Poppycock

In September, the Sydney Morning Herald reported a revolutionary culture change: according to a new UNSW study, “women across Australia are purchasing sex” – driven by the need for sexual ‘safety’ and understanding. Wow. That’s something. Let’s hear from the lone woman cited by reporter Sarah Keoghan:

Rachel* was in her 40s when she first purchased sex.

As a transgender woman, she had experienced life-long reservations about her own body and didn’t want to risk her emotional and physical security by diving into online dating. After talking to a friend in the industry, she contacted a sex worker.

“It was like hitting a gold mine,” she said.

That was the first indication that this ‘study’ by Dr Hilary Caldwell – who interviewed just 21 “women” for her doctoral thesis on this subject – may not be as nationally consequential as touted. A “transgender woman” is not, after all, a woman.

Today, the ABC is running the same report and the same angle:

When it comes to paying for sex in Australia, there’s a demographic of buyers that is growing: women.

The pursuit of pleasure is a major motivation, but it’s not the only one. Women are seeing sex workers to learn about their bodies, deal with stress or trauma and experiment in an environment they consider safe.

“People think, ‘oh, go along to a sex worker and have whips and needles or something’,” says white-collar worker Jocelyn*, who says a sex worker helped her recently after a period of significant work stress.

As it turns out, Jocelyn for the ABC – like “Rachel” for Fairfax – is the sole informant. In the thirty-first paragraph we learn:

For Jocelyn, who is a transwoman, the opportunity to better understand her body carried extra significance.

So there you have it: the top left-wing media organisations in the country are promoting a ‘study’ of 21 people – an unspecified number of whom are not even women – whose purported finding is that Australian women are increasingly turning to sex workers. But so far the only examples presented are two biological males.

There is a serious point to be made here about respect. Defining transexuals as women (in this case) may bolster the click-ability, media attention and academic kudos of the authors because it will tend to exaggerate findings and their implications. But these people are not statistical builder’s filler. They are human beings.

Their abc just cut short the rural country hour market reports to cross to the cricket.

Took a moments concentration to realise that it was wymynsys cricket being broadcast.

Notice that in the foxtel/abc guides it is not branded as womens cricket, like the womens football is branded, it is just pretended that it is genderless and equal.

I was told by activists a while back when they first pushed womens sport as a ratings success that the way to get the proles watching was to give them no choice.

Ultimately all sport will become political, not long now until their abc do as the Tyrant’s media does in China, and makes celebrities out of the riot squads flogging the democracy protests.

  2. Tim Neilson

and makes celebrities out of the riot squads flogging the democracy protests.

We could do democracy and the rule of law a favour in both HK and Victoria by swapping our respective police forces.

Well said, C,L., and congratulations on becoming a formal part of the Cat stable!

  4. Are they seeking sex with biological men or biological women?

  5. I thought it was common knowledge for years that some high achieving women who found it hard to match up with men of equal capacity would make do with companions who are paid in cash or kind in return for good company and sex. Some make do with “walkers” who are good company but not sex partners. And men have always done the same thing. There are agencies and also dating sites to provide partners for all tastes, no doubt they have trans on their books already.
Some will recall the D Notices in the old Nation Review.

  6. Crossie

Back to the ABC story of purchasing sex, the transgender women cannot get it any other way. There aren’t enough transgender men to make normal hookups viable. It somehow never occurs to the ABC reporters that if they are so invested in the success of the transgender experiment they should get involved physically and not just metaphorically. Put some skin in the game.

Given the emphasis on non-female “females”, the headline, rather than “Poppycock”, should be “Mummycock”

    Yes.

Germaine Greer (God bless her white cotton socks) said that men who think they are women, are mistaken

I agree with her surgical articulation of the truth

Germaine has long been a radical, but she’s not completely stupid and after fighhting for women’s rights for so long is not going to be railroaded by a bunch of blokes with “issues” pretending to women

it’s escapism .. can’t cope? become something else but sooner or later, you run out of options and then, lordy lordy, it’s consequences of poor decisions

No, poppycock is the right term. The removal of the offending appendage rarely happens.

