And the children lived happily ever after?

Given that marriage is an inherently repressive social institution, we await the domestic violence stats with ‘bated breath.

Well if they can’t have a real marriage, they can pretend, I guess.

Lesbian couples two and a half times more likely to get divorced than male same-sex couples, ONS figures reveal (2017)

Lesbian couples are more than twice as likely to get divorced than gay men, new figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) have revealed.

The data shows that there were 112 divorces of same-sex couples in 2016 – a fivefold rise on the previous year, when there were 22.

More than three quarters of the splits (78 per cent) in England and Wales were between lesbian couples. In total, 87 ended their unions, compared with just 25 for divorces between gay men.

Unreasonable behaviour – which can include having a sexual relationship with someone else – was the most common grounds for divorce among same-sex couples.

It accounted for 96 per cent of divorces among men and 93 per cent among women.

She left me for another woman, wah!

I’ve never seen reported any kind of identification of the perps.
Which means they are not Caucasian.

FWIW, the popularity of marriage amongst “ladies who wear sensible shoes” is due to the fact that they can “dwess up in white fwocks, and look all pwetty and nice” and send a big “fuck you” to straight people.

Guys guys i have an awesome idea.

Lets make films where the main scene is a lady getting married.
Ive heard rumors ladies like these scenes in movies, so we will make a killing.

Im amazed Hollywood hasnt latched onto the idea for the last 80+ years or so.

Menopausal lesbians have been playing dress-up for years as Anglican ‘clergy’, so why not ‘marriage’?

TheirABC. Putting the ‘science’ in sociology.

Ms Mackie has observed this trend through her work as a celebrant, 10 of the 11 gay marriages she has officiated were lesbian weddings.

Her experience couldn’t possibly be explained by homos having a preference for male marriage celebrants.

I wonder of they will closely track the divorce stats as well? The running joke in the US is what does a lesbian bring to a second date? a U-Haul trailer, alluding to a tendency to move in together and rapidly form short lasting relationships. Time will tell, as true love wins through.

Wonder what the divorce rate would be amongst male poofters ? They would be real nasty bitchy breakups of the poofs I have met are any guideline . Suppose the females are Just as bitchy. Nasty people .

I’m glad the lesbians weren’t too tonguetied in coming forward about their marriage and break up experiences. But I hope the experts weren’t too cocksure in reaching their conclusions.

I always knew the whole Gay Marriage thing was really lesbian bullsh*t.

We were never that interested really. Its a chick thing. Always was.

Well obviously. Males straight or homo are promiscuous compared with females. Marrige tends to cramp the style. During my uni days a lesbian doing research in to domestic violence told me some home truths about the level. Apparently going to the police after being bashed is grounds for exclusion from the lesbian community. Some nonsense about being an oppressed group. Sounded more like abusers protecting themselves. Could have changed in the last 15 years or so but I doubt it. On the telly the domestic violence ads always have the white male being the perp which is a bit of a joke when you look at the stats for aboriginal women and other protected groups.

There is some concern in Anglican circles about a gay takeover of their church.

I would have thought it’s obvious — the purple habits of Anglican clergy is an unwitting or perhaps even a surreptitious ‘come hither look’ cast towards the LGBT community!
