge.” Rather, He warns us to avoid judging without first examining our own lives. The Holy Spirit further clarifies Jesus’ point through St. Paul: Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things . . . . But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God? (Romans 2:1-3)

Thus, if we are to judge the actions of others, we must first ensure our own actions are moral and will stand up to the scrutiny of the Lord who knows all things.

“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, matters pertaining to this life!” (1 Cor. 6:2-3).

  216. Oh come on

The attempt to tie Trump to Epstein is preposterous. Epstein appears to have (or had) an extremely wide circle of friends and acquaintances. There are photos of him hobnobbing with just about everybody who is anybody. Perhaps he’s a charismatic and entertaining individual, as well as a child mole ster. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.

I do note the news media running the exact same line of attack against Epstein as they do to Trump.

1: accuse him of not being that rich

2: dredge up an ancient quote praising him by someone they don’t like (in this case, Trump)

Umm why not let the fact that Epstein’s a convicted child sex offender speak for itself? Who, apart from the MSM morons, cares if he’s not quite a billionaire and that Trump said something nice about him 20 years ago?

you claimed that women were responsible for the decline of the west

Prohibitionism and white feathers were pretty much a women’s thing.

Socialism happened everywhere after the franchise was granted. You have to remember the suffragettes were (literal) terrorists. I agree that taxation without representation is tyranny. Arguably, so is taxation whilst those incapable of paying tax get to vote.

What I find humourous is the ERA in the USA. It was proposed a long time ago. US conservatives and progressives opposed it because they did not want equality.

    “It was never about equality…”

  218. Frank Walker from National Tiles

Trump said something nice about him 20 years ago?

Now you’re getting it. No matter what, Trump would be responsible for a Korean war or a conflict agitated for by both Iran and Saudi Arabia.

  219. Infidel Tiger

you claimed that women were responsible for the decline of the west

    51% culpability.

Wow, Numpty is quite the biblical scholar. Such an obscure passage.

Numpty’s grasp on pretty much everything is embarrassingly undergraduate.

Nota, what does the bible say about being a good wife to a husband?

How does the Bible expect men to treat their wives?
    Why?

you claimed that women were responsible for the decline of the west

You can’t be responsible for any of it because it has all been given by men, and can be taken away by men.

Unfortunately, the cruel reality of the world is that if us blokes decide to go mooosy and put you all in black sheets, that’s what will happen.
We don’t want to, because we are decent western christian based men.

But we need to take back the reigns a bit.
I have neither the time nor patience to explain to the protected sex why this is the case, but I guarantee you the men here know exactly what I am talking about.

  223. Mitch M.

Wong was addressing the phrasing. Instead of the negative, “You’re all going to hell!” Folau could have stated, “By coming to Christ you can be freed of these afflictions and live a fulfilling and meaningful life.” A positive affirmation is more persuasive than a negative one.

  224. notafan

I don’t think white feathers caused the decline of the west

and prohibition, which iirc was only in the US, was the cause of an increase in the power of organised crime (men) but not the decline of the west

And who gave women the vote (hint it wasn’t women)

That still doesn’t bring us to the decline of the west which in and of itself is debatable as a thing

    what is declining

    longevity?

    living standards?

    morality?

    manners?

Stephen Hawking was chummy with Epstein. Hawking was clearly a rockspider. I mean, just look at him. That sleazy voice and his lecherous gaze.

Another interesting summary of the MDB debacle (from 2GB):

Finally South Australia have been outed for manipulating the science but it is far worse than this interview indicated . In 1985 the South Australian Government in order to cover up its culpability in destroying the Coorong listed the Coorong under the Ramsar Convention as a reverse estuary ie it received its fresh water from the Murray Darling Basin which it never did , its natural flows came from the now highly compromised South East of South Australia unconfined aquifer in the south . To make this charade work they then listed the Lower Lakes as an artificial elevated fresh water system under the 1985 Ramsar Convention as this is the only way it is possible to ram fresh water up the arse of the Coorong from the north as water does not flow uphill in a natural state . Malcolm Turnbull’s 2007 Water Act then locks this in place by stating we must abide by the International agreements being the Ramsar Convention which then underpins the 2012 Murray Darling Basin Plan which then proceeds to suck dry our upstream storages creating a monumental disaster throughout the basin destroying families and communities

Alright, bring it in tight boys. Fair shake of the sauce bottle.

One does not shave down there, one depilates.

The insinuation that one shave one’s intimate areas happens to be both bourgeois and gauche.

I affirm that Catallaxy Files has not parabolically and gravitationally exceeded a carcharodon carcharias or one of its congeners.

I now return to just our regular programmatic specificity.

Tis better to keep a wife from idleness as the apple of temptation gleams brightly in the vision of the bored housewife.
Thou art should demand from her tempting morsels from the kitchen , but above all, keep her occupied.

The Gradian is now not the story about the Indigeoius dancers being allegedly mocked at Mt Druit school:

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jul/09/indigenous-teenagers-say-they-were-laughed-at-during-a-school-performance-this-is-emotional-abuse

The author, one Lowanna Gibson, an Indigenous academic, takes the opportunity to parade her own emotional scars from whitey racism. This bit struck me:

‘There was the time when a friend in the Transport for New South Wales graduate program, upon meeting me for the first time, asked if I received benefits (a totally normal conversation to have with a stranger).

This was just one instance of many where I was subject to racism during the three horrific years of the program. But the worst of it is that in the majority of these incidents not one person intervened.’

Transport for NSW is a very large organisation performing diverse functions and employing people from many different backgrounds with many different types and levels of skills, education and experience. Yet I and it difficult to believe that a government agency would allow an Indigenous employee to be subject to ‘three horrific years’ of racism or that it would fail to respond very swiftly and effectively indeed to the complaints that she – presumably – made.

I also find it difficult to believe that anyone of average sensibility would be so crass as to ask her what benefits she received. It is, never the less, a important issue in any discussion of privilege and racism.

Transport for NSW advertises special recruitment programmes for Indigenous Australians. It is a reasonable working hypothesis that these programmes (a) exempt Indigenous Australians from having to compete for jobs with people from other races and (b) that racial victim Ms Gibson was a beneficiary of one of these programmes. .

Wong is everywhere wrong. She’s a lesbian who once used to date Weatherill – which only goes to show gain you are not really born that way (and in fact studies indicate that lesbians are more likely to change their predilections between male and female than homosexual men and do some more frequently – and a lesbian who basically hates the fact that traditional Christians (meaning not apostate Uniting Church adherents) won’t budge on the matter of homosexual activity as being sinful. This makes Wong angry because in Wong’s world everything must revolve around her.

Jesus once told a parable about a man who found a treasure in a field and sold everything he had to buy that field.

Modern day paraphrase: If you want to hang onto your fuckEd- arse dykedom over and above God’a kingdom (= gods rule over yiur own life) then really you don’t want god so take your strap-on and go your merry way and get out of every one’s faces. God will certainly make sure you will be in the hell that you want to be, hell being where God is absent.

If however you are so sure that God intended for men to shove their dicks up other men’s shitholes and women to cavort with other women then why the hang ups? You must know better than even Jesus Christ himself. Go take your strap-on and piss off out of people’s faces.

But if you truly believe in God and believe that he spoke through Jesus Christ and that god loves you and seeks your good, then you would give up everything to follow him. Even your f****** strapon and your stupid dykedom.

    Epstein flight logs.

    A lot of 1 female, 2 female”, 3 female”among the passengers.
Yes slick Willie is there but so are his bodyguards, who I assume would be pretty careful about potential entrapment?

Also a heap of helicopter flights which dont mention anything about passengers.
