Will be interesting if Trump actually ends up insisting on a trial in the Senate.

This reminds me of the plot of Tomorrow Never Dies… at what point does the media cross from reporting the news to making it?

  2. Mother Lode

So we have Hannah Gadsby the comedian declaring that comedy does not have to make you laugh or be a light treatment of something weighty, but can be a droning monologue of misery.

And we have the news networks – once the epitome of gravitas – as a source of laughter.

(For a person with such an antagonism toward men, it is strange that she insists on dressing and looking like one.)

    Monty loves stuff like that

    Ha, ha.
That vid is pretty much mUnter’s last three years compressed into 5 minutes.
    Sad.

  4. Dr Fred Lenin

How many famous comedians lived and worked in socialist countries ?
None ,they dont have , comedians , not allowed , they might make the people laugh at their great leaders stupidity , If you dont believe me watch the alpbc pretend omedy shows ,that should convince you .

Big fleas have little fleas upon their backs to bite ’em,
And little fleas have lesser fleas, and so, ad infinitum.

    All the commentariat.

(Apologies to fleas, that suck blood without malice or rancour but according to their ordained task in nature.)

  6. Iampeter

Dear members of the media, if you want to understand why no one cares about impeachment and minds are not being changed, watch this and understand.

Plenty care about the impeachment and all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached.

The fact that it might not be enough is an indictment and not something to celebrate.

Will be interesting if Trump actually ends up insisting on a trial in the Senate.

I’m not sure if Trump, or you, understand that would mean he would need to be impeached first.

  7. Elderly White Man From Skipton

“No one cares about impeachment” is much like saying “I could walk down fifth avenue and shoot someone and no one would care”. More and more we can see how the Trump influence is a direct assault on the rule of law.

Even the Democratic Party’s zombies from Adam Schiff down now realise their latest Get Trump impeachment fiasco is a bust. Tucker Carlson Tonight charts the Democratic Party’s self-beclownment. Skip Montyesque DNC wrongologist Richard Goodstein at 16.00, but do stay on for Mark Stein’s demolition of serial liar Elizabeth Warren at 29.00.

That makes me dishonest with no morals, Iampeter. I strive not to be that way.

One reason the left is so sensitive to mockery is that many of their positions are mere spells woven from words. Not real.

To mock the words will break the spell.

That floppy git, Wil Anderson, who made the joke about someone identifying as a robot and being swiftly denounced for hatespeech (for which he immediately dropped to the floor in obsequious obeisance and begged forgiveness) is a case in point.

If you mock the ‘identify as’ condition, make people laugh at how absurd it is (when someone identifies as Napoleon and thinks they are a French Emperor we lock them up), then the whole gender thing disappears.

If you take away the ‘I identify as…’ then there is no other substance to someone being cis-xeno-gendered cleaning-equipment-curious thing at all.

Just a guy with profound issues he can’t or won’t face.

Hopefully after the Horowitz report drops on 9 Dec we will see a bit of rule of law.
The Democrats need a lesson in it.

all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached.

Really? I don’t think of myself as dishonest and unprincipled and I certainly don’t think he should be impeached.

  17. Chris

“No one cares about impeachment” is much like saying “I could walk down fifth avenue and shoot someone and no one would care”. More and more we can see how the Trump influence is a direct assault on the rule of law.

More and more we see that hyperbolic statements of others are used by crapweasels to justify their own side’s rhetorical lust for political murder.

  18. Tom

Plenty care about the impeachment and all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached.

You really are a leftard stooge, IamGoebbels.

  19. Lee

Plenty care about the impeachment and all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached.

You constantly attack President Trump, but never have a go at the Democrats and left in general.

And yet you accuse conservatives here of being left wing!

  20. Tiny Dancer

all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached

said noone, ever, unless they’re on the m0ron koolaid.

  21. Fred Furkenburger

I think even the Democrats themselves are unsure about impeachment and that this is just a “show” trying to create more “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. At present in the Congress the Republics are powerless to call witnesses. If it goes to trial in the Senate then the Repulicans will be free to call whomever they like. That could open up a real can of worms for the Democrats given their misuse of the DOJ, CIA and the FBI as their playthings in their attempts to unseat a President not to their liking. If it does go to the Senate we may need to buy copious amounts of pocorn.

  22. Overburdened

Ha! The first time I have been jammed by YouTube when trying to copy the link for you delectation.

Larry Elder is an amiable and refreshingly natural bloke, or he’s the greatest actor in the World.

The Larry Elder show- Epoch Times typed into will get you there.