  11. Percy Popinjay

Transexuals, to quote Kathy Shaidle, are mentally ill castration fetishists.

In any sane world they’d be pitied, not celebrated.

That’s a good point – an increasing number of adults claiming to be transexuals are of course, seeking to be fashionable. Children on the other hand, are incapable of making an informed decision and are manipulated by adults who want the human equivalent of the latest designer puppy.

  13. ArgyBargy

John Constantine, that is because Cricket Australia does not compete in Men’s cricket. When registering my son for his all boy u12 team recently, the choice was a “mixed” team or a girls team, no option of a boys team. Has been for several years even though he has only ever played against a handful of girls over 6 years, and they are 2 years older than the boys so they might be competitive.

  14. mh

I saw the stats once on post op trannies becoming prostitutes.

It is an incredibly high percentage.

    WTF?

  16. Shy Ted

I reckon “Rachel” is Penny Wong and “Jocelyn” is Fran Kelly.

  17. Old Lefty

Your taxes at work. JJJ has recently been running a series promoting the p0rn industry and offering advice from the Scarlet Alliance on ‘how to book a s3x worker’.

    …and their respective citizens too.

The Hong Kong people are willing to risk death to keep the totalitarians out.

Victorians voted them in and instead want to whine about “Climate Change™”

Those parents should be shot. They are evil.

  21. Suburban Boy

It looks like Dr Caldwell was thinking outside the box.

  22. JC

I’m confused here. “Rachel-in-her-40’s”, is he banging female hookers or other blokes? How about ABC’s “Jocelyn”? It doesn’t change my opinion of this groundbreaking study as I’m simply curious. That’s all.

Cutting to the chase, two blokes pretending the sheilas are paying for sex and both the SMH and their ABC think this is a trend for women.

    hahahahahahahahhaha This is insanity.

  23. JC

I thought it was common knowledge for years that some high achieving women who found it hard to match up with men of equal capacity would make do with companions who are paid in cash or kind in return for good company and sex

That’s Richard Gere’s movie from either the Late 70s or very early 80s called American Gigolo. There’s one very funny movie, Deuce Bigalow- Male Gigolo. Lauren Hutton was in Gere’s movie. She looked really good.

  24. Percy Popinjay

two blokes pretending they’re sheilas are paying for sex and both the SMH and their ABC think this is a trend for women

Could be worse, JC – the trannies could be pretending to be test cricket commentators. ALPBC and Fauxfax headline: “More women commentating on test cricket – a positive breakthrough!”

  25. Jo Zansag

In any sane world they’d be pitied, not celebrated.

Pretty sure the world has checked out and there is no sanity remaining.

The trans rabbithole is endless and I could not fathom that there is a way out of the damn thing. Appropriation of hairstyles is howled down, appropriation of “woman” is celebrated.

  26. C.L.

You have got to understand clown world.

You have to be more crazy than the Joker to beat the Joker.

Be like bat man and be more crazy.

No mother or father. Parent A and B. Randomly choose for male and female. BOOM! Unfairness to men, gone!

Imagine an idiot judge or lawyer saying “but the child really needs their Parent A!”.

Transgender male presenting lesbians really need to find allies in men, against those oppressive TERFs.

  27. I don’t believe this.

There are no women under 50 called Jocelyn.

  28. That’s a good point – an increasing number of adults claiming to be transexuals are of course, seeking to be fashionable

Good lord. You hope these people don’t design any food products or bridges.

  29. Jupes

The RSPCA probably banned them from having kittens and puppies, so they’re just making do, Jupes.

Well called FW. I think you just spotted some fake made up crap. But, my question is, who sends out the talking points to the media to come up with this tosh. I guess it is all about supporting the current leftist “cause de jour ” to support the UN agenda.