His easy presentation of how fucked the democrats are is clever and factual, if not discussing all the facts that no one knows about yet.

  23. Overburdened

The resident dissident makes a remarkable judgement in his post about the sad state of things if President Trump doesn’t get impeached.

The word fuckwit springs to mind.

If the resident dissident was merely doing a shiff and his post was a parody, my humblest apologies.

  24. Elderly White Man From Skipton

More and more we see that hyperbolic statements of others are used by crapweasels to justify their own side’s rhetorical lust for political murder.
Chris your problem is that you have a side. Most of us don’t need the childhood security of gang mentality. Trump has paraded his disdain for laws and the behaviours that sustain respected institutions such as Presidency.

  25. John of Mel

your problem is that you have a side

Yes, our side is called the Western civilisation.
    What do you stand for?

Trump has paraded his disdain for laws

Even if you’re right in this regard, the more important question is – did he brake any laws? Or is it just the “vibe of the thing” for you?

the behaviours that sustain respected institutions such as Presidency

Like what? Politely and solemnly selling down your country to the highest bidder?

    Yep, definitely the vibe.

  26. Dr Fred Lenin

Must feel uplifting to be a member of the same party as clintons pelosi schiff biden. Obummer models of propriety pure as the driven snow ,clean of all bribery and corruption bet they sleep well with their clear conciences . This impeachment thing was to keep the existing leaders in front of the young crazy communists trying to drive the left media away from pelosi schiff etc they are trying to steal the limelight .
Of course being lefties the decromat politburo have gone in too deep ,when the senate questions them and Barr Horowitz start to prosecute their minions they wont emerge unscathed ,the usual left outsmarting themselves , if you fall in a hole you dug keep digging ,if at first you dont succeed keep trying the same thing one day it might work ,yeah right !
A media point ,when did you last hear the crazy communist women of colour mentioned ?
You havent ? Must bethe impeachment scam getting the headlines do you think?

  27. America’s leftard media … seem to have the combined IQ of a drought affected turd .

  28. The BigBlueCat

Plenty care about the impeachment and all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached.

So only honest and principled people believe in the DNC rhetoric that Trump should be impeached? I assume you include yourself there, Iampeter. So enlighten us … what is the basis for his impeachment? What is the “smoking gun” evidence?

I’m not sure if Trump, or you, understand that would mean he would need to be impeached first.

    That’s a given. I haven’t heard anyone say otherwise.

BTW – you do realise that Trump is a fan of Atlas Shrugged! don’t you?

  29. Cynic of Ayr

In the vid, Feb 2017 this crap started.
Over and over, Bombshell, Beginning of the end, on and on they go, and not a glimmer of realisation that what they assured – guaranteed! – was going to happen, never, ever did.
It takes of them a lot of cold blooded ignorance, to gloss over their own ignorance.

  30. Trump has paraded his disdain for laws and the behaviours that sustain respected institutions such as Presidency.

This bloke is mainlining Little’ Brian Stelter.

Disdain for the law! How dare a reforming politician have disdain for pre-existing law!

  31. Charles Rasp

So, IamPecker …. exactly which laws has he disdained?

  32. Lee

Chris your problem is that you have a side. Most of us don’t need the childhood security of gang mentality. Trump has paraded his disdain for laws and the behaviours that sustain respected institutions such as Presidency.

Obama showed more than his “disdain for laws” on a number of occasions.

And you don’t have a “side”?

    Pull the other one.

  33. Elderly White Man From Skipton

I saw what you did with that brake John: you really pulled me up!

Frank: Rule of law, it’s an old idea. Some of us think it’s the basis of civil society. (BTW: what reform?)

Lee: you think Obama a benchmark? Or what?

Surprised really that so many here are in favour of gangsterism in public life. It’s indefensible in my book.

  34. Rule of law is not the same as not disliking the law.

Trump hasn’t broken the law, he redrafted an executive order that was poorly drafted.

You’re a stooge of people who consider you a peasant.

Trump would much more likely give you the time of day than Joe Biden.

But go and die on the dung heap that is Joe Biden, if that makes you happy, white trash.

  35. Elderly White Man From Skipton

Your charm is endless Frank on the Tiles. But I wish you’d leave the gin bottle aside. Now, about that TRump “reform”; have you anything?

  36. Sean

Plenty care about the impeachment and all honest and principled people believe Trump should be impeached.

For what moron? Beating Hillary “side-of-beef” Clinton? For endlessly trolling leftist losers? For continuously improving the lives of ALL Americans since taking office? No crime has been commited, but idiots like you believe schiff for brains because you’re nothing more than lifeless NPC’s and you cannot over ride your leftist programming.

Here, I’ll prove it: Joe biden BRAGGED that he did the very thing that Trump is accused of doing. Care to comment on that? Huh? Joe Biden is the Dem front runner and may well be the next POTUS. Will you, as a commited leftist NPC apply the same rule to Dems that you INSIST be applied to republicans? Yeah, I didn’t think you would. Hypocrite !!!!!!!

  37. have you anything?

Nominate the crime or crimes committed, white trash.

  38. Here, I’ll prove it: Joe biden BRAGGED that he did the very thing that Trump is accused of doing.

    Exactly.

Amazing that the Dems and ALP true believers would die in a ditch for scum like Biden when they have legitimate candidates like Bernie, Tulsi, Yang etc.

It’s more about insiders shafting outsiders (ala supercandidates) again and ultimately their constituents.

  39. Colonel Crispin Berka

This is a situation where the President tried to achieve the morally right outcome through a method that was illegal.

To a large degree POTUS elections are sadly about personalities not policies, about the character and not so much the legislature. It is therefore relevant to the American people as to whether Joe Biden (in the words of the relevant law) sought to obtain for another person a thing of value personally in return for being influenced in the performance of any official act. Again the relevant law that both Trump and Biden broke is:

    18 U.S. Code § 201 (b) (2) (A):
    (2) being a public official or person selected to be a public official, directly or indirectly, corruptly demands, seeks, receives, accepts, or agrees to receive or accept anything of value personally or for any other person or entity, in return for:
    (A) being influenced in the performance of any official act;
…shall be fined under this title or not more than three times the monetary equivalent of the thing of value, whichever is greater, or imprisoned for not more than fifteen years, or both

I have already spelled out the argument for it having been broken by Trump. This was done in a comment last week which nobody replied to and indeed regular Cats did not seem to want to touch with a bargepole.

What Eric “Totally Not The Whistleblower” Cia..mella probably meant with his now famous Inauguration Day tweet was that it was only a matter of time before this president would do something they could nail him for. That appears to have happened. (It’s for the WH meeting not the military aid.)

What is the only wriggle-room that Trump has in his defense if this goes to the Senate? There is perhaps one argument he can make that may be accepted. So he can be impeached, be acquitted by the Senate trial, and stay in office with probably an even bigger chance of “4 more years”. This argument is that:
    1) Requesting an investigation is not requesting a particular outcome of the investigation which therefore carries the possibility that the Bidens are cleared by Ukraine, and
    2) Requesting an investigation announcement does not necessarily benefit the President personally if the investigation timeline does not match the USA election cycle or its existence is dismissed as innuendo by the public and so in absence of any clear result does not affect their voting choice, and
    3) For as long as Joe Biden is a political candidate, all American voters benefit from knowing whether Joe Biden is or isn’t guilty of foreign corrupt dealings under USC 201, and
    4) therefore imposing the condition of the investigation announcement is not asking for a thing that is necessarily only of personal benefit to the President since it is a benefit to the public in the same way it is a benefit to the President (though maybe not to the same extent).

All this guardhouse lawyer routine is probably moot. PredictIt currently has an impeachment outcome paying 76c on the dollar, implying it is unsurprising and likely. Ladbrokes is still paying odds 11/2 for Trump “To be removed from office via Impeachment or Resignation in 1st term”, implying it is surprisingly unlikely. In total these betting markets are predicting an impeachment followed by an acquittal. It remains to be seen if the acquittal will be for the reasoning I’ve suggested or whether it is just sheer loyalist Republican control of the Senate votes that does it.

  40. Elderly White Man From Skipton

Oh dear Frank. So early in the day. I’d suggest you put away the bottle and do some you tbe searches for the very many hours of evidence. Yet I fear it’s another day of slugging it down and the usual intemperate lashings.

  41. stackja

MSM/Never Trumpers insisted he was gone soon after he entered the race, was nominated, was elected…

  42. Lee

Lee: you think Obama a benchmark? Or what?

Only a “benchmark” of what not to aspire to.
I suppose you see him as a role model?

Surprised really that so many here are in favour of gangsterism in public life. It’s indefensible in my book.

    A childish, ridiculous comment.

    Now cite some examples.

So what happened to the Mueller indictments, champion?

Why are the Democrats, besides that ugly freak Schiff, backing away from impeachment?

You really are dumb enough that that you’d die on a mountain of excrement for Joe Biden, a corrupt, rich socialist politician in another country.

Fucking sad. You poor stupid c**t.

Frank! At 8am!!!! Call the doctor, man.