  31. Chris M

Yes, I’ve had this problem with strange women even jumping into my car.

Well I work in a rough area and had just stopped to post a letter, heh seems she thought I stopped for something else.

  32. Chris M

I’m confused here. “Rachel-in-her-40’s”, is he banging female hookers or other blokes? How about ABC’s “Jocelyn”?

You could call into the ABC newsroom and chat to them if you want more detail, along with the other 19.

  33. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

If the trannies have had the chop then they probably have had a similacra vagina made out of the now-redundant left overs. Doubtless they want to try out the new bit with a bloke although I can’t see it as being much like the experience a real woman has with vaginal penetration.

Sadly, I expect a lot of disappointment ensues for these men wanting to turn nature around. Certainly a sensitivity to their emotional needs is something these researchers seem to have not nuch considered by featuring their experimentation in the public arena.

As to names, trannies seem to go for names that parents may not have chosen; names out of era or invented in some way, perhaps combining an aspect of the man’s original male name with a feminizing component. All very disturbed, imho.

  34. Nob

My trannie colleague went for a name as unlike her him name as possible. Said it’s a big mistake to choose a similar name.

This was like 15 years ago when you could actually feel sorry for folk like that.

  35. 2dogs

Is this from those trans women who became such due to improperly treated autogynephilia rather than gender dysphoria, i.e. they also claim to be “lesbians”, and what they are actually doing is having hetrosexual sex with female prostitutes?

Neither “Rachel” or “Jocelyn” identify the sex of the prostitute they hired, so I am guessing this is the case.

The clue is in this paragraph…

As a transgender woman, she had experienced life-long reservations about her own body and didn’t want to risk her emotional and physical security by diving into online dating. After talking to a friend in the industry, she contacted a sex worker.

What’s happening here is this. Bloke wants to pretend to be a woman. So when it comes to sex, he has to switch from being a…….ermmmm, how should I put this…from being a giver, to being a receiver.
If the new “sheila” hasn’t had an op, then there is only one way to receive; from behind.
That’s why (s)he didn’t want to “dive into online dating,” hence a sex worker to help with the ‘how to’ and some practice to get good at it..

  37. Googling ‘autogynephilia’, I read one trans-woman claiming that half of the similarly inclined they know are asexual and eschew even self-pleasuring. Very curious and usefully diverting. We need someone to write a primer explaining it all.

  38. Andre Lewis

When did the relatively rare cases of cross dressing males become transgender women? In both cases its a dress up fetish rather than surgery so the male characteristic remain.

  39. Tim Neilson

We need someone to write a primer explaining it all.

It’s probably being taught in Victorian primary schools. Just see if you can get copies of the set texts.

  40. Jo Zansag

Absolutely it is. The Gender Fairy was written in 2015 by a concerned Mum for her kids.
Start to worry now… the cross dressing men of the world want company.

I was told by activists a while back when they first pushed women’s sport as a ratings success that the way to get the proles watching was to give them no choice.

Well, it actually is a choice: in the style of “take it or leave it.” Equivalent to that long-gone store name Buckley’s & Nunn.

I am going out on a limb here but I venture to suggest that the second option is being exercised by viewers using their remote to select another channel.

  42. Jo Zansag

I wonder if viewers will enjoy women’s sport once it is made up entirely of the men in frocks that want to join in?

Laurel Hubbard should make for interesting viewing in the 2020 olympics, move over ladies.

  43. What I meant was a primer explaining why men declare that they are transitioning to the a woman. My uneducated theory is that it is a useful chat-up line for those who cross-dress and those who claim to suffer autogynephilia. I have known of cross-dressers who have done well. Some women find these men fascinating.

  44. Knuckles….. Would you volunteer to test my theory?

  45. cohenite

FMD, this world needs a good cleansing; biblical even.

  46. Seconded Cohenite.
Don’t worry, it’s coming a lot quicker than anyone expects.
